The importance of the concept of safety culture has increased in the security of high-risk facility after Chernobyl accident in 1986. This paper elaborated the concept of safety culture and its main factors by Causal Loop Diagram. Due to the decline of safety culture, the occurrence of incidents and accidents require more and more corrective actions to the members of high-risk facilities and thereby increasing their workloads. Employees who must complete the task within the given time have to have time pressures and don't comply with the rules and procedures. Also, a schedule pressure is a big stress for employees, causing mistakes in precision work. In order to improve these problems, CLD of the safety culture in this paper suggests hiring more workers, re-allocation of given workloads and strengthen the learning, communication capabilities and safety leadership. In addition, the two real accident cases were analyzed to test the feasibility of the System Dynamic simulation model through the process of structuring the fault trees on the stationary black out accident in Kori unit 1 in South Korea and Kleen Energy power station explosion in US. The simulation results show that the various safety factors cause the serious accident combined with mechanical failure and safety culture will reduce the possibility of the accidents in these high-risk organizations. This simulation model can contribute to analyzing the impact of the organizational and human factors of safety culture and can provide the alternatives in high-risk facilities.

The purpose of this study is to delve into how elementary mathematics textbooks deal with the areas of triangles and quadrilaterals from a viewpoint of the Didactic Transposition Theory. The following conclusion was derived about the teaching of the area concept: The area concept started to be taught perfectly in the 7th curricular textbook, and the focus of area teaching was placed on the area concept, since learners were gradually given opportunities to compare and measure areas. As to the area formulae of triangles and quadrilaterals, the following conclusions were made: First, the 1st curricular, the 2nd curricular and the 3rd curricular textbooks placed emphasis on transposition by textbooks, and the 4th curricular, the 5th curricular and the 6th curricular textbooks accentuated transposition by teachers. The 7th curricular textbooks put stress on knowledge construction by learners; Second, the focus of teaching shifted from a measurement of area to inducing learners to make area formula. Namely, the utilization of area formula itself was accentuated, while algorithm was emphasized in the past; Third, the way to encourage learners to produce area formula changed according to the curricula and in light of learners' level, but a wide range of teaching devices related to the area formulae were removed, which resulted in offering less learning chances to students; Fourth, what to teach about the areas of triangles and quadrilaterals was gradually polished up, and the 7th curricular textbooks removed one of the overlapped area formula of triangle.
This study compared actual weight with perceived weight, described the prevalence of unhealthy weight control behavior, determined the differences in psychological and personal variables between participants that reported unhealthy weight control behavior and those who did not, and examined the relationship of eating habits to unhealthy weight control behavior for Korean adolescents. The study population consisted of a nationally representative sample of middle and high school students who completed the Fifth Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey (KYRBWS): Fifth in 2009. Among the 75,066 participants of KYRBWS, 35,473 (n = 18,851 girls and 16,622 boys) were eligible for a research focused on unhealthy weight control behavior. The results of this research were as follows: First, there were considerable discrepancies (45.1% of girls and 32.8% of boys) between the perceived weight and the actual weight. Second, overall, unhealthy weight control behavior was more prevalent in girls and fasting was the most commonly reported behavior. Third, participants that reported unhealthy weight control behavior scored significantly lower on scaled measures of happiness, health, academic achievement, and economic status; in addition, they scored higher on stress measures. Fourth, girls and boys shared common protective factors of having breakfast and vegetables more often, perceiving their weight as underweight rather than overweight, and having a correct weight conception. Protective factors unique to girls were having lunch and dinner more often. Girls and boys shared common risk factors of the consumption of soda, fast food, instant noodles, and snacks more often, while consumption of fruit more often was a risk factor only for girls. The improvement of protective factors and minimization of risk factors through Home Economics classes (and other classes relevant to health) may mitigate unhealthy weight control behavior of adolescents.
This study aims at identifying the physical, emotional effect on dance education by using "Dance Central" among Xbox-360 Games. In order to achieve the target, this study adopts case study methodology through Dance Central program among qualitative methods. The participants of this study were 8 adults who do not have experienced dance games from a homogeneous group composed of persons into who are called the Net Generation. The period of this study was from July 18, 2011 to August 14, 2011, during which the observation was conducted for 5 weeks. In total, 15 times of participant observation were made. Dance game experience Through data collection and analysis Participatory Video, self-reports, un-Structured interview, Observations. As a result of the study, the educational effect of aspects physical, emotional and the of dance game was analyzed into dance educational aspect. Educational effect on physical aspect was divided into subjects of 'preceded rhythm and familiarity of dance moves', 'changes by type of moves' and 'dance game requiring active physical activities'. Emotional learning effect was divided into subjects including, 'alleviation of stress'. 'changes of fun by stage and concentration' and 'dance game which has no risk of addiction'.
This paper is intended to investigate the awareness of the elementary school students about the natural environment preservation. For this purpose, 21 elementary school students from the 5th grade of elementary school located in Gwangju city were selected. Especially, we focused on the students' conceptions related to 1) the environments, 2) the safe national land development activity to face several natural disasters and 3) the environmental preservation with the national land development. To evaluate the change of students' conceptions for the national land development, the students were also participated in establishing the plan of the national land development using the model of the natural environment after learning in detail about the natural environments. The results of this study showed that most of the students recognized the concept of the environments as a simple knowledge itself and pollution rather than the protection of environment. In the course of the safe national land development activity to face several natural disasters, the students expressed standardized answer indicating the knowledge based thinking of the environments. According to the results of the environmental preservation with the national land development and the hypothetical project of the national land development, the students did not have enough knowledge for the natural environment preservation although they had understanding of natural disasters and environmental preservation. Therefore, it is necessary to stress affirmative concept for the environment related to the preservation of natural environment. Also we need to develop the syllabus, which is related to the environmental studies, in the elementary educational program leading students to participate in the environmental preservation with the national land development reasonably and practically.
Students must be familiar with clinical skills before starting clinical practice to ensure patients' safety and enable efficient learning. However, performance is mainly tested in the third or fourth years of medical school, and studies using the validity framework have not been reported in Korea. We analyzed the validity of a performance test conducted among second-year students classified into content, response process, internal structure, relationships with other variables, and consequences according to Messick's framework. As results of the analysis, content validity was secured by developing cases according to a pre-determined blueprint. The quality of the response process was controlled by training and calibrating raters. The internal structure showed that (1) reliability by generalizability theory was acceptable (coefficients of 0.724 and 0.786, respectively, for day 1 and day 2), and (2) the relevant domains had proper correlations, while the clinical performance examination (CPX) and objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) showed weaker relationships. OSCE/CPX scores were correlated with other variables, especially grade point average and oral structured exam scores. The consequences of this assessment were (1) making students learn clinical skills and study themselves, while causing too much stress for students due to lack of motivation; (2) reminding educators of the need to apply practical teaching methods and to give feedback on the test results; and (3) providing an opportunity for faculty to consider developing support programs. It is necessary to develop the blueprint more precisely according to students' level and to verify the validity of the response process with statistical methods.
The purpose of this study was to understand deeply the current circumstances of parents who took part in child-English Education through semantic analysis about 11 mothers' and their children's experiences in the individual depth interviews and group interviews. The obtained results of this study were as follows: First, mothers started their children's English education on the basis of the belief that English ability is an essential asset in the era of globalization, their experiences and the scheduled situation. Also they positively recognized the effect of English education when they could feel their children's learning improvements. Second, participants had experienced their children's education stress and economic burden. Third, participants had personal, social level desires for their children's proper English education. Through this study, it revealed the critical introspection about mothers' experiences and desires in child-English Education. And it alluded to necessity about continuous attention and debate in child-English Education.

