  • Multi-floor navigation of a mobile robot requires a technology that allows the robot to safely get on and off the elevator. Therefore, in this study, we propose a method of recognizing the elevator from the current position of the robot and estimating the location of the elevator locally so that the robot can safely get on the elevator regardless of the accumulated position error during autonomous navigation. The proposed method uses a deep learning-based image classifier to identify the elevator from the image information obtained from the RGB-D sensor and extract the boundary points between the elevator and the surrounding wall from the point cloud. This enables the robot to estimate the reliable position in real time and boarding direction for general elevators. Various experiments exhibit the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method.

  • In Part I(theoretical study) of the paper, a new adaptive autopilot for ships based on Adaptive Neural Networks was proposed. The ANNAI autopilot was designed for course-keeping, turning and track-keeping control for ships. In this part of the paper, to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the ANNAI autopilot and automatic selection algorithm for learning rate and number of iterations, computer simulations of course-keeping and track-keeping tasks with and without the effects of measurement noise and external disturbances are presented. Additionally, the results of the previous studies using Adaptive Neural Network by backpropagation algorithm are also showed for comparison.

  • The important field of research on ship operation is related to the high efficiency of transportation, the convenience of maneuvering ships and the safety of navigation. As a way of practical application for a smart ship based on network system, this paper proposes the intelligent support system for ship steering control system based on TCP/IP and desires to testify the validity of the proposal by applying the fuzzy control model to the steering control system. As the specific study methods, the fuzzy inference was adopted to build the maneuvering models of steersman, and then the network system was implemented using the TCP/IP socket-based programming. Lastly, the miniature model steering control system combined with LIBL (Linguistic Instruction-based Learning) was designed to testify for its effectiveness.

  • This paper presents evolvable neural networks based on a developmental model for navigation control of autonomous mobile robots in dynamic operating environments. Bio-inspired mechanisms have been applied to autonomous design of artificial neural networks for solving practical problems. The proposed neural network architecture is grown from an initial developmental model by a set of production rules of the L-system that are represented by the DNA coding. The L-system is based on parallel rewriting mechanism motivated by the growth models of plants. DNA coding gives an effective method of expressing general production rules. Experiments show that the evolvable neural network designed by the production rules of the L-system develops into a controller for mobile robot navigation to avoid collisions with the obstacles.

  • Voice pattern recognition technology to solve the problems of the existing problems and common issues that you may have in language learning content analysis. This is the first problem of language-learning content, online learning posture. Game open another web page through the lesson, but the concentration of the students fell. Have not been able to determine the second issue according Speaking has made the learning process actually reads. Third got a problem with the mechanical process by a learning management system, as well by the teacher in the evaluation of students and students who are learning progress between the difference in the two. Finally, the biggest problem, while maintaining their existing content made to be able to solve the above problem. Speaking learning dedicated learning programs under this background, voice pattern recognition technology learning process for speech recognition and voice recognition capabilities for learning itself has been used in the recognition process the data of the learner's utterance as an audio file of the desired change to a transfer to a specific location of the server or SQL server may be easily inserted into any system or program, any and all applicable content that has already been created without damaging the entire component because the new features were available. Contributed to this paper, active participation in class more interactive teaching methods to change.

  • Since the global positioning system (GPS) has been included in mobile devices (e.g., for car navigation, in smartphones, and in smart watches), the impact of personal GPS log data on daily life has been unprecedented. For example, such log data have been used to solve public problems, such as mass transit traffic patterns, finding optimum travelers' routes, and determining prospective business zones. However, a real-time analysis technique for GPS log data has been unattainable due to theoretical limitations. We introduced a machine learning model in order to resolve the limitation. In this paper presents a new, three-stage real-time prediction model for a person's daily route activity. In the first stage, a machine learning-based clustering algorithm is adopted for place detection. The training data set was a personal GPS tracking history. In the second stage, prediction of a new person's transient mode is studied. In the third stage, to represent the person's activity on those daily routes, inference rules are applied.
