When multiple robotics systems with several sub-chains grasp a common object, the inherent force redundancy provides a chance of utilizing internal loading. Analysis of grasping space based internal loading is proposed in this work since this method facilitates understanding the physical meaning of internal loadings in some applications, as compared to usual operational space based approach. Investigation of the internal loading for a triple manipulator has been few as ,compared to a dual manipulator. In this paper, types of the internal loading for dual and triple manipulator systems are investigated by using the reduced row echelon method to analyze the null space of those systems. No internal loading condition is derived and several load distribution schemes are compared through simulation. Furthermore, it is shown that the proposed scheme based on grasping space is applicable to analysis of special cases such as three-fingered and three-legged robots having a point contact with the grasped object or ground.

This paper proposes a hybrid machine-learning model, which is called DANN-IP, that combines a deep artificial neural network (DANN) and an interior-point (IP) algorithm in order to improve the prediction capacity on the patch loading resistance of steel plate girders. For this purpose, 394 steel plate girders that were subjected to patch loading were tested in order to construct the DANN-IP model. Firstly, several DANN models were developed in order to establish the relationship between the patch loading resistance and the web panel length, the web height, the web thickness, the flange width, the flange thickness, the applied load length, the web yield strength, and the flange yield strength of steel plate girders. Accordingly, the best DANN model was chosen based on three performance indices, which included the R^2, RMSE, and a20-index. The IP algorithm was then adopted to optimize the weights and biases of the DANN model in order to establish the hybrid DANN-IP model. The results obtained from the proposed DANN-IP model were compared with of the results from the DANN model and the existing empirical formulas. The comparison showed that the proposed DANN-IP model achieved the best accuracy with an R^2 of 0.996, an RMSE of 23.260 kN, and an a20-index of 0.891. Finally, a Graphical User Interface (GUI) tool was developed in order to effectively use the proposed DANN-IP model for practical applications.
Water quality monitoring network data is being affected continuously due to non-point source pollution arising from agricultural land located on the Gwangsancheon outlet in the Nakdong River basin. In this study, we have performed analysis of water quality monitoring system, water quality pattern using SOM and water quality in the Gwangsancheon for sub-basin located at Gisan-myeon in the Nakdong River basin. We have developed and applied the model to estimate the runoff and non-point source loading. As a result of SOM pattern, the effect of non-point source pollution was the largest in the paddy fields and fields. As a result of the developed model, we found contribution rate and reduction rate for non-point source loading according to change of landuse because the reduction effect of nonpoint pollutants was 20.9% of SS, 9.9% of TN, 21.2% of TP and 8.9% of TOC depending on the landuse change.

Computer simulations of the mechanical behavior of 3 point bend specimens with a quarter notch under impact load are performed. This validity is found to be identified by the experimental proof. The cases with various loading rates applied at the side of the specimen are considered. An elastoplastic von Mises material model is chosen. Gap opening displacement, reaction force, crack tip opening displacement and strain rate are also compared with rate dependent material(visco-plastic material). The stability during various dynamic load can be seen by using the simulation of this study. These differences of the cases with various loading rates are also investigated.

A relatively simple prediction method is proposed for initially semicircular surface crack growth under axial loading. The method takes into account the difference in surface crack closure behavior at the depth point and at the surface intersection point, and also the relationship of crack closure for surface crack and through-thickness crack. The prediction method provides conservative estimation for fatigue life within factor of two, and the predicted crack geometry variations agree well with the observed results. As a result, the prediction method proposed here is considered to be useful for engineering application.

