An Interpretation of Verses Related to Lobes of Liver(肝葉) in the 『Yixuerumen(醫學入門)』 (『의학입문』 간엽(肝葉) 관련 문장의 새 해석)

  • Objectives : This paper aims to solve difficulties surrounding the verses related to lobes of liver in the 『Yixuerumen』. Methods : First, relevant verses were selected from the 『Yixuerumen』, then compared to texts from which they had originated. The differences and contrarieties between the texts were resolved through the perspective of plant taxonomy. Results : Wangbing's 'buye(布葉)' was taken as the seed leaf of the dicotyledonous plant and corrected to 'daye(大葉)' by Li Chan. The expression 'Yixiaoye(一小葉)' was understood as describing the many main leaves that look like one big leaf, which grow in between the seed leaves. 『Nanjing』's interpretation of there being three leaves on the left, and four on the right describes the leaf pattern that grows in alternation. Conclusions : Through analysis of the verses related to lobes of liver in the 『Yixuerumen』, we can presume that Li Chan had the knowledge and understanding required in plant taxonomy such as characteristics of a dicotyledonous plant and phyllotaxis.

The effect of acupuncture treated by tonification and sedation manipulation at LI4 and KI7 on lacking of sweating in cold environment(I) (합곡(合谷) 복류(復溜) 보사(補瀉) 시술(施術)이 소한(少汗)에 미치는 영향(影響)(I))

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the tonification & sedation manipulation for LI4 and KI7 on lacking of sweating in cold environment. Methods: The participants were divided into 3 groups as intact group without acupuncture, acupuncture group inserting and twisting with LI4 tonificaton and KI7 sedation method(LI4-tonify KI7-purge) and acupuncture group inserting and twisting with LI4 sedation and KI7 tonificaton method(LI4-purge KI7-tonify). We obtained baseline data at cold condition with the temperature $14{\pm}1^{\circ}C$. After making the participant staying in cold condition for 10 minute, we measured sweating rate in skin surface, body temperature, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, deoxy-Hb and oxy-Hb in subcutaneous. Results : After acupuncture in cold environment, the sweating rate in skin surface significantly decreased in KI7-purge LI4-tonify group comparing the intact groups. The body temperature significantly increased in LI4-tonify KI7-purge and LI4-purge KI7-tonify groups comparing the intact group. The oxygen saturation significantly increased in LI4-tonify KI7-purge group comparing the intact group. Conclusions : These findings indicated that LI4 tonificaton and KI7 sedation method(LI4-tonify KI7-purge) could be effective for production of sweating in cold condition.

Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of Solid Polymer Electrolytes Using BF3LiMA as Monomer (BF3LiMA를 단량체로 하는 고체 고분자전해질 합성과 전기화학적 특성)

  • Solid polymer electrolytes using $BF_3LiMA$ as monomer were synthesized by usual one step radical polymerization in THF solvent. The effect of $BF_3LiMA$ concentration on ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability was investigated by AC impedance measurement and linear sweep voltammetry. As a result, the highest ionic conductivity reached $7.71{\times}10^{-6}S\;cm^{-1}$ at $25^{\circ}C$ was obtained in 12.9 wt% of $BF_3LiMA$ content. Further increase or decrease of $BF_3LiMA$ content result to decrease the ionic conductivity due to the brittle matrix properties in former case and the insufficient number of charge carrier in the latter case. Furthermore, since the counter-anion was immobilized in the self-doped solid polymer electrolytes, high electrochemical stability up to 6.0 V was observed even in $60^{\circ}C$.

Properties of LiNiO2 Powders Prepared by Spray Pyrolysis Process (분무열분해 공정에 의해 합성된 LiNiO2 분말의 특성)

  • $LiNiO_2$ cathode powders with fine size have been synthesized by spray pyrolysis from the spray solution with citric acid and ethylene glycol. The as-prepared powders with spherical shape, porous structure and micron size turned into $LiNiO_2$ powders with micron size and regular morphology after post-treatment at $800^{\circ}C$. The initial discharge capacities of the $LiNiO_2$ powders changed from 199 to 171mAh/g when the concentrations of the citric acid and ethylene glycol added to the spray solutions were changed from 0 to 1 M. The maximum initial discharge capacity of the $LiNiO_2$ powders obtained from the spray solution with citric acid and ethylene glycol was 198 mAh/g when the lithium component added to the spray solution was 6 mol% excess of the stoichiometric amount. The discharge capacities of the fine-sized $LiNiO_2$ powders dropped from 198 to 163 mAh/g by the 30 th cycle at a current density of 0.1 C.

