This paper presents a novel survivor memeory management and decoding techniques with sequential backward state transition control in the trace back Viterbi decoder. The Viterbi algorithm is an maximum likelihood decoding scheme to estimate the likelihood of encoder state for channel error detection and correction. This scheme is applied to a broad range of digital communication such as intersymbol interference removing and channel equalization. In order to achieve the area-efficiency VLSI chip design with high throughput in the Viterbi decoder in which recursive operation is implied, more research is required to obtain a simple systematic parallel ACS architecture and surviver memory management. As a method of solution to the problem, this paper addresses a progressive decoding algorithm with sequential backward state transition control in the trace back Viterbi decoder. Compared to the conventional trace back decoding techniques, the required total memory can be greatly reduced in the proposed method. Furthermore, the proposed method can be implemented with a simple pipelined structure with systolic array type architecture. The implementation of the peripheral logic circuit for the control of memory access is not required, and memory access bandwidth can be reduced Therefore, the proposed method has characteristics of high area-efficiency and low power consumption with high throughput. Finally, the examples of decoding results for the received data with channel noise and application result are provided to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed method.
Electric double layer capacitors (EDLC: electric double layer capacitors) have drew attention as an energy storage device for the next generation because of their outstanding power capability and durability. But their usage is somewhat limited due to low energy density over secondary batteries. One of methods to improve the energy of EDLC is expanding the voltage window of cell operation by increasing the charge cut-off voltage. In this study, $SBP-BF_4$ (spirobipyrrolidinium tetrafluoroborate), $TEA-BF_4$ (tetraethylammonium tetraflouroborate) and $EMI-BF_4$ (1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate) in AN (acetonitrile) were selected to evaluate the possibility of application at high voltage environment. The LSV (linear sweep voltammetry) measurements showed that the 1.5M SBP-BF4/AN electrolyte was stable over a wide potential window and showed the best electrochemical performance compared to other combinations of electrolytes at high voltage environments (over 3.0 V). Furthermore, TMSP (tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite) was applied to 1.5M SBP-BF4/AN in order to maintain stable performance at high voltage for the long period of time. The electrolyte with TMSP additive showed the capacity retention of 93% after 10,000 cycles at 3.3 V.
[here are so many reports that pulsatile blood flow provides physiologic organ perfusions during cardiopulmonary bypass. So, we compared the recent 30 cases undergoing cardiac surgery by Cobe-Stckert pulsatile roller pump with another 30 cases by Polystan nonpulsatile roller pump. Pulsatile flow was applied during aortic-cross clamping period when synchronized to internal EKG simulator, and perfusion mode was changed to continuous nonpulsatile flow after declamping of aorta. Age, sex, weight, and disease entities were comparable and operative techniques were similar between two groups. 1. There were no differences in average ACC time, ECC time, and Operation time. 2. Postoperative artificial respiration time was 6hrs 30mins in nonpulsatile group and 4hrs 48mins in pulsatile group, and detubation time after ventilator weaning was 2hrs 44mins in nonpulsatile group and 1hrs 43mins in pulsatile group. 3. Average pulse pressure was 8mmHg in nonpulsatile group and 55mmHg in pulsatile group, and a mean arterial pressure was 66.0mmHg in nonpulsatile group and 60.7mmHg in pulsatile group. 4. Mean urine-output during ACC;ECC period was 9.717.3;9.913.2ml/kg/hr in nonpulsatile group and 14.215.0;15.817.5 in pulsatile group [p<0, 05], and thereafter progressive decrease of differences in urine output between two groups until POD 2, and lesser amounts of diuretics was needed in pulsatile group during same postoperative period. Serum BUN/Cr level showed no specific difference and urine concentration power was well preserved in both groups. 5. Plasma proteins and other Enzymes showed no differences between two groups, but serum GOT/GPT level was higher in nonpulsatile group till POD 2. 6. Serum Electrolytes showed no differences between two groups. 7. WBC, RBC, Platelet counts, Hgb and Hct were not different and Coagulogram was well preserved in both groups. 8. Plasma free Hgb level was 7.09mg% in pulsatile group compared with 3.48mg% in pulsatile group on POD 1 but was normalized on POD 2. Gross hemoglobinuria after ECC was noted in 6 cases [20%] of pulsatile group and 4 cases [13%] of nonpulsatile group. 9. In both groups, most patients were included in NYHA class III to IV [28 cases;93% in nonpulsatile group, 22 cases;73% in pulsatile group] preoperatively, and well improved to class I to 11[22 cases; 73% in nonpulsatile group, 30 cases; 100% in pulsatile group] postoperatively. There were 7 operative mortalities in nonpulsatile group only, which were 5 cases of TOF with hepatic failure, 1 case of multiple VSDs with low out-put syndrome, and 1 case of mitral valvular heart disease with cardiomyopathy. We concluded that the new, commercially available Cobe-Stckert pulsatile roller pump device was safe, simple, and reliable.

