이온성 액체를 이용한 생물분자의 추출 (Extraction of Biomolcules by Ionic Liquids)

  • As an effective separation method for biomolecules, aqueous two-phase systems based on ionic liquids were suggested. Hydrophobic ionic liquids are more expensive and viscous in spite of their usage in the ionic liquid/water biphasic extraction compared with hydrophilic ionic liquids. In case of aqueous two-phase systems using hydrophilic ionic liquids, they can be diluted in aqueous phase. Experimental results show that aqueous two phase systems can be formed by adding appropriate amount of ionic liquids to aqueous salts solutions. The viscosity of ionic liquid aqueous phase is proportional to the cation chain length in ionic liquids. It is founded that the ionic liquid based aqueous two phase systems are effective for the separation of biomolecules such as acrylic acid.

Retention Factors and Resolutions of Amino Benzoic Acid Isomers with Some Ionic Liquids

  • Ionic liquids in the form of organic salts are being widely used as new solvent media. In this paper three positional isomers, o-amino benzoic acid, m-amino benzoic acid, and p-amino benzoic acids were separated with four different ionic liquids as mobile phase additives using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The following ionic liquids were used: 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([BMIm][$BF_{4}$]), 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([EMIm][$BF_{4}$]), 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium methylsulfate ([EMIm][MS]), and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium methylsulfate ([OMIm][MS]). The effects of the alkyl group length on the imidazolium ring and its counterion, and the concentrations of the ionic liquids on the retention factors and resolutions of amino benzoic acid isomers were tested. The results of the separations with ionic liquids as the eluents were better than those without ionic liquids. Excellent separations of the three isomers were achieved using 2.0-8.0 mM/L [OMIm][MS] and 1.0-8.0 mM/L [EMIm][MS] as the eluent modifiers.

  • Complex permittivities of reference liquids were measured by a liquid holder of slotted coaxial line with a movable probe at mobile communication frequencies. The validity of the liquid measurement system was checked by experimental tests with the reference liquids proposed in IEEE Std. 1528-200X or IEC 106/61/CDV.

친수성 이온성 액체를 이용한 수상이성분계에서의 아크릴산 추출 평형 (Extraction Equilibrium of Acrylic Acid by Aqueous Two-Phase Systems Using Hydrophilic Ionic Liquids)

  • 본 연구에서는 아크릴산 추출을 위한 효과적인 분리공정으로서 모폴린계 이온성 액체/$K_2HPO_4$에 의한 수상이성분계를 적용하여 수상이성분계 형성 특성 및 아크릴산 추출 효율에 대한 모폴린계 이온성 액체의 양이온 알킬사슬 길이의 영향을 고찰하였다. 실험 결과 $K_2HPO_4$ 수용액에 적정량의 모폴린계 이온성 액체를 첨가함에 따라 안정한 수상이성분계가 형성됨을 확인할 수 있었으며 이성분계 형성능력은 [HMMor][Br]>[OMMor][Br]>[BMMor][Br]> [EMMor][Br]의 순서로 나타났다. $K_2HPO_4$ 수용액을 기준으로 모폴린계 이온성 액체의 수상이성분계 형성 능력은 기존의 이미다졸계와 큰 차이가 없었으며 친수성알콜/$K_2HPO_4$와 비교했을 경우에는 적은양으로도 수상이성분계 형성이 가능하였다. 모폴린계 이온성 액체를 이용한 수상이성분계 추출에 있어 아크릴산 추출 효율은 50~90%의 범위를 가지며 이 값들은 이미다졸계와 큰 차이가 없었다. 모폴린계 이온성 액체가 이미다졸계 이온성 액체에 비해 경제적으로 생산할 수 있으므로 모폴린계 이온성 액체와 $K_2HPO_4$로 구성된 수상이성분계는 아크릴산을 포함한 각종 생물공정에 의한 제품 분리에 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

피페리딘계 이온성 액체와 포스페이트 염으로 구성된 수상이성분계를 이용한 숙신산의 추출 (Liquid Extraction of Succinic Acid by Aqueous Two-Phase Systems Composed of Piperidinium Ionic Liquids and Phosphate Salt)

