Development of 3-D. Displacement Measurement System for Critical Pipe of Fossil Power Plant (화력발전소 주배관 3차원 변위측정시스템 개발)

  • Most domestic fossil power plant have exceeded 100,000 hours of operation with the severe operating condition. Among the critical components of fossil power plant, high temperature steam pipe system have had a many problems and damage from unstable displacement behavior because of frequent start up and shut down. In order to prevent the serious damage and failure of the critical pipe system in fossil power plant, 3-dimensional displacement measurement system were developed for the on-line monitoring system. 3-D Measurement system was developed with using the LVDT type sensor and rotary encoder type sensor, this system was installed and operated on the real power plant successfully. In the future time, network system of on-line diagnosis for critical pipe will be designed.

  • The running of the electric train are done by powering, breaking and coasting. Powering to start and accelerate the rolling stock means driving the three-phase electric induction motors controlled by VVVF inverters which are connected to overhead power line directly(DC) or indirectly(AC, DC/AC). Breaking is achieved by blending control which is the proportional combination between regenerative breaking of VVVF inverter and air pressure control of breaking operating unit(BOU). Therefore, Data obtained during two operation are very important items to evaluate the running performance of RS. This paper has investigated in real time data acquired from VVVF inverter and measured by pressure sensor directly connected to air breaking line(motor car and trailer car). By analyzing data in the region of time and frequency, fundamental methods for eavaluating the running performance of RS quantitatively and objectively have been suggested.

  • The construction machine is the composite machine assembled by about 30,000 parts. Excavator, one kind of a construction machine, plays the leading role for export of construction equipment. It is generally impossible to produce all of the items within one company. Especially the supply of hydraulic control valves, one of the core part of the construction equipment, depends on the import heavily. So it is important to make an efficient production plan of hydraulic control valves in the company. The most important thing for the production scheduling of a hydraulic control valve is to make production schedule keeping the start date for assembly line for an excavator and to make minimization of the stock level. The production plan of hydraulic control valve includes the decision of the quantity supplied by subcontractor. This paper presents a scheme for a scheduling system of the hydraulic control valve considering the schedule of the assembly line for excavator production. This paper provides a methodology, which can make a plan of supply and production and generate a detailed schedule for daily production.

  • Recently, in the metro railways, researches on the skip-stop operation and development of the double deck train-set are active, which is to improve the service quality through reducing the passenger travel time and suppling seating service. Constructing new line or reforming the existent line needs huge amount of budget. Therefore, previous to start these large scale projects, scrutiny on benefit improvement, cost reduction and those optimal trade-off is indispensable. In this paper, a quantitative analysis to determine the optimal train service patterns and train-sets necessary is proposed, under the skip-stop operation condition in the metro railways. The analysis models are formulated in mathematical programming model, and tested validity using the LINGO 7.0.

  • Hydraulic power plant is operated for peak load and frequently start-stop because of no continuous operation. So the fault can happen due to field voltage swing in the middle of starting or reactive power swing on the line. On this research, we want to analyze that this status influence on line and generator. we hope this research can contribute to the power quality improvement.

  • Recently, KTX start service 2004 and speed up the Chung-ang line and Ho-nam line using tilting train. When the train speed up at curve the vibration environment are changed. It is the reason of the wave propagation problem in the curved source. In this research, using SSI Program SASSI, Predict the vibration propagation around the curved source of vibration. The curved source of vibration propagation is different from straight source of vibration propagation. In this study, made a curved vibration source model and compared with straight model.

  • We demonstrate the subsurface origin of the observed evolution of the solar active region 10930 (AR10930) associated with merging and breakup of magnetic polarity regions at the solar surface. We performed a magnetohydrodynamic simulation of an emerging magnetic flux tube whose field-line twist is asymmetrically distributed along its axis, which is a key to merging and fragmentation in this active region. While emerging into the surface, the flux tube is subjected to partial splitting of its weakly twisted portion, forming separate polarity regions at the solar surface. As emergence proceeds, these separate polarity regions start to merge and then break up, while in the corona sigmoidal structures form and a solar eruption occurs. We discuss what physical processes could be involved in the characteristic evolution of an active region magnetic field that leads to the formation of a sunspot surrounded by satellite polarity regions.

