계면 누수를 통한 자착형 방수시트의 저온 부착 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristic of adhesion on the low temperature concrete of self adhesive waterproofing sheet using interface leakage test.)

  • Recently, waterproof construction used to self adhesive waterproofing sheet in the actual field in winter for reduce cost and term. However self adhesive waterproofing sheet's quality is declined in low temperature condition. So, this study was to confirm on the low temperature condition of concrete substrate effecting the adhesion of self adhesion waterproofing sheet using interface leakage test. As a result of this study, self adhesion waterproofing sheet must not be used at temperature below 5℃. Also, adhesion between waterproofing sheet and concrete is declined in low temperature.

산소 저온 플라즈마 처리에 의한 실리콘코팅 막 구조원단의 접착특성 (Properties of Silicone-coated Fabric for Membrane Treated by Oxygen Low Temperature Plasma)

  • Silicone-coated fabric were treated by oxygen low temperature plasma to improve the adhesion. The surface of silicone-coated fabric was modified with gaseous plasma of several discharge power in the presence of oxygen gas at 1Torr pressure. Oxygen plasma treatment introduces oxygen-containing functional groups and micro-pittings on the silicone-coated fabric surface. The treated fabrics with oxygen low temperature plasma were measured by contact angle analyzer and XPS(X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), and interfacial adhesion was measured by T-peel test. The surface of fabric was investigated by SEM photographs. The chemical and physical modification of the surface wettabillity by plasma treatment can increase the adhesion.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 styrene-butadiene-styrene(SBS) 블록공중합체와 폐타이어 고무분말(crumb rubber, CR)로 개질한 아스팔트의 저온접착특성에 대해 파라핀오일 가소제의 영향에 대한 것이다. SBS/CR로 개질한 아스팔트 블렌드와 파라핀오일/SBS/CR 아스팔트 블렌드의 온도 민감성을 침입도와 연화점으로 측정하였다. 형광현미경으로 파라핀오일/SBS/CR 아스팔트 블렌드에 대한 개질제들의 분산 상태와 만능시험기로 저온에서 접착성질을 각각 측정하였다. 저온접착시험에서 SBS 함량의 증가와 파라핀오일 함량 5 wt % 및 10 wt %에서 접착강도와 변형률이 증가하였다. $-20^{\circ}C$에서 측정한 접착강도와 강인성은 파라핀오일이 10 wt %와 SBS 공중합체의 양이 6 wt %인 조성에서 최대값을 얻었다. SBS/CR/아스팔트 블렌드에서 파라핀오일의 첨가는 유연성을 부여하는 효과를 나타내고, 저온에서 강인성의 증가를 가져오는 것을 확인하였다.

  • A novel carboxyl terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile (CTBN) modified, low temperature cure epoxy film adhesive was developed in this paper. It can be cured at as low as $75^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours with a pressure of 0.1MPa. After post cure at $120^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours, the bonding strengths of Phosphoric Acid Anodizing(PAA) surface treated aluminum adherend were similar to those of structural film adhesives curing at $120^{\circ}C$. It is suitable to bond both metal/composite laminate-to-laminate and laminate to honeycomb structure.

  • 폐타이어 고무분말은 도로 유지 및 보수제로 아스팔트 바인더의 개질제로 사용되고 있다. 도로보수제인 폐타이어 고무분말 개질 아스팔트 (crumb rubber modified asphalt, CRMA) 실란트에 필요한 접착특성은 저온에서 아스팔트 바인더의 취성과 접착파괴특성 때문에 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 저온에서 CRMAs의 개질제로서 유연제의 영향을 조사하였다. 저온에서 CRMAs의 특성은 침입도, 연화점, 인장 및 인장접착시험을 통하여 측정하였다. 유연제를 도입한 CRMAs에서 CR과 아스팔트바인더의 연성변형이 증가함에 따라 인장접착강도와 변형률이 증가하였다. 저온영역에서 CRMAs의 인장특성과 접착특성은 유연제의 함량이 중요한 요소임을 발견하였다.