  • 본 연구에서는 숙신산 추출을 위한 효과적인 분리공정으로서 피페리딘계 이온성 액체/$K_2HPO_4$에 의한 수상이성분계를 적용하여 수상이성분계 형성 특성 및 추출특성을 고찰하였다. 실험 결과 $K_2HPO_4$ 수용액에 적정량의 피페리딘계 이온성 액체를 첨가함에 따라 안정한 수상이성분계가 형성됨을 확인할 수 있었으며 이성분계 형성능력은 이온성 액체 내 양이온의 알킬 사슬길이에 따라 증가하였다. $K_2HPO_4$ 수용액을 기준으로 피페리딘계 이온성 액체의 수상이성분계 형성 능력은 이미다졸계나 피롤리딘계에 비해 우수하였다. 피페리딘계 이온성 액체를 이용한 수상이성분계 추출에 있어 숙신산 추출 효율은 75~95%의 범위를 가지며 이 값들은 이미다졸계나 피롤리딘계와 큰 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 피페리딘계 이온성 액체를 이용한 수상이성분계를 숙신산 추출에 적용할 경우 이미다졸계 및 피롤리딘계에 비해 적은 양의 이온성 액체를 사용하여 높은 추출효율을 얻을 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

한국어 화자의 영어유음 지각 및 산출에 관한 연구 (Korean Learners′ Perception and Production of English Liquids)

  • This study investigates the Korean native speakers' English liquid perception and production. Perception and production experiments were each conducted twice before and after a short period of explicit learning process of phonetic characteristics of English liquids. The results showed that correlation between perception and production varied depending on factors. In both perception and production, word-final position was the most difficult, and cluster position was the easiest. A considerable improvement was observed in word-initial and medial positions in production, whereas no improvement was achieved in word-final position, especially in production. This study is also concerned with the formant structures of Korean native speakers' production of English liquids in order to see what acoustic features are highly correlated with Korean native speakers' production accuracy of English liquids. The results showed that F2 did not show a high correlation while F3 was a strong correlate of the production accuracy.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 가능한 프로브(probe)가 있는, 종단된 동축 슬롯 선로(Coaxial slotted line)를 샘플 液의 흘더로 사용하여, 이동 통신 단말기 의 송신 주파수帶에서의 복소 유전율을 측정할 수 있는 시스템을 제작하였으며, 이를 이용하여 IEEE Std 1528-200X에 서 제안한 기준 액체들(Reference Liquids)의 복소 유전율을 측정 비교하여 봄으로써, 측정 시스템의 타당성을 조사하였다.

Effect of Room Temperature Ionic Liquids Adsorption on Electromechanical Behavior of Cellulose Electro-Active Paper

  • The cellulose smart material called electro-active paper (EAPap) is made by regenerating cellulose. However, the actuator performance is degraded at low humidity levels. To solve this drawback, EAPap bending actuators were made by activating wet cellulose films in three different room-temperature ionic liquids: l-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexaflurophosphate ($BMIPF_6$), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (BMICL) and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluroborate ($BMIBF_4$). In the results, the actuator performance was dependent on the type of anions in the ionic liquids, in the order of $BF_4$>Cl>$PF_6$. The BMIBF 4-activated actuator showed the maximum displacement of 3.8 mm with low electrical power consumption at relatively low humidity. However, the BMICL-activated actuator showed a slight degradation of actuator performance. Further performance and durability improvement will be possible once various ionic liquids are blended with cellulose.

  • 다양한 종류의 이온성액체를 사용하여 미세중공체 이산화티타늄 입자를 제조하였다. 이온성액체의 종류에 따라 제조된 이산화티타늄 입자는 다양한 크기와 모양을 형성하였다. 이는 이온성액체와 유기용매 계면 사이에서 형성되는 이산화티타늄이 두 물질 사이의 상호작용에 의해 모양 형성에 영향을 받기 때문이다. 여러 가지 이온성액체 중에서 미세중공체를 제조하는데 있어서 가장 효과적인 이온성액체는 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate였다.

세대 간 어두 유음의 발음 양상 비교 (Comparison of the pronunciation of word-initial liquids between generations in Korean)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the different aspects of word-initial liquid sounds in Korean according to generations. Five women in their 50s and seven in their 20s participated in the experiment. We examined FL (formant of liquids) and voice sustained time by using Praat software. Three English native speakers were asked to judge the Korean speakers' recorded speech samples for marking [l] or [r] using evaluation sheet. The results of the two experiments revealed three important aspects. First, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the FL of the words 'racket' and 'ruby.' Second, we found statistically significant differences in 'rhythm', 'ruby' and 'litter' from the measurement of the duration of the acoustic data. Third, there was no difference in pronunciation between the two groups according to the phonemes of the original language. The results of this study showed that it is difficult to say that the duration of word-initial liquids and the phoneme difference of the original language are indicators to distinguish the word-initial liquids between generations. Also, it was seen that the pronunciation of Korean word-initial liquid sounds varied across generations.