  • Line of Balance (LOB) method is suitable to schedule construction projects composed of repetitive activities. Since existing LOB based repetitive project scheduling methods are deterministic, they do not lend themselves to handle uncertainties involved in repetitive construction process. Indeed, existing LOB scheduling dose not handle variability of project performance indicators. In order to bridge the gap between reality and estimation, this study provides a stochastic LOB based scheduling method that allows schedulers for effectively dealing with the uncertainties of a construction project performance. The proposed method retrieves an appropriate probability distribution function (PDF) concerning project completion times, and determines favorable start times of activities. A case study is demonstrated to verify and validate the capability of the proposed method in a repetitive construction project planning.

  • In this paper, we have developed a data monitoring system for activation analysis based on fuel heater of diesel cars. The light oil of diesel engine below a constant temperature be changed to the waxing materials of a semisolid status like a paraffin, and then it may not start. In order to evaluate an engine activation performance, we suggest an engine start time with an change between an extremely low temperature and high temperature, a delay time goes with heater resistor and current and pressure. So, we have developed sensor module system that can obtain the operational status data between fuel line and fuel heater, and evaluate the performance of fuel heater through monitoring of a temperature and pressure. Finally, we can gather the temperature and pressure data of this system with mobile terminal, remotely and propose an utility of this system that can find problems of fuel heater through measured data.

KSTAR ICRF 방전세정 플라즈마의 특성분석

  • KSTAR(Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) 토카막에 설치되어 있는 ICRF(Ion Cyclotron Range Frequency) 시스템을 이용한 방전세정을 2008년에 이어 2009 KSTAR 플라즈마 campaign 동안에도 시행하였다. ICRF 시스템을 이용한 방전세정인 ICWC(Ion Cyclotron Wall Cleaning)는 ITER와 DEMO 같은 초전도 자석을 이용하는 토카막에서 토카막 shot 중간에 자장을 낮추지 않고 바로 방전 세정을 할 수 있는 방법이다. 토카막에서 방전세정은 탄소나 산소 화합물과 같은 불순물을 제거하여 방사에 의한 플라즈마 냉각을 막고 토카막 초기 start-up시 진공 챔버 벽면으로부터 의도하지 않은 연료주입을 제거하는 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 ICWC 방전 세정 플라즈마의 밀도특성과 균일도를 간섭계와 $H_{\alpha}$ line 세기를 통해 관측하고 RGA를 통해서 C, $H_2O$, $O^2$ 불순물의 제거량을 파악하는 한편 토카막의 신뢰성 있는 start-up을 위해 요구되는 벽면에서 토카막 방전가스의 제거량을 HD양을 통해서 조사하였다. 플라즈마 선적분 밀도는 약 $1{\sim}3{\times}10^{17}#/m^2$로 측정되었는데 이는 보통 He을 이용한 방전세정 플라즈마의 밀도에 해당한다. 한편 $H_{\alpha}$ line의 세기를 통해 ICWC 방전 플라즈마의 균일도를 살펴본 결과 안테나 전류띠의 중간이 아닌 끝부분에서 $H_{\alpha}$의 세기가 큰 것으로 나타났는데 이는 ICWC 플라즈마가 Inductive 방전보다는 capacitive 방전에 의해 생성되는 것으로 추정된다. ICWC 방전에서 C, $H_2O$, $O_2$ 불순물의 제거율은 각각 약 $4.2{\times}10^{-5}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$, $1.4{\times}10^{-3}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$ 그리고 $1.72{\times}10^{-4}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$로 각각 나타났는데 ICWC shot이 진행될수록 이 양은 점점 줄어들었다. 대표적인 He/$H_2$, He ICWC 방전 shot인 2118, 2123 shot에서 벽면에서 $D_2$의 제거율은 각각 약 $0.12\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$$3.9{\times}10^{-3}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$로 나타났다. 이는 수소의 첨가로 인해 HD의 형태로 $D_2$의 제거율이 증가되었기 때문이다. 한편 $H_2$의 첨가는 챔버 벽면에 흡착되는 $H_2$ 양을 또한 증가시키므로 차후에 $H_2$ 만을 제거하는 He ICWC를 수행해야 할 것이다.
