다층건물 사용자의 누수확대 방지용 비상배수설비 설치에 대한 의견 연구 (A Study on Multi-story Building Users' Opinions about the Installation of Emergency Plumbing Equipment for Preventing the Spread of Water Leakage)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the necessity of 'emergency plumbing equipment for preventing the spread of water leakage'. It reviews social and economic costs when there is spread of water leakage and finds out that those are enormous. Expansion of water leakage causes conflicts between neighbors, economic loss and inconvenience from damages on facilities like elevator and power failure. Next, it examines the inability of existing plumbing equipment when it comes to spread of water leakage. Newly defined 'Surface Leakage' means rapid leak in the surface, and 'Internal Leakage' means seeping out slowly and gradually buried in the pipeline. It will also be analyzed by separating the concept of a leak in the two concepts of a 'Surface Leakage' and 'Internal Leakage'. It proposes emergency plumbing equipment for preventing the spread of water leakage as a solution for the expansion of water leakage. It explains general concepts of emergency plumbing equipment for preventing the spread of water leakage. It will also examine the effectiveness of the user by performing a survey of 420 multi-level building their opinion on the effects of an emergency plumbing equipments to prevent the spread of water leakage.

태백권 배수관망 개량사업의 비용효과분석 최적화 모델 연구 (A Study on Cost Benefit Analysis Optimization Model for Water Distribution Network Rehabilitation Project of Taebaek Region)

  • This research carried out an analysis on input cost and leakage reduction effect by leakage reduction method, focusing on the project for establishing an optimal water pipe network management system in the Taebaek region, which has been executed annually since 2009. Based on the result, optimal cost-benefit analysis models for water distribution network rehabilitation project were developed using DEA(data envelopment analysis) and multiple regression analysis, which have been widely utilized for efficiency analysis in public and other projects. DEA and multiple regression analysis were carried out by applying 4 analytical methods involving different ratios and costs. The result showed that the models involving the analytical methods 2 and 4 were of low significance (which therefore were excluded), and only the models involving the analytical methods 1 and 3 were suitable. From the result it was judged that the leakage management method to be executed with the highest priority for the improvement of revenue water ratio was installation of pressure reduction valve, followed by replacement of water distribution pipe, replacement of water supply pipe, and then leakage detection and repair; and that the execution of leakage management methods in this order would be most economical. In addition, replacement of water meter was also shown to be necessary in case there were a large number of defective water meters.

Applications of MEMS-MOSFET Hybrid Switches to Power Management Circuits for Energy Harvesting Systems

  • A hybrid switch that uses a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) switch as a gate driver of a MOSFET is applied to an energy harvesting system. The power management circuit adopting the hybrid switch provides ultralow leakage, self-referencing, and high current handling capability. Measurements show that solar energy harvester circuit utilizing the MEMS-MOSFET hybrid switch accumulates energy and charges a battery or drive a resistive load without any constant power supply and reference voltage. The leakage current during energy accumulation is less than 10 pA. The power management circuit adopting the proposed hybrid switch is believed to be an ideal solution to self-powered wireless sensor nodes in smart grid systems.

염산 저장탱크 누출 시 방류벽 조건에 따른 피해영향 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Damages on the Conditions of Dike in the Leakage of Hydrochloric Acid Storage Tank)

  • Hydrochloric acid is a highly corrosive toxic substance and requires proper safety to minimize damage in case of leakage. Among the various risk-reduction facilities, the dike is a typical safety facility installed to protect the surrounding buildings and facilities by preventing the external spread of hazardous materials from the storage tank. In this study, the KORA program was used to assume leakage accident of hydrochloric acid storage tank. At this time, the extent of the damage effects of ERPG-2 were assessed for each of the three separation distance between the storage tank and the dike. The study found that the smaller the separation distance between the dike and the storage tank, the smaller the extent of damage caused by hydrochloric acid leakage, and the greater the impact of indoor conditions under the same conditions. Through this process, we are going to assist in selecting locations and installing facilities for new and existing businesses.

  • 최근 임베디드 시스템이 발전함에 따라서 저 전력에 대한 요구가 중요한 관심사가 되었다. 하지만 전력 관리 코드가 핵심 관심사 코드와 횡단 결합되어 있기 때문에 가독성과 유지보수성을 저하시키는 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 실행시간 동안 발생하는 누설전력을 감소시키기 위한 디바이스 사용에 집중한 전력관리 모델을 제시하고, 이러한 전력관리 모델에 관점지향 프로그래밍을 적용하여 전력관리 코드를 핵심관심사 코드와 분리한다. 마지막으로 제시한 전력관리 모델을 이론적인 방법과 실험적인 방법으로 평가한다.

