The synthesis of organic and hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites directly from solution improves the cost- and energy-efficiency of processing. To date, numerous research efforts have been devoted to investigating the influence of the various solvent parameters for the synthesis of lead halide perovskites, focused on the effects of different single solvents on the efficiency of the resulting perovskites. In this work, we investigated the effect of solvent blends for the first time on the structure and phase of perovskites produced via the Lewis base vapor diffusion method to develop a new synthetic approach for water-stable CsPbBr3 particles with nanometer-sized dimensions. Solvent blends prepared with DMF and water-miscible solvents with different Gutmann's donor numbers (DN) affect the Pb ions differently, resulting in a variety of lead bromide species with various colors. The use of a DMF/isopropanol solvent mixture was found to induce the formation of the Ruddlesden-Popper perovskite based on lead bromide. This perovskite undergoes a blue color shift in the solvated state owing to the separation of nanoplatelets. In contrast, the replacement of isopropanol with DMSO, which has a high DN, induces the formation of spherical CsPbBr3 perovskite nanoparticles that exhibit green emission. Finally, the integration of acetone in the solvent system leads to the formation of lead bromide complexes with a yellow-orange color and the perovskite CsPbBr3.

Upregulation of the nutritional value of feed is the major target of various studies in the livestock industry, and dietary enzyme supplementation could aid in digesting the nondegrading nutrients of grains in feed ingredients. Dried distillers' grains with solubles (DDGS) is a byproduct of the fermentation process in the beverage industry and can be used as a large supply source of fiber in feed. Therefore, we conducted an experiment with male broiler chickens to investigate the effect of various types of enzymes on DDGS and compare the efficacy of single enzyme and multienzyme complexes on growth performance and gut environments in broiler chickens. We used 420 1-day-old broiler chickens (Ross 308), and they were allotted into 4 dietary treatments with seven replications (CON, corn-soybean meal [SBM] diet; NC, DDGS supplemented diet; SE, 0.05 % of mannanase supplemented DDGS-based diet; MC, 0.10% of multienzyme complex (mannanase and xylanase, glucanase) supplemented DDGS-based diet. The dietary exogenous enzyme in the DDGS-supplemented diet could improve growth performance as much as the growth of the control group, and digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, and gross energy were significantly increased by enzyme addition in groups of chicks fed DDGS-supplementation diet. Moreover, the populations of pathogenic bacteria, coliforms, and Bacteroidetes were significantly decreased by enzyme supplementation, which might lead to improved gut mucus-secreting cells and inflammatory cytokines in the jejunum. Collectively, dietary single enzyme and multienzyme complexes could improve gut environments, including intestinal immune responses and gut microbial population, and lead to improvement of growth performance in broiler chickens.
Tetrabutylammonium Fluorodichloroplumbate(II), N$(C_4H_9)_4$[$PbCl_2F$], TBAFDiCP and Tetrabutylammonium Fluorodiiodoplumbate(II), [$(C_4H_9)_4$N][$PbI_2F$], TBAFDiIP are the first examples of fluoroplumbate salts that have been prepared from the reaction of $(C_4H_9)_4$NF with $PbCl_2$ and $PbI_2$ respectively using either $CH_3CN$ solvent. These new compound characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV/Visible, $^1H$ NMR, and $^{19}F$ NMR techniques.
A new series of highly water soluble platinum(II) complexes {Pt(II)[1,3-bis(phenylthio) propane](trans- -1,2-diaminocyclohexane) (PC-1) and Pt(II)[1,3-bis-(phenythio)propane] cis-1,2-diaminocyclohexane(PC-2)} were synthesized, and characterized by their elemental analysis and by various spectroscopic techniques[infrared(IR), 13C-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)]. In vitro antitumor activity of new Pt(II) complexes was tested against P-388 and L-1210 mouse lymphocytic leukemia cell lines, PC-14 / P, PC-14/ADM and PC-14 / CDDP human pulmonary adenocarcinima, DU-145 human prostate carcinoma, HT-1376 human bladder carcinoma, ZR-75-1 human breast carcinoma, MKN-45/P and MKN-45/CDDP human gastric adenocarcinoma cell lines using colorimetric MTT[3-(4,5-dimethyl thiazol-2-yl)-2.5-diphenyltetrazoliumbromide] assay for cell survival and proliferation. PC-1 showed active against L-1210, P-388 leukemia, human lung, stomach, prostate, bladder and breast cancer cell lines, and the antitumor activity of these compounds were comparable or superior to those of PC-2 and displatin. The nephrotoxicities of PC-1 and PC-2 were found quite less than that of cisplatin using MTT and [3H] thymidine uptake in rabbit proximal tubule cells and human kidney cortical cells. Based on these results, this novel platinum (II) complex compound (PC-1) represents a valuable lead in the development of a new anticancer chemotherapeutic agent capable of improving antitumor activity and low nephrotoxicity.
Zn-AC and Zn-H-AC series prepared from non- and surface-modified activated carbon were investigated in terms of their hydrogen production capacity. An increase in the concentration of the zinc salts used with these series was shown to lead to a decrease in the values of the surface textural properties. The existence of zinc complexes on the surface was confirmed from an analysis of XRD data. The SEM micrographs of the two different sample types showed that the transformation of the carbon surface with an acid pre-treatment significantly change the metal contents on the surfaces of the carbon matrix. The EDX spectra indicated that all of the samples were richer in the amount of oxygen and zinc compared to any other elements. The results obtained using the Boehm's titration method showed that the positive introduction of the acidic groups on the carbon surfaces with the acid treatment is correlated with an increase in the amounts of zinc complexes with variation of the acidic groups. In terms of the hydrogen production performance, the volume fractions of the Zn-H-AC series were found to produce higher amounts than the Zn-AC series as a function of the metal contents considering the effects of the acid treatment.
