Design and Implementation of Ecology Map System by Location Based Web Service (EcoMap : 위치기반 웹 서비스를 이용한 생태지도의 설계 및 구현)

  • Currently, many kinds of World Wide Web contents are produced by an individual journalism. Users who simply obtain information by surfing the web becomes the producer, and many contents created by these users reflect on their own interesting topics and social issues. Among these issues, the environmental contents are considered in this study, which we proposed as EcoMap, a media service platform for such contents. In terms of EcoMap, a way of thinking about our own environment would be affected, and the environmental information will be produced and shared more effectively by the users on the web.

  • Recently, many WMS(Web Mapping Services) and POI(Point of Interest) service on to be in service on the Internet using Web CIS(Geographic Information System) as information Technology and computer HW are evolved faster in its speed, network bandwidth and features. The Web GIS is, however, limited and constrained on the specification of its system configuration, the service class provided and the presentation methodology of a map. As the mobile Internet becomes popular in mobile service, Web GIS service on mobile environment is strongly required and to be provided by LBS(Location Based Service) on a mobile client such as PDA with location information of the user. In this paper, we made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing environment by thin client for mobile web mapping service. For implementing the thin client GIS computing environment, we were using NGII's(National Geographic Information Institute's) DXF map, representing the map by SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) recommended by OGC(OpenGis Consortium), and adapting standard XML web service to provide the thin client GIS service on PDA by applying the location information of the user in realtime with GPS on mobile environment.

  • The majority of existing falling recognition techniques provide service by recognizing only that the falling occurred. However, it is important to recognize not only the occurrence of falling but also the situation before and after the falling, as well as the location of the falling. In this paper, we design and propose the falling notification service system to recognize and provide service. This system uses the acceleration sensor of the smartphone to recognize the occurrence of a falling and the situation before and after the falling. In order to check the location of falling, GPS sensor data is used in the Google Map API to map to the map. Also, a crosswalk map converted into grid-based coordinates based on the longitude and latitude of the crosswalk is stored, and the locations before and after falling are mapped. In order to reduce the connection speed and server overload for real-time data processing, fog computing and cloud computing are designed to be distributed processing.

  • In this study, we propose a emotion sharing system that is sharing users emotion change according to the location of the user where users was shared his emotion information and to the emotion. The system consists of a emotion sharing server and mobile smartphone apps. Emotion smartphone app represent status of emotion and location of users who wants to share emotion at map services based the Google Map API. Emotion sharing server was implemented using a RESTful way to allow emotion sharing between different variety platform besides mobile platforms. Emotion information that is exchanged on a emotion sharing server is stored in an XML fromat. We were confirm emotion sharing system that it could be sharing moving emotion change according to the user's location through map service.

Three-Dimensional Image Registration using a Locally Weighted-3D Distance Map (지역적 가중치 거리맵을 이용한 3차원 영상 정합)

  • In this paper. we Propose a robust and fast image registration technique for motion correction in brain CT-CT angiography obtained from same patient to be taken at different time. First, the feature points of two images are respectively extracted by 3D edge detection technique, and they are converted to locally weighted 3D distance map in reference image. Second, we search the optimal location whore the cross-correlation of two edges is maximized while floating image is transformed rigidly to reference image. This optimal location is determined when the maximum value of cross-correlation does't change any more and iterates over constant number. Finally, two images are registered at optimal location by transforming floating image. In the experiment, we evaluate an accuracy and robustness using artificial image and give a visual inspection using clinical brain CT-CT angiography dataset. Our proposed method shows that two images can be registered at optimal location without converging at local maximum location robustly and rapidly by using locally weighted 3D distance map, even though we use a few number of feature points in those images.

  • In this paper, we propose an indoor logistic tracking system that identifies the location and inventory of the logistics in the room based on fingerprints. Through this, we constructed the actual infrastructure of the logistics center and designed and implemented the logistics management system. The proposed system collects the signal strength through the location terminal and generates the signal map to locate the goods. The location terminal is composed of a UHF RFID reader and a wireless LAN card, reads the peripheral RFID signal and the signal of the wireless AP, and transmits it to the web server. The web server processes the signal received from the location terminal and stores it in the database, and the user uses the data to produce the signal map. The proposed system combines UHF RFID with existing fingerprinting method to improve performance in the environment of querying multiple objects.

  • Recent Internet Service Environment has been moved to provide geographic information based on location as well as existent various information. In this paper, we develop an integrated software connecting GIS information to Internet. In the other hand, in GIS S/W, it is important that rapid output of Digital Map and effective trnasmission of specified Digital Map about moving area. To achieve the purpose, we propose a reduced digital format to diminish original digital maps. Also, we develop a GIS-based software engine with functions connecting location information to URL as well as map viewer and map handling. Futhermore, our developed GIS S/W is based Module in LBS application using GPS sensor.

A Study on Terrain Construction of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Simulator Based on Spatial Information (공간정보 기반의 무인비행체 시뮬레이터 지형 구축에 관한 연구)

  • This paper covers research on terrain construction for unmanned aerial vehicle simulators using spatial information that was distributed by public institutions. Aerial photography, DEM, vector maps and 3D model data were used in order to create a realistic terrain simulator. A data converting method was suggested while researching, so it was generated to automatically arrange and build city models (vWorld provided) and classification methods so that realistic images could be generated by 3D objects. For example: rivers, forests, roads, fields and so on, were arranged by aerial photographs, vector map (land cover map) and terrain construction based on the tile map used by DEM. In order to verify the terrain data of unmanned aircraft simulators produced by the proposed method, the location accuracy was verified by mounting onto Unreal Engine and checked location accuracy.

A Cost-Aware RRT Planning Algorithm (비용 인지 RRT 경로 계획 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose a cost-aware Rapidly-exploring Random Tree (RRT) path planning algorithm for mobile robots. A mobile robot is presented with a cost map of the field of interest and assigned to move from one location to another. As a robot moves, the robot is penalized by the cost at its current location according to the cost map. The overall cost of the robot is determined by the trajectory of the robot. The goal of the proposed cost-aware RRT algorithm is to find a trajectory with the minimal cost. The cost map of the field can represent environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity, chemical concentration, wireless signal strength, and stealthiness. For example, if the cost map represents packet drop rates at different locations, the minimum cost path between two locations is the path with the best possible communication, which is desirable when a robot operates under the environment with weak wireless signals. The proposed cost-aware RRT algorithm extends the basic RRT algorithm by considering the cost map when extending a motion segment. We show that the proposed algorithm gives an outstanding performance compared to the basic RRT method. We also demonstrate that the use of rejection sampling can give better results through extensive simulation.

  • WPS is a system that finds the location of a current moving object through information of a wireless AP. The current location is determined by utilizing the outdoor and indoor AP signal strength characteristics. Even if the map is configured for the first service, the map information of the DB built by the variability of the AP signal cannot be 100% reliable in the case of outdoor. Therefore, various algorithms are needed to increase the accuracy of WPS. This paper proposes a system to increase positioning accuracy by applying various methods to determine the current position of a moving object.