The IoT environment provides an infinite variety of services using many different devices and networks. The development of the IoT environment is directly proportional to the level of security that can be provided. In some ways, lightweight cryptography is suitable for IoT environments, because it provides security, higher throughput, low power consumption and compactness. However, it has the limitation that it must form a new cryptosystem and be used within a limited resource range. Therefore, it is not the best solution for the IoT environment that requires diversification. Therefore, in order to overcome these disadvantages, this paper proposes a method suitable for the IoT environment, while using the existing block cipher algorithm, viz. the lightweight cipher algorithm, and keeping the existing system (viz. the sensing part and the server) almost unchanged. The proposed BCL architecture can perform encryption for various sensor devices in existing wire/wireless USNs (using) lightweight encryption. The proposed BCL architecture includes a pre/post-processing part in the existing block cipher algorithm, which allows various scattered devices to operate in a daisy chain network environment. This characteristic is optimal for the information security of distributed sensor systems and does not affect the neighboring network environment, even if hacking and cracking occur. Therefore, the BCL architecture proposed in the IoT environment can provide an optimal solution for the diversified IoT environment, because the existing block cryptographic algorithm, viz. the lightweight cryptographic algorithm, can be used.

A new proposed repository has a final capacity of 800,000 drums radioactive waste. Most of foreign repositories have a general practice of segregating control zones which mainly contributes to classification of degree of control, whether it is called buffer zone or not. Domestic regulatory requirements of establishment of buffer zone in a repository are not much different from those of nuclear power plants for operation period, in which satisfactory design objective or performance objective is the most important factor in determination of the buffer zone. The meaning of buffer zone after closure is a minimum requested area which can prevent inadvertant intruders from leading to non-allowable exposure during institutional control period. Safety assessment with drinking well scenario giving rise to the highest probability of exposure among the intruder's actions can verify fulfillment of the buffer zone which is determined by operational safety of the repository. At present. for the repository to be constructed in a few years, the same procedure and concept as described in this paper are applied that can satisfy regulatory requirements and radiological safety as well. However, the capacity of the repository will be stepwise extended upto 800,000 drums, consequently its layout will be varied too. Timely considerations will be necessary for current boundary of the buffer zone which has been established on the basis of 100,000 drums disposal.
Bioaugmentation of bioreactors focuses on the removal of numerous organics, with little attention typically paid to the maintenance of high and stable nitrite accumulation in partial nitrification. In this study, a bioaugmented membrane bioreactor (MBR) inoculated with enriched ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) was developed, and the effects of dissolved oxygen (DO) and temperature on the stability of partial nitrification and microbial community structure, in particular on the nitrifying community, were evaluated. The results showed that DO and temperature played the most important roles in the stability of partial nitrification in the bioaugmented MBR. The optimal operation conditions were found at 2-3 mgDO/l and $30^{\circ}C$, achieving 95% ammonia oxidization efficiency and nitrite ratio ($NO_2^-/{NO_x}^-$) of 0.95. High DO (5-6 mg/l) and low temperature ($20^{\circ}C$) had negative impacts on nitrite accumulation, leading to nitrite ratio drop to 0.6. However, the nitrite ratio achieved in the bioaugmented MBR was higher than that in most previous literatures. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were used to provide an insight into the microbial community. It showed that Nitrosomonas-like species as the only detected AOB remained predominant in the bioaugmented MBR all the time, and coexisted with numerous heterotrophic bacteria. The heterotrophic bacteria responsible for mineralizing soluble microbial products (SMP) produced by nitrifiers belonged to the Cytophaga-Flavobacterium-Bacteroides (CFB) group, and $\alpha$-, $\beta$-, and $\gamma$- Proteobacteria. The fraction of AOB ranging from 77% to 54% was much higher than that of nitrite-oxidizing bacteria (0.4-0.9%), which might be the primary cause for the high and stable nitrite accumulation in the bioaugmented MBR.

