간호대학생의 대학생활 적응과 리더십역량 강화를 위한 멘토링 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Evaluation of a Mentoring Program Designed to Assist Nursing Students Adjust to Life in College and Strengthen their Leadership Abilities)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 대학생활 적응도 향상 및 리더십 역량 증진을 위한 멘토링 프로그램 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하기 위해 시행되었다. 본 연구의 멘토링 프로그램은 멘토링의 기능을 기반으로 선행연구 결과를 반영하여 총 9회기로 구성되었다. 프로그램 효과를 평가하기 위해서 비동등성 대조군 전후 유사 실험설계 연구를 진행하였으며, 2014년 3월 3일부터 5월 30일까지 프로그램의 적용 및 자료수집이 진행되었다. 실험군은 멘티20명(1,2학년), 멘토 20명(3, 4학년)으로 프로그램 실시 전, 후에 사전, 사후조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 멘티 실험군은 멘티 대조군에 비해 대학생활 적응 점수가 유의하게 증가하였다. 멘토 실험군의 사후 리더십 점수는 사전 보다 유의하게 증가하였으나, 멘토 실험군과 대조군의 사후-사전 점수의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 간호대학생의 대학생활적응도를 향상시키고 리더십 역량을 증진시키기 위한 멘토링 프로그램 개발은 유의한 효과가 있다고 여겨지며 리더십 역량을 더욱 증진 시킬 수 있는 프로그램 내용의 보완이 필요하다고 제언한다.

핵사곤 리더십이 종업원 인게이지먼트에 미치는 영향 (A Study of Employee engagement on Hexagon Leadership)

  • 한국의 대형 유통회사인 홈플러스는 단기간에 대규모 성장을 하였다. 이 회사를 성공적으로 성장하게 한 가장 중요한 요소 인 핵사곤 리더십은 경영자의 삶의 경험, 경영 철학을 기반으로 리더의 기본적인 자질을 키우는 역량을 강조한 특징을 갖고 있다. 핵사곤의 주요 포인트는 사람, 일, 성과, 관리, 운영, 교육과 성장 등의 조직운영의 기본요소와 성공과 실패, 경영의 효율과 효과 등의 상세한 분석을 통해 현업의 경험을 바탕을 기반으로 매우 실천적인 이론을 구축하였다. 핵사곤 리더십은 스킬이 아닌 리더의 자질을 강조하는 것이 특징이다. 6가지의 리더가 갖추어야하는 리더십 자질이 개별적으로 발현되는 것 보다는 동시에 발현될 경우 더 큰 시너지효과를 발휘하며 이를 위해 교육을 통해 지속적으로 구성원들에게 내재화를 시키고 있다. 이러한 분야의 연구를 위해 한국의 'H'그룹의 종업원들의 몰입의 결과를 'Viewpoint'라는 매년 실시되는 평가 방식을 통해 성과가 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 비재무적인 성과들이 재무적 성과로 이어지는 결과를 볼 수 있다.

동적교류 기반 효과적인 멘토링 커뮤니티 구현 (An Implementation of a Mentoring Community System focused on Dynamic Communication)

  • 최근, E-러닝에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 E-러닝 형태의 교육들이 증가하였다. 그 중 현대사회의 지도자 역할인 리더를 양성하는 리더십 교육이 중요해 지고 있다. 리더십 활동은 상담자와 비상담자 간의 관계를 통해 영향을 주기도 하며 받기도 한다. 그러나 리더십 활동은 일방적으로 교육이 이루어지는 E-러닝 학습의 개념과 달라서 구체화하기가 어렵다. 또한, 오프라인으로 진행되는 경우가 많기 때문에 시간과 공간적인 제약을 많이 받게 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 교수와 학생이 하나의 주제를 가진 공간에서 멘토와 멘티가 되어 하나의 리더십 커뮤니티를 형성하는 온라인 멘토링 커뮤니티를 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 멘토와 멘티가 자유롭게 만날 수 있을 뿐 아니라 새로운 평가 체계의 도입으로 동적 평가를 할 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 멘토링 커뮤니티를 설계하고 그 의미와 구현방안을 소개한다.

비즈니스 시뮬레이션으로 살펴본 스마트워크의 확산 기간과 생산성 연구 (The Diffusion Period and Productivity of Smartwork by Business Simulation)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the diffusion period and productivity of smartwork in an organization. Firms are increasingly interested in smartwork for non contact work and working from home because of the corona 19. The smartwork is a new technology that changes face-to-face work in an organization. It helps the work of individuals and organizations regardless of time and place. The theoretical background describes the complexity, system thinking, diffusion theory, smart work, organizational resistance, and productivity. This study analyzes the diffusion period and productivity of smart work through business simulation techniques. A simulation study progresses four stages. There are problem definition, hypothesis establishment and causal loop diagram, model construction and verification, and policy evaluation. The simulation models contain an individual's resistance variables organizational investment and leadership variables related to the operation of smartwork. The organizational investment variables include organizational culture, legal system, implement systems and technology investment. The individual resistance variables include cognitive, attitude, structure and technological resistance. The leadership includes leadership interest variables and performance linkage variables. The simulation executed the changes of a people number adopting smart work and the organizational productivity monthly. As a result of the simulation, many organization members have accepted the smart work innovation after 20 months. The organizational productivity through smart work showed very high value after 16 months. In scenario analysis, the individuals' awareness and attitude resistance showed very important variables to productivity and a personal change of smart work adoption. Meanwhile, The organizational investment showed that the high driving-force increased not productivity and the low driving-force showed decreased low productivity. Also, leadership variables showed a powerful driver for changing smart work productivity. The implication of the study has suggested extending complexity, diffusion theory and organization resistance theory based on simulation methods.

