Brain tumors or gliomas are fatal cancer species with high recurrence rates due to their strong invasiveness. Therefore, the goal of surgery is complete tumor resection. However, the surgery is difficult to distinguish the border because tumors and blood vessels have the same color tone and shape. The fluorescein sodium is used as a fluorescence contrast agent for boundary separation. When the external light source is irradiated, yellow fluorescence is expressed in the tumor, which helps distinguish between blood vessels and tumor boundaries. But, the fluorescence expression of fluorescence sodium depends on the concentration of fluorescein sodium and such analytical data is insufficient. The unclear fluorescence can obscure the boundaries between blood vessels and tumors. In addition, reduce the efficiency of fluorescence sodium use. This paper proposes a protocol of concentration range for fluorescence expression conditions. Fluorescent expression was observed using a near-infrared (NIR) color camera with corresponding dilution using normal saline in 1 ml microtube. The flunoresence emission density range is 1.00 mM to 0.15 mM. The fluorescence emission begin to 1.00 mM and the 0.15 mM discolor. The discolor is difficult to fluorescence emission condition obserbation. Thus, the maximum density range of the bright fluoresecein is 0.15 mM to 0.30 mM. When the concentration range of fluorescein sodium is analyzed based on the gradient of fluorescence expression and the power measurement, the brightest fluorescence is expected to facilitate the complete resection of the tumor. For the concentration range protocol, setting concentration ranges and analyzing fluorescence expression image according to saturation and brightness to find optimal fluorescence concentration are important. Concentration range protocols for fluorescence expression conditions can be used to find optimal concentrations of substances whose expression pattern varies with concentration ranges. This study is expected to be helpful in the boundary classification and resection of brain tumors and glioma.
Stomatal resistances of the leaves in Heteromeres arbutifolia and of the stems in Ferocactus acanthodes were studied to estimate active and passive behaviors of the guard cells on a theoretical basis. Active and passive stomatal responses to light and water deficit were observed. When the change rate of existent water due to variation of osmotic potential in the guard cells and the loss rate of transpirational water from the guard cells are $\Delta$wi-$\Delta$wt and leaded to active behaviors for opening and closing stomata. However, when stems of F. acanthodes with stomata closecd under the solar irradiation were covered with black cloth and then taken off, behaviors of the guard cells occurred in the condition of $\Delta$wi<$\Delta$wt and were passive. Under the conditiion of $\Delta$wi<$\Delta$wt due to cutout from stems, passive behaviors of the guard cells in H. arbutifolia and F. acanthodes always occurred in spite of the solar irradiation and darkness, respectively. The transpirational resistance coefficients of the guard cells in stems of F. acanthodes (0.380) and Opuntia bigelovii (0.135) wer emuch higher than in leaves of H. arbutifolia (0.034). Moreover, stomatal opening in stems of F. acanthodes during the daytime could be induced by watering. Those results are interpreted as that since the guard cells in desert Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) plants always exist in the state of stomatal opening, nocturnal stomatal opening and daytime stomatal closing are exhibited by passive behaviors of the guard cells in the alternant conditioins of $\Delta$wi>$\Delta$wt and $\Delta$wi<$\Delta$wt, respectively.
This paper is designed to make a research into the process of the formation and introduction of design management system necessary for the strategic utilization of design at a management love on the part of domestic small business. This paper is limited to the study of the general problems ralated to the design management of the domestic small business companies producing consumer goods. 1 made an examination of the necessity of the introduction of design management and of the necessity of design development in connection with the administrative features of small business, identifying the actual condition of design by the small business and discussing the actual situation of design management and tasks to tackle. lastly, 1 made a suggestion of the process, whose aim lies In the inside establishment of the design management system deemed desirable for the domestic companies. 1 have come to the following conclusions. First, small business should make use of design development so as to keep their competitiveness and to enhance their administrative features. Second,. design can serve as a means for making a speedy response in the companies'differentiation strategies arid strategies for markets with a lot of opportunities. Third, the utilization of design at an administrative love on the part of the small business works in the light of enterprise communications, organizations, business and marketing and so on. Fourth, the majority of small business are weak when it comes to organization, manpower and environment in relation to design. So it is necessary to introduce and construct the design management system. Fifth, the managers of the small business should first of all take a strong interest in and have a renewed understanding of the importance of design. I made a suggestion that the small business should carry out a process constructing the design-management system based on the design organization and manpower, but stopped short of confirming my suggestion in a corroborative way.
