심미적 측모에 관한 두부계측방사선학적 연구 (Soft tissue cephalometric analysis of Aesthetic Korean female)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 심미적 안모를 가진 한국 성인 여성을 대상으로 연조직 측모 분석을 시행하여 현재 선호되는 안모 형태를 알아보고, 국내 및 국외 연구 결과와 비교하여, 향후 교정치료 및 악교정수술 복합교정치료시 진단과 치료 계획수립에 도움이 되고자 하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 조화롭고 심미적인 안모를 가지며 competent lip을 가진 30명의 성인 여자 모델이었다. 이들을 natural head position에서 중심교합 상태 및 상하순을 이완시킨 상태에서 측모 두부계측방사선 사진과 정모, 측모 사진을 촬영하여 18명을 최종 선정하였다 연조직 측모의 각도, 거리, 비율 계측을 시행하여 평균과 표준 편차를 구하였고 국내외의 다른 연구와 비교하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 상하순은 Ricketts' E line에 대해서 모두 후방에 위치하였다(상순 : -2.08mm to E line, 하순 : -0.04 mm to E line). 2. 정상교합자를 대상으로 한 이전의 연구에 비해서는 상하순 모두 후방에 위치하였고, 심미성을 기준으로 선정한 이전의 연구에 비해서는 상하순 모두 전방에 위치하였다. 3. 이 대상의 비순각의 평균은 101.03도이며 표준편차는 8.47도였다.

Gemcitabine Plus Nedaplatin as Salvage Therapy is a Favorable Option for Patients with Progressive Metastatic Urothelial Carcinoma After Two Lines of Chemotherapy

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of a combination of gemcitabine and nedaplatin therapy among patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma previously treated with two lines of chemotherapy. Between February 2009 and August 2013, 30 patients were treated with gemcitabine and paclitaxel as a second-line chemotherapy. All had received a first-line chemotherapy consisting of methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin and cisplatin. Ten patients who had measurable histologically proven advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma of the urinary bladder and upper urinary tract received gemcitabine $1,000mg/m^2$ on days 1, 8 and 15 and nedaplatin $70mg/m^2$ on day 2 as a third-line chemotherapy. Tumors were assessed by imaging every two cycles. The median number of treatment cycles was 3.5. One patient had partial response and three had stable disease. The disease-control rate was 40%, the median overall survival was 8.8 months and the median progression-free survival was 5.0 months. The median overall survival times for the first-line and second-line therapies were 29.1 and 13.9 months, respectively. Among disease-controlled patients (n=4), median overall survival was 14.2 months. Myelosuppression was the most common toxicity. There were no therapy-related deaths. Gemcitabine and nedaplatin chemotherapy is a favorable third-line chemotherapeutic option for patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma. Given the safety and benefit profile seen in this study, further prospective trials are warranted given the implications of our results with regard to strategic chemotherapy for patients with advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma.

전산모사 프로그램을 이용한 E-MOLD의 Heating Line 배치의 최적화 설계에 관한 연구 (Development of simulation method for heating line optimization of E-Mold by using commercial CAE softwares)

  • 일반사출성형에서는 수지가 캐비티 내를 흐르면서 냉각으로 인한 점도의 상승으로 전사성이 급격히 나빠지기 때문에 미세패턴을 가진 성형품을 제작하는데 많은 어려움이 따른다. 이를 해결하는 방법으로 금형온도를 용융된 수지온도 수준까지 순간적으로 표면만을 가열하여 성형시킨 후 급속히 냉각하는 다양한 순간금형가열방식이 있고, 그 중 본 연구에서는 전열가열방식인 E-Mold을 채택하였다. 특히, 마이크/나노 부품 성형에 필수적인 E-Mold 금형설계에 있어 heating line의 배치는 금형의 온도 제어 및 균일한 온도 분포에 절대적인 영향을 미치므로 최적화된 heating line의 배치가 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 사출공정의 사이클 타임을 최소화하면서 다양한 해석 프로그램을 사용하여 E-Mold의 최적화 설계를 전산모사 하였고, 이를 실험결과와 비교하였다. 먼저, 3D CAD 프로그램인 Pro-Engineer Wildfire 2.0 을 사용하여 E-Mold 금형을 설계하고, ANSYS사의 ICEMCFD 프로그램을 사용하여 MESH 생성하고, ANSYS사의 FLUENT 프로그램을 사용하여 금형의 초기온도 $60^{\circ}C$에서 $120^{\circ}C$$180^{\circ}C$까지 가열하는데 걸리는 시간과 냉각시키는데 걸리는 시간 등을 전산모사 하였다. 그리고 Polycarbonate를 이용하여 LGP 도광판을 실제 사출성형하여 얻은 데이터와 비교 분석을 하였다. 전산모사와 실제 사출결과에서 $3{\sim}4$초가량의 차이가 나타났지만 실제 사출시 고온의 용융된 플라스틱 수지에 따른 냉각시간의 오차를 생각한다면, 전산모사와 실힘결과는 거의 일치한다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 체계적인 전산모사방법을 통해 E-Mold의 Heating Line 최적화 설계가 가능하다는 것을 확인하였다.

