  • In this Paper, we propose the feedback method having neural network to control the chaotic signals to periodic signals. This controller has very simple structure, it is immune to small parameter variations, the precise access to system parameters is not required and it is possible to follow ones of its inherent periodic orbits or the desired orbits without error, The controller consist of linear feedback gain and neural network. The learning of neural network is achieved by error-backpropagation algorithm. To prove and analyze the proposed method, we construct a software tool using c-language.

  • This paper is proposed a novel method to approximate the maximum power for a photovoltaic inverter system and tracking method. It is designed for power systems application and utilities. The proposed Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control has the advantage to provide a new simple way to approximate the optimal or rated voltage, the optimal or rated current and maximum power rating produced by a solar panel and the photovoltaic inverter. And this straightforward method will be named linear reoriented coordinates method (LRCM) with the advantage that Pmax and $V_{op}$ can be approximated using the same variable as the dynamic model without using complicate approximations or Taylor series. Furthermore tracking method is improved over 50% photovoltaic efficiency. This paper is proposed MPPT using LRMC and tracking method using weather condition of domestic moderate program technique. This paper is proposed the experimental results to verify the effectiveness of the new methods.

  • 본 논문에서는 자기부상시스템의 상태추정을 위한 슬라이딩모드 관측기와 동적 안정화를 위한 슬라이딩모드 제어기를 제안한다. 제안된 슬라이딩모드 관측기는 관측오차를 감소시키기 위해서 Lyapunov 안정도이론에 의하여 구성되고, 추정된 상태에 대해서 등가 제어입력과 비선형 제어입력의 일차결합으로 슬라이딩모드 제어기가 설계된다. 제안된 설계방법의 유용성은 모의실험결과로부터 검증한다.

  • FACTS concept is the control of power flow and increase of the loading on existing lines to the thermal limuts. This paper focuses on the ability of the thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC) to stabilize the disturbed power systems. The result shows the potential benefit of the TCSC in addition to the role of controlling the steady state power flow. In order to show the effectiveness of controlled series capacitor, power system dynamic model is augmented and the effect of the SC into the power system dynamics is included. As a control algorithm, Linear Optimal Control theory is applied.

  • This paper deals with the control of a nonlinear experimental helicopter system by using the fuzzy-model-based control approach. The fuzzy model of the experimental helicopter system is constructed from the original nonlinear dynamic equations in the form of an affine Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system. In order to design a feasible switching-type fuzzy-model-based controller, the TS fuzzy system is converted to a set of uncertain linear systems, which is used as a basic framework to synthesize the fuzzy-model-based controller.

  • This paper presents swing up and stabilization control of an underactuated two-link robot called the Pendubot. This device is a two-link planar robot with an actuator at the shoulder, but no actuator at the elbow. The controller swings up first link from its open loop stable equilibrium point to the unstable equilibrium point and then, catches the unactuated second link to balance it there. Two control algorithms are used for this task. Proportional Derivative Control technique is used to design the swing up control. The linear model of Pendubot is obtained by linearizing the nonlinear dynamic equations about the desired equilibrium point and LQR technique is used to design a stabilization controller.

  • In this paper, we studied the error compensation using an error budget method for repeatability improvement of the precision positioning system. The precision positioning system is developed for micro-pressing machine. We performed the force and displacement analysis about parts of the system. Proposed system determines the position and orientation of the materials manufactured by micro-pressing machine. It is consisted of x-y-z linear stages setting the position, and the gripper system setting the orientation. We executed kinematic and dynamic modeling of the whole precision positioning system.   • In this study, a model and an analysis method for parameter design is presented a linear relation between the input signal and the ideal value of a performance characteristic. Furthermore, There presented a new performance measure, expected quality loss after adjustment, which is proved to be equivalent to Taguchi's SN ratio approximately. On the basis of this, a two-step optimization procedure is proposed for parameter design considering the signal factor and the quality characteristics with continuous variable. Proposed procedure and Taguchi two-stage procedure are compared.

Nonlinear oscillations of a composite microbeam reinforced with carbon nanotube based on the modified couple stress theory

  • This paper presents nonlinear oscillations of a carbon nanotube reinforced composite beam subjected to lateral harmonic load with damping effect based on the modified couple stress theory. As reinforcing phase, three different types of single walled carbon nanotubes distribution are considered through the thickness in polymeric matrix. The non-linear strain-displacement relationship is considered in the von Kármán nonlinearity. The governing nonlinear dynamic equation is derived with using of Hamilton's principle.The Galerkin's decomposition technique is utilized to discretize the governing nonlinear partial differential equation to nonlinear ordinary differential equation and then is solved by using of multiple time scale method. The frequency response equation and the forced vibration response of the system are obtained. Effects of patterns of reinforcement, volume fraction, excitation force and the length scale parameter on the nonlinear responses of the carbon nanotube reinforced composite beam are investigated.

Advanced approach to design of small wind turbine support structures

  • In this work we present an advanced approach to the design of small wind turbine support steel structures. To this end we use an improved version of previously developed geometrically exact beam models. Namely, three different geometrically exact beam models are used, the first two are the Reissner and the Kirchhoff beam models implementing bi-linear hardening response and the third is the Reissner beam capable of also representing connections response. All models were validated in our previous research for a static response, and in this work they are extended to dynamic response. With these advanced models, we can perform analysis of four practical solutions for the installation of small wind turbines in new or existing buildings including effects of elastoplastic response to vibration problems. The numerical simulations confirm the robustness of numerical models in analyzing vibration problems and the crucial effects of elastoplastic response in avoiding resonance phenomena.
