  • In this paper, we propose that it is necessary to expand the programs in the future, Iand it should be possible to activate and to participate the programs continuously, because the higher the participation in leisure program is, the higher life satisfaction.. The Korean Senior Citizens Association has a branch in each province and is used as a place where voluntarily provide friendship activities, hobbies for elderly people aged 65 and information exchange with other leisure activities. However, it was considered to be only a cursory space a few years ago, unlike the activation of leisure programs for the elderly welfare center. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of satisfaction of leisure program by type on life satisfaction of users who have experience in elderly university. The subjective health status and the residential type of participating elderly people differ in their life satisfaction. Therefore, it is important for the elderly to have regular health checkups and to maintain a stable residential style. And also, the experiment results show that life satisfaction was higher when leisure program use satisfaction was higher - especially, satisfaction with health program and health care program was higher.

This research compares athleisure wear purchase behavior among the three groups segmented by participation motives for sports and leisure activity. An online survey on male and female consumers between the ages of 20 and 50 provided 319 responses that were analyzed using SPSS 20.0. The factor analysis and reliability analysis, cluster analysis, variance analysis, Duncan test, and Chi square test were conducted. The results were: 1) From a result of the factor analysis on consumers' sports leisure participation motives clearly showed factorial structures including social interaction, physical health, and pleasant feeling. 2) Cluster analysis indicated three groups of participation motives in sports and leisure activity such as passive motivating type, social interaction type, and wellness type. 3) Consumer groups showed significant differences in purchase reasons, preferred brands, product items, and pursued performance attributes for purchasing athleisure wear products.

  • This research puts the purpose in elucidating the effect of participation types of leisure activity and leisure restraints on life quality. To achieve research purpose, questionnaire survey was conducted on 200 subjects who are engaged in private guard companies with ages over 20. Using the collected data, frequency analysis was conducted in order to identify demographic characteristics with SPSS/WIN 17.0V program. In addition, multiple regression analysis was conducted for solving research questions. As a result, sports related participation type had a positive effect on time constraint factor. Meanwhile, hobby related participation type had a positive effect on time and cost constraint, participation type of watching has a positive effect on individual and social constraint. Tour and play related participation type had a positive effect on individual constraint factor. Meanwhile participation type of sociality had a positive effect on individual constraint and hobby factor, but had a negative effect on familial and social constraint. Sports related participation type had a positive effect on social relationship factor. Participation type of watching and play related participation type had a negative effect on family relationship. Finally, time constraint factor had a positive effect on family relationship, and cost constraint factor had a positive effect on entire quality of life. Individual and family constraint factors had a negative effect on leisure relationship factor. Also, social constraint factor had a positive effect on family relationship, but had a negative effect on leisure relationship.

  • This study was to examine the effect of standards of selecting jeans and appearance management behavior on leisure lifestyle. Questionnaires were administered to 253 college students living in Deagu and Kyoungbuk. Data were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, regression analysis, t-test, and ${\chi}^2$-test. The findings are as follows. Factor structure of each concept appeared to be brand-valued, functionality valued and design-valued for standards of selecting jeans, diet management, exercise management, weight management and appearance satisfaction. Leisure lifestyle consisted of sports activity-type, sociality-type and self-management-type while value lifestyle consisted of active sociality-oriented, family-oriented and economic feasibility-oriented. There was a significant difference in brand-valued and design-valued of standards of selecting jeans and in frequency of wearing jeans male students showed higher than female students. The result of this study showed brand-valued, diet management, exercise management, weight management, and appearance satisfaction had significant effect on sports activity-type and design-valued and weight management had significant effect on sociality-type. Brand-valued affected self-management-type significantly and brand-valued, design-valued, diet management and appearance satisfaction had a significant effect on active sociality-oriented and brand-valued and diet management affected family-oriented.

The purpose of this research was to identify types of leisure time with whom and determinants of the types. The data source for this research was the '2009 Time Use Survey' conducted by the Korea National Statistical Office (KNSO). The item 'people involved in each activity' was surveyed for the first time by KNSO in 2009. 3,712 diaries completed by married adults aged 20 to 59 years were analyzed using chi-square, cluster analysis, and logistic regression analysis. Leisure time with whom was classified into four types based on three categories of leisure time (alone, with family, with others): "individual-oriented leisure," "family-oriented leisure," "others-oriented leisure," and "vulnerable leisure." These types were different by various socio-economic variables. And gender, work time, the presence of preschool children, and household type were identified as important determinants for the types.

  • The propulsion type of a small boats mainly were divided that the In-board and In out-board position located engine. The boats of the In-board and In out-board engine individually were propelled by propeller and stern drive. In this paper, 39feet-class leisure boats with propulsion type of In-board and In.out-board engine were performed to compare the effect of resistance performance using model test. As a result, leisure boat with In out-board engine is ascertained the optimum boat affects the speed and fuel efficiency.

  • This research aims to investigate the life-style and types of leisure experienced among airline flight attendants during temporary stays abroad. In this study 2 hypotheses based on literature reviews were employed. Questionnaires were also developed based on data collected from previous studies. Subjects of the study were focused on flight attendants in Legacy Airlines. Factor analysis and reliability coefficients were used to examine the internal consistency among variables. Seven dimensions of leisure, which are cultural experience, pursuit of success, social orientation, humanity, pursuit of fashion, shopping preferences and health-orientation were identified from factor analysis. Three dimensions of leisure, which include type of rest, type of sports, and activity of tourists, were identified from factor analysis accordingly. Lifestyle factors were extracted from a result of cluster analysis, cluster 1- Passive lifestyle, Active lifestyle community type 2, and Cluster 3 analyzed Self-satisfied lifestyle types. Airline cabin crew workers involved in the life style analysis can make good use of leisure time.

  • A leisure ship has a stand-alone type power system, and a generator is in use on this condition. But the generator cannot be operated in condition of leisure activity, ocean measurement and etc, because of environment and noise. Recently, renewable energy system is connected with power system of the leisure-ship for saving energy. The renewable energy system can not supply the stable power to leisure-ship because power generation changes according to weather condition. And most of the leisure ship is operated without methodical power management system. This study's purpose is to develop SPMS(Smart Power Management System) algorithm using the renewable energy (photovoltaic, wind power and etc.). The proposed algorithm is able to supply stable the power according to operation mode. Furthermore, the SPMS manages electric load (sailing and communication equipment, TV, fan, etc.) and reduces operating times of the generator. In this paper, the proposed algorithm is realized and executed by using LabVIEW. As a result, the hour for operating the generator is minimized.
