  • A loop structure optimization algorithm is proposed for generting a set of efficient codes for loop structure in order to optimize RISC compiler codes. Since there are so many loop structure in the program, most of the execution time is used to process looping codes. Thus, reduction of loop instructions is more effective than optimizing codes outside the loop. The proposed algorithm presents a method to combine several different loops into a simple loop. Therefore, rather than executing each loop independently, loops in the program are serached, analyzed, and finally created some relative informtion such as dependency and range. In doing so, the loops in the program can efficiently be recombined and restructured. As a result, the overall execution time for the program of the sequential programming language is reduced.

  • Generally, In a application program the core part for parallel processing is a loop. therefore in this paper, loop interchange parallel compiler is proposed. this is a procedure for the automatic conversion of a loop interchange. According to execution to the outside CDOALL statements of cedar fortran, loop interchange is more effectively method the extracting parallelism in order to parallel processing in iterations. This method will be expected to effectively execution result with mixed into linear conversion and go far toward solving the effectively implementation of the non-unimodular nested loop.

  • Distribution systems are operated in radial structure, but temporal loop structure could be founded the live load transfer. Main purposes of reconfiguration of distribution network are load balancing, loss minimization and voltage drop maintaining. In the loop structure, huge loop current can be flowed between two substations in case of large voltage angle difference. Protection devices of distribution line can be triped by this huge loop current. So, precise calculation of loop current is very important for secure switching. This paper proposes a novel calculation method of loop current using the voltage angle differences measured at the tie switches. Feasibility of the propose method has been verified by various case studies based on Matlab simulation.

  • When a cold HPSI (High Pressure Safety Injection) fluid associated with an design basis accident, such as LOCA (Loss of Coolant Accident), enters the cold legs of a stagnated primary coolant loop, thermal stratification phenomena will arise due to incomplete mixing. If the stratified flow enters a reactor pressure vessel downcomer, severe thermal stresses are created in a radiation embrittled vessel wall by local overcooling. Previous thermal-mixing analyses have assumed that the thermal stratification phenomena generated in stagnated loop of a partially stagnated coolant loop are neutralized in the vessel downcomer by strong flow from unstagnated loop. On the basis of these reasons, this paper presents the thermal-mixing analysis results in order to identify the fact that the cold plume generated in the vessel downcomer due to the thermal stratification phenomena of the stagnated loop is affected by the strong flow of the unstagnated loop.

  • Identification of systems operating in closed loop has long been of prime interest in industrial applications. The fundamental problem with closed-loop data is the correlation between the unmeasurable noise and the input. This is the reason why several methods that work in open loop fail when applied to closed-loop data. The prediction error based approaches to the closed-loop system are divided to direct method and indirect method. Both of direct and indirect methods are known to be applied to the closed-loop data without critical modification. But the direct method induces the bias error in the experimental frequency response function and this bias error may deteriorates the parameter estimation performance

  • A novel concept of feedback loop design for modal test and model updating is proposed. This method uses the closed -loop natural frequency information for parameter modification to overcome the problems associated with the conventional method employing the modal sensitivity matrix. To obtain new modal information from closed-loop system, controllers should be effective in changing modal data while guaranteeing the stability of closed-loop system. It is very hard to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system with non-collocated sensor and actuator set. Ill this research, we proposed a controller called mode-decoupling controller that can change a target mode as much as the designer wants guaranteeing the stability of closed-loop system. This controller can be computed just using measured open-loop modeshape matrix. A simulation based on time domain input/output data is performed to check the feasibility of proposed control method.

  • The vast mechanical systems could be classified as closed loop system, open loop system and open & closed (switching) system. In the closed loop system, the kinematics and dynamics of 3-D mechanisms will be reviewed and closed form solutions using the direction cosine matrix method and reflection transformation method will be introduced. In the open loop system, kinematic & dynamic analysis methods regarding the redundant system which has more degrees of freedom in joint space than those of task space are reviewed and discussed. Finally, switching system which changes its phase between closed and open loop motion is investigated with the principle of dynamical balance. Among switching systems, the human gait in biomechanics and humanoid in robotics are presented.

  • The Cartesian loop chip which is one of key devices in narrow-band Walky-Talky transmitter using RZ-SSB modulation method was designed and implemented with 0.35 Um CMOS technology. The reduced size and low cost of transmitter were available by the use of direct-conversion and Cartesian loop chip, which improved the power efficiency and linearity of transmitting path. In addition, low power operation was possible through CMOS technology. The performance test results of transmitter showed -23 dBc improvement of IMD level and -30 dEc below suppression of SSB characteristic in the operation of Cartesian loop chip (closed-loop). At that time, the transmitting power was about 37 dBm (5 W). The main parameters to improve the transmitting characteristic and to compensate the distortion in feed back loop such as DC-offset, loop gain and phase value are interfaced with notebook PC to be controlled with S/W.
