This study uses [the instrument of ageing anxiety] in order to find if a negative prejudice against the old affects the attitude toward sex of the aged. The result shows no significant relation between ageing anxiety and the knowledge of and attitude toward sex of the aged. However, it does show that the higher the ageing anxiety is, the lower the knowledge of sex and the more restrictive the attitude toward it. The knowledge of and attitude toward sex of the aged shows meaninggul changes after education. Nursing students who were educated come to have more knowledge about and are more open to it. This result supports the preposition of this study. As society grows older the endeavour to guarantee a high-quality life for the old is necessary and the old should be regarded as an entity which has its own characteristic desires. Especially for the old to enjoy a good life as a sexual being, the mystical barriers about sex and old age ought to be removed. In the future the old themselves may maintain sexual desires regardless of age and society will be required to correct its prejudice against the old having sex. Particularly nursing students, as an effort to provide the old with overall care, should examine the elderly's sexual desires in a physical, psychological, and social context and consider the normal sexual changes occuring during the aging process and finally integrate this information into their nursing plans. In order to fulfill this role successfully they should overcome their own prejudice and educate themselves about this particular problem. As the proportion of the old becomes bigger and the concern about the quality of their life grows, sex among the old will become more important in the nursing field. By putting an educational mediation programme into operation with nursing students and estimating the effect, this study supplies the foundation to activate new educational programmes. In short it tells us that education can be a practical method to confront the myth and conventions concerning sex among the aged.

A district heating(DH) system supplies environmentally-friend heat and is appropriate for reduction of energy consumption and/or air pollutions. The DH transmission pipe, composed of supply and return pipes, has been used to transmit the heat and prevent heat loss during transportation. The two types of pipes are operated at a temperature of $75\~115^{\circ}C\;and\;40\~65^{\circ}C$, respectively, with an operating pressure of less than 1.568MPa. The objectives of this paper are to systematize data processing of transition temperature and investigate its effects on fatigue life of DH pipes. For the sake of this, about 5 millions temperature data were measured during one year at ten locations, and then available fatigue lift estimation schemes were examined and applied to quantify the specific thermal fatigue life of each pipe. As a result, a relational database management system as well as reliable fatigue lift evaluation procedures is established for Korean DH pipes. Also, since the prototypal evaluation results satisfied both cycle-based and stress-based fatigue criteria, those can be used as useful information in the future fer optimal design, operation and energy saving via setting of efficient condition and stabilization of water temperature.
The 4th industrial revolution has made our life convenient, and the development of new technologies has brought affluent life. Considering that the 4th industrial revolution is a next-generation industrial revolution led by robot technology, life science, and artificial intelligence, the need for convergence research in sports field stimulated the continuous efforts for the academic foundation of sports. Recently, as interest in home training has increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pilates has also attracted much attentions demand for related supplies has increased. This is an demonstration that COVID-19 has had an impact on the sports industry ecosystem. The purpose of this study was, accordingly, to identify current trends through accurate patent information related to Pilates and to provide basic data for future studies on sports convergence industry and sports intellectual property. For the purpose, based on the data from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2021 provided by KIPRIS (www.kipris.or.kr), the patent information search service provided by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, patent status analysis, international patent classification (IPC) patent analysis, and detailed patent analysis by classification were performed.
The paper is to assess the recent changes in Architectural Artworks system in two regional districts, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and to propose policies for further improvement. We focused on four aspects: overall pass rate, top-ranked artists' pass rate, proportion of artists ever passed, genre proportion artworks. It is observed that quality of artworks has improved, market monopolization has been eased, and entry to the market has become more active. However, sculptures accounted for the majority. Public art is gradually changing from 'decorative art' to 'site-specific art', and seeking harmony between architecture and surrounding landscape. To keep pace with this new trend, more institutional efforts should be made: fund raising to induce artwork supplies; introducing life-span concept to secure removal and deformation of artwork; imposing artists' follow-up services; imposing penalties against poor management; and authorizing the committee to choose exhibition sites.
