This study was performed to determine the subacute toxicities of SKI306X, an antiinflammatory herbal extract, in rats. SKI306X was administered orally to rats once a day for 4 weeks at doses of 0.3, 1.0, and 3.0 g/kg/ day. Each group consisted of 20 male and 20 female rats, including 5 male and 5 female rats per group for an interim study at the end of 2-week administration and for a 2-week recovery study, respectively. Throughout the study, all rats survived and no adverse clinical signs were observed. Although male rats treated with high dose (3.0 g/kg/day) of SKI306X showed slight loss of body weight (approximately 5%) in comparison with control animals during the administration period, their body weight loss was normally restored during the recovery period. No significant change was found in all hematological parameters of SKI306X-treated groups except for the decreased number of red blood cells in all female groups at the interim study. Statistically significant changes were observed in several blood enzyme levels of SKI306X-treated groups; however, most of these significant changes were within normal range and statistically significant values did not show dose-related responses. In SKI306X-treated groups, the absolute and relative weights of liver, heart, and stomach were statistically different from those of control group, but these differences disappeared at the end of recovery period and also drug-related gross and histopathological findings in these organs were not found. No other drug-related gross and histopathological findings were observed. It is concluded from the results of this study that non-toxic dose of SKI306X was estimated to be between 0.3 and 1.0 g/kg/day and the maximum tolerated dose of SKI306X was assumed to be higher than 3.0 g/kg/day.
Purpose: To compare perioperative outcomes and oncologic outcomes in endometrial cancer patients treated with laparotomy, and laparoscopic or robotic surgery. Materials and Methods: Endometrial cancer patients who underwent primary surgery from January 2011 to December 2014 were retrospectively reviewed. Perioperative outcomes, including estimated blood loss (EBL), operation time, number of lymph nodes retrieved, and intra and postoperative complications, were reviewed. Recovery time, disease free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were compared. Results: Of the total of 218 patients, 143 underwent laparotomy, 47 laparoscopy, and 28 robotic surgery. The laparotomy group had the highest EBL (300, 200, 200 ml, p<0.05) while the robotic group had the longest operative time (302 min) as compared with laparoscopy (180 min) and laparotomy (125 min) (p<0.05). Intra and postoperative complications were not different with any of the surgical approaches. No significant difference in number of lymph nodes retrieved was identified. The longest hospital stay was reported in the laparotomy group (four days) but there was no difference between the laparoscopy (three days) and robotic (three days) groups. Recovery was significantly faster in robotic group than laparotomy group (14 and 28 days, p =0.003). No significant difference in DFS and OS at 21 months of median follow up time was observed among the three groups. Conclusions: Minimally invasive surgery has more favorable outcomes, including lower blood loss, shorter hospital stay, and faster recovery time than laparotomy. It also has equivalent perioperative complications and short term oncologic outcomes. MIS is feasible as an alternative option to surgery of endometrial cancer.

