복합 생균제 첨가가 육성돈의 생산성, 면역관련 혈액학적 지표 및 분내 유해가스 발생에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Probiotic Complex on Growth Performance, Blood Immunological Parameters and Fecal Malodor Gas Emission in Growing Pigs)

  • 본 연구는 복합 생균제(Lactobacillus acid- ophilus, Bacillus subtilis and Aspergillus oryzae)를 사료에 첨가하였을 경우 육성돈의 생산성, 혈액내 면역 지표 및 분내 유해가스 함량에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 실시하였다. 시험 동물은 [(Landrace×Yorkshire)×Duroc] 3원교잡종 육성돈 48두를 공시하여 35일간 실시하였고, 시험 개시체중은 25.31±1.29 kg이었다. 시험 설계는 옥수수-대두박 위주의 사료를 기초사료로 하여 대조구(CON)로 설정하였고, 기초사료에 복합 생균제 0.1%을 첨가한 처리구(PC1), 기초사료내 복합 생균제 0.2%을 첨가한 처리구(PC2)로 나타내었다. 성장효율에서 일당사료섭취량은 0~20일 기간 동안에서 PC2 구와 PC1 구가 CON 구보다 높게 나타내었으며(Linear effect, P=0.013), 21~35일 기간 동안에서는 PC1 구가 CON 구보다 높게 나타내었으며(Quadratic effect, P=0.024), 전체기간 동안에서는 PC2 구와 PC1 구가 CON 구보다 높게 나타내었다(Linear effect, P=0.009, Quadratic effect, P=0.004). 전체기간에서 일당증체량은 PC1 구가 CON 구보다 증가하였다(Quadratic effect, P=0.017). 하지만, 사료효율에서는 시험구간 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 건물 소화율은 PC2 구가 PC1 구와 CON 구보다 증가하였다(Linear effect, P=0.001). 질소 소화율은 PC1 구와 PC2 구가 CON 구보다 높게 나타냈다(Linear effect, P=0.005). 혈액내 면역 지표에서는 총 단백질, IgG 농도, RBC 및 WBC에서 PC2 구가 PC1 구와 CON 구보다 증가하였다(Linear effect, P<0.001, Quadratic effect, P<0.001). 분내 유해가스 함량에서 암모니아와 초산 함량은 PC2 구가 CON 구보다 낮게 나타내었고(Linear effect, P<0.02), 황화수소의 함량도 PC2 구가 CON 구보다 가장 낮게 나타냈지만(Linear effect, P=0.0002, Quadratic effect, P=0.018), Total Mercaptans에서는 실험구간 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 분내 수분함량에서는 시험구간 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 결론적으로 0.2% 복합 생균제 첨가시 육성돈에 사료섭취량, 건물 및 질소 소화율, 총 단백질, IgG 농도, RBC, WBC은 향상시키는 것으로 나타냈으며, 암모니아, 초산 및 황화수소를 감소시켜 영향을 미치는 것으로 사료된다.

  • To fulfill recent requirements for high quality products in steel rolling process, fast responding and easily tunab control system is required and ILQ(Inverse Linear Quadratic) control system may be one of such alternatives. In this paper characteristics of ILQ control and its application to BUR(Back-Up-Roll) eccentricity in strip rolling mill is discussed and compared to polynomial control approaches. Also the rolling mill model and basic principle to control thickness of srip are introduced with control effect by polynomial methods.

On the second order effect of the springing response of large blunt ship

  • The springing response of a large blunt ship was considered to be influenced by a second order interaction between the incoming irregular wave and the blunt geometry of the forebody of the ship. Little efforts have been made to simulate this complicated fluid-structure interaction phenomenon under irregular waves considering the second order effect; hence, the above mentioned premise still remains unproven. In this paper, efforts were made to quantify the second order effect between the wave and vibrating flexible ship structure by analyzing the experimental data obtained through the model basin test of the scaled-segmented model of a large blunt ship. To achieve this goal, the measured vertical bending moment and the wave elevation time history were analyzed using a higher order spectral analysis technique, where the quadratic interaction between the excitation and response was captured by the cross bispectrum of two randomly oscillating variables. The nonlinear response of the vibrating hull was expressed in terms of a quadratic Volterra series assuming that the wave excitation is Gaussian. The Volterra series was then orthogonalized using Barrett's procedure to remove the interference between the kernels of different orders. Both the linear and quadratic transfer functions of the given system were then derived based on a Fourier transform of the orthogonalized Volterra series. Finally, the response was decomposed into a linear and quadratic part to determine the contribution of the second order effect using the obtained linear and quadratic transfer functions of the system, combined with the given wave spectrum used in the experiment. The contribution of the second order effect on the springing response of the analyzed ship was almost comparable to the linear one in terms of its peak power near the resonance frequency.

