Study on Logistics Cost Accounting in University Libraries (대학도서관의 물류비 산정에 관한 연구)

  • This study introduces a new method for Logistics Cost Accounting in University Libraries. Logistics Cost is the cost that arises in the course of physical distribution and causes a serious in crease in the unit cost of a product. Therefore, Logistics Cost Accounting has been used in manufacturing industries to reduce the unit costs of products. There is a definite similarity between the operations of a business and a library. The operations of a business consist of purchasing, production, selling, which is similar to that of a library, where they are called acquisitions, cataloging, physical preparations and circulation. So Logistics Cost Accounting may be applied to a library. With this in mind, we made a model for Logistics Cost Accounting' in University Libraries. Therefore, it can be applied to many university libraries because it is a general model.

  • Logistics companies distinguish between medium-sized business and small business according to the size of enterprises. Of course, conglomerates are called global corporations. In this study, mid-sized companies over a certain size or more and those below are classified and decide the priorities among important factors to secure competitiveness in logistics companies are determined through AHP technique. Mid-sized companies are companies that can provide more than two logistics services. For example, they provide warehousing and transportation services in the same time. small companies are companies that can mostly provide one functional service. Warehousing, transportation, manpower, and information are listed as factors in this study. As a result of the study, medium-sized companies emphasized on the importance of transportation. When it comes to small companies, warehousing was emphasized as an important factor. Due to the simultaneous and contemporary service of warehousing and transportation in small-sized company, the reliable image of the company will be underestimated in case of delays in transportation. Competitiveness will also be weakened. Global corporations or conglomerates will start to consider relocating warehousing areas to others except for the central storage hub. They won't plan to invest directly, either. Therefore, it will be possible to secure competitiveness by providing the function of warehousing and to signed easily partnership.

Impact of Informational Justice on Pharmaceutical Enterprises

  • Purpose: This paper addresses issues that concern business-to-business marketing, namely informational justice in the supply chain or organizations. As previously reported by other studies, there is information asymmetry in organizations. The present study explores and addresses this in the medical industry, aiming to investigate how informational justice relates to information quality or logistics performance in the medical industry. This study also suggests a method for development of informational justice in medicine-related fields. Design, methodology, approach: The hypothesis and model were developed through a review of the literature. To this end, we surveyed 293 valid survey samples collected from occupational pharmacists and used structural equation modelling for analysis. Findings: The results of the empirical analysis of the hypotheses showed that symmetric sharing of information between pharmacists and employees of pharmaceutical companies has a positive effect on the perceived quality. Moreover, the results showed that quality information has a positive impact on logistics performance, whereas informational justice does not. Conclusions, implications: If information and explanations are exchanged fairly, information and logistics performance-as well as operational expenses-will be enhanced. Furthermore, our study has immense implications outside of academic applications since it suggests practical solutions to government and medical industry employees.

The Influence of the Logistics Quality on the Customer Satisfaction and the word-of-mouth intention in Chinese Internet Shopping Mall (중국 인터넷 쇼핑 몰의 물류품질이 고객만족과 구전의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzes the influence of the logistics quality of Chinese internet shopping mall on the customer satisfaction. This study also analyzes the influence of the customer satisfaction on the word-of-mouth intention. Then this study examines whether there is a difference among the influences of the logistics quality on the customer satisfaction depending on the types of shopping mall and the users' traits. As a result, when it comes to the logistics quality, carriage, after service and kindness influence customer satisfaction and the customer satisfaction influences word-of-mouth intention similarly. And this research reveals that the logistics quality can not differently influence on the customer satisfaction depending on the types of shopping mall and the users' gender and ages.

Critical Factors Affecting the Choice of Logistics Service Provider: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • The trend of globalization leads an increased need for international freight transportation and accelerates the development of the international logistics industry. The objective of this paper is to identify the critical factors that affect the choice of logistics service provider (LSP). The data sample was collected through a questionnaire, responded by 218 companies that outsource logistics services. The analysis uses descriptive statistics; exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and regression analysis were conducted with SPSS. The role of capabilities, customer service, and company reputation were evaluated and tested. Our findings show that capabilities and customer service have a considerable impact on the choice of LSP. The findings also indicate that company reputation do not have significant impact on the choice of LSP. They also showed that the capabilities is the variable that has the most significant effect on the choice of LSP. An implication of this study is that the competition should not only focus on pricing, but should be extended to improving enterprises capabilities, i.e., upgrading human resources, modernizing the modes of transportation, expanding business geographically and developing new technologies. Our study provides LSP managers with insights into how to meet customer expectations in the competitive logistics service sector.