Recently, research on the lateral resistance of pile foundations has been actively conducted. In experimental studies on the lateral resistance of pile foundations, displacement control or load control methods are used. However, in the case of the displacement control method, the lateral resistance of the pile varies depending on the rate of the load applied to the pile. Therefore, this study seeks to determine the change in lateral resistance of pile foundations according to lateral loading rate through model experiments. The experimental results showed that the lateral resistance of the pile tended to decrease as the lateral loading rate applied to the pile head increased. In order to confirm this, a model experiment of the side change of the ground and pile according to the loading rate was additionally conducted. Through inverse analysis, the change in the depth of the rotation point according to the lateral loading rate was identified. Through the change in the lateral resistance of the pile foundation and the depth of the rotating point according to the lateral loading rate, it was proposed to test the loading rate within 1.5 mm/min during the lateral loading test of the pile.
This paper presents the flexural performance of double skin composite beams (DSCBs) at different Arctic low temperatures. 12 DSCBs were prepared and tested under two-point loading at different Arctic low temperatures of 20, -30, -50, and -70℃. The studied parameters include low-temperature level (T), steel-faceplate thickness (t), shear span ratio (λ), and spacing of headed studs (S). The experimental investigations under two-point loading tests showed that flexural failure occurred to all DSCBs, even including the specimen designed with the small λ ratio of 2.9. The ultimate strength behaviours of DSCBs were improved due to the improved mechanical properties of constructional materials and the confinement on shear connectors. The DSCB subjected to two-point loading and low temperatures exhibits a five-stage working mechanism. The stiffness and strength indexes of DSCBs increase linearly with temperature and t value increasing, while decreasing as shear span ratio boosts. In the contrast, the change of S value from 150 to 200 mm has little effect on the ultimate strength behavior of DSCB.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the stress patterns developed in supporting structures by removable partial denture with attachment retainers. The attachments tested were Dalbo(miniature) attachment, resilient Ceka attachment, rigid Ceka attachment, precision and sleeve attachment, and R.P.I. clasp as a contrast. 3-dimensional photoelastic stress analysis was used to record the isochromatic and isoclinic fringe patterns and to calculate principal stress components at measuring points. The results showed that: 1. The maximum compressive stress on residual ridge was produced under the loading point with Dalbo and resilient Ceka attachment, distal to the loading point with rigid Ceka and precision and sleeve attachment, and mesial to the loading point with R.P.I. clasp. 2. The Dalbo attachment produced the most stress on residual ridge, and the least stress on abutment teeth. and resilient Ceka attachment showed favorable stress distribution. 3. Rigid Ceka attachment produced higher compressive stress on buccal. alveolar crest, and precision and sleeve attachment produced higher compressive stress on distal alvelolar crest and mesial surface of the root apex in abutment teeth. 4. R.P.I. clasp produced higher compressive stress on mesial alveolar crest.
A nonlinear Finite Element (FE) algorithm is proposed to analyze the Reinforced Concrete (RC) columns subjected to Cyclic Loading (CL), Cyclic Oriented Lateral Force and Axial Loading (COLFAL), Monotonic Loading (ML) or Oriented Pushover Force and Axial Loading (OPFAL) in any direction. In the proposed algorithm, the following parameters are considered: uniaxial behavior of concrete and steel elements, the pseudo-plastic hinge produced in the critical sections, and global behavior of RC columns. In the proposed numerical simulation, the column is discretized into two Macro-Elements (ME) located between the pseudo-plastic hinges at critical sections and the inflection point. The critical sections are discretized into Fixed Rectangular Finite Elements (FRFE) in general cases of CL, COLFAL or ML and are discretized into Variable Oblique Finite Elements (VOFE) in the particular cases of ML or OPFAL. For pushover particular case, a fairly fast converging and properly accurate nonlinear simulation method is proposed to assess the behavior of RC columns. The proposed algorithm has been validated by the results of tests carried out on full-scale RC columns.
In this paper, an analytical method is proposed to find the dimensions of impact stresses with using the dimensions of impact loading parameter regardless of mass of impactor, velocity of impactor, and plate thickness. In analytical method of Impulsive stresses, the three-dimensional dynamic theory of elasticity using rectangular coordinates and the potential theory of displacement are utilized, and when the measurement of Impact loading is difficult especially for a steel ball colliding on an infinite plate, the impact loading can be obtained by using the classical plate theory and Hertz’s contact theory. And in the numerical analysis, the fast Fourier transform (F. F. T.) algorithm and the numerical inverse Laplace transformation are used because the analysis of impact loading Is difficult to obtain solutions by using the thress-dimensional dynamic theory of elasticity.
