Nowadays, local governments have been developing an image to represent their regions' identity. These characters contain unlimited capabilities of utilization and advertising effect that adds to their high value. However, we must consider how effectively the image helps in representing its region because some characters have been produced upon timely basis without consistent long-term planning. This study is to investigate the image and motif of the local government characters from the consumer's perspective. The results are as follows: 1)The images employed by the local governments are not highly preferred and most regions select motifs from their local agricultural products and native plants. 2)The variables that affect the character of the local governments are such as beauty, identity, etc. In conclusion, in order to maximize the local government image, one must improve the design concepts, encourage advertisement of regional festivities and travel commercialization, and advocate the identity and beauty of the local area to the residents and other regional people.

We propose a variational wave function for the ground state of the magnetic heavy fermion (HF) systems, in which both the Kondo and the RKKY interactions are variationally incorporated and the local f-orbital state exists as a linear combination of a full local moment state and a fully compensated state (mixed wave state). We describe the mechanism for the mixed wave ground state based on the large-N treatment of the Kondo lattice Hamiltonian added with RKKY interaction. With the mixed wave ground state we can explain several puzzling experiments in magnetic HF compounds such as a small value of local moment, coexistence of the antiferromagnetic (AFM) and the paramagnetic (PM) phases, local quantum criticality, etc.

Saponin isolated from Sapindus mukorossi Gaertn has been shown to contain a strong anti-inflammatory activity. In this study, several pharmacological properties such as acute toxicity, local irritation and hemolytic activity of Sapindus saponin and its genin component, hederagenirl, were examined. The acute toxicity of Sapindus saponin was very low. Estimated from the LD$_{50}$ values, it showed much weaker toxicity in oral administration than in intraperitoneal injection. Hederagenin gave a very high LD$_{50}$ value even in intraperitoneal injection. Sapindus saponin showed a potent local irritation after topical application, whereas hederagenin did a very weak local irritation. Sapindus saponin also gave a high hemolytic activity.

Recently, multiple metropolitan counties and local authorities have been actively working on improving their local existence with various methods and strategies. Such change cannot be observed when local authorities were chosen by the government. Also, the public administration has recently emphasized important factors of public design which seeks better lifestyle and outward beauty from quantitative growth and policy of strongly considering outward form due to the compressive modernization. Public design intends to complete aesthetic factor and improve the quality of life as the efficiency as the value of public administration. The purpose of this study is to discuss how public school has been evolved as public space and how to create local user-centered interaction. The study retrieve the communication which the essential publicness in the school public design and the self-management which is the original value in terms of sociology. The method in which the characters of the public design of the publicness have been changed will be concentrated on in public area. In addition, the study has been focused on the efforts of the reflection of the development in public design are the challenges for the aim of the design of the publicness.

For the purpose of protecting the health of citizens and creating a delightful environment, the Government shall establish the environmental standards, and make such standards keep their propriety according to any changes in environmental conditions. The Special Metropolitan City, Metropolitan City or Do may, in case where deemed necessary in view of the speciality of regional environments, set forth the separate environmental standards which are more expanded and strengthened than the environmental standards by the Municipal Ordinance of the relevant City/Do. The purpose of this study was for the management of stream waters of Jeju Island and proposed the appropriate Jeju local river environmental standards. Jeju-Do and Daejeon-si applies the Local River Environmental Standards in Korea. While each nation? circumstances and environment are different, for the most part, environmental standards and purposes of use are similar to those in Korea. Proposed Jeju River Local Environment Standards followed The River Environment Standards of Nation(Korea) for Living Environment Standards. Newly Strengthened Value is Cd, Carbon tetrachloride, 1,2-dichloroethene, Tetrachloroethylene(PCE) and add Items is Fluorine, Selenium, Phenol and Toluene for Human Health Protection.

The primary goal of surface approximation is to reduce the degree of deviation of the simplified surface from the original surface. However it is difficult to define the metric that can measure the amount of deviation quantitatively. Many of the existing studies analogize it by using the change of the scalar quantity before and after simplification. This approach makes a lot of sense in the point that the local surfaces with small scalar are relatively less important since they make a low impact on the adjacent areas and thus can be removed from the current surface. However using scalar value alone there can exist many cases that cannot compute the degree of geometric importance of local surface. Especially the perceptual geometric features providing important clues to understand an object, in our observation, are generally constructed with small scalar value. This means that the distinguishing features can be removed in the earlier stage of the simplification process. In this paper, to resolve this problem, we present various factors and their combination as the metric for calculating the deviation error by introducing the orientation of local surfaces. Experimental results indicate that the surface orientation has an important influence on measuring deviation error and the proposed combined error metric works well retaining the relatively high curvature regions on the object's surface constructed with various and complex curvatures.

