제품수송 컨터네이너의 적재를 위한 규칙기반시스템 (Rule-based System for Loading Multiple Items in Containers for Shipping)

  • 본 연구는 기업물류와 물류비 및 컨테이너 운송의 개념을 정리하고, 한국 기업의 물류 중 비중이 큰 수송의 효율성 제고를 중심으로 물류비 절감방안을 제안하고 있다. 한국 S사의 사례연구를 통해 다수 출발지와 다수의 도착지를 고려한 컨테이너 화물적재에 대한 문제점을 분석과 토론을 하고자 한다. 혼합적재를 위한 조건들과 컨테이너 적재결정을 위한 규칙기반 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 또한 화물운송 비용 최소화를 위해 적절한 규칙을 선택하여 적재를 결정 하는 알고리즘을 제시하고 있다. 데이터마이닝 및 OLAP 도구인 MS 분석 서비스를 이용하여 혼합적재를 위한 규칙들을 생성하고 OLAP 큐브 및 의사결정트리를 생성하여 규칙을 검증한다.

국내외 물류환경 변화에 따른 부산 신항의 항만물류상 문제점과 활성화 방안 (Challenges and Possible Ways to Facilitate Busan New Port Logistics)

  • 우리나라를 비롯한 세계의 모든 항만들이 해운환경의 급변속에서 생존하기 위한 개별전략을 모색하고 있으며, 특히 신항의 경우 개발 중에 있는 항만으로 6개의 선석을 운영하고 있는데도 불구하고 예상물동량에 미치지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이는 물동량 확보를 위한 신항만의 물류전략에 문제가 있음을 지적하지 않을 수 없다. 따라서 신항의 물류상의 활성화 방안으로 첫째, 기존항만과 신항이 연계성을 갖고 선사에게 제공되는 인센티브의 경우 동일한 요율을 적용하는 방안 둘째, 정부의 트럭화물운송에 대한 보조금을 늘리는 방안 셋째, 수출입화물을 운송할 수 있는 방안을 모색하여 자체물동량 창출 넷째, 신항에 상주해 있는 선사와의 접촉을 통해 북미-일본-한국-중국을 경유하는 화물뿐만 아니라 유럽, 중동, 러시아를 경유하는 화물에 대한 프로그램을 설정하여 일시적이 아닌 지속적인 환적화물 창출을 위한 마케팅전략 수립 다섯째, 대형 외국선사와 연계된 중소형 외국 선사와의 연계프로그램 네트워크운영 등을 들 수 있다.

The Effects of Electronic Commerce on the Freight Transport Industry

  • This paper investigates changing business transaction under the e-commerce environment and their implications on freight transport industry with some case studies. It shows that an efficient and reliable delivery system is essential for e-commerce as business industries are faced with the stricter and more diversified demands of customer. In addition, many aspects of business practices such as small batch, customized production and just-in-time distribution in the e-commerce environment, in turn, bring about a number of changes in the volume and service patterns of freight transport. E-commerce requires longer transport distances and often higher delivery frequencies. It also entails to a certain extent a modal shift towards truck and air freight transport modes. On the one hand, the logistical requirements of e-commerce goods may stimulate greater complexity in existing supply chain management, causing higher costs. However it is true that the increased visibility of goods through more efficient information flow allows more efficient and effective transport management in the logistics system.

  • 국내 물류창고는 기업에 있어 재고관리 및 상품배송을 위한 전략적인 요충지로써 발전해 왔다. 물류창고는 역할에 따라 보관형 물류창고와 택배와 같은 통과형 물류창고, 이를 복합한 물류창고가 존재한다. 현재 국내 물류창고의 입지를 고려할 때 임대료 또는 지가와 같은 가격적인 요소와 물류적 기능을 동시에 고려하고 있다. 가격적인 요소의 경우 평가요소가 명확하나 물류적 기능에 대한 구체적인 평가요소는 현재 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내의 보관형 물류창고 입지선택에 있어 물류적 기능을 고려한 입지요소들의 우선순위를 전문가 설문조사를 통해 추출하려 한다.

  • 우리는 이 세상을 네트워크사회라 한다. 로지스틱스는 사람과 물자와 정보를 연결하는 중요한 시스템의 하나다. 21세기 세계경제여건은 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이런 변화는 여타지역 보다 동북아시아에서 더 현저하다. 중국·북한 러시아는 경제, 사회시스템을 변화시켰으며, 이는 아시아와 유럽간의 교역과 물량수요의 확대시켰다. TSR, TCR, TMR, TMGR, TKR과 같이 유라시아 대륙을 횡단하는 철도시스템은 국제 운송의 효율을 향상시키고 국제철도로 대륙을 연결하는 데 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 한반도를 둘러싼 물류환경을 조사 분석하였다. TSR, TCR(TMR, TMGR), TKR과 같은 대륙횡단철도와 관련하여 고려되고 해결되어야 할 운영여건과 과제를 조사하였다. 특히 중국, 러시아 북한의 물류현황과 문제점들을 조사하였다. 그리고 이들 철도들의 SWOT분석을 실시하고 비교하였다. 이 대륙간 철도들이 여러나라를 효과적으로 연결하고 합리적으로 운영하는 것과 관련하여 비전과 목표들을 제시하였다. 마땅히 고려되어야 할 정책과 전략/전술뿐만 아니라 당연히 채태되고 도입되어야 한다고 판단되는 많은 세부 대안들이 제시 되었다.

