In the binaural synthesis environments, wide varieties of the head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) that have measured with a various direction would be desirable to obtain the accurate and various spatial sound images. To reduce the size' of HRTFs, interpolation has been often employed, where the HRTF for any direction is obtained by a limited number of the representative HRTFs. In this paper, we study on the distortion measures for interpolation, which has an important role in interpolation. With lhe various objective distortion metrics, the differences between the interpolated and the measured HRTFs were computed. These were then compared and analyzed with the results from the listening tests. From the results, the objective distortion measures were selected, that reflected the perceptual differences in spatial sound image. This measure was employed in a practical interpolation technique. We applied the proposed method to four kinds of an HRTF set, measured from three human heads and one mannequin. As a result, the Mel-frequency cepstral distortion was shown to be a good predictor for the differences in spatial sound location, when three HRTF measured from human, and the time-domain signal to distortion ratio revealed good prediction results for the entire four HRTF sets.
Purpose: The prevalent use of mobile devices may contribute to musculoskeletal disorders, such as forward head posture (FHP), among users. The measurement of the craniovertebral angle (CVA) using photographic images is frequently employed in assessing FHP. Although manual CVA measurement using photographic images is reliable in clinical settings, computer programs or mobile applications to support tele-physical therapy are not yet fully developed. Therefore, in the current study, we propose an automatic method for extracting CVA from photographic images of FHP subjects to facilitate tele-physical therapy. Methods: To develop the automatic CVA measuring computer program, photographic images were obtained from 10 FHP participants. The location information obtained from the markers attached to the tragus and the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra were used as coordinates. Using these coordinates, straight line 1 was generated by connecting the seventh spinous process of the cervical vertebra and the tragus, while straight line 2 was drawn parallel to the coordinate obtained from the seventh spinous process of the cervical vertebra. The arc tangent function was used to calculate the angle between the two straight lines. The automatic CVA measurement computer program utilizing photographic images was developed using MATLAB (ver. 2016b). Results: The results showed that the automatic CVA measurement computer program demonstrated stable repeatability and high accuracy. Conclusion: The proposed approach was able to automatically estimate the CVA using photographic images. The developed computer program can potentially be used for easier and more reliable clinical assessment of FHP.

This paper proposes a method to recognize and track drivable lane areas to assist the driver. The main topic is designing a deep-based network that predicts drivable road areas using computer vision and deep learning technology based on images acquired in real time through a camera installed in the center of the windshield inside the vehicle. This study aims to develop a new model trained with data directly obtained from cameras using the YOLO algorithm. It is expected to play a role in assisting the driver's driving by visualizing the exact location of the vehicle on the actual road consistent with the actual image and displaying and tracking the drivable lane area. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to track the drivable road area in most cases, but in bad weather such as heavy rain at night, there were cases where lanes were not accurately recognized, so improvement in model performance is needed to solve this problem.
Many users are uploading their daily life activities on SNS and use hashtags to describe their postings. Hashtag has the advantage of letting users specify categories for their postings, however until now, the users has had to manually input the hashtags which has been very inconvenient for them. Therefore, in order to address this issue, this paper proposes a hashtag recommender system which recommends proper hashtags to users based on their uploaded images on SNS. The proposed system is designed using four analytic structures, which is composed of a camera information-based analysis, an address-based analysis, a location based CF analysis, and an image-based analysis. In order to check whether the proposed system is improved compared to the existing systems in terms of the hashtag recommendation function, we conducted an evaluation with 212 SNS users from fifteen countries. As a result of the evaluation process, the proposed system shows very high accuracy recommendation results compared to the existing hashtag recommender systems.