  • 본 연구는 폐타이어 고무분말 개질 아스팔트(crumb rubber modified asphalt, CRMA) 공정조건에서 반응온도, 혼합반응시간 및 유연성 개질제의 영향을 조사하였다. 저온에서 아스팔트바인더와 개질 아스팔트의 온도 민감성과 접착특성은 침입도와 인장접착강도를 통하여 측정하였다. 유연제와 공정온도가 인장접착강도와 강인화 에너지의 중요한 요소임을 확인하였다. 더 높은 혼합온도와 연성 개질제에서 CRMA의 인장접착물성이 향상되는 것은 아스팔트바인더와 개질 아스팔트의 연성구조에 기인한다. CRMA의 물리적 특성의 개선은 CR과 아스팔트바인더간의 상용성에 있다. 유연제가 CR과 아스팔트바인더 안에 침투되어, 유연제에 의해 개질된 CRMA는 CRMA보다 접착특성이 증가하였음을 확인하였다.

  • para-Aramid fibers were treated by low-temperature plasma to improve the adhesion. The surface of para-aramid fibers were treated with gaseous plasma of several discharge power and treatment time in oxygen gas at 1Torr pressure. The treated fibers at low-temperature plasma were taken oxygen-containing functional groups and micro-crator on the surface. The modified fibers were measured by dynamic contact angle analyzer and XPS(X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy). The Interfacial adhesion properties of aramid fabric and polyurethane resin were determined by T-peel test. The surface of aramid fibers were observed by FE-SEM photographs. It was found that surface modification and chemical component ratio of the aramid fibers were improved wettability and adhesion characterization.

Adhesion Properties of Urea-Melamine-Formaldehyde (UMF) Resin with Different Molar Ratios in Bonding High and Low Moisture Content Veneers

  • The objective of this research was executed to investigate the effect of molar ratio of formaldehyde to urea and melamine (F/(U+M)) of urea-melamine-formaldehyde (UMF) resin on bonding high and low moisture content veneers. For that purpose, UMF resin types with 5 different F/(U+M) molar ratios (1.45, 1.65, 1.85, 2.05, and 2.25) synthesized were used in present study. First, their curing behavior was evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry. Second, their adhesion performance in bonding high and low moisture content veneers was evaluated by probe tack and dry and wet shear strength tests. Curing temperature and reaction enthalpy decreased with the increase of F/(U+M) molar ratio. And the dry and wet shear strengthsof plywood manufactured from low moisture content veneers were higher than thoseof plywood manufactured from high moisture content veneers. Also, the maximum initial tack force on the low moisture content veneer was higher than that on the high moisture content veneer.

  • 신발 중창용 EVA 발포체의 수용성 폴리우레탄계 접착제에 대한 접착력을 증가시키기 위하여 발포체 표면을 저온 플라즈마 처리하였다. 플라즈마 처리기체 종류, 플라즈마 처리시간, 전극과 시료와의 거리등의 조건에 따른 발포체의 표면형태, 접촉각 및 수성폴리우레탄에 대한 접착력 등을 주사전자현미경, 접촉각 측정기, 인장강도시험기 등을 사용하여 측정하였다. 플라즈마 처리시간이 증가함에 따라 플라즈마 에칭에 의한 표면 형태의 변화가 더욱 뚜렷하게 나타났으며, 물로 측정한 발포체의 표면 접촉각은 현저히 감소하였다. 플라즈마 처리시간이 증가함에 따라 접착력은 현저히 증가하였다.

Characteristics of Non-plasticizer PVAc Resin for Wood Products

  • The applicable scope of adhesives in the current society is broad and currently, several types of PVAc resin are sold in the market for adhesives. PVAc resin is primarily used for wood works and paper adhesion. However, the PVAc resin itself has the disadvantages that its viscosity is highly temperature- dependent and the work condition and viscosity get worse at the low temperature in the winter seasons. Although phthalate-based plasticizer is used to complement these disadvantages, adhesion strength and heat-resistance are weakened by adding the phthalate-based plasticizer and in the winter period, the amount of quantity should be increased. Also in a high-density product, it worsens the work condition by causing a rise of viscosity and delays curing and in a low-density product, it worsens the storage stability by causing separate precipitation. In addition to these, the phthalate-based plasticizer as a material of causing environmental hormones is currently restricted in the advanced countries for its amount of use and also in the domestic market, it is necessary to prepare for the situation. This study has not only eliminated the disadvantages of PVAc resin emulsion without adding a phthalate-based plasticizer of causing these problems, but also synthesized the PVAc resin for timber adhesion that is excellent in woodwork, thermal-resistance, water-resistance, storage stability, and adhesion performance. As the result, it has proven an excellent performance in thermal resistance, water resistance, storage stability, and minimum film forming temperature.
