  • ePosition is a technology that can provide the spacial position of the earth to the information of ePosition ID through the Internet. It is serving the information of land location based on the Internet using the ePosition technology now, but it needs the service technique which can supply the marine data and the information of maritime position. Moreover, to support the information service of marine position, it needs the ENC linked technique based on S-57 that is an IHO transfer standard for digital hydrographic data. In this paper, therefore, it develops a linkage method for applying and utilizing the ePosition technology to ENC data, and supplements the base technology for applying it to marine related fields. As study method, firstly, this paper analyses ENC data model and structure, and converses for processing ENC file to ePosition data. Lastly, it derives the interconnection method with ePosition database and shows the ePosition service application based on the linked data and its validity.

  • Twelve patients of localized juvenile periodontitis were evaluated to detection of serum IgG and IgM antibodies to Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans Y4 strain. Sera were isolated from those patients. Antibody titer of patients sera to Aa stran Y4 strain. Sera were isolated from those patients. Antibody titer of patients sera to Aa stran Y4 were determined by modified enzyme-linked immunosorbent assey (ELISA) using sonicated and formalin-fixed whole Aa y4 strain for detection of serum IgG and IgM antibody titers. To compare with health control and L.J.P., we used 12 healthy dental student who did not exhibited any gingivits. Results were determined by using ELISA reader at 400mm absorbance value. Data analysis were performed with comparison of the regression functions relating absorbance to dilution and Dunnett t-test. Significant high antibody titer to As Y4 in L.J.P. sera were shown in this examination(281. 4 Eu-G to 162.80 Eu-G, 106.0 Eu-M to 40.0 Eu-M for sonicated As Y4 antigen and 653.960. to 138.117 Eu-M for intact As Y4) and this data were also statistically significant (P<0.05). • New Zealand suffers from regular floods, these being the most common source of insurance claims for damage from natural hazard events in the country. This paper describes the origin and distribution of the largest floods in New Zealand, and describes the systems used to monitor and predict floods. In New Zealand, broad-scale heavy rainfall (and flooding), is the result of warm moist air flowing out from the tropics into the mid-latitudes. There is no monsoon in New Zealand. The terrain has a substantial influence on the distribution of rainfall, with the largest annual totals occurring near the South Island's Southern Alps, the highest mountains in the country. The orographic effect here is extreme, with 3km of elevation gained over a 20km distance from the coast. Across New Zealand, short duration high intensity rainfall from thunderstorms also causes flooding in urban areas and small catchments. Forecasts of severe weather are provided by the New Zealand MetService, a Government owned company. MetService uses global weather models and a number of limited-area weather models to provide warnings and data streams of predicted rainfall to local Councils. Flood monitoring, prediction and warning are carried out by 16 local Councils. All Councils collect their own rainfall and river flow data, and a variety of prediction methods are utilized. These range from experienced staff making intuitive decisions based on previous effects of heavy rain, to hydrological models linked to outputs from MetService weather prediction models. No operational hydrological models are linked to weather radar in New Zealand. Councils provide warnings to Civil Defence Emergency Management, and also directly to farmers and other occupiers of flood prone areas. Warnings are distributed by email, text message and automated voice systems. A nation-wide hydrological model is also operated by NIWA, a Government-owned research institute. It is linked to a single high resolution weather model which runs on a super computer. The NIWA model does not provide public forecasts. The rivers with the greatest flood flows are shown, and these are ranked in terms of peak specific discharge. It can be seen that of the largest floods occur on the West Coast of the South Island, and the greatest flows per unit area are also found in this location.

  • Silver barb (Barbonymus gonionotus) is among the most economically important freshwater fish species in Thailand. It ranks fourth in economic value and third in production weight for fisheries and culture in Thailand. An XX/XY sex-determination system based on gynogenesis was previously reported for this fish. In this study, the molecular basis underlying the sex-determination system was further investigated. Genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphism data were generated for 32 captive-bred silver barb individuals, previously scored by phenotypic sex, to identify sex-linked regions associated with sex determination. Sixty-three male-linked loci, indicating putative XY chromosomes, were identified. Male-specific loci were not observed, which indicates that the putative Y chromosome is young and the sex determination region is cryptic. A homology search revealed that most male-linked loci were homologous to the Mariner/Tc1 and Gypsy transposable elements and are probably the remnants of an initial accumulation of repeats on the Y chromosome from the early stages of sex chromosome differentiation. This research provides convincing insights into the mechanism of sex determination and reveals the potential sex determination regions in silver barb. The study provides the basic data necessary for increasing the commercial value of silver barbs through genetic improvements.

  • The degree-linked programs for employees, operated by joint training centers in specialized universities that have implemented work-study integrated programs, are educational programs that require an annual government budget of around 80 billion KRW. However, the 70+ universities running these programs face issues such as a decline in academic achievement and an increase in dropout rates among students. In this paper, I conducted multiple regression analysis based on observed and measured information to examine whether the participating students in these programs are achieving an appropriate level of academic performance and to identify the factors that universities need to invest in to achieve that level. To do this, I hypothesized a causal relationship between the university's input factors and students' academic achievement, and used the SPSS program to analyze the statistical data, confirming the validity of the hypothesis. The collected data for the study were obtained through a survey developed using a Likert 4-point scale, which quantified the distribution of grades among students enrolled in IT-related departments offering the degree-linked programs for employees and the emotional contact efforts made by the universities to motivate them for academic success. Particularly, through the results of multiple regression analysis, it was confirmed that these input factors, unlike those for students in general education programs, require more personalized and frequent interactions.

  • In this study, GNLP(GIS linked non-linear network analysis program) for pipeline system analysis has been developed. This GNLP gets the input data for pipeline analysis from existing GIS(geographic information system) data automatically, and has GUI(graphic user interface) for user. Non-Linear Method was used for hydraulic analysis of pipe network based on Hazen-Williams equation, and Microsoft Access of relational database management system(RDBMS) was used for the framework of database applied program. GNLP system environment program was improved so that a pipe network designer can input information data for hydraulic analysis of pipeline system more easily than that of existing models. Furthermore this model generate output such as pressure and water quantities in the form of a table and a chart, and also produces output data in Excel file. This model is also able to display data effectively for analysed data confirmation and query function which is the core of GIS program.

  • The research and development on Web of Data to realize the opening and sharing of diverse, heterogonous data on the Web has been actively accomplished. As a standard data model for this effort, LOD (Linked Open Data) based on ontology has been proposed. A specialized instance generation system is vital to the development of LOD-based system effectively. This paper implements i-Manager as an appropriate environment for the development of LOD instances, considering the requirements of LOD systems and the practical development environment of the diverse application domains. i-Manager separates the instance layer from the ontology layer by way of LOD Interface Sheet (LIS) and implements the specialized functions requested in LOD instance development, such as instance edit/store, visualization and SPARQL query processing. This paper proposes a new approach for LOD instance development, and i-Manager can be applied for the practical LOD development environment in the diverse application areas.