This paper proposes a flyback diode of bridgeless PFC converter as SiC SBD (Schottky Barrier Diode) to achieve high efficiency. In addition, through the explanation of the operation principle of the bridgeless PFC converter, the conduction section of the freewheel diode is shown in the bridgeless PFC converter to verify the contribution of system loss due to the loss of the freewheel diode. The advantages of the SiC SBD device's physical properties and the reverse recovery characteristics are explained, and the efficiency is measured by measuring the turn-on and turn-off losses. The loss was calculated. The simulation results were calculated in consideration of device characteristics and verified through the waveform analysis and comparison of the actual system. In order to consider the device characteristics, the simulation was conducted using the thermal module of PSIM. As a result of the prototype test, the turn-on loss was 0.608W and the turn-off loss was 21.62W, resulting in the total switching loss of 22.228W. The comparison of the two results proved the validity of the experimental method. In addition, a high efficiency of 94.58% is achieved.
When women are removed with their matrix which is a emotionally significant organ of symbol in psychologically adapting themselves to mother and woman, that is threatened and injured with woman role decisively. This study tried to find the efficient nursing intervention method to maintain and promote their health, to cope with health problem, and to inquire into the loss experience of women with hysterectomy by using the phenomenological method. The analysis of the data was made through the phenomenological analytic method suggested by Giorgi. The result of the study was as follows : The factors which have influence on the loss experience of the subjects are an offer of information, support system, age, occupation, economic situation, family history, character, season, the existence of ovary and religion. The loss experience of matrix was expressed in lingual, reactions to the loss of function, sex, body change and husband, in behavioral behaviors in emotion and body. The loss of matrix of the subjects was relived by religion. perineorrhapy, exercise, reading, watching video and diet. The subjects each showed ways of reaction of fatalism, giving-up, coping on the loss experience of matrix. In conclusion, since we ascertained that the nursing in the process of recovery decide the quality of life. though women with hysterectomy undergo various loss experience and adapt to it in the end, it is necessary to give them enough information and educate husband, having on important effect on the loss experience, to be a good supporter, And technically skilled nurses of consultant are thought to be able to contrive better qualitative life of women with hysterectomy as an important bridge between the subjects and their required information, since the nurses have their well-formed position of relationship of confidence through continuous contact with patients and their family.

Recently, damage to waterside structures, such as bridges or retaining walls, is increasing due to typhoons, flooding, aging, etc. In such cases, the damage is not limited to the structures themselves, but can include effects on a wider scale, such as the suspension of and restriction of access to the facilities, human injury, economic loss, etc. To preclude such damage, recovery methods suitable for the particular field circumstances should be applied when damage occurs. By enforcing prompt repairs, the material and human damage and losses that can occur can be minimized. Since the impact of losses caused by damage and disaster increases with the elapse of time, emergency recovery is even more important. In the emergency recovery process, appropriate repair and reinforcement is crucial. In the present study, the derivation scenarios of the emergency recovery method were applied to some field recovery cases, and their applicability was verified by comparison with the recovery methods actually used. It is expected that the results of this study will be useful for practical application, by suggesting more appropriate recovery methods.
This study was to determine the effect of exercise on the recovery of dopaminergic neuron loss and muscle atrophy in 6-OHDA-induced hemi Parkinson's disease model. Exercise was loaded twice per day for 30 minutes each time, at 5 days after 6-OHDA lesioning and continued for 16 days using a treadmill. Exercise significantly increased the number of tyrosine hydroxylase positive neuron in the lesioned substantia nigra and the expression level of tyrosine hydroxylase in the striatum compared with the control group. To examine which signaling pathways may be involved in the exercise, the phosphorylation of $GSK3{\beta}$ and ERK were observed in the striatum. In the control group, basal level of $GSK3{\beta}$ phosphorylation was less than in both striatum, but exercise increased it. ERK phosphorylation decreased in the lesioned striatum, but exercise recovered it. These findings suggest that exercise inactivates $GSK3{\beta}$ by phosphorylation which may be involved in the neuroprotective effect of exercise on the 6-OHDA-induced cell death. In the exercise group, weight, and Type I and II fiber cross-sectional area of the contralateral soleus significantly recovered and expression of myosin heavy chain and Akt and ERK phosphorylation significantly increased by exercise. These results suggest that exercise recovers Parkinson's disease induced dopaminergic neuron loss and contralateral soleus muscle atrophy.