육성돈에 있어 복합생균제 첨가가 생산성, 영양소 소화율, 혈액성상 및 분뇨내 악취물질 발생량에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Dietary Complex Probiotics on Growth Performance Nutrient Digestibility and Blood Characteristics in Growing Pigs)

  • 본 연구는 육성돈에 있어 복합생균제 급여가 생산성, 영양소 소화율, 혈액성상 및 분뇨내 악취물질 발생량에 미치는 효과를 규명하고자 실시하였다. 육성돈 48두를 공시하였으며, 시험 개시시 체중은 20.12kg이었다. 시험설계는 1) CON (basal diet), 2) Pro1 (basal diet + 0.1% complex probiotics) and 3) Pro2 (basal diet + 0.2% complex probiotics)으로 총 3처리를 하여 처리당 8반복, 반복당 2두씩 완전임의 배치하였다. 사양시험은 6주간 실시하였다 전체 시험기간동안 일당증체량은 생균제 첨가 수준이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 증가하였다(P<0.05). 그러나 생균제 급여는 일당사료섭취량 및 사료효율에 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 복합 생균제 급여는 건물 소화율을 증가시켰다(linear effect, P<.0.05). 또한 질소 소화율을 개선시켰으며, Pro 1 처리구가 가장 높게 나타났다(linear and quadratic effect, P<0.05). 생균제 급여는 혈액내 WBC, RBC, lymphocyte 및 BUN함량에 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 생균제 첨가 수준의 증가함에 따라 분뇨내 $NH_3-N$ 발생량은 감소하였으며(linear and quadratic effect, P<0.05), $H_2S$ 발생량은 감소하였다(linear and quadratic effect, P<0.05). 결론적으로 사료내 복합생균제의 첨가 급여는 생산성을 증가시켰으며, 분뇨내 악취물질 발생량을 감소 시켰다.

식이내 타우린 첨가가 비육돈의 성장, 등지방두께, 체내 콜레스테롤 및 타우린 농도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Taurine Supplementation on Growth Peformance, Backfat Thickness and Cholesterol and Taurine Concentrations in Finishing Pigs)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 식이내 타우린의 첨가가 성장, 등지방두께, 혈액 및 조직내 총콜레스테롤과 타우린 함량에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 실시하였다. 개시시 체중 71.11$\pm$0.14kg의 비육돈 48두를 공시하여 42일간 사양실험을 실시하였다. 실험설계는 옥수수-대두박 위주의 대조구(CON), 대조구 식이에 타우린 0.3% 첨가한 처리구(TAU0.3) 그리고 대조구 식이에 타우린 0.6%첨가한 처리구(TAU0.6)로 3개 처리로 하였다. 전체 사양실험 기간동안, 일당증체량에 있어서는 타우린 급여수준이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며(Quadratic effect, p<0.05), 식이 효율에 있어서도 비육돈 식이내 타우린 첨가 수준이 증가함에 따라 향상되는 것으로 나타났다(Quadratic effect, p<0.02). 혈청내 총콜레스테롤 농도에 있어서는 타우린 첨가 수준이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났으며 (Linear effect, p<0.04), 간 내 총콜레스테롤 농도에 있어서도 타우린 첨가수준이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다(Linear of fect, p<0.01). 혈장 및 간장내 타우린 농도에 있어서는 비육돈 식이내 타우린 첨가수준이 증가함에 따라 혈장(Linear effect, p<0.01)과 간장(Linear effect, p<0.01)에서 유의적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 등심내 타우린 농도에 있어서도 비육돈 식이내 타우린 농도가 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 증가하였다(Linear effect, p<0.01). 결론적으로, 비육돈 식이내 타우린의 첨가는 성장률을 향상시키며, 혈청 및 간내 총콜레스테롤 농도를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 혈장 및 등심 내 타우린 농도를 증가시키는 것으로 평가되었다.