This paper describes the design scheme of the three-dimensional structures based on the concept of the cellular automata simulation. The cellular automata simulation is performed according to the local rule. In this paper, the local rule is derived in the mathematical formulation from the optimization problem. The cell density is taken as the design variable. Two objective functions are defined for reducing the total weight of the structure and obtaining the fully stressed structure. The constraint condition is defined for defining the local rule. The penalty function is defined from the objective functions and the constraint condition. Minimization of the penalty function with respect to the design parameter leads to the local rule. The derived rule is applied to the design of the three-dimensional structure first. The final structure can be obtained successfully. However, the computational cost is expensive. So, in order to reduce the computational cost, the material parameters $c_1$ and $c_2$ and the value of the cell rejection criterion (CRC) are changed. The results show that the computational cost depends on the parameters and the CRC value.

Purpose - This study aims to suggest strategies for Korean enterprises advancing into the Vietnam bakery market by analyzing the effects of perceived values on brand preference and purchase intention among Korean and Vietnamese consumers. Research design, data, and methodology - The perceived value model designed includes functional (price, quality), emotional, and social values. The survey collected data from 500 consumers in Seoul (Korea) and HoChiMinh (Vietnam). The SPSS 18.0 package was used for analysis. Results - First, among Vietnamese consumers, perceived value had a positive (+) effect on global brand preference in the order of functional value of quality, social value, and the functional value of price. However, from an ethnocentric trend and brand image origin, emotional value had a negative effect on global brand preference. In contrast, among Korean consumers, perceived value had a positive (+) effect on global brand preference in the order of functional value of quality, the functional value of price, and the social value. However, emotional value had no effect on global brand preference. Second, for both Korean and Vietnamese consumers, perceived value had a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Third, unlike the Korean consumer, for the Vietnamese consumer, global brand preference had a significant effect on purchase intention. Conclusions - The study implies the following. First, the Vietnamese bakery market has a high proportion of middle-aged customers in their 40s (64%). In terms of monthly income, there was a large proportion (40%) of high-income earners (over $325). Therefore, bakery consumption can be seen as concentrated among middle-aged and high-income consumers. Based on this, bakery strategies should include efforts to increase purchase prices as well as ways to attract local consumers (large cities). Second, unlike Korean consumers, among Vietnamese consumers, the resistance to a global brand based on emotional value (the ethnocentric tendency and brand image origin) can be seen as relatively low. Thus, in the case of the Vietnam bakery market, to increase a global brand's preference, the company should develop a differentiated strategy so that Vietnamese consumers can recognize it better, focusing on product quality, good service quality, and price in the local environment and on social value for social development. Third, in the case of the Vietnamese customer, we found that social value exerts the greatest influence on purchase intention. Therefore, a brand that engenders an image of building the local Vietnamese community can achieve a higher social value and influence purchase intention. In addition, although Vietnamese consumers have ethnocentric tendencies in terms of products, we found that if it is a preferred global brand then there are intentions to purchase. Fourth, in the case of Vietnam, if the preference for global brands is formed, consumer awareness may be connected to purchase intention. Therefore, global brands operating in Vietnam should pay attention to how to improve consumer preferences for global brands in order to increase purchase intention.

Living culture emphasizes cultural activities in daily life based on local characteristics, and aims to integrate art with daily life to communicate with others through activities of local residents. In this process, the values that individuals and society should have, are evoked and restored. In order to understand the context and processes in which the values of the living culture are expressed as local culture, we analyzed the case of 'Gosaek Nongak(community band music, dance and rituals in Korea) conservation association' in Suwon area and tried to diagnose how art and daily life are integrated and restoring community life in the actual field. For this purpose, phenomenological research was conducted through literature review participatory observation, and in-depth interviews to categorize the social impacts of living culture activities and public support due to individual, community, and local influences. We found that public support for living culture led to increased artistic development and human interaction in the community, and that individuals who are thus empowered to seek artistic experience and actively interact with other people, emerge as vital subjects and practitioners of culture and arts in their local community. Furthermore, we found that the activities of living culture facilitated the formation of local identity for members and local residents. Through living culture activities, members and local residents became more aware of being members of the community and found value and meaning in participating in daily life and cultural activities.

Purpose: In a situation where the local economy and alley economy are stagnant, efforts to revitalize the role of small business owners need a virtuous cycle system through consumers' consumption power, not just cash support. Research design, data, and methodology: The study site focuses on Daedeok-gu, the first to introduce local currency as a policy. In the case of the store survey, 254 stores out of 300 stores registered with local currency were analyzed, and the consumer survey was conducted on 1,394 out of 1,500 local people using local currency. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS. Result: As a result of time-series checking whether local economic activities are carried out smoothly due to the nature of the local currency, the average daily sales of Daedeok-gu increased by 388,980won compared to 2019. This proved through empirical research in the region that local currency played a priming role in bringing opportunities and rehabilitation to the local commercial districts and small business owners. Conclusions: In the monetary function of simply buying and selling value through payment, points supported as incentives can be used as local currency while inducing direct participation in solving social problems, and the concurrent effect of causing problem-solving and regional economic vitality began to sprout.
