This study aims at grasping the relativity between laborers' yangseng level and stress so as to present the groundwork for preventive oriental medicine approach in industrial health. The researcher prepared the questionnaire on general character, - health-related yangseng level and chose 632 people to execute Autonomic balance test through heartbeat change. The collected material was analyzed by SPSS and tested by T-test, ANOVA The general yangseng level average is 3.27, morality yangseng 3.91, sleep yangseng 3.39, mind yangseng 3.32, sex life yangseng 3.29, exercise yangseng 3.14, activities and rest yangseng 3.07, diet yangseng 2.95, seasonal yangseng 2.84. The highest is morality yangseng and seasonal yangseng is the lowest. In the aspect of yangseng level: Having a spouse, Non-smoking, Non-drinking, Regular exercising, Sufficient sleeping have higher yangseng levels. In Autonomic balance test, age from 35 to 40 has the highest autonomic activity and job period from 5 years to 10 years has the highest stress resistance. Non-smokers have high autonomic activity and stress resistance. Further, have low autonomic balance, stress index and fatigue strength. In the case of regular exercising person, he/she has high autonomic activity and stress resistance with low stress index. Regarding sleeping time, autonomic balance is the highest when he/she sleeps less than 6 hours. Stress resistance is the highest when he/she sleeps 7 hours and stress index is the highest when he/she sleeps 6 hours. After comparing the relativity between yangseng level autonomic balance test, only exercise yangseng has plus factor on autonomic activity and stress resistance and minus factor on stress index and fatigue strength. Yangseng level has been affected by individual character and daily habits. Also stress is more influenced by daily habits than by individual character. We can find the relativity of exercise yangseng between yangseng and stress which suggests that we need to take measures to win over stresses in individual health in the near future.
The objective of this paper is to assess the service life and retrain methods of specimens, which were subjected to carbonation attack, obtained from mix proportion of Sam-cheok LNG storage tank under construction. As the results, accelerated-carbonation penetration depths of 7, 28, 56 ages indicated 4.45, 9.19, 13.37mm, and even considering for cover depths of steel of LNG storage tank under real operation, it was enough. In addition, with carbonation velocity coefficient calculated by carbonation penetration depths, the service life to design cover depth(70, 80, 90, 100mm) of PC outer tank of LNG storage tank was 779, 1017, 1287, 1589 years and 466, 609, 771, 951 years, respectively, considering the $CO_2$ concentration in air which account for the 0.03% and 0.05%. Also, the restrain methods to carbonation attack were feasible through controlling the factors affecting the changes of hydration products such as $Ca(OH)_2$, ion composition in pore solution and matter mobility of organization structures within hardened concrete.
This paper describes the stability evaluation of reinforced earth wall with steel framed-facing based on field test. The reinforced earth wall with steel framed-facing is composed of wall facing, reinforcement and backfill soil. The wall facing is assembled by steel frames and the aggregates are filled in that. The reinforcement is steel strip type based on bearing resistance. Field test is conducted to evaluate for two separate sections and the measurement is conducted according to construction elapsed time of structure for earth pressure, horizontal displacement of wall facing and reinforcement strain. The evaluation results show that the measured earth pressure is less than theoretical earth pressure due to dispersion effect of earth pressure by the applied reinforcement. Also, the horizontal displacement of wall facing satisfied a empirical criteria and the measured strain of reinforcement had nearly no effect on stability of structure. Therefore, the reinforced earth wall with steel framed-facing has a structural stability and it can be commonly used in field.

