Linux cluster Server makes a high performance PC cluster system, and provides scalablity and availability as compared with an expensive single server. In this paper, we design and implement a VOD streaming service system to serve video and audio streaming services on the Linux cluster server. Our Streaming server supports the MS Window Media Format based on the RTSP streaming protocol.

리눅스 서버는 웹, FTP, SSH등 여러 가지 서비스를 제공한다. 이러한 서비스를 받는 사용자들이 이것을 이용하여 해킹을 시도하고 있다. 그렇기 때문에 서버 보안에 대한 대책이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 다중의 리눅스 서버의 대한 각 종 서비스 로그를 분석하여 리눅스 기반이 아닌 윈도우즈 기반에서 다중 리눅스 서버 시스템을 모니터링 및 제어할 수 있는 솔루션을 개발하였다.

An implementation scheme and some improvements are proposed to adopt public-licensed operating system, Linux and de-facto world-wide network standard, TCP/IP into the field of behavior-based autonomous mobile robots. To demonstrate the needs of scheme and the improvement, an analysis is performed on a server/client communication problem with real time Linux previously proposed, and another analysis is also performed on interactions among TCP/IP communications and the performance of Linux system using them. Implementation of behavior-based control architecture on real time Linux is proposed firstly. Revised task-scheduling schemes are proposed that can enhance the performance of server/client communication among local tasks on a Linux platform. A new method of TCP/IP packet flow handling is proposed that prioritizes TCP/IP software interrupts with aperiodic server mechanism as well. To evaluate the implementation scheme and the proposed improvements, performance enhancements are shown through some simulations.

Recently, supporting ATM networks under LINUX operating systems environment has been actively studied. An ATMARP server in a conventional LINUX environment was designed under the ATMARP single-server to operate independently within a Local IP Subnet(LIS). In this paper, an ATMARP multi-server is introduced and implemented an ATMARP-server managing multiple LIS's on the LINUX-based IPOA. The ATMARP protocol processing functions and addition/deletion functions on management tables are required to implement the ATMARP multi-server. These functions can solve the problem of increasing the number of ATMARP servers in ATMARP single-server environment. The file transmission experiment with a connection configuration between LIS's shows that multiple LIS' con be managed by an ATMARP-server. As the results, the ATMARP multi-server scheme yields a smaller number of servers than that of the conventional ATMARP single-server scheme, and the network composition can be improved substantially.

최근 에너지 소비의 지속적 증가 및 에너지 가격의 급격한 상승으로 그린 IT 도입 운영이 필수적인 요소로 인식됨에 따라 서버 발열 및 데이터센터 에너지 절감을 위해 IT 인프라는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 플랫폼으로 대체 되어가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반 저비용 웹서비스 인프라를 오픈소스 기반 클라우드 플랫폼으로 변환하고 Linux Virtual Server 로드 밸런싱을 구현하여 그 성능을 분석하였다.

The Embedded Linux System has been developed as a system which can be used with a processor of low efficiency and small-sized memory. Unlike the usual Linux and Windows web server, it has some limitations in the install of application programs, compatibility and scalability when transferring data through web server in real-time. In this paper, we present a real-time remote monitoring system which is very useful to the embedded linux system. The presented system use Java Script without the additional programs at the Embedded Linux System web server and confirm the efficiency of the system through the existing real-time remote monitoring techniques.

The web server for the embedded Linux system(ELS), unlike the ones for the usual Linux or Windows, has some disadvantages such as small number of installable applications, low compatibility and limited extensibility. This fact raises some problems when data are transferred in real-time via the web server, which are mainly caused by a poor performance of the processor and small-sized memory. Conventional user interfaces adopted for the usual web servers are unsuitable for the ELS because they are platform-limited and their installations are done by the form of plug-ins. If the web server for the ELS has an Ajax engine that can be utilized without any installation procedure, the advantages of usability, accessibility and quick response time can be obtained. This paper presents the Ajax interface for the ELS web server. The efficiency of the proposed technology in the real-time remote monitoring is shown through an implementation.

기존 사무 환경에서 개인 PC를 이용하여 네트워크를 통해 프린터를 공유하는 경우 프린터와 직접 연결된 PC에 상당한 과부하가 발생한다. 프린터에 직접 연결된 PC 사용자는 개인 작업 시 이러한 과부하로 인해 불편함이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하고, 사무실 구성원들이 네트워크를 통해 원할 한 프린터 작업을 수행할 수 있도록 프린터 서버 역할을 수행 하는 Embedded Linux 기반의 Embedded Printer System을 구현 하였으며, 실제 환경에서 실험을 거쳐 성능을 검증하였다.

본 논문은 안드로이드 시스템 환경에서 리눅스 서버 시스템을 통하여 실시간으로 동영상을 스트리밍 서비스하는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 연구에서 개발한 어플리케이션으로 동영상을 촬영함과 동시에 스트림 데이터를 생성하고, 이 데이터를 Apache Tomcat 서버의 MultipartRequest 클래스를 이용하여 리눅스 서버로 전송하는 기능을 구현하였다. 또한, 안드로이드의 비디오 플레이어와 미디어 플레이어 클래스를 이용하여 실시간으로 동영상 스트림 데이터를 비디오 플레이어에서 재생하는 방식과 캐시(cache)에 스트림 데이터를 저장함과 동시에 미디어 플레이어를 이용하여 재생을 하는 방법을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템 구조와 어플리케이션이 설계된 실험 과정을 통한 실험의 결과, 모두 정상적으로 동작이 된다는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.

인터넷으로 3차원 지도 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 먼저 웹 서버가 고려되어져야 하지만, 일반적으로, 어플리케이션의 소스코드는 비공개적이며 소스 기술에 대한 접근이 어려우므로 기술개발에 많은 한계가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해, 공개된 소스 체제인 Linux운영체제를 도입하였고, 웹 브라우저에서 3차원 공간데이터 실행이 가능한 VRLR을 활용하여 인터넷 3차원 지도 서버를 구축였다. 그 결과, 하드웨어 구입이외의 비용은 들지 않아 경제적이었으며, 개방된 소스를 이용하므로 능동적인 유지관리가 이루어 질 수 있었다.
