Generally, welding gap is a serious factor of a falling-off in weld quality among various kind of weld defect. Welding gap is created between two work piece in GMAW(Gas Metal Arc Welding) of horizontal fillet weld because surface of workpiece is not flat by cutting process. In these days, there were many attempts to detect welding gap. though we prevalently use the vision sensor or arc sensor in welding process, it is difficult to detect welding gap for improvement of welding quality. But we have a trouble to find relationship between welding gap and many welding parameters due to non-linearity of welding process. As mentioned about the various difficult problem, we can detect welding gap precisely using neural networks which are able to model non-linear function. Also, this paper was proposed real-time monitoring of weld bead shape to find effect of welding gap and to estimate weld quality. Monitoring of weld bead shape examined the correlation of welding parameters with bead eometry using learning ability of neural networks. Finally, the developed system, welding gap detecting system and bead shape monitoring system, is expected to the successful capability of automation of welding process by result of simulation.
Nowaday our school education have been undergone decisive influences by the entrance and examination-oriented education system. To enter universities which belong to top classes in Korean society could be look upon the important success of school education, and it could be equaled to the quality of competent teacher(teacher's professionalism). However, the creativity and knowledge composition ability in the school education will be considered seriously in the coming of 21st century knowledge, information-oriented and globalization society. In this situation, we try to trace about the system and style of foreign school education which is unfamiliar to us, spontaneously we should explore the educational implication which affects to our school education. In this paper, we have reviewed about the present condition and the current situation of Philippines school education(San Beda College Alabang and Rizal Campus). Of course, we tried to observe the practical education activities including a curriculum, teacher, teaching and studying method and student activity. Through this trial, we tried to suggest the effective environment and methodology for the improvement in quality of our school education. Philippines school education 1) could be achieved educational ideas and goals based on the spirit of school establishment, 2) could be gained teacher's professionalism through the system of Coordinator and Prefect, 3) could be conducted learner-centered lessons by the learning method of exploration, discussion, task-resolving, 4) was able to created a pleasant school education through the development and application of a variety of educational programs.
Multicultural education is not about learning about a specific ethnic group, but rather developing the ability to cross the border of one's own culture and have conversations with people of other cultures. I think the purpose is to promote empathy and consideration. This study emphasizes the importance of developing multi-dimensional educational programs for all members of society for multicultural social integration, and it is necessary to lead personal, social and civic action movements to create a fair society through media-based multicultural literacy education. said that In order to achieve harmony and integration in a multicultural society, it is the most important to acknowledge cultural diversity and to discard cultural prejudices and inequalities for symbiosis between the mainstream culture and the minority culture. In particular, the United States and Germany, which have successfully led multicultural social integration, are comprehensive in all areas, including interculturalism based on peaceful coexistence and respect, labor market issues, vocational education issues, housing and health issues, and communication issues through media literacy. He led a multicultural national integration system with approaches and methods. Therefore, our multicultural education policy should also pursue a new paradigm that presupposes a change in the public's awareness of a multicultural society.
Purpose: The role of medical staff gained immense significance in the context of the prolonged coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. However, few studies had explored the impact of simulation-based education on the ability of nursing students to care for the patients of COVID-19. This study provided nursing students with simulation-based education in caring for the patients of COVID-19 and confirmed its effectiveness. Methods: This study used a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were recruited from the nursing departments of two universities in Korea through convenience sampling. A total of 79 participants were included: 37 in the intervention group and 42 in the control group. The intervention group received four sessions of simulation training based on the National League for Nursing Jeffries simulation theory. Results: The intervention group showed an improvement compared to the control group in terms of knowledge related to coronavirus, confidence in performing infection control skills, and perception of preparedness for caring for the patients of COVID-19, with a high-level of satisfaction and self-confidence in learning. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of anxiety. Conclusion: This simulation is expected to be a significant strategy for alleviating the global burden in terms of staff safety and patient outcomes by improving the competencies of prospective medical staff in responding to pandemics.
The purpose of this study is to propose a fashion design creativity convergence education program based on creative thinking that can be effectively used to create a creative fashion design in the fashion education field, and to verify the suitability of this program and its effectiveness in improving creativity. To this end, a fashion design creative convergence program combining divergent thinking and convergence thinking was designed, and an experimental study was conducted among college students in the fashion design department. Creativity evaluation was conducted by evaluating students' creative ability and creativity of fashion design results. In addition, an open survey was conducted to collect learners' opinions on the suitability of the program and the convergence process of divergent and convergent thinking. As a result of this study, it was found that the fashion design creative convergence education program based on creative thinking improves the creative competency of major learners of fashion design and is the learning performance competency in the process of producing creative results. This study is meaningful as it is a basic study that proposes a fashion design education program to foster the creative competency of fashion design majors, and is expected to be used in various ways in the educational field.

