  • This paper is aimed at developing an location tracking system of mobile station based on currently available mobile communication network or mobile Phone and PCS(Personal Communication System). When the location tracking of mobile stations is in services, Emergency-119, all of crime investigation, effective urban traffic management and the safety protection of Alzheimer's patients can be available. In order to track the location of the mobile and base station, assumption in this paper is to use the statistic characteristics of LOS when modeling the standard noise in case that radio path is LNOS environment. The standard variation of the standard noise is $\pm150$. First, location is estimated by the positioning algorithms of TOA and TDOA and compared each other. Second, after canceling the standard noise by Kalman filter, location is estimated by the above two positioning algorithms. Finally, the location by the Kalman filter and two positioning algorithms is estimated by smoothing method. As a result, 2 dimensional average location error is imvoved by 51.2m in TOA and 34.8m in TDOA when Kalman filer and two positioning algorithms are used, compared with the two positioning algorithm used. And there is 3 more meter improvement after smoothing than Kalman filer and two positioning algorithms used.

  • In the future, 5G technology will become the core infrastructure driving the 4th industrial era. For intelligent super-convergence service, it will be necessary to collect various personal information such as location data. If a person's high-precision location information is exposed by a malicious person, it can be a serious privacy risk. In the past, various approaches have been researched through encryption and obfuscation to protect location information privacy. In this paper, we proposed a new technique that enables statistical query and data analysis without exposing location information. The proposed method does not allow the original to be re-identified through polynomial-based transform processing. In addition, since the quality of the original data is not compromised, the usability of positioning big data can be maximized.

  • Regional CRL(certificate revocation list) in vehicular communications is to partition Full CRL into several small CRLs according to geographic location to keep the size of individual CRLs with smaller. However, since a Regional CRL includes vehicle's revoked certificates within its administrative region, it has to know vehicle' location. For this, how to know vehicle' location effectively corresponding to every region represents a major challenge. This paper proposes a Regional CRL scheme which is envisioned to achieve vehicle's location and to make regional CRLs according to vehicles current location efficiently. The scheme is based on the short-lived pseudonyms defined by WAVE standard. It also acquires issued pseudonyms, vehicle's id and region information whenever a vehicle initiates pseudonyms refill after that, utilizes them to create and distribute the Regional CRL. To keep location privacy-preserving for vehicles, the scheme uses the blockchain technology in the network. The analysis results show that it reduces CRL size and database query time for finding revoked certificates sharply in the vehicle's on-board unit.

  • Since logical ground and method to deduct location to install Integrated Standard Controller under development to combine physically and functionally multiple enclosures of controllers for various ITS equipments on streets into one enclosure, there are much difficulty to apply it to site. Particularly we need to establish standardized methodology to deduct optimal location to integrate individual controllers installed dispersedly on streets such as node part and line part. Accordingly this study has the purpose of suggesting more reasonable and efficient methodology to determine location for Integrated Standard Controller to be developed newly. For this, new solution has been searched by using centroid which is utilized to decide facility location in urban planning. As the result of analysis, central point among centroid, in which equal connection to each equipment is possible is proved to be the most reasonable and correct coordinate and zone is proposed as installation location through designating coordinate system. The methodology suggested by this study seems to have high degree of utilization in site according to expansion of integrated standard controller market.

  • Location awareness is one of the key functions to build U-city. Recently, many of works for location-aware systems are emerging to commercially apply to on-going large-scale apartment complex. As dwellers or cars being attached with active tags are moving in the U-city complex, the active tags periodically broadcast their own identifiers mu routers fixed along the street or in a building use those information to calculate location of thorn. There are several issues to be considered for such an environment. In this paper we propose i) a new architecture for location-aware system considering such issues ii) technical issues to implement it using active tags, and iii) a mathematical analytic model to investigate overall performance and verify it by comparing with actual experimental results. Through mathematical analysis, we can show that it is more efficient for the routers to send location signals than the tags do. We also show that there are several additional services available in the apartment complex. We conduscted several experiments hi a real ease parking lot to show that our system can locate the location of dwellers or cars.

  • Recently, as location-determination of indoor users is available with the development of variety of localization techniques for indoor location-based service, diverse indoor location based services are proposed. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop individualized POI recommendation service for recommending most interested points of large-scale commercial spaces such as shopping malls and departments. For POI recommendation, it is necessary to study the method for exploring location which users are interested in location with considering user's mobility in large-scale commercial spaces. In this paper, we proposed POI recommendation system with the definition of users' as 'Stay point' in order to consider users' various interest locations. By using the proposed algorithm, we analysis users' Stay points, then mining the users' visiting pattern to finished the proposed. POI Recommendation System. The proposed system decreased data more dramatically than that of using user's entire mobility data and usage of memory.

  • Wireless mesh networks(WMNs) are wireless backbone networks technology consisting of a multi-hop routers. Location management is essential to provide a service to the terminal in WMNs. IEEE 802.11s standards have two basic location management scheme for location management - the proxy registration procedure and the associated station discovery protocol. These basic schemes, however, suffer from serious drawbacks including redundancy control message, ineffective location information maintenance, additional delay time. This paper propose an on-demand station location management scheme using 6-address structure of IEEE 802.11s. Through analysis and experimental evaluation on simulation, we show that proposal scheme reduce control message and forwarding delay time.

  • In this paper, we propose the effective operating device in the container freight station by applying the RTLS (Real Time Location System) that provides information on the container's location in real time so that the performance of the port operating system can be improved. For this, we proposed the improved dual cycling method made with the new application of two types of container's location & yard tractor's location information. we applied the RTLS to the container freight station to send the container location data to the operating system in real time; we designed the data on the Yard Tractor's location to be received via the GPS receiver and then be sent to the operating system in real time via the CDMA module. According to the analysis and evaluation of the performance of the proposed method, up to 24% of performance improvement was shown compared with the existing methods, in aspect of evaluation of work time, work time deviation and performance. Therefore, we proved that the RTLS and the GPS receiver are essential elements for efficient port operation.

  • In this paper, we present an anonymous authentication and location assurance protocol for secure location-aware services over vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). In other to achieve our goal, we propose the notion of a location-aware signing key so as to strongly bind geographic location information to cryptographic function while providing conditional privacy preservation which is a desirable property for secure vehicular communications. Furthermore, the proposed protocol provides an efficient procedure based on hash chain technique for revocation checking to effectively alleviate communication and computational costs on vehicles in VANETs. Finally, we demonstrate comprehensive analysis to confirm the fulfillment of the security objectives, and the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed protocol.
