  • Wideness variation technique is compounded the smooth diffusivity-vibration status of the fulgurate-space realization level (FSRL) on the wideness realization morph. The realization level condition by the wideness realization morph system is associated with the diffusivity-vibration system. As to search a position of the dot situation, we are acquired of the wideness value with constructed-point point by the diffusivity upper structure. The concept of realization level is composed the reference of fulgurate-space level for variation signal by the wideness vibration morph. Further displaying a smooth variation of the FSRL of the maximum-minimum in terms of the diffusivity-vibration morph, and wideness position vibration that was the a wideness value of the far variation of the $Wid-rm-FA-{\alpha}_{MAX-MIN}$ with $23.24{\pm}3.37units$, that was the a wideness value of the convenient variation of the $Wid-rm-CO-{\alpha}_{MAX-MIN}$ with $7.83{\pm}1.32units$, that was the a wideness value of the flank variation of the $Wid-rm-FL-{\alpha}_{MAX-MIN}$ with $2.99{\pm}0.51units$, that was the a wideness value of the vicinage variation of the $Wid-rm-VI-{\alpha}_{MAX-MIN}$ with $0.51{\pm}(-0.01)units$. The diffusivity vibration will be to evaluate at the smooth ability of the diffusivity-vibration morph with constructed-point by the wideness realization level on the FSRL that is displayed the fulgurate-space morph by the realization level system. • We observed sea level variation of the long time at Kerguelen island in the South Indian Ocean with ARGOS data and meteorological data during about 1 year(May 1993~March 1994) through using filter, spectral analysis, coherency and phase, and found characteristics for the two oceanic signal levels(detided oceanic signal level, h$_{detided}$ and seasonal oceanic level, h$_{corr.ib}$). The forms of variations are very well agreed to between ARGOS data and meteorological data for atmospheric pressure in the observed periods. The seasonal difference of sea level between Summer and Winter is about 1.6cm. Both the detided oceanic signal level(h$_{detided}$) variation and the inverted barometer level(h$_{ib}$) variation have a strong correlation for T>1day period bands. Characteristics of h$_{detided}$ variation are decided not by the influence of any meteorological distributions (pressure, winds, etc), but the influence of another factors(temperature, salinity, etc.) for T>2days periods bands. h$_{corr.ib}$ plays an very important role of sea level variation of the long time term(especially T>about 180days period bands).

  • Internal cracks in products are invisible and can lead to fatal crashes or damage. Since X-rays can penetrate materials and be attenuated according to the material’s thickness and density, they have rapidly become the accepted technology for non-destructive inspection of internal cracks. This paper presents a robust crack filter based on local gray level variation and multiscale analysis for automatic detection of cracks in X-ray images. The proposed filter takes advantage of the image gray level and its local variations to detect cracks in the X-ray image. To overcome the problems of image noise and the non-uniform intensity of the X-ray image, a new method of estimating the local gray level variation is proposed in this paper. In order to detect various sizes of crack, this paper proposes using different neighboring distances to construct an image pyramid for multiscale analysis. By use of local gray level variation and multiscale analysis, the proposed crack filter is able to detect cracks of various sizes in X-ray images while contending with the problems of noise and non-uniform intensity. Experimental results show that the proposed crack filter outperforms the Gaussian model based crack filter and the LBP model based method in terms of detection accuracy, false detection ratio and processing speed.

  • We studied the sea level variations at Kerguelen island in the South Indian Ocean with ARGOS data and meteorological data during about 1 year(May 1993~April 1994) through using filter, spectral analysis, coherency and phase, and found characteristics for the two oceanic signal levels(detided oceanic signal level, h$_{detided}$ and seasonal oceanic level, h$_{corr.ib}$). The forms of atmospheric pressure variations are good agreed to between ARGOS data and meteorological data in the observed periods. This Kerguelen area shows the inflow of an air temperature(gain of a radiant heat) into the sea water and the stagnation of high atmospheric pressure bands in summer, and the outflow of a sea water temperature(loss of sensible and latent heat) toward the atmosphere and the stagnation of low atmospheric pressure bands in winter. The seasonal difference of sea level between summer and winter is about 1.6cm. Both the detided oceanic signal level(h$_{detided}$) variation and the inverted barometer level(h$_{ib}$) variation have a strong correlation for T>1day period bands. The characteristics of h$_{detided}$ variation are not decided by the influence of any meteorological distributions (atmospheric pressure), but the influence of other factors(bottom water temperature) for T>2days periods bands. h$_{corr.ib}$ plays a very important role of sea level variation in the observed periods (especially T>about 180days period bands).