  • Recently, spread of large amount Smartphones made users to download location-based service applications, which provided by application developers. These location-based service applications are convenient tool for users. Location-based service use technology to find location of user and provide information of user's location. Leakage of information of user's location and expose of privacy life raised new controversy. In this thesis, it will analyze relations of increase of Smartphone market, usage of Location-based service and severity of personal information leakage. Also, it will analyze examples of user's case of damage which caused by leakage personal information and find solutions to reduce damage of personal information leakage. In research, it will find cases of damage that cause by Location-based service. Also it will analyze and research cases of damage and present with graph and chart. In conclusion, to reduce and prevent from damage which caused by leakage personal information, it is important that users and application developers to realize danger of private and personal information leakage. Also, user's personal information must deal with cautiously and application developers have to research and develop the application with powerful security.

Adopting the Banked Register File Scheme for Better Performance and Less Leakage

  • Excessively high temperature deteriorates the reliability and increases the leakage power consumption of microprocessors. The register file, known as one of the hottest functional units in microprocessors, incurs frequent dynamic thermal management operations for thermal control. In this letter, we adopt the banked register file scheme, which was originally proposed to reduce dynamic power consumption. By simply modifying the register file structure, the temperature in the register file was reduced dramatically, resulting in 13.37% performance improvement and 10.49% total processor leakage reduction.

Sequential optimization for pressure management in water distribution networks

  • Most distributed water is not used effectively due to water loss occurring in pipe networks. These water losses are caused by leakage, typically due to high water pressure to ensure adequate water supply. High water pressure can cause the pipe to burst or develop leaks over time, particularly in an aging network. In order to reduce the amount of leakage and ensure proper water distribution, it is important to apply pressure management. Pressure management aims to maintain a steady and uniform pressure level throughout the network, which can be achieved through various operational schemes. The schemes include: (1) installing a variable speed pump (VSP), (2) introducing district metered area (DMA), and (3) operating pressure-reducing valves (PRV). Applying these approaches requires consideration of various hydraulic, economic, and environmental aspects. Due to the different functions of these approaches and related components, an all-together optimization of these schemes is a complicated task. In order to reduce the optimization complexity, this study recommends a sequential optimization method. With three network operation schemes considered (i.e., VSP, DMA, and PRV), the method explores all the possible combinations of pressure management paths. Through sequential optimization, the best pressure management path can be determined using a multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) to weigh in factors of cost savings, investment, pressure uniformity, and CO2 emissions. Additionally, the contribution of each scheme to pressure management was also described in the application results.

FTA기법을 이용한 교육시설 누수 하자 유형 분석 및 주요 원인 관리방안 (Analyzing Leakage Defect Types in Educational Facilities and Deriving Key Management Strategies Using the FTA Method)

  • 최근 건설 산업에서는 스마트 기술을 통해 건축물의 품질 향상과 안전확보에 노력하고 있지만, 여전히 누수 하자는 증가하는 추세이다. 특히 교육 시설에서는 노후화로 인한 하자 발생이 주요 문제로 부각되고 있습니다. 본 연구는 FTA 기법을 사용하여 교육시설 누수 하자 발생의 원인을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 예방 대책을 제시하고자 한다. 국내 문헌 조사를 통해 FTA 기법을 설명하고, 2019~2021년 교육지원청 데이터를 분석하여 주요 하자를 식별합니다. 교육시설 누수 하자의 FT 도를 구성한 결과 12개의 기본 사상이 추출되었습니다.이후, FTA 분석을 통해 누수 원인을 자세히 파악하고 주요 하자 원인을 도출하였다. 그 결과, 교육시설 하자 접수 건 중 누수 하자가 46.8%를 차지하며, 옥상층(천정) 누수가 가장 많았으며, FTA 분석 결과 옥상층(천정) 누수의 주요 원인으로는 바탕면 처리 불량으로 나타나며 이는 방수층 균열, 이음부 균열, 방수층 미시공 등에 기인하는 것을 확인하였습니다. 이 연구의 핵심 성과는 교육시설 누수 하자 예방을 위한 기초적인 자료를 마련하고, FTA 기법을 통해 누수 원인을 분석하여 사전 예방 대책을 도출하는 데 있습니다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 더욱 효과적인 교육시설 관리와 누수 예방에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
