Design of Digital Controller Based DSP for Thrust Ripples Suppression of PMLSM (PMLSM의 추력 리플 저감을 위한 DSP기반 디지털 제어기의 설계)

  • Thrust ripples in Permanent Magnet Linear Motor(PMLSM) are mainly generated by cogging force. Cogging force caused by the interaction between the iron core and the Permanent Magnet(PM), and end effect. This paper has proposed a control method for thrust ripples suppression and design of one-chip proceeding digital controller using TMS320LF2407. This control method is realized by Field Oriented Control(FOC) adding to current compensation. The effectiveness of proposed control method is verified by experimentation comparing between the compensation and non-compensation.

  • In this paper, we describe the analysis and the compensation method of the g-sensitivity error for MEMS vibratory gyroscopes. Usually, the g-sensitivity error has been ignored in the commercial MEMS gyroscope, but it deserves our attention to apply for the missile application as a tactical grade performance. Thus, it is necessary to compensate for the g-sensitivity error to reach a tactical grade performance. Generally, the g-sensitivity error seems intuitively to be a gyroscope bias error proportional to the linear acceleration. However, we assert that the g-sensitivity error mainly causes not a bias error but a scale-factor error. And we verify that the g-sensitivity scale-factor error occurs due to the non-linearity of parallel plate electrodes. Therefore, we propose the compensation method to remove the g-sensitivity scale-factor error. The experimental result showed that a proposed compensation method improved successfully the performance of the MEMS vibratory gyroscope.

  • It applied the linear tapped delay line structure to the least mean square algorithm and the recursive least square algorithm it investigated the mean square error characteristics of compensation algorithm. The purpose of this paper is to propose multi-tap update algorithm, which is superior to compensation capacity of data, and then compare and analyze it from the perspective of convergence characteristics at time invariant transmission channel and frequency selective fading channel.

  • It can be acquired the high effective productivity through of high speed, precision of machine tools, and then, machine tools will be got a competitive power. Industrially advanced countries already developed that the high speed feed is 60m/min using the high speed ball screw. Also, a lot of problems have happened the feed drive system. It is necessary to study about the characteristics of thermal deformation played a more critical role than static stiffness and dynamic rigidity in controlling the level of machining accuracy. In spite of the improving the thermal deformation characteristics of machine tools at the design stage, there are always some residual errors that have to be compensated for during machining. In this study, thermal deformation error automated compensation device with multiple linear regression is proposed that thermal deformation error can be eliminated at the machining stage. The developed device has been practically applied to the feed drive unit.

Silicon Pressure Sensor Using Shear Piezoresistance Effect (전단 압저항 효과를 이용한 실리콘 압력센서)

  • The thin, square-diaphragm silicon pressure sensor utilizing shear piezoresistance effect was designed and fabricated and its characteristics were examined. The sensor has only one diffused resistor, whereas conventional full-bridge sensor has four. Sensitivity is somewhat lower but temperature compensation is easier than the latter. The proposed sensor was fabricated with only one p-type diffused resistor of the dimension of 113x85\ulcorner\ulcornerlocated near the center of the edge of the diaphragm. The resistor was at 45\ulcornerwith the edge of the diaphragm. The sensitivity of the sensor was 36\ulcorner/V\ulcornermHg and was linear in the pressure range from 0 to 300 mmHg. The temperature coefficient without temperature compensation was 55 ppm/\ulcorner and it was decreased to about 0.17 mmHg/\ulcorner with compensation in the range from 10 to 60\ulcorner.

  • This paper introduces a GP(Genetic Programming) based robust technique for temperature compensation in short-range prediction. Development of an efficient MOS(Model Output Statistics) is necessary to correct systematic errors of the model, because forecast models do not reliably determine weather conditions. Most of MOS use a linear regression to compensate a prediction model, therefore it is hard to manage an irregular nature of prediction. In order to solve the problem, a nonlinear and symbolic regression method using GP is suggested. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of the estimation by a GP based nonlinear MOS for 3 days temperatures in Korean regions. This method is then compared to the UM model and has shown superior results. The training period of 2007-2009 summer is used, and the data of 2010 summer is adopted for verification.

  • Thermal distortion is a critical issue in machine tools, especially in high speed machining. This is the reason why recent machine tools have thermal compensation function. To compensate thermal distortion, it is necessary to make a model that has some relationship between temperature and deformation. Various experimental methods ye widely been used in thermal test: constant spindle speed, unit step speed increase, random spindle speed, etc. This paper focuses on which type of spindle operation condition is good for thermal experiment. Also, experimental data is modeled using multiple linear regression models and compared each other to select a method. Consequently, it turned out at e condition of 75% constant of maximum spindle speed is good enough to generate temperature and distortion data.

Health Care Utilization Patterns of Workers' Compensation Pneumoconiosis Patients with a Long Length of Stay (산재보험 진폐증 장기 입원환자의 의료이용 특성)

  • Objectives : This study investigated the health care utilization patterns of workers' compensation insurance(WCI) pneumoconiosis patients with excessively long hospital stays. Methods : The discharge summary data of 3,094 WCI pneumoconiosis patients were analyzed. The study sample was divided into 3 groups based on the length of stay(LOS). Health care utilization patterns were compared among the groups with logistic regression analysis, and the LOS determinants were identified with linear regression analysis. Results : The average LOS of the 222 long stay group patients was 1,448 days. Patients in this group tended to use private general hospitals, were admitted through the emergency room and discharged without the consent of a doctor. Conclusions : Many of the long LOS patients will maintain their inpatient status for the rest of their lives. For quality of life and efficient use of health care resources, policy makers need to establish a policy that enables patients to receive outpatient care in appropriate living conditions outside the hospital.

Four Degree-of-Freedom Geometric Error Measurement System with Common-Path Compensation for Laser Beam Drift

  • A precision four-degree-of-freedom measurement system has been developed for simultaneous measurement of four motion errors of a linear stage, which include straightness and angular errors, The system employs a retro-reflector to detect the straightness errors and a plane mirror to detect the angular errors. A common-path compensation method for laser beam drift is put forward, and the experimental results show that the influences of beam drift on four motion errors can be reduced simultaneously. In comparison with the API 5D laser measuring system, the accuracy for straightness measurement is about ${\pm}1.5{\mu}m$ within the measuring range of ${\pm}650{\mu}m$, and the accuracy for pitch and yaw measurements is about ${\pm}1.5$ arc-seconds within the range of ${\pm}600$ arc-seconds.

A Transfer Alignment Method considering a Data Latency Compensation for an Inertial Navigation System in High Dynamic Applications (고기동 환경에서 관성항법장치의 시간지연 보상 전달정렬 기법)

  • An improved transfer alignment method for a strap-down inertial navigation system (SDINS) is presented here. The alignment accuracy in conventional method is vulnerable to the data latency of a Master INS (MINS) in high maneuverable platforms. We propose a time delay compensation equation considering higher-order terms in the attitude measurement equation of the Kalman filter. The equation incorporates additional information including angular rate, angular acceleration and linear acceleration from the MINS. Simulation results show that the transfer alignment accuracy is significantly improved in the high dynamic environment by incorporating the latency compensation technique.
