In recent years, various policies have been conducted for the activation of the value chain for 6th industrialization of agriculture, which is aligned with creating job opportunities and start-up as well as value added enhancement. For this reason, this study seeks measures to kick-start application and development of a model to raise the success rate of startups and reduce the risk of market throughout surveying 168 6th industrialization management bodies about their start-up and business, and benchmarking of best practices, a case consistent with the value chain system of 6th industrialization of agriculture. Main findings are three-folds: First, it is necessary to raise the success rate of startups by means of the compatibility of the capital scale, low cost and life cycle of ideas. Second, the living lab for sharing ideas and collaboration is needed in the value chain system. Third, the living lab model is promoting rural community development and farm household income.
This study introduces an engineering design class which is experimental in a sense that it is planned and implemented with three key concepts such as learner-centered education, living lab and community based learning. With the class run in being connected with one regional community in Seoul, it focuses on its educational effects acquired through the living lab-based approach. And this research investigates the student's experiences of when, what and how they learn in a learner-centered class. It shows that, rather than taking professor's one dimensional lectures in classroom, the students learn actively when they face with the problem in the field. Students have come to carry out engineering design from the perspective of stakeholders, not from the supplier or producer's perspective in the process of meeting with the problem in reality. Team based collaborative activities are crucial in the entire design process. More importantly, students' design products have been transformed into more useful and meaningful ones as stakeholders of the local community have participated into the students' works. However, we need to recognize that there are some important issues that need to be solved institutionally and systematically in order for such educations to spread. This study suggests several educational arrangements for those issues.
Recently, the daily life safety detection functionalities such as fall accident detection and burn danger detection are widely disseminated along with the development of IoT and smart home. These safety detection functionalities are mostly performed by artificial intelligence. However, simple accuracy measurement of the safety detection in laboratory environment is often far from practical performance in daily life environment. To mitigate this problem, this paper introduces two techniques, i.e. living lab and confusion matrix. Living lab is more than simple simulation of daily life environment, and it enables users to directly participate technology development and product design. Various performance measures induced from confusion matrix significantly help to evaluate the performance of artificial intelligence system for proper application purposes.
To drive motor or heating machine, it needs the electric power system like the apparatus of inverter. This electric power system obviously comprises power switching devices and drivers to run them. And this system has the topology comprised one/many arm(s), - each arm has high side switching device and low side switching device. Transformer, photocoupler, and HVIC having functions of isolation and level shift which are important thing to drive high side switching device are used as component of drivers in conventional apparatus. Piezoelectric transformers are proposed in this paper, and applied to drive high side swiching device. Through experiments, the possiblities of driving high side switching device are presented and the problems are mooted concurrently. But, we also consider a counterplan for solving the mooted trouble issues.

A smart home system improves the elderly's quality of life by monitoring and analyzing their movements and health conditions with better health-care and social support services. Therefore, there has been an effort to adopt a smart home system for the independently living elderly. However, to the best of our knowledge, no study has investigated the usability of a smart home system on actual independently living elderly housing in long-term settings. Thus, this study aims to demonstrate the usability of a smart home system on independently living elders in living lab conditions. The BLE smart band and the BLE receiver were chosen for the smart home system to monitor the movement of the participants in their homes as well as to monitor the heart rates, step counts, sleep index. Nine independent living elderly from the senior welfare center in Kimjae participated in this living lab demonstration experiment for ten months. This demonstration experiment confirmed the effectiveness of low-cost and easily adoptable IoT-based BLE sensor sets on independent living elders and discussed the troubles and limitations of the experiment. By grasping the pros and cons of IoT-based BLE sensor sets, this study seeks to improve the accessibility and usability of smart home systems for the elderly population in independent living arrangements.

Traffic safety issues have recently been seriously magnified, due to child deaths in apartment complexes and parking lots. Accordingly, traffic safety technologies are being developed to recognize dangerous situations on living roads and to provide warning services. In this study, a collision detection algorithm was developed to prevent collision accidents between moving objects, by using object type and location information provided from CCTV monitoring devices. To determine the exact collision between moving objects, an object movement model was developed to predict the range of movement by considering the moving characteristics of the object, and a collision detection algorithm was developed to efficiently analyze the presence and location of the collision. The developed object movement model as well as the collision detection algorithm were simulated, in a virtual space of an actual living road to verify performance and derive supplementary matters.

In South Korea, it has been increased the necessity of supplying housing services to meet the needs and desires of various residents by reflecting various demographic and social changes. In particular, various smart device has been widely utilized in South Korea and the smart technologies, such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things has been developed rapidly. These smart technologies could support smart housing that allows residents to easily and comfortably employ residential services. However, it is necessary to improve the awareness of users in order to spread the smart housing residential services connected to smart technologies. For this reason, this study observed changes in users' perceptions of smart housing residential service technology using Living Lab. As a result, after experiencing the Living Lab, users' awareness of smart housing housing service increased, and it was observed that the preferred housing service technology was more detailed than before the Living Lab experience. This study shows that it is important to raise users' awareness for the dissemination of smart housing residential service technology, and that Living Lab can be an effective means for this purpose.

Smart City is the regional innovation platform that actively utilizes information and communication technologies to diversify city services and improve the performance and quality, hence improving the quality of life and creating new trends of urban activities. Recently, the importance of citizen participation is increasingly emphasized to build smart cities successfully and the Living Lab, an open innovation platform led by users, is taking center stage as a means of realizing it. Accordingly, this study aims to establish the plans for popularizing living labs that provide innovative environments for domestic smart cities. To this end, first of all, political trends related to domestic smart cities' living labs were analyzed, and then, individual characteristics and development processes of the relevant cases were investigated. In addition, in-depth interviews were conducted with the experts of specialized agencies from Netherlands, Finland, and Denmark, etc. which are considered as leading countries in smart cities' living labs. As a result, in order to popularize living labs in domestic smart cities, the following policies were proposed; establishing support systems for commercialization and dissemination, building intermediary support organizations, improvement of laws and institutions, establishing the joint response systems with neighboring areas, etc.
This paper identifies the aspects of living environment elements (PM2.5, PM10, Noise) throughout Seoul and the urban characteristics that affect them by utilizing the big data of the S-Dot sensors in Seoul, which has recently become a hot topic. In other words, it proposes a big data based urban computing research methodology and research direction to confirm the relationship between urban characteristics and living environments that directly affect citizens. The temporal range is from 2020 to 2021, which is the available range of time series data for S-Dot sensors, and the spatial range is throughout Seoul by 500mX500m GRID. First of all, as part of analyzing specific living environment patterns, simple trends through EDA are identified, and cluster analysis is conducted based on the trends. After that, in order to derive specific urban planning factors of each cluster, basic statistical analysis such as ANOVA, OLS and MNL analysis were conducted to confirm more specific characteristics. As a result of this study, cluster patterns of environment elements(PM2.5, PM10, Noise) and urban factors that affect them are identified, and there are areas with relatively high or low long-term living environment values compared to other regions. The results of this study are believed to be a reference for urban planning management measures for vulnerable areas of living environment, and it is expected to be an exploratory study that can provide directions to urban computing field, especially related to environmental data in the future.
