The purpose of this research is to analyze and understand MTB(mountain bike) participants' life in subcultural perspective. This research was completed by 8 people live in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon who regularly participated their activity and changed their job to MTB. Observe them by participation, in-depth interview, field notes and researcher's daily records were methods to collect these data. To accomplish this purpose of study, I chose ethnographic Research. As a result, feeling doubt of their previous life, be caught in unique fun of MTB that made them to think MTB leisure seriously as a job, experience of its professionalism they learnt, and changed their job voluntarily were majority opinions. After they changed their job, they seems to have weisure life, more enthusiastic, got positive attitudes than before. Final conclusion of this report is 'close relationship between MTB facility and day life ' and 'tourism's attraction brought them to change their job. This changes gave them satisfaction to their personal life. In socially, it made a large contribution for development of leisure industry by creating new jobs like MTB tour guide and MTB assemblyman.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between lifestyle and health status among employees in a community. The participants were 199 white collar workers in J city. Data were collected from August 7 to 24, 2012 using the self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson coefficient correlation with SPSS/Win 17.0. There was a statistically significant correlation between lifestyle and health status(r= .164, p= .020). Mental component summary of health status was a statistically significant correlated with leisure activity(r= .270, p= .000) and regular exercise(r= .180, p= .011). Therefore, this study provided support for associations between lifestyle and health status. We suggest that strategies to emphasize leisure activity and regular exercise would be important for white collar workers to improve their mental health.

The data were collected on January 18-30, 2018. 120 people in the M city, has participated in more than 65 years older. data were analyzed using frequency, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVAs, and Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study showed that current satisfaction of welfare center users is statistically different from 'attitude toward life', 'acceptance of lifetime', 'satisfaction of present life' of ego integrity. Self - integration sense showed 28.3% explanatory power in current life. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between recreation specialization of bicycle riders and purchase decision factors for bicycle products. A total of 351 respondents were selected using the stratified sampling method. From the statistical analyses, two meaningful results were extracted. First, there were significant difference in specialization sub-factors and purchase decision factors on the base of demographical characteristics. Specially, riding club participants were most different from non-participants in all factors. Second, some specialization sub-factors influenced some purchase decision factors positively, or negatively. In special, emotional specialization had positive effects most significantly on many factors of purchase decision. Cognitive specialization, however, had no any effect on purchase decision factors. Moreover, behavioral specialization had negative effects on some purchase decision factors.

Prevalence of childhood obesity is increasing significantly worldwide due to energy imbalance perhaps stemming from undesirable dietary behavior and physical activity level. The objective of the study was to examine the effects of physical activity level on nutritional status in elementary school students. The subjects were comprised of 287 elementary school students between 4th and 6th grades in Seoul, Korea. The level of physical activity was scored with a modified Godin leisure-time exercise questionnaire and was categorized as active, moderately active, and sedentary. Dietary intakes were obtained using a 24-hour food recall method. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to test for global significant differences of nutrient intakes by physical activity level. Boys were more active than girls. Daily intakes of energy in moderately active boys were significantly higher than in the sedentary group, but intakes of calcium and iron in moderately active boys were lower than active boys. For girls, physical activity level did not affect nutrient density at all. Intakes of calcium, vitamin C, and folate for both boys and girls were below 50% of recommended intake. Physical activity did not affect nutrient density and our participants were exposed to nutritional imbalance. Therefore, the results suggest that nutrition education regarding balanced diet and optimum physical activity is required for children's health and growth.
This study investigated Korean elementary school children's happiness by gender and grade and by attendance in after-school programs during weekdays and weekends. Participants were 3,608 children in Korean provincial areas except Jeju-do; they responded to the Happiness Scale developed by the researchers. Data were analyzed by frequency, percent, and t-test. Results were (1) children's happiness level was high; girls' happiness level was higher than boys'. As they moved up in school grade, happiness level decreased. (2) Their attendance in after-school programs during weekdays and weekends decreased their happiness level in leisure and extra academic activity, but it increased happiness in school/community life and sibling relations. Conclusions were that reduction in the amount of children's after-school programming would increase children's happiness.

This study was conducted to investigate the time spent, activity coefficient and energy expenditure on 7 different types of activity. Total of 386 5th and 6th grade primary school boys and girls in Seoul participated in this study. The participants spent 8 hrs for rest, 4 hrs for out of school study, 3 hrs for leisure, 1 hr 45 mins. for hygiene, 1 hr for commute, and 15 mins. for house choir activity in the day of 6 class hours. The average activity coefficient of 1 day for boys and girls were 1.69 and 1.64, respectively. The TEEs were 2,382 kcal and 2,050 kcal for boys and girls, respectively. The energy cost for study related activity (in school and study activities) was 40% of the TEE, and for rest 20%, for commute 9%, and for hygiene 10% of the TEE. The energy cost for house choir was only about 2% of TEE. The 91.2% participant's EER was higher than the EER shown in the table of 2010 DRI for Koreans. When the participant's EER was compared with the energy allowance calculated by the method in 2000 RDA for Korean, 81.6% was in the range of ${\pm}5%$, and the correlation coefficients between the 2 values were 0.981 for boys and 0.978 for girls, which means high agreements.