Wild progenitor species provide potential gene sources for complex traits such as yield and multiple resistances to biotic and abiotic stresses, and thus are expected to contribute to sustainable food supplies. An introgression line 'IR71033-121-15' was derived from a wild species Oryza minuta (2n = 48, BBCC, Acc No. 101141) at IRRI. Introgression analysis using 530 SSR and STS markers revealed that at least 14 chromosomal segments distributed over 12 chromosomes had been introgressed from O. minuta. An $F_{2:3}$ population from the cross between IR71033 and Junambyeo (a Korean japonica cultivar) consisting of 146 lines was used for quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis of 16 agronomic traits. A total of 36 single-locus QTLs (S-QTLs) and 45 digenic epistasis (E-QTLs) were identified. In spite of it's inferiority of O. minuta for most of the traits studied, its alleles contributed positively to 57% of the QTLs. The other QTLs originated from either parent, IR71033 or Junambyeo. QTLs for phenotypically correlated traits were mostly detected on introgressed segments. Fourteen QTLs corresponded to QTLs reported earlier, indicating that these QTLs are stable across genetic backgrounds. Twenty-two QTLs controlling yield and its components had not been detected in previous QTL studies. Of these, thirteen consisted of potentially novel alleles from O. minuta. QTLs from O. minuta introgression could be new sources of natural variation for the genetic improvement of rice.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the influential factors for the oral-health practice of adult workers and the relationship of their health-promotion life style to the factors of oral-health practice in an attempt to determine the impact of health-promotion life style. Methods : The subjects in this study were 160 workers who worked in Seoul, North-Jeolla and South-Jeolla Province, and were at the age of 20 and up. The survey was conducted from February 1 to July 20, 2011. Results : As for the relationship of the general characteristics of the workers to the factors of their health-promotion practice, gender made statistically significant differences to toothbrushing female (3.24), and there were statistically significant differences in education/concern according to more than college(2.72) scored higher academic credential(p<0.05). The group of the workers whose health-promotion life style was better in terms of all the toothbrushing(3.35), use of oral hygiene supplies(2.19), regular dental-clinic visit(2.70), dietary control(2.84) and education/concern(3.20) scored higher, and there were statistically significant differences in the factors of education/concern(p<0.05). Their health-promotion life style had an impact on regular dental-clinic visit among the factors of oral-health practice(p<0.05), and there was a positive correlation between health-promotion life style and tooth brushing, dietary control(p<0.05), regular dental-clinic visit, education and concern(p<0.01) the factors of oral-health practice. Conclusions : Workers should be stimulated to get into sound life habits to change their behavior, and they should be urged to improve their preventive health care, to get a dental checkup and ultimately to promote their health as well. In this study, main focus was analyzing whether the retired middle-aged people's life style and personal characteristics affect house selection attributes and there are any differences according to their life styles. The finding and implications of this study were as follows. The middle-aged people were trying to pursue leisurely and healthy life. Therefore, they prefer the high service quality of health, medical facilities, culture, leisure, and entertainment facilities. These trends were caused by the expansion of the five-days working styles, the improvements of the smart consumptions, the high levels of the education, and the high social and economic participations of the females. The overall changes in social, cultural, economical circumstances made them different from other generations. Also current middle-aged people were more challenging and active and they thought themselves young compared with the people of the older generation. In the future those middle-aged people's life style will be more diversified. Therefore new housing plans are necessary for the middle-aged popple to satisfy their diverse housing needs and housing circumstances. Based on the results of this study for the middle-aged people's life style and housing selection attributes after their retirement, more studies are necessary in new and different views. Furthermore diverse house supplies, housing marketing, housing policies should be provided for the middle-aged people for their retirement and need to study more their future housing satisfaction and their housing needs.

The Rio Grande Compact Commission, in collaboration with local water management entities, water users and universities established a three state Rio Grande The Rio Grande Compact Commission, in collaboration with local water management entities, water users and universities established a three state Rio Grande Salinity Management Program. The objectives of the Rio Grande Project Salinity Management Program are to reduce salinity concentrations, loading, and salinity impacts in the Rio Grande basin for the 270 mile river reach from San Acacia, New Mexico to Fort Quitman, Texasto increase usable water supplies for agricultural, urban, and environmental purposes. The focus of this first phase of the program is the development of baseline salinity and hydrologic information and a preliminary assessment of the economic impacts of salinity. An assessment of the economic impacts of salinity in this region was conducted by scientists at Texas A&M University's AgriLife Research Center at El Paso and New Mexico State University. Economic damages attributable to high salinity of Rio Grandewater were estimated for residential, agricultural, municipal, and industrial uses. The major impact issues addressed were: who is being affected the types of economic impacts the magnitude of economic damages overall and by user category and identification of threshold-effect levels for different types of water use. Salinity concentrations in this 270 mile reach of the river typically range from 480 ppm to 1,200 ppm, but can exceed 3,000 ppm in the lower section of this reach. Economic impacts include reductions in agricultural yields, reduced water appliance life, equipment replacement costs, and increased water supply costs. This preliminary economic assessment indicates annual damages of $10.5 million from increased water salinity. Under current water uses, municipal and industrial uses account for 75% of the total estimated impacts. However, agricultural impacts are based on current crop pattern yield reductions and, salinity leaching requirements and do not account for the impacts of reduced revenue from having to grow salinity tolerant, lower value crops. Actual damages are anticipated to be significantly higher with the inclusion of these additional agricultural impacts plus the future impacts from the growing population in the region. A more comprehensive economic analysis is planned for the second phase of this program. Results of the economic analysis are being used to determine the feasiblity of salinity control alternatives and what salinity reduction control measures will be pursued.
