Previous research on data extraction and integration for data warehousing has concentrated mainly on the relational DBMS or partly on the object-oriented DBMS. Mostly, it describes issues related with the change data (deltas) capture and the incremental update by using the triggering technique of active database systems. But, little attention has been paid to data extraction approaches from other types of source systems like hierarchical DBMS, etc. and from source systems without triggering capability. This paper argues, from the practical point of view, that we need to consider not only the types of information sources and capabilities of ETT tools but also other factors of source systems such as operational characteristics (i.e., whether they support DBMS log, user log or no log, timestamp), and DBMS characteristics (i.e., whether they have the triggering capability or not, etc), in order to find out appropriate data extraction techniques that could be applied to different source systems. Having applied several different data extraction techniques (e.g., DBMS log, user log, triggering, timestamp-based extraction, file comparison) to S bank's source systems (e.g., IMS, DB2, ORACLE, and SAM file), we discovered that data extraction techniques available in a commercial ETT tool do not completely support data extraction from the DBMS log of IMS system. For such IMS systems, a new date extraction technique is proposed which first creates Index database and then updates the data warehouse using the Index database. We illustrates this technique using an example application.
The extraction efficiency of orange-yellow pigment from the Gardenia was greatly depended upon the extraction time, extraction temperature, volume of solvent used and fat contents of the Gardenia. From the experimental results, the amounts of extracted pigment (P) was proportional to the $log\;t^{\;1{\cdot}15}$ of extraction time$(t;\;0{\sim}60\;min.)$, the $log\;T^{3{\cdot}73}$ of extraction temperature$(T;\;5{\sim}60^{\circ}C)$, the $log\;S^{3{\cdot}7}$ of volume of solvent$(S;\;5{\sim}50\;ml)$, and the -4X of fat contexts of sample $(X;\;0{\sim}0.\;15)$ at $18^{\circ}C$ for 10 minutes. Finally, the modified empirical equation was derived as follow; $P{\simeq}1.15\;log\;t+3.73\;log\;T+3.7\;log\;S-4X-6.4$ In addition to that, the most optimum conditions of pigment extraction were determined as 30 minutes of operation time, $40^{\circ}C$ of temperature. Deffated Gardenia was more productive than natural Gardenia in the pigment extraction.
The extraction mode of orange-yellow pigment from Gardenia is depended upon the extraction time, extraction temperature and volume of solvent. The amounts of the extracted-pigment (C) is proportional to the log ${\theta}^{1.15}$ of extraction time $({\theta}:0{\cdots}{\cdots}{\cdots}60$ min.), the log $T^{3.73}$ of extraction temperature $(T:5{\cdots}{\cdots}{\cdots}60^{\circ}C)$ and the log $S^{3.7}$ of volume of solvent $(S:5{\cdots}{\cdots}{\cdots}50ml)$ at $18^{\circ}C$ for 10 minutes. Finally, the general emperical equation was derived as follows; C=1.15 log ${\theta}$+3.73 log T+3.7 log S-7.0
Basic studies for the effective extraction of dibenzylammonium dibenzyldithiocarbamate(DBADBDC) complexes of Ag(I), Pd(II), Au(III) and Pt(IV) into chloroform have been conducted. The effects of pH on the extraction of ligand itself and metal cemplexes showed that DBADBDC itself was uniformly extracted in the pH range of 2~9 and metal complexes were effectively extracted at the pH range as follows. That is, Ag(I) : in an acidic aqua medium, Pd(II) : > 4, Au(III) : wide range, and Pt(IV) : > 3. The distribution ratio and extractabilities were obtained from the partition and extraction equilibria of metal-DBDC complexes between aqueous solution and chloroform. Ag(I) : log D=4.226 : E(%)=99.9% in the aqueous solution of pH 0, Pd(II) : log D=1.804 : E(%)=98.5% at pH 4~7, Au(III) : log D=3.755 : E(%)=99.9% at pH 2~10, and Pt(IV) : log D=0.165 : E(%)=57.2% at pH 8.0. And also mole ratio of metal ion to ligand in complexes were determined by mole ratio method : 1 : 1 for Ag(I) and 1 : 2 for Pd(II), Au(III) and Pt(IV). $Cl^-$ was included as a coordination species in complexes of Au(III) and Pt(IV). Besides, extraction mechanisms of compleses sere examined in the presence of chloride ion in an aquous solution, and extraction reactions and estraction constants could be proposed and calculated, respectively.