  • The variability of a ventilated filter cigarette depends on the details of its construction and one properties of its components and the variations in filter ventilation is effected by many factors such as tobacco column pressure drop, filter pressure drop, tipping paper and plug wrap permeability, and vent position. In this study, the effects of combination of tipping paper and plug wrap on filter ventilation of cigarettes were studied for the target ventilation level under the specific tobacco column and filter tip in order to reduce the variation of filter ventilation. When Nicolas Baskevitch\`s equation on filter ventilation was used to try out Monte Carlo Simulation, at the combination where tipping paper permeability is high and plug wrap permeability is low, even the small change in tipping paper and plug wrap permeability showed high variation of target ventilation level. Also, according to the analysis data of filter ventilation in cigarettes designed at the level of 45% filter ventilation by the combinations with tipping paper and plug wrap, the variation in cigarette filter ventilation was increased as increasing tipping paper permeability and decreasing plug wrap permeability. As the results of this study, the variation of filter ventilation can be reduced by increasing plug wrap permeability/tipping paper permeability ratio in the cigarette design, considering 2-3% of tipping paper permeability variation(%CV) and about 10% of plugwrap permeability variation.

  • A merged altimeter data products are used to estimate sea level variation in the East Sea between 1993 and 2006. The altimeter data show a high correlation coefficient (0.85) after applying gaussian low pass filter for 180days at Ulleung island. The both of Mukho coast and Ulleung island are minimal sea level in March to May and maximal in September to November. Sea level of Mukho coast is higher than that of Ulleung island during March to May, while Mukho coast is lower during September to November because the North Korea Cold Current flows along the coast line of Mukho. Generally sea level variation at Mukho coast and Ulleung island associated with seasonal variations.

  • Background: This study investigates the influence factors of medical service variations using medical charge and the length of stay (LOS) for urinary incontinence surgery and uterine polypectomy. Methods: The National Health Insurance claims data and Medical Resource Report by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service in 2016 were used. Frequency analysis, one-way analysis of variance, and Bonferroni post-hoc tests were executed for each surgery. A multilevel analysis was executed to assess the factors to the medical charge and LOS for each surgery in patient, doctor, and hospital level. Results: Fifty-two point eight percent of urinary incontinence surgery and 87.1% of uterine polypectomy were distributed in general and tertiary hospitals. Among three levels, the patient level variation was 61.5% or 77.2% in medical charge and 93.9% or 96.3% in LOS, respectively. The doctor level variation was 29.6% or 22.6% in medical charge and 0.6% or 0.0% in LOS, respectively. The institution level variation was 8.9% or 0.2% in medical charge and 5.5% or 3.7% in LOS, respectively. Number of other disease and organizational type were main factors that affected the charge and LOS for urinary incontinence surgery and uterine polypectomy. Conclusion: Medical service variations of the urinary incontinence surgery and uterine polypectomy were the largest for the patient level, followed by doctor level for the medical charge, and the institution level for the LOS.

  • A relationship between sea level variations in the Korea Strait (the western and the eastern channels) and the Tokara Strait in the Kuroshio region is examined using daily-mean sea level data from 1966 to 1986. The seasonal variation of the sea level difference (SLD) between Izuhara and Pusan (the western channel) is most periodic: the positive anomalies appear from summer to autumn, and the negative anomalies from winter to spring year to year, whereas SLDs neither between Hakata and Izuhara (the eastern channel) nor between Naze and Nishinoomote (the Tokara Strait) show such a periodic variation. Much similarity has been found between SLDs in the eastern channel and the Tokara Strait, and in particular they were closely correlated in a special event of the Kuroshio region, such as a large meander of the Kuroshio. This paper shows that the periodic seasonal variation of the SLDs in the western channel should be less related to the Kuroshio region. This result also implies that the variation of SLD in the western channel is largely influenced by local factors, such as the bottom cold water in the western channel in summer, rather than from the Kuroshio region.
