This paper presents the two lossless auxiliary inductors-assisted voltage source type half bridge (single ended push pull: SEPP) series resonant high frequency inverter for induction heated fixing roller in copy and printing machines. The simple high-frequency inverter treated here can completely achieve stable zero current soft switching (ZCS) commutation for wide its output power regulation ranges and load variations under its constant high frequency pulse density modulation (PDM) scheme. Its transient and steady state operating principle is originally described and discussed for a constant high-frequency PDM control strategy under a stable ZCS operation commutation, together with its output effective power regulation characteristics-based on the high frequency PDM strategy. The experimental operating performances of this voltage source SEPP ZCS-PDM series resonant high frequency inverter using IGBTs are illustrated as compared with computer simulation results and experimental ones. Its power losses analysis and actual efficiency are evaluated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results. The feasible effectiveness of this high frequency inverter appliance implemented here is proved from the practical point of view.

This paper demonstrates a systematic approach for the design of broadband, high efficiency, high power, Class-AB RF amplifiers with high gain flatness. It is usually difficult to simultaneously achieve a high gain flatness and high efficiency in a broadband RF power amplifier, especially in a high power design. As a result, the use of a computer-aided simulation is most often the best way to achieve these goals; however, an appropriate initial value and a systematic approach are necessary for the simulation results to rapidly converge. These objectives can be accomplished with a minimum of trial and error through the following techniques. First, signal gain variations are reduced over a wide bandwidth using a proper pre-matching network. Then, the source and load impedances are satisfactorily obtained from small-signal and load-pull simulations, respectively. Finally, two high-order Chebyshev low-pass filters are employed to provide optimum input and output impedance matching networks over a bandwidth of 100 MHz-500 MHz. By using an EM simulation for the substrate, the simulation results were observed to be in close agreement with the measured results.
Finite element analysis was undertaken to investigate the effect of freezing force of water unexpectedly penetrated into inserts used in railway sleeper on pullout capacity of anchor bolts for fixing base-plate onto concrete sleeper. Based on the in-situ investigation and measurement of geometry of railway sleeper and rail-fastener, the railway sleeper was modeled by 3D solid elements. Nonlinear and fracture properties for the finite element model were assumed according to CEB-FIP 1990 model code. And the pullout maximum load of anchor bolt obtained from the model developed was compared with experimental pullout maximum load presented by KRRI for verification of the model. Using this model, the effect of position of anchor bolt, amount of fastening force applied to the anchor bolt, and compressive strength of concrete on pull-out capacity of anchor bolts installed in railway sleeper was investigated. As a result, it is found that concrete railway sleepers could be damaged by the pressure due to freezing of water penetrated into inserts. And the pullout capacity of anchor bolt close to center of railway is slightly greater than that of the others.

The fatigue behavior of GFRP composites is affected by environmental parameters. Therefore, we have to study on effect of sea water on fatigue behavior of GFRP composites as to maintain the safety and confidence in design of ocean structure of GFRP. In this paper, we investigated the fatigue properties of chopped strand glass mat/polyester composite in synthetic sea water. (pH 8.2) In case of the glass fiber (CSM type) reinforced polyester composite materials, the fatigue crack in the both dry and wet specimens tested in air or synthetic sea water occurred at the initial of cycle. Thereafter, it was divided with two regions that one decreased with the crack extension and the other increased with the crack extension. The transition point occurred during the crack propagation shifted to high ${\Delta}K$ value as load increase but its point is not changed regardless of immersion or test environment under a constant load. The synthetic sea water degrades the bond strength between fiber and matrix, thereby the tendency of rapid deceleration and acceleration of the crack growth was appeared.

This paper proposes a Push type High Frequency DC-DC Converter using Zero Voltage Switching to reduce turn on and off loss at the switching instants. This paper has a advantage which is able to operating safely in load short, because DC reactor is connected with resonance reactor in order to supply a fixed safely in load short, because DC reactor is connected with resonance reactor in order to supply a fixed current with low ripple from DC power supply. The capacitor $(C_1, C_2)$ connected in switch are a common using as resonance capacitor and ZVS capacitor. The analysis of the proposed high frequency resonance DC-DC converter is generally described by using normallized parameter, and we has evaluated characteristic values which is needed to design a circuit. We conform a rightfulness of theoritical analysis by comparing a theoretical values and experimental values obtained from experiment using MOSFET as switching devices.