밤 발효사료 제조과정에서 미생물 첨가수준이 영양소 함량과 반추위 내 발효특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Inoculant Application Level on Chemical Compositions of Fermented Chestnut Meal and Its Rumen Fermentation Indices)

  • This study aimed to estimate the effect of inoculant application level on chemical composition and bacterial count of fermented chestnut meal (FCM), and its rumen fermentation characteristics. The inoculant contained Lactobacillus acidophilus ($1.2{\times}10^{10}cfu/g$), Bacillus subtilis ($2.1{\times}10^{10}cfu/g$), and Saccharomyces cerevisiae ($2.3{\times}10^{10}cfu/g$). The chestnut meal mixed with molasses, double distilled water, and inoculant at 1 kg, 3 g, 480 mL, and 20 mL ratio for the basal chestnut meal diet. The double distilled water from basal chestnut meal diet was substituted with bacterial inoculant at a level of 0 (Control), 20 (Medium), and 40 mL (High) in the experimental diets. The mixed experimental diets were incubated at $39^{\circ}C$ for 7, 14, and 21 days, respectively. On 7 days of FCM incubation, the contents of crude protein (CP) (quadratic, P=0.043) and neutral detergent fiber (quadratic, P=0.071) decreased by increases of inoculant application levels, whereas bacterial count (quadratic, P=0.065) and rumen $NH_3-N$ (linear, P=0.063) increased. By increases of inoculant application levels on 14 days of FCM incubation, the increases were found on dry matter (DM) (quadratic, P=0.085), CP (quadratic, P=0.059), acid detergent fiber (quadratic, P=0.056), in vitro DM digestibility (linear, P=0.002), rumen total volatile fatty acid (VFA) (linear, P=0.057), and rumen iso-butyrate (linear, P=0.054). However, the decreases were found on bacterial count (linear, P=0.002), propionate (linear, P=0.099), and butyrate (quadratic, P=0.082). On 21 days of FCM incubation, in vitro DM digestibility (linear, P=0.002) and total VFA (linear, P=0.001) increased by increases of inoculant application levels, whereas the contents of CP (quadratic, P=0.034) and neutral detergent fiber (quadratic, P=0.047) decreased. These results indicate that the FCM with a medium level of inoculant application and 14 of fermentation had beneficial effects by increasing DM digestibility and rumen total VFA content, without altering bacterial count.

Efficient Approximation Method for Constructing Quadratic Response Surface Model

  • For a large scaled optimization based on response surface methods, an efficient quadratic approximation method is presented in the context of the trust region model management strategy. If the number of design variables is η, the proposed method requires only 2η+1 design points for one approximation, which are a center point and tow additional axial points within a systematically adjusted trust region. These design points are used to uniquely determine the main effect terms such as the linear and quadratic regression coefficients. A quasi-Newton formula then uses these linear and quadratic coefficients to progressively update the two-factor interaction effect terms as the sequential approximate optimization progresses. In order to show the numerical performance of the proposed method, a typical unconstrained optimization problem and two dynamic response optimization problems with multiple objective are solved. Finally, their optimization results compared with those of the central composite designs (CCD) or the over-determined D-optimality criterion show that the proposed method gives more efficient results than others.

산삼 부정근박 급여가 육성-비육돈의 생산성, 혈액성상 및 육질특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Wild-Ginseng Adventitious Root Meal on Growth Performance, Blood Characteristics and Meat Quality in Growing-Finishing Pigs)