Basic studies for the effective extraction of ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate(APDC) complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) into a solvent have been performed. The maximum distribution ratio was appeared (log D=1.3543) at pH 2.0 and the partition coefficient was 2.489 in the extraction of $4{\times}10^{-5}M$ APDC itself into chloroform. From the UV/visible spectra of metal-chelates in aqueous and organic solutions, the pH to form stable 1:2 metal-ligand complexes were Co(II):5.0, Ni(II):8.0 and Cu(II):8.0, respectively and only 1 minute was enough to be partitioned into the chloroform. Besides, the partition and extraction equilibria of the complexes were investigated by back-extracting $10.0{\mu}g/ml$ metal-chelates from the solvent into an aqueous solution beacuse of their slight solubilities in the aqueous solution. The distribution coefficients and extractabilities were as follows : at pH 6.5~8.5 of the aqueous solution, log D=2.834 : E(%)=99.9% for $Co(PDC)_2$, at pH 11, log D=5.699 E%=100 for $Ni( PDC)_2$, and at pH 6.0, log D=2.025 : E(%)=99.1% for $Cu(PDC)_2$. And the extraction and formation constants were log $K_{ex}=9.671$ : log ${\beta}_2=6.938$ for $Co(PDC)_2$, log $K_{ex}=9.646$ : log ${\beta}_2=7.071$ for $Ni( PDC)_2$, and log $K_{ex}=9.074$ : log ${\beta}_2=7.049$ for $Cu(PDC)_2$, respectively. From these results, an optimum extraction procedure can be constructed for the separative concentration of trace metallic ions, and the quantitative determination of them in advanced materials and environmental samples will be expected without any influence of sample matrixes.
p-phenylene-2,5-benzobisoxazole (PBO; Zylon$(R)$) fibers as an adsorbent were employed for solid phase extraction of aqueous alkylphenols. The removal ratios for 10 kinds of alkylphenols at initial concentration of $100{\mu}gL^{-1}$ were in the range of 16.8-96.3% and the removals increased with the increase of the phase ratio (fiber weight/solution volume). The plots of the logarithm of partition coefficient (log K) were correlated with the logarithm of the n-octanol/water partition coefficient (log P). The adsorbed alkylphenols were completely desorbed with the mixture of acetonitrile and dichloromethane.
A study on the behavior of boron extraction by TMPD(2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol) was carried out to find the optimum conditions for the boron extraction from brine. In case of boron extraction from 0.736 g/L boron-containing brine, typical optimum extractive conditions would be confirmed to be 0.75 mol/L of extractant concentration at 3.0 pH of brine with 1 of phase ratio and 20 min. of shaking time at 298 K respectively. And 1 mol/L sodium hydroxide of stripping agent was shown above 99 % of boron extraction and stripping efficiencies. Also, extraction equilibrium equation were obtained through experiments as follows : log D = 1.7 log $[TMPD]_O$ + constant at pH < 6.
This study was conducted to find the optimum extraction condition of Gold-Thread for antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans using The evolutionary operation-factorial design technique. Higher antibacterial activity was achieved in a higher extraction temperature ($R^2=-0.79$) and in a longer extraction time ($R^2=-0.71$). Antibacterial activity was not affected by differentiation of the ethanol concentration in the extraction solvent ($R^2=-0.12$). The maximum antibacterial activity of clove against S. mutans determined by the EVOP-factorial technique was obtained at $80^{\circ}C$ extraction temperature, 26 h extraction time, and 50% ethanol concentration. The population of S. mutans decreased from 6.110 logCFU/ml in the initial set to 4.125 logCFU/ml in the third set.
In this paper, we analyze the quality status of Health and Welfare division's standardized log and asses the characteristics of the institutions' logs analysis to establish the criteria to minimize hazards and control the quality of log's institutional details to limit extraction. As a result, extraction condition's proposed development direction to adequately assess and control health and welfare abuses privacy control target log. This improvement over the status and quality of information shared with relation to institutional work of the log quality characteristics is made possible. In addition, quality control and inspection standards were prepared in accordance with the institutional log characteristics. Future research will include performing continuous analysis and improvement activities on the quality of logs with integrated control of sharing personal information and distributing information about logs' quality to proactively target organ. Therefore, we expect that correcting proactive personal information misuse and leakage is possible to achieve.
This study was conducted in order to elucidate the optimum conditions for the extraction of clove that can be used to elicit antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans using the evolutionary operation (EVOP)-factorial design technique. Higher antibacterial activity was achieved in a higher extraction temperature of $80^{\circ}C$ ($r=0.7983^{**}$) and in a longer extraction time of 26 hr ($r=0.6867^*$). Antibacterial activity was not effected by differentiation of ethanol concentration in the extraction solvent (r=-0.0683). The maximum antibacterial activity of clove against S. mutans as determined by the EVOP-factorial design technique was obtained at an extraction temperature of $80^{\circ}C$, an extraction time of 26 hr and a 50% ethanol concentration. Furthermore, the population of S. mutans decreased from an initial concentration of 6.850 to 4.195 log CFU/mL in the third set that is more than 2.6 log cycles by EVOP-factorial design technique.