The purpose of this review is to name and describe the important factors of musculoskeletal strain originating from pushing and pulling tasks such as cart handling that are commonly found in industrial contexts. A literature database search was performed using the research platform Web of Science. For a study to be included in this review differences in measured or calculated strain had to be investigated with regard to: (1) cart weight/ load; (2) handle position and design; (3) exerted forces; (4) handling task (push and pull); or (5) task experience. Thirteen studies met the inclusion criteria and proved to be of adequate methodological quality by the standards of the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. External load or cart weight proved to be the most influential factor of strain. The ideal handle positions ranged from hip to shoulder height and were dependent on the strain factor that was focused on as well as the handling task. Furthermore, task experience and subsequently handling technique were also key to reducing strain. Workplace settings that regularly involve pushing and pulling should be checked for potential improvements with regards to lower weight of the loaded handling device, handle design, and good practice guidelines to further reduce musculoskeletal disease prevalence.

In this paper, a high conversion gain cascode mixer was designed in W-band and verified by the fabrication and measurements. In the high frequency band such as a W-band, the conversion loss of a mixer is increased because of the poor performance of transistors. This high conversion loss of the mixer requires additional circuits which can give an extra gain such as an RF buffer amplifier, and this can affects the linearity and stability of the overall systems. Therefore, it is necessary to maximize the conversion gain of the mixer. To maximize the conversion gain of the mixer, biases of the transistor were optimized, and output load impedance was optimized by the load-pull simulations. The designed mixer was fabricated in $0.1-{\mu}m$ GaAs pHEMT technology and verified by the measurements. The measurement results shows a maximum conversion gain of -4.7 dB at W-band and an input 1-dB compression point of 2.5 dBm.
Oriented strand board (OSB) distributed in Korea was collected, and its mechanical properties were investigated according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Japanese Industrial Standards, and Korean Design Standard. Ten types of OSBs were collected, including six types for walls and others for floors. The thickness swelling, moisture content, and density of each product satisfied the ISO standards. All products showed lower formaldehyde emission values than those of the SE0 grade. The internal bonding strengths of all products, except products B, H, and I, met the ISO standards. However, products A, B, C, F, and H did not satisfy the thickness swelling standard of the load-bearing OSB for use in dry conditions. Products D and G showed heavy duty load-bearing OSB for use in humid conditions in terms of internal bonding and bending strength after boiling. In the nail head pull-through force and lateral nail resistance tests, all products met the standards. In terms of the structural bending performance (four points), the six types of OSBs for walls satisfied the standard for bending strength and modulus of elasticity. All the products for flooring met the standard for bending strength but, except for product G, the products did not meet the standard for modulus of elasticity. Although the results of this study cannot represent the performance of all imported OSBs, considering the above results, the water resistance performance of seven types of OSB products did not meet the standard, and 10 types of products did not match the labeling grades.
This study analyzes the thermal effects on the performance of an air foil thrust bearing (AFTB) using COMSOL Multiphysics to approximate actual bearing behavior under real conditions. An AFTB is a sliding-thrust bearing that uses air as a lubricant to support the axial load. The AFTB consists of top and bump foils and supports the rotating disk through the hydrodynamic pressure generated by the wedge effect from the inclined surface of the top foil and the elastic deformation of the bump foils, similar to a spring. The use of air as a lubricant has some advantages such as low friction loss and less heat generation, enabling air bearings to be widely used in high-speed rotating systems. However, even in AFTB, the effects of energy loss due to viscosity at high speeds, interface frictional heat, and thermal deformation of the foil caused by temperature increase cannot be ignored. Foil deformation derived from the thermal effect influences the minimum decay in film thickness and enhances the film pressure. For these reasons, performance analyses of isothermal AFTBs have shown few discrepancies with real bearing behavior. To account for this phenomenon, a thermal-fluid-structure analysis is conducted to describe the combined mechanics. Results show that the load capacity under the thermal effect is slightly higher than that obtained from isothermal analysis. In addition, the push and pull effects on the top foil and bump foil-free edges can be simulated. The differences between the isothermal and thermal behaviors are discussed.

This paper presents the design and optimization of output matching network according to envelope for class F power amplifier(PA) which is to apply to envelope elimination and restoration(EER) transmitter. In this paper, to increase the PAE of class F power amplifier which applies to EER transmitter, the varactor diode has been used on output matching network. As envelope changes, it optimizes constitution of harmonic trap that is short circuit in 2nd-harmonic and is open circuit in 3rd-harmonic. When drain voltage changes from 25 V to 30 V, some percentage is improved in the PAE.put the abstract of paper here.