A Study on the Effects of the Win-Win Supportive Collaboration on Safety Climate, Safety Prevention, and Safety Behavior: From the Safety Quality Perspective of Domestic Small and Medium-sized Logistics Companies (지원적 상생협력이 안전 분위기, 안전 예방 활동 및 안전행동에 미치는 영향: 중소 물류기업의 안전 품질 관점에서)

  • Purpose: This study aims to contribute to the research flow on the relationship between win-win supportive collaboration and safety, while noting that win-win supportive collaboration affects corporate safety-related factors such as climate, safety prevention, and behavior from the perspective of domestic small and medium-sized logistics companies that have signed contracts with large logistics companies, Methods: Based on responses from 147 small and medium-sized logistics companies, structural equation modeling is performed to examine the relationship among the factors such as supportive collaboration, safety climate, safety prevention, safety behavior. Results: Study results are as follows. Supportive collaboration of large logistics companies influence the formation of a safety climate and safety behavior within logistics SMEs positively. In addition, safety prevention and safety behavior are affected by safety climate in a positive way. Conclusion: Win-Win supportive collaboration is a driving force behind safety management practices in the supply chain leading to safety management performance, so it is necessary to consider it for the growth of the sustainable supply chain.

An Empirical Study on the Effect of Trust between Firms in the Supply Chain on Agility and Logistics Performance

  • Purpose: This study explores the effect on supply chain agility and logistics performance of building mutual trust between manufacturing companies that have adopted supply chain management. Previous studies have categorized trust into affective and cognitive types, and speed, flexibility, and responsiveness are recognized as subfactors of supply chain agility. Methodology: A survey gathered responses from employees of domestic manufacturing firms with supply chain management implementations. 254 valid responses underwent statistical analysis using structural equation modeling (SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0). Results: Affective trust positively influences speed and responsiveness but not flexibility. Cognitive trust positively affects speed, flexibility, and responsiveness. Supply chain agility positively impacts logistics performance. However, neither affective nor cognitive trust significantly influences logistics performance. Conclusions: The study suggests that cognitive trust based on capabilities is more important than affective trust for flexibility in corporate relationships, a subfactor of supply chain agility. However, trust alone cannot enhance corporate performance. This research is significant as it examines the roles of trust and agility in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has exacerbated the manufacturing business environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope a series of business models for promotion of value added logistics activities of lumber hinterland in Incheon Northport. A set of policies to create value added developed are an import market diversification model using Incheon Northport, a model by building integration processing center by pallet facility, a model by joint logistics center, an export-oriented Pre-cut material development model and an export processing value added model.

Implementation of a BPMS-based Virtual Enterprise in the Port Logistics Industry (BPMS 기반 항만물류 가상기업의 구현)

  • First we provide an overview of how virtual enterprise works, including the lifecycle of a virtual enterprise, expected benefits from a virtual enterprise, and various types of collaborative networks. Next we focus on a problem encountered in the port logistics industry and suggest that implementation of a virtual enterprise can be a good solution to the problem. Then we suggest a prototype of the virtual enterprise in the port logistics industry and a freight transportation process as a business process in the prototype. And then we introduce major functions of the business process management system (BPMS) which, in general, can be regarded as a tool to create the virtual enterprise. Finally by adopting a specific BPMS, we illustrate how to design and implement the freight transportation process in the prototype.

  • Mobile 유통은 전국에 약 3,000여개의 대리점과 7,000여개의 판매점등 10,000여개의 업체가 Mobile의 물류, 판매에 관여하고 있으며, 이동통신사업자의 매월 정책변경에 의해 가격구조의 변동이 발생하며, 타 제품군에 비해 상대적으로 변동폭이 넓어 물류 System의 정착이 이루어지지 못하고 있다. CRM측면에서도 이동통신사업자의 CRM Center에 의지하고 있으나, 고객 관리의 책임이 이동통신 대리점에 귀책되고 있어, 물류주체인 대리점과 판매점주가 사용할 수 있는 편의성이 뛰어나며 확장성이 있는 Logistics & CRM Management System의 필요성이 그간 꾸준히 제기되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 물류와 고객 CRM의 1차 주체인 대리점과 판매점의 Logistics & CRM 통합관리 System을 e-MLBM과 e-CRM을 이용하여 설계하며, e-MLBM & e-CRM의 경제성분석을 통하여 향후 국내 이동통신 대리점들의 발전방향에 대해 논한다.
