하이브리드법에 의한 HMM-Net 분류기의 학습 (On Learning of HMM-Net Classifiers Using Hybrid Methods)

  • The HMM-Net is an architecture for a neural network that implements a hidden Markov model (HMM). The architecture is developed for the purpose of combining the discriminant power of neural networks with the time-domain modeling capability of HMMs. Criteria used for learning HMM-Net classifiers are maximum likelihood (ML), maximum mutual information (MMI), and minimization of mean squared error(MMSE). In this paper we propose an efficient learning method of HMM-Net classifiers using hybrid criteria, ML/MMSE and MMI/MMSE, and report the results of an experimental study comparing the performance of HMM-Net classifiers trained by the gradient descent algorithm with the above criteria. Experimental results for the isolated numeric digits from /0/ to /9/ show that the performance of the proposed method is better than the others in the respects of learning and recognition rates.

  • This study analyzed the type of the teaming space of 84 elementary schools which were prized as excellent schools on architectural planning and design in Japan from 1985 to 2005. As a result of the study, more types of learning space appeared at different elementary schools, and there was a tendency to plan as one unit space which include class room, multipurpose space, and others, on the planning of learning space. They intended to be uses for the teaming and living activity as a group of a school year.

Learning from Benchmarking: A Comparison of Iranian and Korean Foresight Exercises

  • What are some of the explanations for cross-national diversity of foresight performance among technological followers? Why are some countries more successful than others in learning how to develop national innovation system foresight? This paper argues that the answers are linked to organizational capacities at three different levels: governmental, policy network and social learning. To corroborate this argument, the paper chose Iran and Korea as benchmarking partners, and attempts to find out what makes Iran a slow learner in building innovation system foresight. The conceptual model is an improved model of Saritas's, by integrating Borras' and Andersen's conceptions and classifications. The data are collected from comprehensive interviews in both countries and second-hand data of international indexes. The paper, finally, concludes that it is the weakness of analytical-systemic capacity that impedes and delays the emergence of systemic foresight in Iran, and that this weakness stems from the adverse impacts of the dominant institutions, surrounding the innovation system. The final point is that it is not sufficient for Iran to learn the methods and techniques of foresight from Korea. It should learn how to open its macro-policy towards the global market and design appropriate industrial strategy in a coherent policy-strategy portfolio.

  • 성공적으로 IT 프로젝트를 수행하기 위해서, IT 컨설턴트의 역량은 매우 중요하다. 특히, 학습 프로세스는 IT 프로젝트를 수행하는 동안 발생할 수 있는 다양한 핵심 이슈들을 해결하기 위해 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 바로 이러한 학습 프로세스를 측정할 수 있는 측정도구를 개발하는 것이다. 학습 프로세스의 측정도구를 수립하기에 앞서, 3회에 걸쳐 20년 이상 IT 프로젝트 수행경험이 있는 IT 컨설턴트와 인터뷰를 수행하였다. IT 프로젝트 전문가와의 인터뷰를 통해, 본 연구는 설문 항목을 개발하고 측정도구를 검정하였다.

  • 추천 시스템은 고객의 데이터를 이용하여 개인 맞춤화된 상품을 추천한다. 추천 시스템은 협업 필터링, 콘텐츠 기반 필터링 그리고 이 두 가지를 합친 하이브리드 방법의 세 가지로 크게 나누어진다. 이 연구에서는 딥러닝 방법론에 기초한 오토인코더를 이용한 추천 시스템에 대한 소개와 그 모형들의 비교 연구를 진행한다. 오토인코더는 데이터 행렬에 0이 많은 경우의 문제를 효과적으로 다룰 수 있는 딥러닝 기반의 비지도학습 모형이다. 이 연구에서는 세 개의 실제 데이터를 이용하여 다섯 가지 종류의 오토인코더 기반 모형들을 비교한다. 처음의 세 개 모형은 협업 필터링에 속한 모형이고 나머지 두 개의 모형은 하이브리드 모형이다. 실제 데이터는 고객의 평점 데이터이고, 대부분의 평점이 없어서 희박성 비율이 높다는 특징이 있다.

유대인 학습문화 '하브루타'에 함축된 평생학습의 의미 탐구 (Exploration on the Meaning of Lifelong Learning in Jewish Learning Culture 'Habruta')

