A Study on the Insider Behavior Analysis Using Machine Learning for Detecting Information Leakage (정보 유출 탐지를 위한 머신 러닝 기반 내부자 행위 분석 연구)

  • In this paper, we design and implement PADIL(Prediction And Detection of Information Leakage) system that predicts and detect information leakage behavior of insider by analyzing network traffic and applying a variety of machine learning methods. we defined the five-level information leakage model(Reconnaissance, Scanning, Access and Escalation, Exfiltration, Obfuscation) by referring to the cyber kill-chain model. In order to perform the machine learning for detecting information leakage, PADIL system extracts various features by analyzing the network traffic and extracts the behavioral features by comparing it with the personal profile information and extracts information leakage level features. We tested various machine learning methods and as a result, the DecisionTree algorithm showed excellent performance in information leakage detection and we showed that performance can be further improved by fine feature selection.

  • Interventional device closure has emerged as a less invasive alternative to surgery in the management of paravalvular leakage. However, this procedure involves various problems such as a high probability of residual leakage or hemolysis. Here, we report a case of residual paravalvular leakage despite two attempts at interventional closure in a patient with a history of four previous mitral valve replacements. The fifth operation for the primary repair of paravalvular leakage was performed successfully. Careful evaluation before the procedure and specially designed devices are essential for the interventional treatment of paravalvular leakage. Surgery can be performed adequately in the management of paravalvular leakage even in high-risk patients.

  • The Korea has high population density, so the precipitation per capita is only one tenth to world average. The water resource in Korea is insufficient. But the leakage in the water distribution system is about 25%, and it is lower than other countries where water utilities are managed well. The pipelines' management also is getting worse because the leakage in the pipelines lower the ground density surrounding pipes. So, managing the leakage in the water distribution system is very important in the view of increasing the water resources and doing the efficient management of the pipeline system. Accordingly this study aimed to conduct a cause-analysis with scientific approaches considering key local factor related to water loss of distribution system and derive better performance indicators which are able to evaluate the real state of water loss management reasonably. Also this research aimed to develop a methodology capable of judging condition of infrastructure of water distribution system.

  • Since SMEs have recognized needs for industrial technique leakage prevention, they tend to construct information security system causing huge consumption of budget, yet they cannot organize information security team to operate integrated information security management system with consistency and it is fact that there only occur instant introductions of certain system. In this study, we designed information security management system for SMEs' industrial technique leakage prevention which is differentiated from those of large enterprises based on current status of SMEs' industrial technique leakage. Specifically we analyzed current status and vulnerability of SMEs' industrial technique leakage and we designed industrial technique leakage prevention management system for SMEs. Then we applied Delphi method to validate appropriateness of study result. We strongly believe that SMEs may estimate a appropriate level of investment on information security and develop countermeasures for control by utilizing this study result.

Investigation of the Occurrence of Industrial Accidents and Accidental Deaths by Chemical Leakage and Skin Contact (화학물질의 누출과 피부접촉에 의한 재해자 및 사고사망자 발생현황 조사)

  • Objectives: We investigated the status of accidents and deaths caused by chemical leakage and skin contact in Korea. The purpose of this study was to produce and provide technical reference data for the efficient management of accidents and the rational management of accidental chemicals. Methods: Accidents and deaths caused by chemical leakage and skin contact in industry were investigated. Based on 68 accident reports related to chemical leakage and skin contact, the causes of accidental deaths were analyzed. In addition, we investigated the chemical substances and articles that caused these accidents and deaths. Based on the results of the investigation, the causes of accidents caused by chemical leakage and skin contact were identified and practical management measures for the chemicals were suggested. Results and Conclusions: In 2018, 372 people suffered from chemical leaks and skin contact, up by 123 (about 49.4%) from the previous year. The number of accident deaths was 14, an increase of five (about 55.6%) from the previous year. In the last three years (2016-2018), 91 chemical substances and article groups were involved in accidents caused by chemical leakage and skin contact. There were 16 chemical substance and article groups involved in accidental deaths. There were ten cases of accidents involving two or more casualties due to chemical leakage and skin contact, and 23 deaths occurred. Most of these accidental deaths were caused by subcontractor workers outsourcing risks. Therefore, there is an apparent need to strengthen the responsibility for safety and health among subcontractors.

