This paper describes the extended pivot-based approach for bilingual lexicon extraction. The basic features of the approach can be described as follows: First, the approach builds context vectors between a source (or target) language and a pivot language like English, respectively. This is the same as the standard pivot-based approach which is useful for extracting bilingual lexicons between low-resource languages such as Korean-French. Second, unlike the standard pivot-based approach, the approach looks for similar context vectors in a source language. This is helpful to extract translation candidates for polysemous words as well as lets the translations be more confident. Third, the approach extracts translation candidates from target context vectors through the similarity between source and target context vectors. Based on these features, this paper describes the extended pivot-based approach and does various experiments in a language pair, Korean-French (KR-FR). We have observed that the approach is useful for extracting the most proper translation candidate as well as for a low-resource language pair.

어휘와 언어에 대한 연구는 이를 사용하는 개인들이 포함된 공동체의 관심과 가치, 실천 관행에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 10개국이 참여한 국제 교실수업 어휘 프로젝트(The International Classroom Lexicon Project)는 자국의 수학 교실 수업과 관련하여, 교사가 바라보고 명명하는 구어적 입장에서 수학 교실수업 어휘 연구를 진행하여 어휘를 확인하고 정리하였다. 본 연구는 이 국제 교실수업 어휘 프로젝트 연구의 확장으로, 전국수학교사모임에서 발행하는 수학교사 전문 잡지인 「수학과 교육」에 사용된 교수학적 어휘를 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 이용하여 조사하고, 통시적 관점에서 최근 10년간 시간의 흐름에 따라 이러한 교수학적 어휘가 양적으로 어떻게 변화하였는지를 관찰하였다. 연구 결과, 선행연구에서 발견되지 않은 새로운 교수학적 어휘를 발견할 수 있었다. 또한, 이러한 교수학적 어휘 중 시간의 흐름에 따라 출현 빈도가 유의하게 증가하는 어휘와 단기간에 갑자기 출현(급증)하는 어휘를 발견할 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 수학교사를 위한, 그리고 수학교사에 의한 전문 잡지를 중심으로 이루어진 문어적 공동체 수학교사의 관심의 변화를 살펴볼 수 있었고, 나아가 이러한 관심의 변화를 사회문화적·사건적·시대적 맥락에 비추어 봄으로써 이들의 가치와 시대적 정신의 변화를 조심스럽게 해석할 수 있었다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구는 지난 10년간 시대의 변화에 따른 한국의 수학교사 공동체에서의 수학교육에 대한 관심과 가치, 시대적 정신을 이해하는 첫 걸음으로서 가치를 지니고 있다. 또한, 텍스트 마이닝 기법이 이러한 시대변화에 따른 관심과 가치, 시대적 정신의 변화에 대한 연구를 수행할 수 있는 방법론적인 기여를 제공한다.

본 논문에서는 페이스북에 게시된 글의 어휘 분석 및 호불호를 평가하여, 게시된 글에 대한 정확한 평가를 할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하였다. 기존 평가시 스템과의 성능 비교를 통하여 제안 시스템의 평가 정확도가 높음을 확인하였다.

이글은 한국어 형태소 분석시 발생하는 중의성의 유형에 대해서 논의하고, 그와 같은 여러 유형의 중의성의 발생율을 감소시키기 위한 방법으로써 '어절 정보 사전 시스템'의 구축을 강조하였다. 한국어 문서에 대한 형태소 분석시 발생하는 중의성은, 영어나 유럽어와는 달리, 어휘 형성 정보 뿐아니라 어절 형성 정보, 구문 구조에 관한 부분적인 정보까지도 제공되어야 비로소 해소될 수 있는 경우가 많아 이와 같은 정보를 얻어내기 위해서는 체계적으로 고안된 범용의 사전 (Lexicon)이 필요하다. 여기에서는 접사가 동반되어 구성될 수 있는 '파생 명사(Affixed Noun)'들의 경우에 논의의 범위를 제한하였다. 실제로, 체계적으로 구성된 하나의 파생어 사전은. 주어진 어절에 대한 형태소 분절시 발생할 수 있는 엄청난 수의 중의적 가능성을 해소해 줄 수 있는데. 이와 같은 사전을 구축하기 위해서는 단순어와 접사 사전이 모듈화되어 완성되어야 한다. 같은 방법으로 모든 합성어 유형에 대한 사전이 구축되고, 그러한 기본 형태들에 대한 '변화형' 사전이 결합되면 어절 정보를 갖춘 대용량의 한국어 MRD의 구현이 가능해질 것이다.

This paper presents an acoustic and phonological study of the alveolar flaps in American English. Based on the Buckeye Corpus, the flapping tokens produced by twenty men are analyzed at both lexical and post-lexical levels. The data, analyzed with Pratt speech analysis, include duration, F2 and F3 in voicing during the flap, as well as duration, F1, F2, F3, and f0 in the adjacent vowels. The results provide evidence on two issues: (1) The different ways in which voiced and voiceless alveolar stops give rise to neutralized flapping stops by following lexical and post-lexical levels, (2) The extent to which the vowel features (height, frontness, and tenseness) affect flapping sounds. The results show that flaps are affected by pre-consonantal vowel features at the lexical as well as post-lexical levels. Unlike previous studies, this study uses the Praat method to distinguish flapped from unflapped tokens in the Buckeye Corpus and examines connections between the lexical and post-lexical levels.