  • 본 연구는 학습방법으로서의 하부루타가 아닌 하브루타의 배경적 의미와 학습문화 속에 함축된 평생 학습의 본질적 의미를 탐색하고자 하였다. 하브루타와 관련된 선행연구는 주로 학습자들의 학습 흥미도를 높이고 창의성 및 이해도, 문제해결능력을 위한 교수방법으로 연구되는 경향이 있다. 그러나 하브루타는 비단 하나의 학습방법이 아닌 유대인의 지속성장에 동력이 되는 학습문화라 할 수 있다. 가정의 요람에서부터 시작된 문화 속에서 평생의 삶을 위해 학습하는 방법과 사고의 과정을 체화함으로 언제 어디서 누구나 학습할 수 있는 그들만의 학습문화를 이루었다. 이에 본 연구는 국내외 관련 자료와 선행 연구를 통해 함축된 의미를 탐색하고, 평생학습의 의미와 실천 원리를 구체적으로 제시하고 있는 유네스코의 보고서를 중심으로 평생학습의 의미를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 하브루타는 유대인의 역사적 배경 속에 구축된 학습문화로, 평생학습에 있어 학문적 의미가 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 탈무드를 가지고 타자와 함께 해석하고, 분석하고, 논리를 세우고, 질문하고, 토론하고, 논쟁하며 평생의 삶에 기초역량이 되는 학습하는 방법과 사고의 과정을 체화하고, 타인과의 관계 속에서 통합적 인격을 형성하며, 부단히 자신의 본질을 만들어가는 전 생애 평생학습과정이다. 더 나아가 이러한 유대인의 학습문화는 교육의 목적 실현을 위한 평생학습의 네 가지 원리가 문화 속에서 유기적으로 작용하여 자기창조의 동력이 되는 평생학습문화로 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 평생학습이 각기 분절되어 진행되는 현재의 방향성에서 학습의 원리가 유기적으로 작용할 수 있는 평생학습문화로 구축해 나가야 함을 제언하고자 한다.

사립대학병원의 균형, 조정, 학습 전략이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Balancing, Coordinating and Learning Strategy on Performance in Private University Hospitals)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of balancing, coordinating and learning strategy on performance of private university hospitals. We think that the study will contribute to establish effective management strategy of private university hospitals. Data were collected from 69 private university hospitals. We measured balancing, coordinating and learning strategy, and perceived performance of the hospital by using 5-point Likert scale. Upper-grade general hospitals were significantly higher rate of growth and profitability than others. However, general hospitals were higher level in perceived performance than upper-grade general hospitals. Hospitals located in Seoul were significantly higher growth rate than those in other regions. Large-scale hospitals were significantly higher rate of growth and profitability than small hospitals. Qualitative performance did not different in any hospital characteristics. Growth of hospitals were significantly influenced from business strategies: selective strategy, formal coordinating strategy, and external learning strategy. Profitability of hospitals were also significantly influenced from business strategies: selective strategy, adaptive strategy, and external learning strategy. Subjective performance of hospitals were significantly influenced from external learning strategy. There were no factors that are significantly influencing on qualitative performance of hospital. To have successful performance in the competitive environment, it is recommended that private university hospitals should have to establish management strategy such as balancing, coordinating, and learning strategy.

GBS(Goal-Based Scenario)에 의한 수업 개발 및 적용 방안 연구: 고등학교 '생태와 환경' 수업 사례 중심으로 (A Study on How to Apply GBS (Goal-Based Scenario) to 'Ecology & Environment' Education in High School)

  • Recently environmental problem becomes such a big issue all over the world that the necessity and importance of the environmental education in school has been simultaneously emphasized. While diverse methods for the environmental education have been researched, this paper, especially focused on a teaching-learning model called GBS (Goal-based scenario), aims to provide a new learner-centered approach for the environmental education. For this purpose, this paper first briefly presents two theoretical backgrounds of GBS (i.e., constructivism and Schank's dynamic memory theory), which is followed by specific and concrete strategies and methods of how to apply GBS in class for the teacher. GBS(Goal-Based Scenario) is a learner-centered model in which learners are presented with a reality-based scenario (or task or problem) and go through several stages of 'missions' to get to a final solution of the given scenario. GBS, while completely resonant with other constructivist learning models in terms of learner-centered approaches, is distinctive from others, when it supplies more specific, structured guides of learning, called 'missions', to the students throughout the whole learning process. In a words, GBS ought to be recognized as an unique learner-centered model compromising the contradictory concepts of 'learner control' and 'structure and specifics' in learning environments still without any damage of constructivist learning principles.

Effects of Presentation Classes in English Language Curriculum: Focusing on Phonetics/Phonology and Syntax

  • The qualitative effect of class is influenced by the instructor's class design and operation method, but it comes from motivating students to actively participate in class and utilizing potential qualities that lead to student-centered learning. Students' activities and the quality development of class participation can be utilized in presentation-based classes. This could be confirmed through the presentation classes in English language curriculum applied to English major students in Korea. In other words, with presentations conducted in language-theoretic classes such as phonetics/phonology, and syntax, it turned out that immersion in learning, concentration on class, and motivation for learning can be improved, developing systematic self-directed learning ability and cooperative mutual communication ability. Instructors need to lead the direction and design of the classes, but the actual educational effect depends on how students accept the academic tasks, how well they understand the learning contents, and how well they can systematically transmit them to others. In this respect, this study aims to investigate that learner-centered presentation classes contribute to making learners develop their competencies in class design, data utilization, imparting knowledge, and communication, which would bring about the improvement of learning quality and educational effects.