제조업 기반 R&D 조직에서의 품질경영 (Evaluation of TQM Implementation in Manufacturing-based R&D Organizations)

  • The research literature presents that Total Quality Management (TQM) has been successfully embraced by firms for strategic and operational management in the last decades. However few studios analyze the role of TQM practices in the R&D environment. The objective of this study is to evaluate TQM practices implemented in manufacturing-based R&D organizations with respect to R&D performance. Our research model is primarily based on Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence framework, including three moderating variables (industry type, organization size, quality management system certification), to propose hypotheses on the relationships between leadership practice, management practice and R&D performance. Results of canonical correlation analysis using data from 130 R&D organizations show that in aggregate leadership practice is positively related to management practice which is, in turn, positively related to R&D performance. These relationships are, however, affected by the moderating variables. Our results imply that TQM practices can be strategically adopted in the R&D organization.

  • Recently due to the crisis of environment and resources, construction industry that effect a lot on nature than any other industries is essentially required to consider environmental element through the life cycle. Lots of advanced countries and Korea have already been running green building certification systems. However, GBCC(Green Building Certification Criteria) in Korea is lack of assessment criteria that apply environmental characteristics of tall building in compared with that in advanced countries. To improve the problem, we compared GBCC with LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) through the case study. This study provides preliminary data for reflecting environmental characteristics of tall building in GBCC.

  • The purpose of this article is to depict the organizational effectiveness of "A" Subway Corporation based on the cognitive response of employees(subway drivers). To attain this purpose, several aspects of current personnel aid organization management system and organizational culture are surveyed through questionaire and analyzed by SPSS. The questionaire includes two parts of items. First, it includes items on personnel-related factors such as evaluation system job, wage, role, leadership and job satisfaction. Second, it includes items on organizational culture model suggested by Rousseau. The major findings are : 1) In general the cognitive response of driven concerning personnel-related aspects is to a certain degree negative. 2) The cognitive response of drivers concerning culture-related aspects is awfully negative. 3) Job satisfaction of drivers is highly related to role and leadership factors in terms of personnel-related aspects, on the one hard, and to achievement factor in terms of culture, on the other hand.

Fuzzy AHP Approach to TQM Strategy Evaluation

  • In recent years, many electronics producing firms have looked upon total quality management (TQM) strategy as a means by which they could maintain competitive advantage. This empirical research evaluates TQM strategic factors in order to determine the critical success factors in environmental uncertainty. Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) is the proposed research methodology to discuss and tackle the different decision criteria like effective leadership, people management, customer focus, strategic plan and process management, being involved in identifying the TQM strategic critical success factors with uncertainty. The result shows that effective leadership is the most critical success factor in TQM strategy.

Impact of Quality Management Practices on Suppliers' Quality Performance: Empirical Evidence from Korean Automotive Parts Suppliers

  • Recent research on quality management systemically explored the use of quality management practices and performance. The consequences of using quality practices have not been consistently confirmed despite an increasing number of published empirical studies. The results of empirical studies of quality practices and performance are mixed. This study examines which quality management practices indicate high-, medium-, and low-performance under the TQM framework using MANOVA and multiple discriminant analysis (MDA). To measure quality management practices, this study used the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) framework. Based on a survey of 490 suppliers from eleven different industries in Korea, the results revealed that the high performing group surpasses the medium and low performing groups in process management, employee empowerment, employee education and training, and employee satisfaction. Furthermore, the high and medium performing groups exceed the low performing group in human resource planning and evaluation, strategic deployment, leadership system, and senior executive leadership.

Borne of the Cold War: Malaya/Malaysia from a Historical Perspective, c. 1950's-c.1990's

  • Malaya attained independence on August 31, 1957 from Britain. However this new nation faced a communist insurgency known today as the "Malayan Emergency" (1948-1960). Then in 1961, Tunku announced a wider federation of "Malaysia", viz. Malaya, British Crown Colonies of Singapore, Sarawak and North Borneo, and the protectorate of Brunei. Countering communism was a principal motive for "Malaysia". Sarawak's leftist elements were rejected with an armed opposition. Malaysia was formed excluding Brunei. Amidst its birth pangs, Malaysia faced hostile neighbors Indonesia and the Philippines; the former objected by way of Konfrontasi (1963-1967) while the latter laid claim to Sabah (formerly North Borneo). Malaya/ Malaysia was borne in the midst of the Cold War (1947-1991), a bipolar world between the US and the USSR. Malaya/Malaysia is utilized as a case of analysis and evaluation in the context of the twin trends of continuities and transformations in tracing the historical developments from the 1950's to the 1990's. The risks, motives, and challenges that prompted the shift in foreign relations reveal as much of the personality of the political leadership, the prevailing situations, and conditions from within and circumstances from without.