The present study evaluated the effects of different cutting height on nutritive value, fermentation quality, in vitro and in vivo digestibility of whole crop barley silage. Whole crop barley forage (Yuyeon hybrid) was harvested at height of 5, 10, and 15 cm from the ground level. Each cutting height was rolled to make round bale and ensiled for 100 days. After 100 days of ensiling, pH of silage was lower (p<0.05) in 5 cm, but no difference between 10 and 15 cm of cutting height. The content of lactate and lactate to acetate ratio were increased (p<0.05) in 5 cm of cutting height, whereas the acetate content was higher (p<0.05) in 10 and 15 cm than that of 5 cm cutting height. Aerobic stability was greater (p<0.05) in silages of 10 and 15 cm of cutting height. Three total mixed rations (TMR) were formulated with silages from the three different cutting heights (TMR5, TMR10, and TMR15) incorporated as forage at 70:30 ratio with concentrate (dry matter [DM] basis). In vitro dry matter digestibility was higher (p<0.05) in the TMR5 and TMR10 than that in TMR15, whereas in vitro neutral detergent fiber digestibility was higher (p<0.05) in the TMR10 and TMR15 than that in TMR5. Concentration of $NH_3-N$ was highest (p<0.05) in the TMR10 followed by TMR15 and TMR5. Total volatile fatty acid was decreased (p<0.05) with increased cutting height. The digestibility of DM and neutral detergent fiber were highest (p<0.05) in TMR15, than those in TMR5 and TMR10, whereas acid detergent fiber digestibility was higher (p<0.05) in TMR5 than that in TMR10. The results showed that increasing cutting height, at least up to 10 to 15 cm, of whole crop barley forage at harvest (Yuyeon) may be beneficial for making silage for TMR formulation and increasing digestibility of DM and NDF.

The CT number corresponds to electron density and its influence on dose calculation was studied. Five kinds of CT scanners were used to obtain Images of electron density calibration phantom (Gammex RMI 467), Then the differences between CT numbers for each scanners were ${\pm}2\%$ In homogeneous medium and $9.5\%$ in high density medium. In order to Investigate the influence of CT number to dose calculation, patients' thoracic CT images were analyzed. The maximum dose difference was $0.48\%$ for each organ. It acquired the phantom Images inserted high density material in the water phantom. Comparing the doses calculated with CT Images from each CT scanner, the maximum dose difference was $2.1\%$ in 20 cm in depth. The exact density to CT number conversion according to CT scanner is required to minimize the uncertainty of dose depends on CT number Especially the each hospital with various CT scanners has to discriminate CT numbers for each CT scanner. Moreover a periodic quality assurance is required for reproducibility of CT number.

The present study used a digital angiography x-ray device to measure the space dose and exposure dose of patients and practitioners using x-ray tube shielding devices developed in our laboratory. The intent of the study was to reduce the space dose within the test room, and to reduce the exposure dose of patients and practitioners. The patient and practitioner exposure doses were measured in five configurations in a human body model. The glass dosimeter was placed on the eye lenses, thyroid glands, left shoulder, right shoulder, and gonads. The beam was collimated at full size and at a 48% reduction for a comparative analysis of the measurements. The space dose was measured with an ion chamber at distances of 50 cm, 100 cm, and 150 cm from the x-ray tube under the following conditions: no shielding device; a shielding device made of 3-mm-thick lead (Pb) [Pb 3 mm shield], and a shielding device made of 3-mm-thick Pb (outside) and 3-mm-thick aluminum (Al) (inside) [Pb 3 mm+Al 3 mm shield]. The absorbed dose was the lowest when the 3-mm-thick Pb+3-mm-thick Al shield was used. For measurements made with collimated beams with a 48% reduction, the dose was the lowest at $154{\mu}Gy$ when the 3-mm-thick Pb+3-mm-thick Al shield was used, and was $9{\mu}Gy$ lower than the measurements made with no shielding device. If the space dose can be reduced by 20% in all situations where the C-arm is employed by using the x-ray tube shielding devices developed in our laboratory, this is expected to play an important role in reducing the annual exposure dose for patients, practitioners, and assistants.
Background : Computer- and web-based simulation methods help students develop problem solving and decision making skills. In addition, they provide reality based learning to the student clinical experience with immediate medical feedback as well as repetitive training, on-site reviews and case closure. Materials and Methods : Seventy-five third-year medical students participated in a two-week simulation program. The students selected four modules from eight modules as follows: airway and breathing 1, cardiac arrest 1, cardiac arrhythmia 1, and chest pain 1, and then selected the first case within each of the modules. After 2 weeks, a pass score was obtained and the data analyzed. The average pass score of over 70% was considered a passing grade for each module. If the student did not pass each module, there was no score (i.e., pass score was zero). In addition, when at least one of the four modules was zero, the student was not included in this study. Results : Seventy-five students participated in the simulation program. Nineteen students were excluded based on their performance. The final number of students studied was 56 students (74.7%). The average scores for each module 1 to 4 were 86.7%, 85.3%, 84.0%, and 84.0%, and the average obtained pass score was 88.6 for the four modules in all 56 students. Conclusion : Medical simulation enabled students to experience realistic patient situations as part of medical learning. However, it has not been incorporated into traditional educational methodology. Here we describe the introduction and the development of various simulation modules and technologies for medical education.