This studies were conducted to investigate the physiological characteristics of photosynthesis and dry matter accmulation of 2 Tongil type and 2 Japonica type varieties under different temperature and light intensity condition. Photosynthetic activities were lower in Tongil type varieties than Japonica type at low temperature(17$^{\circ}C$), but higher in Tongil type varieties at high temperature in each growth stages. The degradation rate of photosynthesis was higher in Tongil type varieties than Japonica type varieties at low temperature and Tongil type varieties were showed high photosynthetic activities at high temperature ($25^{\circ}C$). Specific Leaf Area in each growth stages were the highest at tillering and increased from panicle formation stage to heading stage. The ratio of respiration to photosynthesis (R /P$\times$200) into upper three leaves were significantly high in third leaf and showed same slope in each varieties. CGR, NAR were higher in Tongil type varieties than Japonica type varieties and yields, havesting index were showed high in Tongil type varieties.

Experiments were carried out to investigate the selection of industrial medium and optimization of fermentation process for the production of erythritol by Candida magnoliae SR101. In the batch fermentation, light steep water(LSW) was the best nitrogen source for the industrial production of erythritol. For the optimization of culture condition, the batch culture was performed. When the concentration of LSW was 65 mL/L in the defined medium containing 250 g/L of glucose, 44% of erythritol yield with 110 g/L of erythritol concentration and 0.66 g/L-hr of productivity, respectively were obtained. Two-stage fed-batch culture was performed to improve the volumetric productivity of erythritol. High density cell culture in the growth stage was performed by batch type with 100 g/L glucose and 500 mL/L LSW concentration, respectively. The cell yield was 0.72 g-cell/g-glucose. Productivity of erythritol was increased and concentration of organic acids such as gluconic acid and acetic acid were decreased when initial pH of 6.5 controlled by 28% ammonia water For increasing yield of erythritol, glucose concentration in the production stage was tested. 37% of total erythritol yield with 186 g/L of erythritol concentration and 1.66 g/L-hr of erythritol productivity were obtained when 820 g of glucose powder was directly added for making up 450 g/L of glucose at production stage.
A photosynthetic bacterium strain KUP-74 producing high amount of S-amino-levulinic acid(ALA) was isolated from soils, which was identified as Rhodocyclus gelatinosus. After 10 days cultivation under anaerobic-light condition at $30^{\circ}C$, 4 Klux and pH 6.8, 5 mg/l of ALA was formed extracellularly. ALA productions were increased up to 8 mg/l and 12 mg/l in cell cultivations either by the addition of 0.5% glycerol (v/v) or 10 mM of glycine and succinic acid, respectively, using Lascelles basal medium eliminated L-glutamic acid. By cultivation in the presence of 30 mM each D,L-glutamic acids and D,L-glutamines the yield of ALA showing a late induction phenomenon was reached the maximum value of 21 mg/l. Different culture times were needed to generate maximum ALA yields by the addition of initial precursors of $C_4$ and $C_5$ pathways in basal medium, as being 107 h and 262 h, respectively. 40 mg/l yield of ALA was observed by cell cultivation with the basal medium containing each 10 mM levulinic acid(LA) and glycine simultaneously.
The catalytic oxidation of vinyl chloride was investigated over $CrO_x$ impregnated on $Al_2O_3$ at temperature between 200 and $400^{\circ}C$. The major carbonaceous products were CO and $CO_2$, and the selectivity of $CO_2$ was gradually increased with increasing reaction temperature, while that of CO was dropped consequently. This suggests that CO is the first product which is further oxidized to $CO_2$ in the oxidation of vinyl chloride over $CrO_x/Al_2O_3$. The addition of HCl in the feed didn't affect the conversion of vinyl chloride, but the selectivity of $CO_2$ decreased by adding HCl. It implies that HCl inhibits, the complete oxidation of vinyl chloride to $CO_2$. When oxidizing vinyl chloride in dry air, significant amounts of $Cl_2$ were observed, while no $Cl_2$ was detected in the humid condition. The activities of several catalysts including various precious metals and other transition metal oxides were measured, it was found that the catalytic activity of 12% $CrO_x/Al_2O_3$ was higher than other catalysts except 1% $Pt/Al_2O_3$. The reaction rate of 12% $CrO_x/Al_2O_3$ was 1.2 times lower than that of 1% Pt/alumina, but it was 3 to 8 times more active than other catalysts for vinyl chloride oxidation at $275^{\circ}C$.