Three-dimensional (3D) modeling of the liver can be especially useful for both the surgeon and patient to understand the actual location of the tumor and planning the resection plane. Virtual reality (VR) can enhance the understanding of 3D structures and create an environment where the user can focus on contents provided. In the present study, a VR platform was developed using Unreal Engine 4 software (Epic Games, Potomac, MD, USA). Patient's liver based on magnetic resonance image was imported as a 3D model that could distinguish liver parenchyma, vascular structure, and cancer. Preoperative education videos for patients were developed. They could be viewed inside the VR platform. To evaluate the usefulness of VR education program for patients undergoing liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma, a randomized clinical trial evaluating the knowledge and anxiety of the patient was designed. The case presented in this report was the first experience of performing the VR education program and examining the knowledge and anxiety using questionnaires. When the knowledge score increased, the anxiety score also increased after the education program. Based on findings of this pilot case study, the timing and place where the questionnaire will be answered can be modified for formal initiation of the randomized controlled study to examine the usefulness of VR in patient education.
Research into vision-based end-to-end autonomous driving systems utilizing deep learning and reinforcement learning has been steadily increasing. These systems typically encode continuous and high-dimensional vehicle states, such as location, velocity, orientation, and sensor data, into latent features, which are then decoded into a vehicular control policy. The complexity of urban driving environments necessitates the use of state representation learning through networks like Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) or Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). This paper analyzes the impact of different image state encoding methods on reinforcement learning performance in autonomous driving. Experiments were conducted in the CARLA simulator using RGB images and semantically segmented images captured by the vehicle's front camera. These images were encoded using VAE and Vision Transformer (ViT) networks. The study examines how these networks influence the agents' learning outcomes and experimentally demonstrates the role of each state representation technique in enhancing the learning efficiency and decision- making capabilities of autonomous driving systems.

Purpose When examining patients with digestive system Leakage, it is not easy to distinguish between bile leakage and bleeding only with Planar images. I would like to evaluate the utility of leakage of bile, confirmation of gastrointestinal bleeding and location discrimination using SPECT-CT. Materials and Methods SPECT-CT was performed according to the request of the reading room after acquiring Planar image for a total of 13 patients, including 8 patients suspected of bile leakage and 5 patients suspected of gastrointestinal bleeding, among patients visiting this specification went. We used Symbia T16 from SIEMENS and Discovery 670 from GE. Planar and SPECT-CT images were evaluated with a score of 1 to 10 by 4 experienced nuclear medicine doctors. Using the sensitivity and the specificity, the evaluation of the inspection by the ROC curve was carried out. The final diagnosis was confirmed by follow-up observation as a result of reoperative surgery. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of SPECT-CT were 91.7%, 100% and 94.2%, respectively. Planar images were 83.3%, 68.8% and 78.8%, respectively. Planar images showed lower diagnostic accuracy compared to SPECT-CT (78.8%, 94.2%, p<0.05). Moreover, the reliability of the diagnosis of SPECT-CT by ROC curve analysis showed a more useful result than the Planar image (p<0.05). Conclusion SPECT-CT had high sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of biliary leakage and gastrointestinal bleeding and location discrimination. When SPECT-CT is additionally performed together with Planar images, it may be considered to improve bile leakage and diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding patients and position discrimination evaluation. There is usefulness depending on the patient's age and position, but consideration of additional CT exposure may be done sufficiently.

Introduction : The phantom that includes high density materials such as steel was custom-made to fix lung and bone in order to evaluation inhomogeneity correction at the time of conducting radiation therapy to treat lung cancer. Using this, values resulting from the inhomogeneous correction algorithm are compared on the 2 and 3 dimensional radiation therapy planning systems. Moreover, change in dose calculation was evaluated according to inhomogeneous by comparing with the actual measurement. Materials and Methods : As for the image acquisition, inhomogeneous correction phantom(Pig's vertebra, steel(8.21g/cm3), cork(0.23 g/cm3)) that was custom-made and the CT(Volume zoom, Siemens, Germany) were used. As for the radiation therapy planning system, Marks Plan(2D) and XiO(CMS, USA, 3D) were used. To compare with the measurement value, linear accelerator(CL/1800, Varian, USA) and ion chamber were used. Image, obtained from the CT was used to obtain point dose and dose distribution from the region of interest (ROI) while on the radiation therapy planning device. After measurement was conducted under the same conditions, value on the treatment planning device and measured value were subjected to comparison and analysis. And difference between the resulting for the evaluation on the use (or non-use) of inhomogeneity correction algorithm, and diverse inhomogeneity correction algorithm that is included in the radiation therapy planning device was compared as well. Results : As result of comparing the results of measurement value on the region of interest within the inhomogeneity correction phantom and the value that resulted from the homogeneous and inhomogeneous correction, gained from the therapy planning device, margin of error of the measurement value and inhomogeneous correction value at the location 1 of the lung showed $0.8\%$ on 2D and $0.5\%$ on 3D. Margin of error of the measurement value and inhomogeneous correction value at the location 1 of the steel showed $12\%$ on 2D and $5\%$ on 3D, however, it is possible to see that the value that is not correction and the margin of error of the measurement value stand at $16\%$ and $14\%$, respectively. Moreover, values of the 3D showed lower margin of error compared to 2D. Conclusion : Revision according to the density of tissue must be executed during radiation therapy planning. To ensure a more accurate planning, use of 3D planning system is recommended more so than the 2D Planning system to ensure a more accurate revision on the therapy plan. Moreover, 3D Planning system needs to select and use the most accurate and appropriate inhomogeneous correction algorithm through actual measurement. In addition, comparison and analysis through TLD or film dosimetry are needed.