Rhodium(III)-$Cp^*$ complexes containing labile ligands, $[Cp^*RhCl_2]_2$, [$Cp^*Rh({\eta}^2-NO_3)$(OTf)], and $[Cp^*Rh(OH_2)_3](OTf)_2$, reacted with potential linking ligands [$L^1$ = (2-thiophene)-CH=N-N=CH-(2-thiophene); $L^2$ = (2-furan)-CH=N-N=CH-(2-furan)] to give two molecular compounds, [$Cp^*Rh(L^1)Cl_2$] (1) and [$Cp^*Rh({\eta}^2-NO_3)(L^1)$]$(OTf){\cdot}CH_2Cl_2$ ($2{\cdot}CH_2Cl_2$), and one 1-dimensioanl coordination polymer, $\{[Rh(L^2)]{\cdot}(OTf)}_{\infty}$ (3). Whereas one imine nitrogen atom within the ligand is coordinated to the Rh metal in compounds 1 and 2, both nitrogen atoms are bound to two neighboring Rh metals in compound 3 to lead to a 1-D chain polymer.

Rapid urbanization has led to the decline of local communities in old city centers and the deterioration of school facilities, resulting in an increased need for school complexes. School complexes are currently growing, with various policies being proposed. However, integrating additional facilities into the existing infrastructure in schools can lead to a range of issues. To mitigate these issues, additional traffic flow paths and complex integration strategies are required. This study categorizes school complex projects into various types based on themes and examines the relationships between each type and community revitalization factors. Through this analysis, the study recommends desirable directions for the implementation of elementary school complex projects to revitalize local communities.
The aim of this study was to evaluate heavy metal contamination and pollution index of agricultural soils around industrial complexes in the Jeon-Buk Regions of Korea. Soil samples near industrial complexes in 2017 were collected at two depths (0 - 15 and 15 - 30 cm) within a 500- and 1000-meter radius before planting. Eight heavy metals (Arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), Cupper (Cu), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg) and zinc (Zn)) and the pollution index (PI), geoaccumulation index (Igeo) and soil pollution index (SPI) were evaluated based on soil contamination warning standard (SCWS). Overall, the heavy metal concentrations were below the SCWS. The PI ranged from 0.1 to 0.9 and categorized into Group 1 which is not polluted with any heavy metals. The average Igeo values of all the soil samples ranged from - 2.56 to 3.22. The Igeo values of Cd and Hg may not represent well the pollution index because the heavy metal concentrations in the soil is lower compared to the SCWS. In fact, based on the heavy metal concentrations, the Igeo for monitored soils should be categorized into Group 1, uncontaminated to moderately contaminated. However, the Igeo of Cd and Hg are classified into heavily contaminated. These results suggest that for calculating the Igeo, the heavy metal concentration and background concentration should be used very carefully if the heavy metal concentration in the soil is lower than the background concentration. SPI for all the soil samples ranged from 0.00 to 0.11 which indicates no heavy metal pollution was observed.
Agricultural soils near or around industrial complexes can contain a certain amount of heavy metals that readily enter the food chain and negatively affect human health. Therefore, we conducted the study to investigate the distribution of selected heavy metals, including arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), and zinc (Zn), in farm-land soils around fifteen industrial complexes in the southwestern provinces, Korea. The concentrations of heavy metals in the soil samples were determined by the pseudo-total aqua regia (3 HCl : $1HNO_3$) digestion procedure. The heavy metal concentrations in most soils examined did not exceed the levels of Soil Contamination Warning Standard (SCWS) for agricultural lands (Region 1) presented in Soil Environment Conservation Law (SECL) established by Ministry of Environment (MOE), Korea. However, only one sampling site showed higher As amount ($27.1mg\;kg^{-1}$) than the SCWS level of As ($25mg\;kg^{-1}$). Pollution index (PI) for heavy metals did not exceed 1.0. The PI values were significantly positively correlated (p < 0.01) with the heavy metal concentrations. In particular, the values of correlation coefficient between the Cd and Pb concentrations and the PI values were higher than those estimated from other combinations, and thus the amounts of Cd and Pb in the agricultural soils highly affected the PI values for the heavy metals.
The stability constants of lead acetato conplexes were evaluated in various ionic strengths (2.00, 1.00, and 0.75), and at various temperature (15, 20, 25, 30, and $35^{\circ}C$), respectively, by the polarographic and potentiometric method of which Hume and Leden had described. The existence of three complex ions, $PbAc^+$, $PbAc_2$, and $PbAc_3^-$ have been shown in the range of concentration of 0~0.8 mole acetate ion. Referring to values obtained, we have derived the following empirical formula with the stability constant (Kijk), ternperature (Tk) and ionic strength (${\mu}j$). log Kijk = (Ai/${\mu}j^3$+ Bi) / Tk + Ci/${\mu}j^3$ + Di . The deduced and observed stability constants are matched in 5% for the K, and $K_3$, and 20% for the $K_2$.