Source term analysis should be carried out to prepare the decommissioning of the nuclear power plant. In the planning phase of decommissioning, the classification of decommissioning wastes and the cost evaluation are performed based on the results of source term analysis. In this study, the verification of MCNP/ORIGEN-2 model is carried out for preliminary source term calculation for Wolsung Unit 1. The inventories of actinide nuclides and fission products in fuel bundles with different burn-up were obtained by the depletion calculation of MCNPX code modelling the single channel. Two factors affecting the accuracy of source terms were investigated. First, the neutron spectrum effect on neutron induced activation calculation was reflected in one-group microscopic cross-sections of relevant radio-isotopes using the results of MCNP simulation, and the activation source terms calculated by ORIGEN-2 using the neutron spectrum corrected library were compared with the results of the original ORIGEN-2 library (CANDUNAU.LIB) in ORIGEN-2 code package. Second, operation history effect on activation calculation was also investigated. The source terms on both pressure tubes and calandria tubes replaced in 2010 and calandria tank were evaluated using MCNP/ORIGEN-2 with the neutron spectrum corrected library if the decommissioning wastes can be classified as a low level waste.

This study evaluated CO2 removal efficiency, monitoring data analysis / evaluation efficiency and energy reduction efficiency in the liquor factory by L-alanine applied scrubber. The average removal rate of the scrubber was 90.45%, and it was confirmed that the removal efficiency was excellent above 10,000ppm of inlet CO2 concentration. After the scrubber operation, the CO2 concentration in the workplace was maintained under 2,000ppm(the carbon dioxide reduction efficiency was about 74%). and the energy saving efficiency was calculated to 7.26% by reducing the power consumption. As a result of applying the developed product, it was possible to improve the working environment of workers by reducing the carbon dioxide concentration in the workplace at low concentration without ventilation, and to reduce the energy consumption. Therefore, it is expected that the scrubber will be useful as a high CO2 removal process in food and liquor factories.

Meteor Burst Communication can provide effective and economical means of communication where long distance VHF NLOS data transmission is needed; often ranges more than 1000 km. It has been, however, so far considered unsuitable for short distance application because of phenomenal decrease in burst durations, which leads to decreation of total duty rate of the system. This paper extensively analyzes characteristics of shot distance MB(Meteor Burst) path and shows the low duty rate may be improved by increasing burst rate through adapting antenna beam width to cover entire hot-spot region in the space and, by compensating effective burst length through cutting down man-made noises introduced by antenna. Based on the analysis, we are developed a small-opening-cavity antenna, especially designed for short distance MB path. In operation, the antenna is to be buried under ground surface so as to improve directivity and reduces noise introduction. The antenna exhibits power gain of 3 dB with 90 degree beam width and thus enables to illuminate entire hot-spot regions with the elevation angle of 8-90 degree which is the case of transmission less than 100 km. Directivity horizontal to earth surface is suppressed to minimum which enables to cut man-made noises from near-by sources down to more than 3 dB from the level reported with conventional 4 element Yagi. A series of experiments performed on 100 km MB paths have conformed that, with the antenna installed at receiving site, the burst rate and duration time have been noticed to increase by 10 and 20 percent respectively from the values obtained by conventional 4-element Yagi antenna under same testing condition.

Reductions of the electricity charge are achieved by demand management of the load. The demand management method of the load using ESS involves peak shifting, which shifts from a high demand time to low demand time. By shifting the load, the peak load can be lowered and the energy charge can be saved. Electricity charges consist of the energy charge and the basic charge per contracted capacity. The energy charge and peak load are minimized by Linear Programming (LP) and Quadratic Programming (QP), respectively. On the other hand, each optimization method has its advantages and disadvantages. First, the LP cannot separate the efficiency of the ESS. To solve these problems, the charge and discharge efficiency of the ESS was separated by Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP). Nevertheless, both methods have the disadvantages that they must assume the reduction ratio of peak load. Therefore, QP was used to solve this problem. The next step was to optimize the formula combination of QP and LP to minimize the electricity charge. On the other hand, these two methods have disadvantages in that the charge and discharge efficiency of the ESS cannot be separated. This paper proposes an optimization method according to the situation by analyzing quantitatively the advantages and disadvantages of each optimization method.
