리니어 오실레이팅 전기기기의 비교 연구 (Convergence Comparison of Linear Oscillating Electric Machines)

  • 본 연구는 하이브리드 자동차의 리니어 오실레이팅 전기기기의 비교 연구를 위해 수행하였으며, 다섯 가지(직각좌표형, 영구자석 매입 원통형, 자속역전식, 릴럭턴스 원통형, 횡자속 형태.)의 제안된 형태의 비교를 통해 리니어 오실레이팅 전기기기의 연구결과를 제시하였다. 모든 형태는 초기 모델링으로서 누설을 고려한 등가자기회로법을 통해 수행되었다. 영구자석 형태의 이동자로 구성된 직각좌표형은 구속조건 아래에서 설계변수들의 파라미터 분석을 통한 최적화 과정이 수행되었고, 영구자석 매입 원통형은 이동자에 영구자석과 Back-iron이 결합된 구조를 제시하였다. 자속역전식은 영구자석형 이동자의 매입형태에 따른 분석과 향상된 모델을 제시하며, 릴럭턴스 원통형은 유효 자속의 증가와 리플을 저감하기 위한 이동자 치의 형태를 비교·분석하였다. 횡자속 형태에서는 2차원 분석기법과 3차원 분석을 통한 비교를 수행하였다. 본 연구는 설계 규칙과 리니어 오실레이팅 전기기기의 특성을 제공한다는 측면에서 의미가 있다.

과부하 및 물리적 손상(반단선)에 의한 전선의 열적특성 해석 (Analysis for the Thermal Properties of the Electrical Wire according to Overload and Disconnection)

  • According to the statistical analysis on the electrical fire of 2005 years, most of electrical fire is generated from short circuit(4,985 cases), overcurrent(755 cases) leakage current(391 cases), poor contact(378 cases), disconnection(36 cases) on the electrical wiring device. The researches for the fire hazard about normal electric wiring have already been progressing in the advanced country such as USA and Japan, but Comparative study of the disconnection has not been conducted. Therefore, in this paper, we have simulated the thermal analysis for electrical wire according to deteriorating time in a normal state and disconnection with electrical wire using the electrical-thermal finite element method(Flux 3D). This paper acquire basis data of electricity fire signal by disconnection and wish to help for electrical fire cause diagnosis business.

  • The shorted-turn sensor for generator's field winding has been developed. The sensor, installed in the generator air-gap, senses the slot leakage flux of field winding and produces a voltage waveform proportional to the rate of change of the flux. For identification of reliability for sensor, a shorted-turn test was performed at the Seoinchon & Sininchon combined cycle power plant on gas turbine generator. This sensor will be used as a detecting of shorted-turn for generator's field winding.

자기광학센서를 이용한 강자성체 결함 탐상 (The Detection of Defects in Ferromagnetic Materials Using Magneto-Optical Sensor)

  • A new non-destructive inspection technique has been developed. One characteristic of the technique is that defects are visualized by laser ray. Magnetic domains and domain walls of a magneto-optical sensor(MO sensor) are varied by the magnetic flux leaked by defects, and the variations are observed by the reflected light of the laser ray. The information of defect can remotely be inspected by this technique in a real time. This paper describes the results estimated on the 2-dimensional surface defects and opposite-side defects in a ferromagnetic material and the natural surface defect in a clutch disk wheel. The light region of a visible image and the magnitude of a reflected light increases as the input current of the magnetizer increases. The natural surface defect, that has not the width of crack's open mouth, can be also visualized like as 2-dimensional artificial defects.

  • Inter-turn short circuits can have significant effects on a generator and its performance. The Inter-turn short circuits sensor for synchronous generator's field winding has been developed. The sensor, installed in the generator air-gap, senses the slot leakage flux of field winding and produces a voltage waveform proportional to the rate of change of the flux. For identification of reliability for sensor, a shorted- turn test was performed at the Seoinchon combined cycle power plant on gas turbine generator and stim turbine generator. This sensor will be used as a detecting of Inter-turn short circuits for synchronous generator's field winding.

  • This paper describes how an Artificial Neural Network(ANN) can be employed to improve a speed estimation in a vector controlled induction motor drive. The system uses the ANN to estimate changes in the motor resistance, which enable the sensorless speed control method to work more accurately. Flux Observer is used for speed estimation in this system. Obviously the accuracy of the speed control of motor is dependent upon how well the parameters of the induction machine are known. These parameters vary with the operating conditions of the motor; both stator resistance(Rs) and rotor resistance(Rr) change with temperature, while the stator leakage inductance varies with load. This paper proposes a parameter compensation technique using artificial neural network for accurate speed estimation of induction motor and simulation results confirm the validity of the proposed scheme.

  • Magnetic wedge is proposed for improving the motor performance and to reduce the ripple of air gap flux. Carter's coefficient plays very important role when the ampere turns or exciting current is calculated. In this paper, we calculate the Carter's coe. by FEM taking into account the magnetic anisotropy of magnetic wedge in simple manner and analyze the effect of the wedge. And we analyze the slot leakage flux according to the wedge property.

새로운 유도전동기 손실 최소화 벡터제어 (New Loss Minimization Vector Control for Induction Motors)

  • This paper proposes a new loss minimization control method for the vector controlled induction motors. The aim of the proposed loss minimization method is how to determine the optimal flux reference to minimize the total loss of induction motor. Even though the proposed algorithm is based on the equivalent circuit of induction motor including iron loss and leakage inductance, the algorithm is easy to be found and simple to be implemented. Futhermore, the proposed loss minimization algorithm can be applied easily to the traditional vector control system without any additional hardware. Simulation and experimental results are given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • A novel topology for the magnet gear is proposed in this study. Differently from the existing methods, both sides of magnet array in this topology are used, resulting in increasing the efficiency of the mechanism. The closed magnetic path between the magnetic elements decreases the leakage flux, so the interlinking magnetic flux through the air-gap is focused and intensified. This paper discusses the dominant parameters of the proposed magnet gear influencing the resulting transmission torque. The parameters are designed from the sensitivity analysis using the commercial FEM analysis tool. And, the test setup for verifying the performance of the system is described.