  • An electrochemical reduction of a mixture of metal oxides was conducted in a LiCl molten salt containing 3 wt% $Li_2O$ at $650^{\circ}C$. The oxide reduction was carried out by applying a current to an electrolysis cell, and the $Li_2O$ concentration was analyzed during each run. The concentration of $Li_2O$ in the electrolyte bulk phase gradually decreases according to Faraday's law due to a slow diffusion of the $O^{2-}$ ions. A hindrance effect of the unreduced metal oxides was observed for the reduction of the uranium oxide. Cs, Sr, and Ba of high heat-load fission products were diffused into and accumulated in the salt phase as predicted with thermodynamic consideration.

  • 리튬이온 2차전지의 대체 양극 후보 물질인 $LiFePO_4$를 합성하기 위하여 출발원료로 $Li_2CO_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, $NH_4H_2PO_4$를 사용하여 볼밀 방법으로 혼합 분쇄한 후 열처리를 실시하였다. 합성 시에 3가 Fe를 2가로 환원시키기 위하여 $C_{12}H_{22}O_{11}$(흑설탕)을 출발원료와 함께 5 ~ 12 wt%로 나눠서 첨가하였다. 합성 후 XRD로 결정구조의 양질성을 확인하였고. FE-SEM으로 나노미터 크기의 구형 입자를 관찰하였다. XRF를 이용하여 3 ~ 10 wt%의 탄소 잔량을 확인하였다. 전기화학적 특성을 충 방전시험기로 평가한 결과, 8wt%의 탄소원을 첨가한 $LiFePO_4$에서 가장 좋은 수명 특성을 얻었고, 최대 145 mAh/g의 방전용량을 얻었다.

The Origin and Changes of True-cold Damage(正傷寒) in Introduction to Medicine(醫學入門) (『의학입문(醫學入門)·상한편(傷寒篇)』 편제(編制) 중 정상한(正傷寒)의 명칭, 병명분류의 기원과 그 후 변화)

  • Objectives : The goal of this paper is to research what the name and concept of true-cold damage in Introduction to Medicine were originated from, and to trace the origin and changes of categorization of it after the book. Methods : Books concerned with true-cold damage were collected as many as possible, besides ones that Introduction to Medicine referred to, before the name, concept and categorization of it were searched and analysed. Results : The concept of true-cold damage in Introduction to Medicine, which had come from Lei Zheong Huo Ren Shu(類證活人書) in Song dynasty, was more similar to one of cold damage in a broad sense. The name that Li Chan appreciated, was derived from not Shang Han Zhi Ge(傷寒直格), but Shang Han Zheng Zhi Ming Tiao(傷寒證治明條) in Song dynasty. On the other hand, since Tao Hua(陶華) began to go into the details of cold damage in a narrow sense, most books had followed it. Whereas 11 diseases among 24 diseases of true-cold damage in Introduction to Medicine indirectly came from Lei Zheong Huo Ren Shu(12 diseases), 14 diseases among them were directly derived from Shang Han Zheng Zhi Ming Tiao(16 diseases) and 10 diseases were added containing syndromes of retained fluid and jaundice. The categorization in Introduction to Medicine scarcely adopted except Donguibogam(東醫寶鑑) and Uimunbogam(醫門寶鑑), while the categorization of true-cold damage in a narrow sense was mostly composed of 2 diseases, that is cold damage(傷寒) and wind damage(傷風). Conclusions : Li Chan had fulfilled the total conditions in which the concept, cause, symptoms, prescriptions and prognosis of 24 diseases in true-cold damage were equipped, in order to build up the system and categorization of it. To our regret, his scientific outcome had been hardly referred after his book.