Leakage Energy Management Techniques via Shared L2 Cache Partitioning (캐시 파티션을 이용한 공유 2차 캐시 누설 에너지 관리 기법)

  • The existing timeout based cache leakage management techniques reduce the leakage energy consumption of the cache significantly by switching off the power supply to the inactive cache line. Since these techniques were mainly proposed for single-processor systems, their efficiency is reduced significantly in multiprocessor systems with a shared L2 cache because of the cache interferences among simultaneously executing tasks. In this paper, we propose a novel cache partition strategy which partitions the shared L2 cache considering the inactive cycles of the cache line. Furthermore, we propose the adaptive task-aware timeout management technique which considers the characteristics of each task and adapts the timeout dynamically. Experimental results from the simulation show that the proposed technique reduces the leakage energy consumption of the shared L2 cache by 73% for the 2-way CMP and 56% for the 4-way CMP on average compared to the existing representative leakage management technique, respectively.

Surgical Management of Aortic Insufficiency in Behcet`s Syndrome - An Experience of 8 Cases - (Behcet 씨 증후군에 의한 대동맥판 폐쇄부전의 수술치험 -3례 보고-)

  • In Behcet syndrome, cardiac involvements are rare and have been reported pericarditis, myocarditis, right heart endocardial fibrosis, right ventricle mural thrombus with pulmonary embolism, active endocarditis, granulomatous endocarditis, conduction disturbance, acute aortic insufficiency, mitral valve prolapse. Our three patients underwent AVR because of aortic insufficiency and ascending aorta enlargement combined with Behcet syndrome. Two patients had mitral regurgitation too. So one underwent MAP and the other underwent MVR concomitantly. One who underwent AVR have been well for 50 months. Another who underwent AVR+MAP and redo AVR due to aortic paravalvular leakage was died of congestive heart failure. The other who underwent AVR+MVR and repeated AVR three times because of aortic paravalvular leakage is in condition of aortic paravalvular leakage. Paravalvular leakage is considered to recur due to progressive dilatation and fragility of aortic root that is the result of pathologic change of Behcet syndrome in it. If Open heart surgery is needed in Behcet`s syndrome during inflammatory reaction is active, postoperative complications such as paravalvular leakage or suture line rupture may be prevented with pre- and postoperative anti-inflammatory management.

Leakage Current Measurement and Management of Arresters Installed in Feeder Lines (급전선로에 설치되어 있는 피뢰기의 누설전류 측정과 관리방안)

  • This paper describes the measurement result of leakage current flowing arresters connected in feeder lines to propose an optimal management method. Twenty seven arresters set in seven areas were analyzed on a regular basis for 4 months. The results showed that the RMS and the peak value of the total leakage currents for soundness arresters were a range of $200uA{\sim}00uA$. respectively. During the period of measurement, the magnitude of the leakage current didn't show conspicious changes and there were impossible places to analyze arrester's status due to including high THD rate in a feeder line, From the study, leakage current measurement has to be performed at a condition without running an electric train in the line, and the allowable RMS value of soundness arrester is bellow 600uA.

  • In order to Investigate water tree degradation behavior on XLPE cable, direct voltage of 200 to 800V has been applied to the material at 5$0^{\circ}C$~10$0^{\circ}C$, and the water tree property has been correlated with voltage and temperature. The leakage current was increase as temperature increased and the Ohm's law was generally satisfied in this experiment though some experimental errors were found. The leakage current was decreased and reached to the stable state with time. It was also shown that the time for the stabilization of leakage current was lessened as voltage increased

  • According to the statistics of the National Industrial Security Center under the National Intelligence Service, 209 national technologies have been leaked abroad in the past 5 years. Small and medium-sized enterprises and leakage by insiders accounted for 73% and 80% of them, respectively. This suggests that all the capabilities for preventing leakage of industrial technology should be focused on small and medium-sized enterprises and leakage by insiders. Related studies have been actively conducted on legal consideration of industrial technology leakage crimes, improvement of industrial security policies, and industrial security measures for preventing leakage of industrial technology, but adequate empirical studies have not been carried out on factors of leakage of industrial technology. In particular, there have been few studies on the effect of the experience of industrial technology leakage and enterprise scale(large enterprise, small and medium-sized enterprise) on achieving results in leakage prevention. Therefore, this study extracted factors affecting performance to prevent industrial technology leakage by analyzing previous related papers and to empirically analyze relationships with performance by applying the TAM model after classifying variables into the TOE framework by characterizing these properties.