Two consecutive feeding trials investigated the effects of feeding rate and pellet expansion by water-soaking on the growth performance, blood components and histology of olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. The first two experiments were carried out to determine the effects of pellet expansion and feeding rate. In the first experiment, growth performance, feed utilization and survival of fish were not significantly affected by pellet expansion for six weeks. There were no significant differences in hematocrit, hemoglobin, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, glucose and total protein of fish fed the expanded pellet. However, whole-body lipid content of fish in the non-expanded group was significantly higher than that in the expanded group. Histological analysis of the anterior intestine revealed that fish in the expanded group had shorter and smaller mucous folds. These results indicate that pellet expansion had no beneficial effect in terms of growth performance, feed utilization and fish health. In the second experiment, weight gain and feed efficiency were significantly increased as feeding rate increased from 0 to 2.5% body weight per day (BW/d), but there were no significant differences in weight gain or feeding efficiency in fish fed the expanded pellet at ratios of 2.5% BW/d and satiation for three weeks. Plasma aspartate aminotransferase activity of fish fed the expanded pellet at a ratio of 2.5% was significantly lower than that of starved fish. Histological analysis of the anterior intestine revealed that fish in the 0% group had shorter mucous folds. Broken-line regression analysis suggested that the optimum juvenile olive flounder feeding rate was 3.5% BW/d during the low temperature season ($16-17^{\circ}C$).

This study attempted to investigate the physiological activities of Passiflora caerulea extract and provide basic data needed to verify its availability as an inner beauty material. To examine its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effects, the followings were measured: total polyphenol contents, total flavonoid contents, DPPH radical scavenging activity, cytotoxicity and NO inhibition effects in RAW 264.7 macrophage cells and HDF cells and MMP-1 inhibitory effects in HDF cells. The results found the followings: First, polyphenol and flavonoid contents were great with 157 mg/g and 173.5 mg/g respectively at 10mg/mL, and DPPH radical scavenging activity was confirmed. In RAW 264.7 macrophage cells and HDF cells, no cytotoxicity was observed for Passiflora caerulea extract. In addition, 69.3% anti-inflammatory effects were found at 100 ㎍/mL through NO inhibition in RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. In addition, a significant inhibition of MMP-1 expression in HDF cell was confirmed. The above results confirmed the anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of Passiflora caerulea extract, low toxicity on skin cells and its anti-aging effects by inhibiting MMP-1 expression. Therefore, it appears that Passiflora caerulea extract would be available as diverse inner beauty materials.

To produce functional food ingredient from the soybean curd residue (SCR), alkaline fermentation was performed with SCR from cold processed (D-SCR) or hot processed (P-SCR) tofu. The solid- state fermentation was performed by Bacillus firmus NA-1 at $42^{\circ}C$. The fermentation of heat-treated D- SCR resulted in higher production of peptides and fibrinolytic enzyme compared with D-SCR without heating. The P-SCR showed higher production of peptides, fibrinolytic enzyme, indicating alkaline pH after fermentation for 18 hr. When the moisture content of P-SCR was reduced to $60\%$, the production of peptides and fibrinolytic enzyme were enhanced. The P-SCR fortified with $10\%$ MFS (micronized full-fat soy flour) showed higher fibrinolytic enzyme activity and consistency index by fermentation of Bacillus firmus NA-1 Furthermore, the P- SCR fortified with $20\%$ MFS indicated relatively higher peptide content, fibrinolytic enzyme activity and enhanced flavor. By increasing the addition of MFS, the peptide content of fermented P-SCR was increased significantly, but fibrinolytic enzyme was slightly decreased.
