  • Recently, in rehabilitation treatment, the situation that requires a measure of the accuracy of the pose and movement of joints is being increased due to the habits and lifestyle of modern people and the environment. In particular, there is a need for active automated system that can determine itself for the matching rate of pose Basically, a method for measuring the matching rate of pose is used by extracting an image using the Kinect or extracting a silhouette using the imaging device. However, in the case of extracting a silhouette, it is difficult to set the comparison, and in the case of using the Kinect sensor, there is a disadvantages that high accumulated error rate according to movement. Therefore, In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the accumulated error of matching rate of pose getting the rotation angle of joint by measuring the real-time amount of change of 9-axis sensor. In particular, it can be measured same conditions that unrelated of the physical condition and unaffected by the data for the back and forth movement, because of it compares the current rotation angle of the joint. Finally, we show a comparative advantage results by compared with traditional method of extracting a silhouette and a method using a Kinect sensor.

  • Dental erosion is frequently overlooked in clinical practice. The management of erosion-induced damage to the dentition is often delayed, such that extensive occlusal rehabilitation is required. These cases can be diagnosed by a careful clinical examination and a thorough review of the patient's medical history and/or lifestyle habits. This case report presents the diagnosis, categorization, and management of a case of gastro-esophageal reflux disease-induced palatal erosion of the maxillary teeth. The early management of such cases is of utmost importance to delay or prevent the progression of damage both to the dentition and to occlusal stability. Non-invasive adhesively bonded restorations aid in achieving this goal.

  • Eating behavior change as a result of nutrition education interventions as secondary prevention strategies can contribute to an increase in life expectancy and better health for older adults in the United States (U.S.). Many of the chronic conditions prevalent in older adults are modifiable by dietary changes, including heart disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity and osteoporosis. Important demographic observations in the U.S. including the projected large increase in number of older adults by 2030 have implications for nutrition education focus and services. A comprehensive review of nutrition education interventions for older adults in the U.S. published in 1995 identified elements from adult education theories that contribute to the effectiveness of nutrition education. These elements have been the focus of more recent studies with older adults providing additional evidence for relationships between concepts from commonly used behavior change theories and dietary patterns or change. In the U.S, an important program contributing to nutritional adequacy of the diet for older adults is the Elderly Nutrition Program which provides resources for congregate dining and includes a mandatory nutrition education component. Nutrition education is also provided through clinic based programs, and print and broadcast media. Application of the Transtheoretical Model has shown that the level of interest or motivation to comply with dietary guidance may be greater for some older adults due to an increasing burden of chronic disease and poorer quality of life, while others may not feel a need to change lifestyle habits.

  • Weight control diets induce reducing women' bone mineral density (BMD) that has a close relationship to risk in osteoporosis. This study was carried out to identify bone density risk factors affecting women's BMD, and to examine the relationship age, lifestyle and dietary habits for bone health by physical measurement and questonnaies. The subjects of this study were 194 women living on the Seoul area. When the subjects were divided into 4 age groups, BMI was the highest in the 50 years group (24.8) and the lowest in the 20 years group (21.63). Average T-score, which is BMD of forearm bone and calcaneus was the highest in the 40 years (-0.07) and the lowest in the 20 years (-0.59). The rate of eating breakfast was shown significantly higher in the 50 years group than that in the younger group. The frequencies of eating out, fried food intakes, and alcohol drinks were shown significantly different by age (p < 0.01). In conclusion, the risk rate of BMD was high in the 20syears and 50 years groups. It may due to the 20s' weight-control diet. Breakfast eating, exercise, intakes of anchovies, radishes, carrots, zucchinis and tomatoes were significantly important factors to prevent bone density risk.

  • Obesity is the condition that excess fat stored in the body. Nowadays, the prevalence of obesity has greatly increased due to westernized dietary habits and changes in lifestyle. It has been proved that obesity is a risk factor of many diseases. Many methods were developed to find curative means for obesity and exercise and controlling diet were considered very effective ones. In order to find the theraputic effect of the exercise and food diary, we examined patients treated by electric accupuncture and ear accupuncture because of obesity. We observed 16 patients with obesity who visited KyungHee Univ., Kangnam Hospital of Oriental Medicine from November, 2002 to March, 2003. To rule out an bias, we excluded the patients who were treated for other disease or took medicine. Exercise in hospital was not effective for treatment of obesity, but keeping diary of diet was effcetive for the decrease of body weight(p<0.05).

  • This study intends to examine the changes found in the unit floor plans of the apartments built in Beijing from 1979 to 2018. For the 3 - bedroom type apartments, 40 unit floor plans were collected, and the changes of integration values of each space were analyzed periodically in four phases. The unit floor plans are analyzed in the context of the Space Syntax Model and compared to the lifestyle and societal changes in China. The results of the study indicate the followings: As time went by, the living room and the dining room were separated from each other with the increasing area of the apartment unit floor plans. The function of the integrated living room was dispersed, and the integration of the living room and the dining room decreased with the change of time. In the third phase, the dining room occupied the center of the unit floor plans with the highest integration value; Chinese people prefer to place the kitchen in the relatively deep place in order to prevent oil and smoke caused by their cooking habits like stir-fry; The privacy of the master bedroom has been strengthened.

  • In broadcast encryption schemes, traceability is a useful property to trace authorized subscribers, called traitors, who collude for manufacturing a pirate decoder. Unfortunately, this is usually achieved with a sacrifice of a privacy. Most traitor tracing schemes in the literature have been developed without considering a subscriber's anonymity, which is one of important requirements for electronic marketplaces to offer similar privacy as current marketplace. It would be unsatisfactory for the subscriber to reveal his/her identity to purchase multimedia contents. In this paper we propose an anonymous broadcast encryption scheme, where a user can subscribe anonymously and one purchases multimedia contents without giving a lot of information about his lifestyle, habits, and etc, but anonymity control is provided, i.e., a data supplier can date traitors.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting periodontal disease-related symptoms in adolescents using raw data from the 16th (2020) online survey on adolescent health. Methods: Data were collected from the survey entries, and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0. A multi-sample chi-square test was performed to determine periodontal disease-related symptoms according to demographic characteristics, lifestyles, exercise habits, and psychological factors. Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine factors affecting periodontal disease-related symptoms. Results: Periodontal disease-related symptoms were higher in female, high school-age adolescents, and those with lower economic status. Increased alcohol intake, having breakfast 3 days or less a week, ingesting sweet drinks and fast food three or more times a week, and zero water intake were found to have a greater effect on periodontal disease-related symptoms. Higher levels of stress, fewer hours of sleep, and feeling less healthy were also factors leading to increased periodontal disease-related symptoms. Conclusions: Adolescents have various factors that are associated with periodontal disease. A method to reduce rates of periodontal disease in adolescents should be developed, along with a school oral health education program.