In autonomous navigation systems, the need for fast and accurate image processing using deep learning and advanced sensor technologies is paramount. These systems rely heavily on the ability to process and interpret visual data swiftly and precisely to ensure safe and efficient navigation. Despite the critical importance of such capabilities, there has been a noticeable lack of research specifically focused on ship image classification for maritime applications. This gap highlights the necessity for more in-depth studies in this domain. In this paper, we aim to address this gap by presenting a comprehensive comparative study of ship image classification using two distinct neural network models: the Feedforward Neural Network (FNN) and the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Our study involves the application of both models to the task of classifying ship images, utilizing a dataset specifically prepared for this purpose. Through our analysis, we found that the Convolutional Neural Network demonstrates significantly more effective performance in accurately classifying ship images compared to the Feedforward Neural Network. The findings from this research are significant as they can contribute to the advancement of core source technologies for maritime autonomous navigation systems. By leveraging the superior image classification capabilities of convolutional neural networks, we can enhance the accuracy and reliability of these systems. This improvement is crucial for the development of more efficient and safer autonomous maritime operations, ultimately contributing to the broader field of autonomous transportation technology.

Computer Science Education has to be dynamically changed due to a change of information technology. This study aims to present the direction of development for computer science education according to compare a report of KEDI; Korean Educational Development Institute, twenty years ago with our latest investigation. In this research, nowadays the personal computer diffused at most home. Home is the main environment for students to use computer. Students demand new computing curricula and teaching method. The global tendency of computer science education focuses on the improvement of problem solving ability. According to our investigation, most students hope to learn the new computing skills through game-based learning. We present the unplugged teaching methods and simulation-based learning using EPL(Educational Program Langage). Of course it's important to be applied to school now. And it can be achieved just by national efforts alone.

This research is to provide practical help in learning hair and makeup illustration skills by presenting techniques for hair and makeup drawing; to serve efficient illustration education; and to enhance the status of beauty and contribute to artistic development. Hair style and makeup techniques include graphical one, pattern-centered one, one using pattern paper, simplifying one and mood one expressing image. Of them, this research made the illustrations to use cosmetics, color pencils and pastel based on the graphical technique. for each design of the illustrations, ethnic, sexy, natural, romantic and gorgeous images, which were considered to be appropriate to the graphical technique, were chosen by the researcher out of hair and makeup styles that appeared in the fashion magazines including Vogue, Gap, Mode et Mode from 2000 through 2001. In particular, they were chosen with focusing on basic styles. The summaries below were found with the experience of making illustrations. Various techniques and skills are required to express the ideas of hair and makeup styles. Of them, the graphical technique is very useful as the primary step to learn various techniques and improve drawing skills. First, the graphical technique may enable not only expressing what is desired to draw as is, but also accurately representing hair and makeup designs so as to convey objective expression. In this regard, it is a proper way to achieve its inherent purpose as conveyance of messages. Second, more accurate styling of hair and makeup is available through graphical expression, which helps understand related practical techniques. In addition, makeup illustration, which is expressed through direct makeup products and instruments, may serve skill improvement since such direct use provides the feeling of real makeup. Third, the graphical technique as a basic drawing skill may unrestrictedly show the artist's expression ability. Fourth, although artistic merits implying individuality and creativity should be shared through illustrations that express the artist's ideas or emotions, the graphical technique is the easiest method to beginners who just started learning of illustration, in that it enables expression without highly advanced skills.

School safety in Japan in the 21st century has been directly influenced by changes in school education policy. The purpose of Japanese school education is to nurture self-reliance, cooperation, and creative humanity by promoting 'zest for life'. Reflecting this, the purpose of school safety is to strengthen survival capabilities that students can overcome in any disaster situation. The main features of Japanese school safety are as follows: 1) to emphasize ability to survive; 2) to focus on school safety role in home and community; 3) to balance between school safety and school education; 4) to emphasize school safety education through experiential and active learning; 5) to pursue safer school facilities; 6) to focus on continuous improvement through PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Act); 7) to spread the UN safe school model. This analysis and discussion on Japanese school safety will give meaningful implications to Korea's school safety which has recently undergone dramatic changes.
How to enhance the ability of underachieve students are unsolved problems for mathematics teachers despite of their best efforts to teach them. The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of mathematical journal writing as a method of improving the mathematical attitudes and achievements for underachieve students. Seven students whose performances were below 40% on the final exam in the 1st semester were recruited in order to gather empirical data. Before journal writing procedures, the subjects' characteristics, learning styles and mathematical attitudes were investigated through personal interview and mathematical attitude test. After six-week journal writing, follow-up survey and mathematical attitude test were conducted. The results of this research are as follows: Mathematical journal writing had a positive effect to underachieve students on improving confidence in mathematics and a positive influence on active and effective learning attitude. And mathematical journal writing had an effect on improvement in their mathematics achievement comparing first semester's final exam with second semester's mid-term exam. Finally mathematical journal writing contributes positively to the relationship between students and their teacher.
