A Study on Mobile SFA System Prototyping Using P2P LBS Service (P2P LBS를 활용한 모바일 영업자동화(SFA) 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • LBS has attracted considerable attention with the spread of high performance mobile devices and the expansion of mobile business. Our study starts from the recognition of the problems associated with the current mobile Sales Force Automation(SFA) which is one of the application domain of LBS: they lack the capabilities such as an efficient sharing of information. This paper presents a technical framework in which the location information on the move and the mobile P2P service are utilized for the realization of truly mobile SF A platforms. Major contributions of our study include feasible prototyping of gCRM middleware via which the location-based services on the move are enabled, and a agent module involving the P2P service for mobile clients.

  • Argument alternation in English sentences such as “load hay onto the truck" vs. “load the truck with hay" or “Bees are swarming in the. garden" vs. “The garden swarms with bees" present an interesting dilemma for linguistic theory in several ways. Along with each kind of syntactic rearrangement of arguments goes a subtle but significant and systematic change in the verb's meaning. This has been called as different terminology such as “Double-faced", “Verbal diathesis", and most commonly as “Argument alternation", Dowty adopts terminology: Agent-subject (A-subject) form and Location-subject (L-subject) form in referring the two kinds of sentences and analyses as well as describes their different properties. In this paper, I basically follow the Dowty(200l)'s assumption while surveying several linguists's analysis and show its theoretical adequacy. and show its theoretical adequacy.

  • A process known as the MR and EMR combination process is able to overcome the shortcomings of the MR (metallothermic reduction) and EMR (electronically mediated reaction) process. The effects of $K_2TaF_7$ as the raw material, sodium as the reducing agent and KCl/KF as the diluent on the characteristics of tantalum powder are investigated. In this study, a MR-EMR combination process has been employed to tantalum powder on the location of reductant. The excess of reductant were varied from 25, 50 to 75 wt%. The total charge and external circuit decreases as the amount of reductant increases. The average particle size increases with increasing the amount of reductant.

  • The prompt recovery of housing market in Korea became the national task, for which tools that can analyze the influence that changing situation of housing market and new policy may have on the housing market needs to be developed. Thus, this research intends to develop Multi-Agent Housing Market Model and simulation system in Jinju City as a study area. Analyzing the local housing market of Jinju City, then multi-agent model of housing market that consolidates 3 sub-models, house choice model, hedonic model of house price and location choice model is developed. Moreover in order to develop simulation system the model is programmed in the virtual space of which the size is $150{\times}100$ cell including physical shape of city such as road, urban facilities, land use, etc. With the system, simulations are performed to confirm the impact of urban development on the pattern of residential location. As a result, it is found that the residential location can not be easily induced when only road, commercial and convenient facilities are supplied. However, it is also found that since supplying green results in very many residences, arrangement of infrastructure and environmental factor should be considered at the same time for urban development. As conclusion, it is confirmed that the model and simulation system developed in this research smoothly works to be utilized for the analysis of diverse policy experiment and housing market.

Experimental Study on the Fire Extinguishing Characteristics of Water Mist System (미분무수 소화설비의 소화특성 실험)

  • We carried out fire extinguishing experiments with three kinds of water mist nozzle system. Fire extinguishing experiment according to installed nozzle height and fuel pan location was done. And fire extinguishing performance was compared with plain water and foam agent mixed solution. Water mist nozzle height was varied with 4m, 3.5m and 3m and position of fuel fan was varied 0.5m and 1m from the center of water mist nozzle. Foam agent that used in this experiment is 3% type of AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) solution. Experimental result showed the door opening effect was little. Fire extinguishing performance of foam agent mixture water mist was better than the plain water mist only.

A Mobile IP Handover Scheme Based on Routing Costs (라우팅 비용을 고려한 Mobile IP 핸드오버 방안)

  • This paper proposes a new handover scheme to minimize handover delay and signaling costs, using the fact that a new packet forwarding path could be same or similar to the old one in Mobile IPv4. In the proposed scheme a foreign agent estimates the correlation between the new and old routing paths by using routing costs after receiving a registration request message from a mobile node. If the new packet forwarding path could be same or similar to the old one, the mobile node can receive packets from its old foreign agent without registering its new location with its home agent or correspondent node. The performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme can efficiently reduce handover delay and signaling costs.

  • Jini architecture's Network Plug and Work provides simple and flexible network environment for distributed applications. Through the Jini technology, facilities for dynamically registering and locating mobile agent services can be easily supported, as well as the services useful for activities of mobile agents can be dynamically supported. In this paper, we describe a Jini-based mobile agent system named JMoblet, which provides the basic functions of a mobile agent system such as creation, control, transfer, location and communication among agents. To increase the reliability of the system, it also provides exception handling and persistence of the mobile agent systems for reliability.

  • The Bio-Inspired System focuses on the creation of an effective system model for massive network applications and is being widely developed. However, the system has a problem-difficulty implementing three features in the system, which includes scalability, adaptability and survivability. To solve this problem, we designed an Ecogent as a multiple intelligence agent, and a Bio-platform to address the three features of scalability, adaptability and survivability. The Bio-Inspired System Platform consists of an ERS (Ecogent Runtime Services) Platform and a Bio-Platform. The ERS platform serves the basic functions of mobile agents, such as Registration, Life Cycle, Migration, Communication, Location and Fault Tolerance. The Bio-Platform includes the functions of Evolution Control and Stigmergy Control to address evolution and adaptation.

  • Recently, diverse schedule management agents are being researched for the efficient schedule management of smart devices users, but they remain at a confirmatory level. In order to efficiently manage user's schedules, execution of planned schedules should be monitored to help users properly execute their schedules, or feedback must be given so that when setting up new schedules, users can plan their schedule according to their schedule establishment patterns. This research proposes a schedule management agent that infers the user's behaviors by using acquired user context, and provides schedule related feedback depending on the user's behavior patterns, when users are executing their schedules or planning new schedules. For this, collected user context information is preprocessed and user's behavior is inferred by Bayesian network. Also, in order to provide feedbacks necessary for confirming the user's schedule execution and new schedule establishment, a context tree pattern matching method for the user's schedule, location and time contexts was applied, then verified with 6 weeks of user simulation in a mobile environment.

  • Various techniques have been proposed for detection and tracking of targets in order to develop a real-world computer vision system, e.g., visual surveillance systems, intelligent transport systems (ITSs), and so forth. Especially, the idea of distributed vision system is required to realize these techniques in a wide-spread area. In this paper, we develop a ubiquitous vision system for location-awareness of multiple targets. Here, each vision sensor that the system is composed of can perform exact segmentation for a target by color and motion information, and visual tracking for multiple targets in real-time. We construct the ubiquitous vision system as the multiagent system by regarding each vision sensor as the agent (the vision agent). Therefore, we solve matching problem for the identity of a target as handover by protocol-based approach. We propose the identified contract net (ICN) protocol for the approach. The ICN protocol not only is independent of the number of vision agents but also doesn't need calibration between vision agents. Therefore, the ICN protocol raises speed, scalability, and modularity of the system. We adapt the ICN protocol in our ubiquitous vision system that we construct in order to make an experiment. Our ubiquitous vision system shows us reliable results and the ICN protocol is successfully operated through several experiments.
