Korea has the highest suicide rate among the OECD countries, and the suicide rate is highest among young adults in their 20s, most of whom are university students. Therefore, suicide among Korean university students is a public health issue that is of interest to us. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the suicidal ideation of university students in Korea, and to use them as a basis to establish effective intervention for university suicide prevention through it. This was a cross-sectional descriptive study using convenience sampling method. The participants were 344 university students at universities in S and G cities. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression analysis using with the SPSS/Win 23.0 program. There was a significant correlation between depression (r=.45, p<.001), drinking alcohol (r=.14, p=.008), social support (r=-.26, p<.001), quality of life (r=-.46, p<.001), and suicidal ideation. In the first step of hierarchical regression analysis, satisfaction of school life (${\beta}=.198$, p<.001) was the significant factor influencing the suicidal ideation. Explanatory power was 25.2%. In the second step of the hierarchical regression analysis, absence of parents (${\beta}=-.095$, p=.044), depression (${\beta}=.247$, p<.001), quality of life (${\beta}=-.280$, p<.001), and explanatory power were increased to 42.0%. The results of the study indicate the need to actively identify the group of university students in their 20s with high risk of suicide through continuous evaluation of depression, and to improve the quality of life as a method of preventing suicide. In addition, the effect of absence of parents on the suicidal ideation among Korean university students suggests that parental support may play an important role in suicide prevention.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the clothing management behavior and the recognition of care label of college students, as well as the effects of sex and the learning experience of clothing life area on middle and high school students. A survey consisting of 61 questions was conducted on 475 college students(240 males and 235 females) enrolled in a university in Cheongju City, and 450 college students' data were finally analyzed. The results are as follows. First, the level of washing behavior(2.54) was the lowest compared to purchasing behavior(3.13) and storage behavior(3.09). Second, college students were well aware of the attachment of fiber care labels, but 64.7% of the college students did not check the care label. About 30% of them did not know why the care labels were attached, and about 57% did not know whether manufacturers were obligated to attach them. The meaning of precautions for handling in a care label was well inferred from the symbols. Third, there was the positive effect of the learning experience of clothing life area during middle or high school on the college students' clothing management behavior and the level of recognition of a care label. This study is meaningful in confirming the positive effect of clothing life education in adolescence on adult clothing life behavior.

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among cellular phone addiction, depression, anxiety, and school life satisfaction by examining 284 elementary school students, especially the fifth and sixth graders in Gyeonggi province. This study was done by dividing two groups with top 25 percent and the lowest 25 percent of group(addicts' group vs. non-addicts' group), and 144 out of 284 elementary school students were used for this study. According to the survey, it turned out that the significant variables to predict the addiction are school life satisfaction, learning, classroom setting, and school events, including the top variables of anxiety and depression. And a further point is that relationship satisfaction, anxiety, depression, physical setting, and class satisfaction show how much students are addicted to cellular phone. Finally, this paper suggests the limitation and efficiency of the study compared to previous studies.

For this, it selected 10 athletic students as research participants majoring in golf in A University in Chungcheong-do and collected data through in-depth interviews. As for the data analysis, the coding paradigm was composed to derive concepts and clarify the relations between concepts according to the grounded theoretical analysis suggested by Strauss and Corbin (1990), and the research results are as follows: First, 117 concepts, 16 subcategories, and 10 upper categories were deducted in the open coding. Second, the causal conditions were categorized into "University Life of Contactless Classes," contextual elements into "Practical Exercise," and "Participation in Classes," and the central phenomenon was regarded as the "Meaning of University Life as a University Athletic Student (golf)." Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic, which emerged in late 2019, had a profound impact on global public health and disrupted the daily lives of people worldwide. Particularly, university students faced a challenging situation as their university life underwent a drastic transformation due to long-term remote learning and isolation measures. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between changes in daily life during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and depressive symptoms among university students aged between 19 and 29 in Korea. Methods: We analyzed data from the nationally representative 2020 Community Health Survey (CHS). Among the 229,269 participants, 9,279 university students aged 19-29, either enrolled or on leave, were selected. After excluding 401 cases with missing values, the final sample comprised 8,878 individuals. Using multivariate logistic regression with a complex sample design, we explored the association between daily life changes during the COVID-19 pandemic and depressive symptoms. Results: Changes in daily life during the COVID-19 pandemic was associated with depressive symptoms in Korean university students aged 19 to 29, even after adjusting for sociodemographic characteristics, health-related factors, and COVID-19-related aspects (OR=1.28, 95% CI=1.09~1.50). Conclusion: Our study suggests that when examining the impact of COVID-19 on health issues, it is crucial to consider the changes in daily life caused by the pandemic. These findings can provide insights into the psychological well-being of university students during times of crisis.