  • 본 시험은 산삼 부정근박 급여에 따른 육성-비육돈의 생산성, 혈액성상 및 육질특성에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 시험 동물은 3원 교잡종(Landrace×Yorkshire×Duroc) 육성-비육돈 96두를 공시하였다. 시험 개시시의 체중은 68.29±0.31kg이었으며, 사양시험은 70일간 실시하였다. 시험설계는 1) CON(Basal diet), 2) WGR1(Basal diet+0.5% cultured wild ginseng roots), 3) WGR2(Basal diet+1.0% cultured wild ginseng roots) 및 4) WGR3(Basal diet+1.5% cultured wild ginseng roots)로 4개 처리를 하여 처리당 6반복, 반복당 4두씩 완전임의 배치하였다. 성장률에서는 종료 체중과 일당 증체량에서는 WGR3 처리구가 CON 처리구구에 비해 유의적으로 낮은 결과를 나타내었다(Linear effect, P=0.005). 혈액 특성에서 red blood cell 함량은 종료시 CON과 WGR2 처리구가 WGR1 처리구에 비해 유의적으로 높은 함량을 나타내었다(Quadratic effect, P=0.019). White blood cell 함량은 종료시 WGR2 처리구가 CON와 WGR1 처리구에 비해 유의적으로 높은 함량을 나타내었다(Linear effect, P=0.041). 변화량에서도 WGR2 처리구가 다른 처리구들에 비해 유의적으로 높게 나타내었다(Linear effect, P=0.042). Total protein 함량은 종료시 WGR2 처리구가 CON처리구에 비해 유의적으로 높은 함량을 나타내었다(Quadratic effect, P=0.011). 혈액 내 콜레스테롤 함량에서는 Total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol 및 triglyceride의 함량은 처리구간 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 육질 특성에서 pH는 WGR1 처리구가 WGR3 처리구에 비해 유의적으로 높게 나타내었다 (Quadratic effect, P=0.022). 보수력에서도 WGR2 처리구가 WGR3 처리구에 비해 유의적으로 높게 나타내었다(Quadratic effect, P=0.050).

Prediction of calcium and phosphorus requirements for pigs in different bodyweight ranges using a meta-analysis

  • Several studies have focused on Ca and P requirements for pigs. These requirements are estimated from their retention and bone formation. However, modern pig breeds have different responses to dietary Ca and P than traditional breeds, and their requirements are expected to change on an annual basis. Besides individual Ca and P needs, the Ca to P ratio (Ca/P) is an important factor in determining requirements. This study aimed to implement a linear and quadratic regression analysis to estimate Ca and P requirements based on average daily gain (ADG), apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD) of Ca (ATTD-Ca), ATTD of P (ATTD-P), and crude protein (CP) digestibility. Results show that Ca/P had linear and quadratic effects on ADG in the phytase-supplemented (PS) group in both the 6-11 kg and 11-25 kg categories. In the latter category, the CP digestibility was linearly increased in response to increasing Ca/P in the without-phytase (WP) group. In the 25-50 kg category, there was a linear response of ADG and linear and quadratic responses of CP digestibility to Ca/P in the PS group, while a linear and quadratic increase in CP digestibility and a quadratic effect on ATTD-Ca were observed in the WP group. In the 50-75 kg category, Ca/P had significant quadratic effects on ADG in the PS and WP groups, along with significant linear and quadratic effects on ATTD-Ca. In addition, Ca/P had significant quadratic effects on ATTD-P and led to a significant linear and quadratic increase in the CP digestibility in the WP group. In the 75-100 kg category, analysis showed a significant decrease in ATTD-Ca and ATTD-P in the PS and WP groups; in the latter, ATTD-P and ATTD-Ca were linearly decreased by increasing Ca/P. In conclusion, our equations predicted a higher Ca/P in the 6-25 kg bodyweight categories and a lower Ca/P in the 50-100 kg category than that recommended in the literature.

  • In this paper we investigate the phase modulation efficiency in the electrooptic phase modulator using PPpinNN GaAs/AlGaAs W-type waveguide. The phase change is affected by the refractive index change taking place inside the depletion region. The behavior of the modulator can be understood in terms of two electric field-related and two carrier-related effects linear electrooptic, quadratic electrooptic, plasma, and bandgap shift. As a result, the phase modulation efficiency was measured about 34.6($^{\circ}$/V$.$mm) for the TE polarized light. The quadratic electrooptic coefficient R 5.82${\times}$10$\^$-15/($\textrm{cm}^2$/V$^2$) is Obtained ant the Phase efficiency Caused by the quadratic electrooptic effect is about 10 times larger than that from the conventional linear electrooptic effect.