Korea is surrounded by sea on three sides. This country has been supplied with a variety of aquaculture products cultivated on shores. There have recently been a lot of studies to have better understanding of the correct location and quantity of aquaculture farms for seaweed, ear shells and fish that cover a wide area of sea. And it is necessary to use the geographic information system and remote sensing to detect the aquaculture farms in order to effectively manage them. This study uses higher resolution aerial images(25 centimeters) than satellite images of 2~2.5-meter resolution that have been ever used, to conduct an accuracy detection of aquaculture farming facilities. It chooses as the case study area the Wando region that has aquaculture farms for seaweed, ear shells and fish. Aerial photos of the island were obtained in this study and an image correction of them was conducted. A spatial database was then constructed in this study and the detection of aquaculture farming facilities was performed. An analysis of facilities inside and outside the permitted areas reveals that there has been an increase in the facilities of seaweed and ear shell aquaculture farms outside the permitted areas. And also it tells that because the facilities of fish aquaculture farms have turned into those of ear shell aquaculture farms, there has been a decrease in permitted facilities, facilities detected on the basis of aerial images, and facilities outside the permitted area. It will be necessary to continuously control and manage the unpermitted facilities, regarding the increase in the facilities inside and outside the permitted area for seaweed and ear shell aquaculture farms. Because the facilities of aquaculture farms cover a wide range of areas(sea) in this manner, it is more effective to depend on high resolution aerial images than a field survey to detect and calculate the facilities. This study comes up with a plan for using aerial images to detect the location and the quantity of the fish aquaculture facilities and then effectively manage them.
Purpose: Although computed tomography (CT) simulators are commonly used in radiation therapy department, many Institution still use conventional CT for treatments. In this study the setup errors that occur during simulation, CT scan (diagnostic CT scanner), and treatment were evaluated for the twenty one breast cancer patients. Materials and Methods: Errors were determined by calculating the differences in isocenter location, SSD, CLD, and locations of surgical clips implanted during surgery. The anatomic structures on simulation film and DRR image were compared to determine the movement of isocenter between simulation and CT scan. The isocetner point determined from the radio-opaque wires placed on patient's surface during CT scan was moved to new position if there was anatomic mismatch between the two images Results: In 7/21 patients, anatomic structures on DRR Image were different from the simulation Image thus new isocenter points were placed for treatment planning. The standard deviations of the diagnostic CT setup errors relative to the simulator setup in lateral, longitudinal, and anterior-posterior directions were 2.3, 1.6, and 1.6 mm, respectively. The average variation and standard deviation of SSD from AP field were 1.9 mm and 2.3 mm and from tangential fields were 2.8 mm and 3.7 mm. The variation of the CLD for the 21 patients ranged from 0 to 6 mm between simulation and DRR and 0 to 5 mm between simulation and treatment. The group systematic errors analyzed based on clip locations were 1.7 mm in lateral direction, 2.1 mm in AP direction, and 1.7 mm in SI direction. Conclusion: These results represent that there was no significant differences when SSD, CLD, clips' locations and isocenter locations were considered. Therefore, it is concluded that when a diagnostic CT scanner is used to acquire an image, the set-up variation is acceptable compared to using CT simulator for the treatment of breast cancer. However, the patient has to be positioned with care during CT scan in order to reduce the setup error between simulation and CT scan.