BACKGROUD/OBJECTIVES: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia in the elderly. Due to the increased incidence of dementia, there is a corresponding increase concerning the importance of AD. In this study, we investigated the protective effects conferred by Zizyphus jujuba (Zj) and Zizyphus jujuba fermented by yeast (Zj-Y), on cognitive impairment in an AD mouse model. MATERIALS/METHODS: AD was induced by injecting amyloid beta25-35 (Aβ25-35) in ICR mice, and subsequently 200 mg/kg Zj or Zj-Y was administered daily for 14 days. The cognitive ability of AD mice was observed through behavioral experiments in T-maze, novel object recognition, and Morris water maze tests. We subsequently measured the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), nitric oxide (NO), aspartate aminotransferase, and alanine aminotransferase in either tissues or serum. RESULTS: In behavioral tests, deterioration was revealed in the short- and long-term learning and memory functions in the Aβ25-35-injected control group compared to the normal group, indicating that Aβ25-35 injection impairs cognitive functions. However, administration of Zj and Zj-Y improved cognitive function in mice, as compared to the Aβ25-35-injected control mice. In addition, the Aβ25-35 induced elevations of MDA and NO in the brain, kidney, and liver were suppressed after exposure to Zj and Zj-Y. Especially, Zj-Y showed stronger scavenging effect against MDA and NO, as compared to Zj. CONCLUSIONS: Results of the present study indicate that Zj-Y exerts a protective effect on cognitive impairment and memory dysfunction, which is exerted by attenuating the oxidative stress induced by Aβ25-35.

Graduate well-being is foundational to academic success, and they are becoming more and more vulnerable. This is as they suffer from mental health challenges like anxiety and depression at rates six times higher than the general population. When the nature of their educational experience changes, such as when they had to stay in their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, the stress on their mental health increases. The number of cases of emotional wellness among university students is considered a public health problem, but these young people often do not seek appropriate treatment. This study, therefore, aims to identify the influence of health behavior factors on graduate emotional wellness. This study used a questionnaire with a cross-sectional survey design. Questionnaires were distributed online to graduates from selected Private and Public Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia. The Partial Least Square Equation Model (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the results of the study. Overall findings indicate that the health behavior factors have a significant influence on graduate emotional wellness. The findings from this study will benefit the management, academics, counselors, and other entities, including the Students' Representative Council, in identifying ways to improve services and upgrade the necessary facilities to enhance the graduate's emotional wellness.
The prediction of structural mechanical behaviors is vital important to early perceive the abnormal conditions and avoid the occurrence of disasters. Especially for underground engineering, complex geological conditions make the structure more prone to disasters. Aiming at solving the problems existing in previous studies, such as incomplete consideration factors and can only predict the continuous performance, the deep attention fused temporal convolution network (DATCN) is proposed in this paper to predict the spatial mechanical behaviors of structure, which integrates both the temporal effect and spatial effect and realize the cross-time prediction. The temporal convolution network (TCN) and self-attention mechanism are employed to learn the temporal correlation of each monitoring point and the spatial correlation among different points, respectively. Then, the predicted result obtained from DATCN is compared with that obtained from some classical baselines, including SVR, LR, MLP, and RNNs. Also, the parameters involved in DATCN are discussed to optimize the prediction ability. The prediction result demonstrates that the proposed DATCN model outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines. The prediction accuracy of DATCN model after 24 hours reaches 90 percent. Also, the performance in last 14 hours plays a domain role to predict the short-term behaviors of the structure. As a study case, the proposed model is applied in an underwater shield tunnel to predict the stress variation of concrete segments in space.