Consideration on the Cost of Reusable and Expendable Shipping Container Systems: A Review

  • In order to reduce packaging and logistics costs for any business, it is important to identify opportunities for improvement throughout an entire logistics system including measurement of the performance and cost of packaging. Although the importance of packaging in a supply chain has been recognized by many scholars and experts, the total cost and value of packaging have not been successfully estimated. This paper reviews the recent researches and articles that tried to quantify the value of packaging focusing on the business decision between reusable and expendable shipping container systems. Three key factors such as cost, ownership, and standardization are identified and discussed in terms of impact on supply chain costs and performances. It is important to understand that the decision of a package system can change a logistics activities and even entire logistical system. Hence, the total cost and value of transport packaging should be calculated with understanding of interactions with logistical activities throughout supply chain. Identifying the opportunities and constraints of packaging changes on total logistics cost and activities must be carefully examined before implementation of a packaging system.

  • For the connection of trans-continental railway network, it is critical to conquer the break-of-gauge problem at the borders in different countries. Up to now, the best solution seems to be the employ of the auto-changable gauge equipment. Countries, such as Russia, Japan are developing and commercializing auto-changable gauge equipment to maximize transport efficiency for the trans-continental network. The efforts to search a suitable logistical service are also underway. In this paper, technology and development trend of this equipment in several countries is indicated through inspecting and analyzing the historical and current situation of development, operating mechanism and technical problems. As the basic technology of auto-changeable gauge is not well developed in our country, the purpose of this study is to search an approach to fix the research direction, and find practical ways to international cooperation.

  • 최근에 운송량의 양적인 증대와 운송수단의 고급화, 가속화 추구로 물류운송 부문의 종합서비스 체계가 요구되고 있다. 특히 물류운송과 같은 분야에서는 운송비가 경영비용의 제일 큰 비중을 차지하고 있기 때문에 보다 효율적인 물류운송이 요구된다. 따라서 빅데이터를 이용한 물류운송 최적 경로선정 시스템을 설계 구현하여, 운송 분야에 최적화된 물류운송 시스템을 제안한다.

재고와 수송계획문제를 고려한 통합물류시스템 설계 (A Design for Integrated Logistics System with Inventory Control and Transportation Planning Problem)

  • In many distribution systems important cost reductions and/or service improvements may be achieved by adopting an efficient inventory policy and proper selection of facilities. These efficiency improvements and service enhancements clearly require an integrated approach towards various logistical planning functions. The areas of inventory control and transportation planning need to be closely coordinated. The purpose of this paper is to construct an integrated model that can minimize the total cost of the transportation and inventory systems between multiple origin and destination points, where in origin point i has the supply of commodities and in destination point j requires the commodities. In this case, demands of the destination points are assumed random variables which have a known probability distribution. Using the lot-size reorder-point policy and the safety stock level that minimize total cost we find optimal distribution centers which transport the commodities to the destination points and suggest an optimal inventory policy to the selected distribution center. We also show if a demand greater than one unit will occur at a particular time, we describe the approximate optional replenishment policy from computational results of this lot-size reorder-point policy. This model is formulated as a 0-1 nonlinear integer programming problem. To solve the problem, this paper proposes heuristic computational procedures and a computer program with UNIX C language. In the usefulness review, we show the meaning and validity of the proposed model and exhibit the results of a comparison between our approach and the traditional approach, respectively.

한국내 물류서비스에 드론 활용을 위한 연구 (Study on Utilization Drones in Domestic Logistics Service in Korea)

  • Purpose - In the year of 2015 and 2016, one of the items that got attention in CES was a drone. It has been 100 years since a drone emerged, but most were used for military purposes. As its use became diverse as of 2010, it got attention of the general public. In Korea, it was in 2011 that a drone was known to the public through an aerial video shooting for television program. This study tried to come up with suggestions by comparing domestic with overseas cases, and tried to consider the related technologies and systems with applying the role of drones in logistics service. Research design, data, and methodology - The overseas cases were regarded as drone's logistical purpose. The Prime Air service by US Amazon is still not commercialized and under pre-testing due to Federal Aviation Regulations, although it started in 2013. In Germany, DHL succeeded in delivering service testing which is called Parcelcopter, but it is not commercialized yet. Other than these, there are more attempts to prepare logistics service in China with Taobao, in France with Geopost's test, and in Africa. In Korea, CJ Korea Express tested delivery with a self-developed drone Results - In order to study for utilizing drones for logistics as the prerequisites, some overseas and domestic cases, which are currently considered, were reviewed. Also, the technologies and institutional requirements to commercialize drones for logistical purpose were reviewed. The reasons for using drones in logistics is to ensure the price competitiveness by reducing cost. The empirical test also will be needed because drone pilot areas are designated by ministry of land, infrastructure and transport. Conclusions - In order to utilize drones in logistics and foster the industry, this study would like to suggest the followings. First of all, size of drones for logistics needs to be fixed and their operating system should be standardized. Centralized investment resources are needed through standardization to ensure the market occupancy. Secondly, it is necessary to get the converged businesses that do research, develop and commercialize drones with the investment of private sector. Example can be found in Korea aerospace Industries. We can respond to the rapid growth of the market with intensive investing by integrating the private sector investment. Thirdly, institutional arrangements are needed to be established quickly. In the case of high-technologies like drones, institutional support often does not follow the rapid development of the technology. The problems can be found in securing drones-only airspace, creating drone-specialized pilot's license, matters related to remote controller and complementary regulations for drones in Aviation Act. If these regulations are not prepared or complemented at the right timing, technologies cannot be commercialized even though the development is completed. Fourthly, there is a need to secure the transparency regarding possible privacy and personal information protection problem while operating drones. Finally, in order to foster this new industry, government should focus on supporting R&D more in the long term than short term outcomes.
