A Common Platform for An Internal-Based Mobile Robot and Its Operator Terminal (인터넷 기반의 이동 로봇과 조종 단말기를 위한 공용 플랫폼 개발)

  • This paper proposes a common platform for an internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal. The common platform can reduce the cost and time to develop an internet-based robot and its operator terminal. The robot performs the role of a server and its terminal a client. One operator can use this terminal to make a command and this command can be sent to the robot through a wireless network. According to given commands, the robot moves a point and sends an image by using a camera or desired information by using other sensors. The information sent from the robot can help an operator to control the robot. The mobile robot consists of two modules, main module and motion module. Main module can exchange information with the operator terminal, process information, and send a command to motion module. Each application program for one internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal will be developed to show that the same platform can be used for them. Also, it will be shown that the robot can be controlled easily by using its operator terminal.

  • In this paper, a VoIP (Voice on Internet Protocol) terminal system, which can process voice in real time based on Linux, is designed and implemented. The hardware of it is designed using a i486 processor and a DSP codec chip which encodes and decodes voice data in real time. As an operating system, RTLinux, which is a real-time operating system based on Linux, is ported to manage real-time voice processing. The voice processing module of the system uses G.723.1 voice codec of ITU-T standard. It transfers voice data within 30ms to assure good voice quality. In order to satisfy the real time requirements and QoS (Quality-of-Service) for the voice data, the real-time voice processing device driver is designed and implemented. To verify the system, the chatting application program is developed and tested for QoS of the system.

  • Embedded System operates hardware installed like processor, memory device, various input/output devices and software to control them. This thesis presents MPU module and Base board which are efficient industrial control through design and manufacture as developing S5PV210 CPU of SAMSUNG used by ARM Cortex-A8 based on Android which is Open mobile platform is installed to embedded system. Data for temperature and humidity which are received by CAN communication module proved the suitability and validity for the embedded platform design as implementing application program employed the native App with Linux Kernel based on the Android OS and application of HTML5.

  • SyncML is an open standard data synchronization protocol proposed by OMA(Open Mobile Alliance). In this paper, a Session Handler module, one of major modules for developing SyncML data synchronization clients, and a client User Setup program are designed and implemented. The Session Handier Module controls communication sessions, generates header parts of messages exchanged, and determines the legitimacy of incoming messages. In order to justify normal operations of the Session Handler module and the client User Setup program implemented In this paper, they are ported to a Zaurus PDA, which runs on LINUX operating system. In addition, data synchronization operations are performed between the PDA and a Synthesis sever, whose SyncML data synchronization operation is certificated by OMA, Wireless Internet International Standard Forum.

  • This paper describes the development of the sensor interface and driver program for a point of care (POC) device. The proposed pac device comprises an ARM9 embedded processor and eight-channel sensor input to measure various bio-signals. It features a user-friendly interface using a full-color TFT-LCD and touch-screen, and a bluetooth wireless communication module. The proposed device is based on the system on a programmable chip (SOPC). We use Altera's Excalibur device, which has an ARM9 and FPGA area on a chip, as a test bed for the development of interface hardware and driver software.

  • iA-Canvas is HMI program which is the industrial automation application developed based on the Java language, and can run on any OS such as Windows, UNIX, Linux. The iA-Canvas is built on object-oriented open structure and consider network functionality and user experience as a system of centralized management and distributed management. iA-Canvas is composed of several components such as Builder, IO Server, Viewer, and Web Service Module and provides a GUI control environment. This paper explains design and implementation of iA-Canvas that is a tool for development of integrated management system, and shows practical examples of integrated management system that use iA-Canvas.

  • An OS requires the device driver to control hardware IPs at application level. Development of a device driver requires specific acknowledge for target hardware and OS. In this paper, we present a system which generates a device driver together with an interface circuit. In the proposed system, an efficient device driver is generated by selecting a basic device driver skeleton, a function module code, and a header file table from the pre-constructed library and an interface circuit is constructed such that the generated device driver operates correctly. The proposed system is evaluated by generating a TFT-LCD device driver on the ARM922T core with 3.5 inch Samsung TFT-LCD in ARM-Linux environment. Experiment result shows that the writing time on the LCD is decreased by 1.12% and the compiled code size is increased by 0.17% compared to the manually generated one. The automatically generated device driver has no performance degradation in the latency of hardware control at the application program level. The system development time can be reduced using the proposed device driver generation system.

  • This study is to investigate cardiotonic effect of acupuncture on heart rate variability(HRV) analyzed by a nonlinear way(DFA, Detrended Fluctuation Analysis). It was designed as a randomized, single-blind, waiting list-controlled, cross-over study. We assessed heart rate and R-R intervals in Circadian electrocardiography with a Holter monitoring device for twelve hospitalized participants. The compatible analytical program, Zymed, was used for generating the signals of R-R intervals from 24 hour-ECG. In DFA analysis, we produced DFA alpha 1, alpha 2 parameters according to the process of Cygwin module of Linux server. We tested if there was any difference between HRV parameters using SPSS, a statistical package. There was no difference between acupuncture and no treatment group in DFA alpha 2 parameter {95% Confidence Interval (-)0.058 - 0.037, P = .565}. Two group all showed large intra-individual variations. Consequently, acupuncture treatment did not modulate the complexity of HRV in a DFA analysis. This study can be a rationale for acupuncture's properties on cardiovascular and autonomic systems.

  • In a Linux system, a user with malicious intent can acquire administrator privileges through attack types that execute shells, and can leak important user information and install backdoor program. In order to solve this problem, the existing method is to analyze the causes of the elevation of privilege, fix the problems, and then patch the system. Recently, a method of detecting an illegal elevated tasks in which information inconsistency occurs through user credentials in real time has been studied. However, since this credential method uses uid and gid, illegal elevated tasks having the root credentials may not be detected. In this paper, we propose a security module that stores shell commands and paths executed with regular privileges in a table and compares them with every file accesses (open, close, read, write) that are executed to solve the case which cannot detect illegal elevated tasks have same credential.