Synthesis conditions were optimized using response surface methodology for producing structured lipids (SL) by interesterification of DHA-enriched algae oil derived from microalgae, Schizochytrium sp. and corn oil. Reaction was performed fer 24 hr at $55^{\circ}C$ catalyzed by immobilized lipase from Rhizomucor miehei (RM IM) in shaking water bath. Major fatty acids of SL were palmitic (21.70 mol%), oleic (20.20 mol%), and linoleic (27.34 mol%) acids, and DHA (15.06 mol%). To separate newly synthesized SL-triglycerides (TG) species, HPLC with evaporative light scatting detector (ELSD) was used. Production conditions were optimized using central composite design with reaction temperature $(35-75^{\circ}C,\;X_1)$, reaction time $(2-42\;hr,\;X_2)$, and enzyme concentration $(2-14%,\;X_3)$ as variables. When variables were $70.28^{\circ}C\;(X_1),\;28.74\;hr\;(X_2),\;and\;11.30%\;(X_3)$, maximum content of selected three peaks of synthesized SL-TG species was predicted as 6.97 area%.

By using the artificial lightweight aggregate for the natural aggregate depletes and destruction of environment and the application of lightweight concrete in structure, the lightweight concrete is manufactured. The fundamental characteristics by the waterbinder ratio was evaluated. It is suggested the method to control of pre-absorbed water of the lightweight aggregate. Lightweight concrete with pre-absorbed aggregate has similar characteristics compared to normal weight concrete regardless of water-binder ratio. According to the water-binder ratio, the drying condition, and the rebar, the unit mass of the lightweight concrete showed the reduction of 14.6${\sim}$21.0% as the range of 1,668${\sim}$1,998 $kg/m^3$ in comparison to the normal weight concrete. The lightweight aggregate pre-absorbed water showed the deferent evaporation quantity according to the water-binder ratio. As the water-binder ratio is lower, the oven dry vapour water is larger, therefore the internal curing water is increasing. In the same water-binder, comparing the normal concrete the lightweight concrete shows lower compressive strength which is due to the different strength of an aggregate. In the air dry curing, the normal weight concrete has a lower strength improvement effect in w/c 0.3 than the ratio 0.4 and 0.5. However, the strength improvement effect has increasing as the water-binder ratio was low in the light concrete.
Background : Since March 2009, when the first patient of novel influenza A (H1N1) was reported, many deaths have occurred in North and Central America. The start of the 2009 influenza pandemic was declared by WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan on 11 June 2009, and the level of influenza pandemic alert raised from phase 5 to phase 6. There was no vaccine yet developed, and many experts worried that the novel H1N1 virus could kill as many or more as did the influenza pandemic in 1918-1919. Objective : To evaluate the possibility of treatment for 2009 novel influenza A (H1N1) using herbal remedies and other non-conventional therapies. Methods : We researched the clinical studies for novel H1N1 influenza virus-related herbal medicine or non-conventional medicine treatment using internet search engines including PubMed and CNKI. In addition, we reviewed many reports and clinical practice guidelines (CPG) for influenza A (H1N1). Results : Two case series were selected after reviewing 701 papers, and two CPG published by the Chinese government and Jilin province identified. They reported that the clinical symptoms were no more significant than seasonal influenza, and the condition of patients more than 45 years old was milder than those less than 45 years old. There are no patients with gastric problems, and oseltamivir has been used at the same time in all patients. Conclusion : The efficacy and effectiveness of herbal medicine and other non-conventional treatments for the novel influenza A (H1N1) is questionable, and more studies are needed to draw a firm conclusion. However, in the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) experience in 2002/2003, it was demonstrated that herbal medicine can relieve all symptoms of SARS patients, promote absorption of lung inflammation, improve the degree of blood oxygen saturation, regulate immunological functions, reduce the required dosage of glucocorticoid and other medicines, and reduce case fatality rate. In light of the current situation that there is no vaccine or conventional treatment yet available, the study of herbal medicine and other non-conventional therapies are also necessary for appropriate evaluation.