Gas and Stellar Kinematics of 9 Pseudo Bulge Galaxies

  • We present the spatially resolved kinematics of ionized gas and stars along the major axis of 9 pseudo bulge galaxies. Using the high quality long-slit spectra obtained with the FOCAS at the Subaru telescope, we measured the flux, velocity, and velocity dispersion of the [OIII] and $H{\beta}$ lines to determine the size of the narrow-line region, rotation curve, and the radial profile of velocity dispersions. We compare ionized gas kinematics and stellar kinematics to investigate whether ionized gas shows any signs of outflows and whether stars and ionized gas show the same sigma-dip feature (i.e., decrease of velocity dispersion) at the very center.

Interference Analysis in an Urban Mesh Network Operating in the 60-GHz Band

  • Because of their exclusive features, millimeter wave directive mesh networks can be considered for small cell backhaul support in urban environments. For this purpose, a network of closely spaced stations has been considered with very directive line-of-sight links operating in the 60-GHz band. An attempt is made to evaluate channel response and interference behavior in such a network, taking into account the effect of building blockage. A simple grid of building blocks is considered as the propagation environment, and wave propagation is simulated using 2.5-dimensional (2.5D) ray tracing (2D with ground effect) to calculate the received signal at different nodes in the network. The results are compared with free space predictions and used to evaluate interference at all nodes in the channel and describe certain characteristics of links, such as the delay profile and the correlation length.

  • Piezoelectric Transformer (PT) was emerged in device and material industry. PT has some advantages such as low profile and mechanical energy transfer with little electromagnetic interface (EMI). But, It is known that the maximum PT efficiency can be obtained when it operates near the resonant frequency of the PT. Also PT's resonant frequency moves according to the load conditions Therefore, As the operating frequency moves further from the resonant frequency, the PT efficiency decreases dramatically due to the increase of the circulating current. Low-dislocation-density large-diameter GaAs single crystal grown by vertical Bridgman method

  • Low-dislocation-density large-diameter GaAs single crystals with low-residual-strain have been strongly required. We have developed dislocation-free 3-inch Si doped GaAs crystals for photonic devices, and low-dislocation-density low-residual-strain 4-inch to 6-inch semi-insulating GaAs crystals for electronic devices by Vertical Bridgman(VB) technique. We confirmed that VB substrates with low-residual-strain have higher resistance against slip-line generation during MBE process. VB-GaAs single crystals show uniform radial profile of resistivity reflecting to the flat solid-liquid interface during the crystal growth. Uniformity of micro-resistivity of VB-GaAs substrate is much better than of the LEC-GaAs substrate, which is due to the low-dislocation-density of VB-GaAs single crystals.

  • 본 연구에서는 필자들의 수치해석방법을 발전시켜 프로파일링을 한 로울러의 프로파일 시작점부근에서의 압력과 유막의 거동을 보다 상세하게 해석하고자 한다.이를 위하여, 수치해석시 로울러 길이방향의 분할을 불균일하게 하여 프로파일 시작점부근에서의 절점의 간격을 조밀하게 하였으며 윤활유의 압축성효과도 고려하였다.

Real time optimization of fed-batch culture of recombinant yeast

  • A real time optimization algorithm for fed-batch cultures of recombinant yeast to determine the optimal substrate feed rate profile has been developed. Its development involved four key steps: (1) development of reliable adaptive model. (2) development of optimization algorithm. (3) design of on-line model update algorithm to be incorporated into the optimization algorithm and (4) experimental validation. A recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae producing human parathyroid hormone (hPTH) was chosen as the model strain. It was found to be very successful in maintaining cell growth and galactose consumption at leigh levels, thus resulting in significant improvements in the productivity (up to 2.1 times) and intact hPTH concentration (up to 1.5 times) compared with the case of an intermittent glucose and galactose, or galactose feeding.

  • We have investigated the numerical methods to calculate model atmosphere for the analysis of spectral lines emitted from the sun and stars. Basic equations used in our calculations are radiative transfer, statistical equilibrium and charge-particle conservations. Transfer equation has been solved to get emitting spectral line profile as an initial value problem using Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method with accuracy as high as 12th order. And we have calculated above non linear differential equations simultaneously as a boundary value problem by finite difference method of 3 points approximation through Feautrier elimination scheme. It is found that all computing programs coded by above numerical methods work successfully for our model atmosphere.