All-optical fiber-type $2{\times}32$ splitters for an Ethernet PON (passive optical network) were fabricated by using a FBT (fiber biconical tapered) process and the performance of the splitters was tested in upstream transmission of the EPON system. The $2{\times}32$ splitters was obtained by cascading $1{\times}4$ splitters fabricated by a conventional FBT process and showed -18 dB of insertion loss with 1.5 dB uniformity of output power at each channel and -0.1 dB of polarization dependent loss. The insertion loss variation was below 0.1 dB at the temperature range of $-40^{\circ}C\;to\;80^{\circ}C$. For upstream channel transmission test in the EPON system were a Zig board and a burst mode receiver. Zenko-made optical module was used for the burst mode receiver by adding functions of serializer/deserializer and clock data recovery, a Virtex II pro20 chipset and Vitesse VSC7123 were used in the Zig board for characterizing the burst mode and in the clock data recovery chipset, respectively. Startup acquisition lock time and data acquisition lock time were measured to be 670ns and 400ns, respectively, in the upstream channel transmission of the EPON system adapting the $2{\times}32$ splitter fabricated in this work.
The degradation of image quality by block loss is more serious in fractal coded images with the error propagation due to mapping from the lost blocks than in DCT coded images. Therefore. a new algorithm is presented for recovering the blocks lost in the transmission through the lossy network as A TM network of the images coded by Jacquins fractal coding. Jacquins fractal code is divided into two layers of header code and main code according to its importance. The key technique of the proposed BLRA (block loss recovery algorithm) is a fractal extrapolation that estimates the lost pixels by using the contractive mapping parameters of the neighboring range blocks whose characteristics are similar to a lost block. The proposed BLRA is applied to the lost blocks in the iteration of decoding. Some experimental results show the proposed BLRA yields excellent performance in PSNR as well as subjective quality.

The author studied the histopathologic changes according to a single or a split dose and the time after irradiation on the acinar cells of rat parotid gland. 99 Sprague Dawley rats, weighing about l20gm, were divided into control and 3 experimental groups. In experimental groups, GroupⅠ and Ⅱ were delivered a single dose of l5Gy, 18Gy and Group Ⅲ and Ⅳ were delivered two equal split doses of 9Gy, 10.5Gy for a 4 hours interval, respectively. The experimental groups were delivered by a cobalt-60 teletherapy unit with a dose rate of 222cGy/min, source-skin distance of 50㎝, depth of l㎝ and a field size of l2×5㎝. The animals were sacrificed at 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 hours, 1, 3, 7 days after irradiation and examined by light and electron microscopy. The results were as follows: 1. As the radiation dose increased and the acinar cells delivered a single dose exposure were more damaged, and the change of acinar cells appeared faster than those of a split dose exposure. 2. The histopathologic change of acinar cells appeared at 1 hour after irradiation. The recovery from damaged acinar cells appeared at 1 day after irradiation and there was a tendency that the recovery from damage of a split dose exposure was somewhat later than that of a single dose exposure. 3. Light microscope showed atrophic change of acinar cells and nucleus, degeneration and vesicle formation of cytoplasm, widening of intercellular space and interlobular space. 4. Electron microscope showed loss of nuclear membrane, degeneration of nucleus and nucleoli, clumping of cytoplasm, widening and degeneration of rough endoplasmic reticulum, loss of cristae of mitochondria, lysosome, autophagosome and lipid droplet. 5. Electron microscopically, the change of rough endoplasmic reticulum was the most prominent and this appeared at 1 hour after irradiation as early changes of acinar cells. The nuclear change appeared at 2 hours after irradiation and the loss of cristae of mitochondria was observed at 2 hours after irradiation in all experimental groups.

We propose a multilayered-substrate-based power semiconductor discrete device package for a low switching loss and high heat dissipation. To verify the proposed package, cost-effective, low-temperature co-fired ceramic, multilayered substrates are used. A bare die is attached to an embedded cavity of the multilayered substrate. Because the height of the pad on the top plane of the die and the signal line on the substrate are the same, the length of the bond wires can be shortened. A large number of thermal vias with a high thermal conductivity are embedded in the multilayered substrate to increase the heat dissipation rate of the package. The packaged silicon carbide Schottky barrier diode satisfies the reliability testing of a high-temperature storage life and temperature humidity bias. At $175^{\circ}C$, the forward current is 7 A at a forward voltage of 1.13 V, and the reverse leakage current is below 100 lA up to a reverse voltage of 980 V. The measured maximum reverse current ($I_{RM}$), reverse recovery time ($T_{rr}$), and reverse recovery charge ($Q_{rr}$) are 2.4 A, 16.6 ns, and 19.92 nC, respectively, at a reverse voltage of 300 V and di/dt equal to $300A/{\mu}s$.
