3D Position Tracking for Moving objects using Stereo CCD Cameras (스테레오 CCD 카메라를 이용한 이동체의 실시간 3차원 위치추적)

  • In this paper, a 3D position tracking algorithm for a moving objects using a stereo CCD cameras was proposed. This paper purposed the method to extract the coordinates of the moving objects. That is improve the operating and data processing efficiency. We were applied the relative orientation far the stereo CCD cameras and image coordinates extraction in the left and right images after the moving object segmentation. Also, it is decided on 3D position far moving objects using an acquired image coordinates in the left and right images. We were used independent relative orientation to decide the relative location and attitude of the stereo CCD cameras and RGB pixel values to segment the moving objects. To calculate the coordinates of the moving objects by space intersection. And, We conducted the experiment the system and compared the accuracy of the results.

  • Enteric duplications associated with the pancreas are especially uncommon, and the differential diagnosis of pancreatic duplication cysts is often difficult, and may be confused with various cystic lesions of the pancreas. We report a case of pancreatic duplication cyst; present the images and laboratory findings including cyst fluid tumor markers. MR and MRS findings enabled the detection of the location, contour, characteristics of cystic fluid and definition of tissue planes between the lesion and adjacent structures, providing useful information for an accurate surgical approach.

  • This study tried to establish a base level for the form of ginseng in order to prevent fraud in which novice consumers, who have no information on ginseng and mountain ginseng, regard ginseng as mountain ginseng. To that end, researchers designed a service design in which when a consumer takes a picture of ginseng with an APP dedicated to a smartphone, the photo is sent remotely and the determined results are sent to the consumer based on machine learning data. In order to minimize the difference between the data set in the research process and the background color, location, size, illumination, and color temperature of the mountain ginseng when consumers took pictures through their smartphones, the filming box exclusively for consumers was designed. Accordingly, the collection of mountain ginseng samples was made under the same controlled environment and setting as the designed box. This resulted in a 100% predicted probability from the CNN(VGG16) model using a sample that was about one-tenth less than widley required in machine learning.

  • MANET is not suitable to be applied to vehicle environments because of frequent path loss and path re-routing. To solve these problem, It is known that location-based routing protocol VANET is efficient. But, the VANET algorithm does not consider urban environments due to frequent vehicle movement and jamming by tall building. In this paper, we propose an efficient routing protocol to improve transfer efficiency and reduce transfer hop count. in urban networks.

  • The accurate forecasting of the public transportation's transit and arrival time has become increasingly important as more people use buses and subways instead of personal vehicles under the government's public transportation promotion policy. Using bus management system (BMS) data, which provide information on the real-time bus location, operation interval, and operation history, it is now possible to analyze the bus schedule reliability. However, the punctuality should always be considered together with the operation safety. Therefore, this study suggests a new methodology to secure both reliability and safety using the BMS data. Unlike other studies, we calculated the bus travel time between two bus stops by dividing the total travel length into 6 sections using 5 different measuring points. In addition, the optimal travel time for each bus route was proposed by analyzing the mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation of the each section's measurement. This will ensure the reliability, safety and mobility of the bus operation.

  • In this paper, we propose a Cross-Layer Cooperative Routing(CLCR) architecture to support transmission efficiency in mobile wireless sensor networks. The main features and contributions of the proposed architecture and method are as follows. First, the clustering which uses the location information of nodes is utilized as infrastructure. Second, a cross-layer strategy which uses the technologies of network layer, MAC layer, physical layer together to support transmission efficiency and channel efficiency for cooperative-aided routing and transmission. Third, we consider realistic approach in the view points of the mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks while conventional methods just consider fixed sensor network environments. The performance evaluation of the proposed method is performed via simulation using OPNET and theoretical analysis. The results of performance evaluation of the proposed CLCR show improvement of transmission efficiency by the proposed CLCR.

  • Recently, according to the development of ubiquitous computing, the u-GIS which not only used in u-Transport, u-Care, u-Fun, u-Green, u-Business, u-Government, and u-City but also used to provides various spatial information such as the location of user is being the core technology of the ubiquitous computing environment. In this paper, we implemented an mobile spatio-temporal Query Processing Systems for handling the Spatio-Temporal Data in mobile equipment.The mobile spatio-temporal Query Processing Systems provides the spatio-temporal data type and the spatio-temporal operator that is expanded by the spatial data type and the spatial operator from OepenGIS "Simple Feature Specification for SQL". It supports arithmetic coding compression techniques that is considered with a spatio-temporal data specific character. It also provides the function of data cashing for improving the importation and exportation of the spatio-temporal data between a embedded spatio-temporal DBMS and u-GIS server.

  • In this paper, a developed device for detecting target's location and avoiding collision is proposed. Velocity and acceleration model of target are derived to estimate target's information, i.e. position, velocity and acceleration considering process and measurement noise. Kalman filtering method applied to the estimation process and its results was confirmed by simulation. The distance measurements system using laser sensor for moving target system is also developed to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Experiments to get information of moving target with velocity and acceleration model was executed. The data with filtering and without filtering was compared by experiments. Discontinuous measured data was changed to smooth and continuous data by Kalman filtering. It is confirmed that desired data was obtained by applying proposed scheme. UI for measuring and monitoring the target data is developed and visual and auditory alarm function is attached on the system Finally, position estimation system of moving target with good performance is achieved by low price equipments.

  • To propose a contents model for children's smart watch, this study interview 15mothers who have a child using smart watches. Most mothers purchase smart watches for children to warrant their security and manage their schedules, and they use them for sending a call or text to their children, tracking or managing children's location and schedule. Mothers were satisfied with a smart watch's function of communication and safety management, but dissatisfied learning-oriented contents and worrried about bad influenced on children development. Through in-depth interviews, this study propose a persona model for children's smart watch for enhancing parent-child interaction and physical cognitive language socioemotional convergence play contents.

A Spatial Analysis of Research Collaboration by Using Co-authorship Publications (공동저술 논문을 이용한 연구협력에 대한 공간적 분석)

  • Nowadays research collaboration between the business, academic and governmental community is high on the policy agenda in all over the world, especially with regard to science-based technological innovation. The aim of this paper is to explore some of the changing spatial patterns of research collaboration by carrying out bibliometric analysis of co-authorship publications in major international and scientific journals that are jointly realized by Korean scientists and researchers in the seven science-based technologies for the period 2002~2012. Using the co-authored papers as an indicator of research collaboration with the institutional address of each co-authoring researcher and the geographic location of their affiliation, this paper describes some trends and patterns of domestic and international research collaborations. Identifying a rapid increase in the volume of co-authored papers and the trend towards multiple authorships over the last decade, the paper finds collaborative scientific research to be geographically dispersed at the different spatial scales. Despite the rising geographic dispersion of research collaboration within the nation, this paper finds that there were empirical evidences for the presence of localized knowledge production processes at regional level, and biased knowledge flows towards core areas with advanced research resources.
