선택적 레이저 용융 공정을 이용한 316L 스테인리스 강의 제조 시 공정 중단 및 재 시작이 미세조직과 국부 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Process Stopping and Restarting on the Microstructure and Local Property of 316L Stainless Steel Manufactured by Selective Laser Melting Process)

  • This study investigates the effect of process stopping and restarting on the microstructure and local nanoindentation properties of 316L stainless steel manufactured via selective laser melting (SLM). We find that stopping the SLM process midway, exposing the substrate to air having an oxygen concentration of 22% or more for 12 h, and subsequently restarting the process, makes little difference to the density of the restarted area (~ 99.8%) as compared to the previously melted area of the substrate below. While the microstructure and pore distribution near the stop/restart area changes, this modified process does not induce the development of unusual features, such as an inhomogeneous microstructure or irregular pore distribution in the substrate. An analysis of the stiffness and hardness values of the nano-indented steel also reveals very little change at the joint of the stop/restart area. Further, we discuss the possible and effective follow-up actions of stopping and subsequently restarting the SLM process.

  • 타이어 사고를 방지하기 위해 앱 인벤터와 블루투스 통신을 이용한 타이어 안전을 확인할 수 있는 애플리케이션을 개발하였다. 온도 센서로 외부 온도를 측정하여 계절의 변화를 알고 압력센서로 타이어의 공기압을 측정하여 외부 온도에 맞는 공기압을 알려주며 레이저 센서의 거리를 50mm이상과 각도를 45°로 해야 최적화된 타이어의 마모도를 측정할 수 있었다. 마모도 측정된 수치에 따라 타이어의 상태를 판단하여 앱 인벤터를 사용하여 블루투스 모듈을 통해 연동한 후 사용자의 핸드폰으로 타이어의 상태와 예상교체를 알 수 안전을 확인할 수 있는 애플리케이션을 개발하였다.

  • The CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy (HEA), which is the most widely known HEA with a single face-centered cubic structure, has attracted significant academic attention over the past decade owing to its outstanding multifunctional performance. Recent studies have suggested that CoCrFeMnNi-type HEAs exhibit excellent printability for selective laser melting (SLM) under a wide range of process conditions. Moreover, it has been suggested that SLM can not only provide great topological freedom of design but also exhibit excellent mechanical properties by overcoming the strength-ductility trade-off via producing a hierarchical heterogeneous microstructure. In this regard, the SLM-processed CoCrFeMnNi HEA has been extensively studied to comprehensively understand the mechanisms of microstructural evolution and resulting changes in mechanical properties. In this review, recent studies on CoCrFeMnNi-type HEAs produced using SLM are discussed with respect to process-induced microstructural evolution and the relationship between hierarchical heterogeneous microstructure and mechanical properties.

Super Duplex Stainless Steel Matrix Composites with High Strength and Favorable Ductility Achieved Through Laser Powder Bed Fusion and Powder Mixture

  • In order to evade the premature failure of super duplex stainless steels (SDSSs) in some harsh environments, the increase of their mechanical properties is a promising approach. In this study, based on the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) technique, SDSS matrix composites without post heat treatment were fabricated by using the powder mixture of SDSSs, super austenitic stainless steels (SASSs) and micron-sized TiC particles. Many in-situ TiCxNy nanoparticles were found to be formed by using micron-sized TiC particles in as-built composites, and both fine ferrite and austenite grains were generated. The as-built composites exhibited an excellent combination of high ultimate tensile strength (UTS) (~1066 MPa) and good uniform elongation (UE) (~15.6%), showing a better mechanical property compared with other reported LPBF-fabricated SDSSs, which was mainly attributed to the fine grain, Orowan and dislocation strengthening mechanisms. In particular, the successful fabrication of SDSS matrix composites can set the stage for producing high-performance metallic parts via LPBF technique.

  • 열을 발생하는 부품에 있어서 효과적으로 열방출 향상시키는 것은 부품의 신뢰성을 위해 중요한 사항이며, LTCC와 같은 고밀도 회로기판을 설계하는데 있어서 필수적으로 고려할 사항이다. 본 연구에서는 열전달을 향상시키기 위한 구조를 설계하였다. 또한, 열전달 효과를 조사하기 위해서 LTCC 기판 내에 열 비아 및 패드를 위치시킨 기판을 제작하였다. Laser Flash Method를 통해 재료의 열전도도 분석을 수행 하였다. 열비아 및 열방출을 위한 패드로 구성된 LTCC 기판의 열전도 특성은 순수 Ag 재료의 44%인 103 W/mK 특성 값을 나타내었다.

  • Recently, analysis of transient Raman backscattering in a plasma reported(2.3) that it is possible to reach 10$\^$17/ W/cm$^2$ for 1 micrometer wavelength laser pulse with a counter-propagating pump pulse. The basic mechanism is like this : whorl the two counter-propagating waves in a plasma satisfy the condition of Raman backscattering, w$\_$0/ : w$\_$1/ + w$\_$p/, energy is transferred from the long pulse to the short pulse via three wave interaction(4).   • To improve the luminescence characteristics of high-efficiency alternating-current plasma display panels (AC-PDPs), we developed a new hoof-type electrode structure, and we studied the spatiotemporal behavior of the density of the excited Xenon atom in the $1s_5$ metastable state via laser absorption spectroscopy. Using this structure, the maximum density of the excited Xenon atom per cell was improved by 2.4 times that when the conventional electrode structure was used.

  • In this paper we present a technique of discrete-time sliding mode controller design for assigning eigenvalues of sliding mode and determining a convergence rate to sliding surface. First the sliding mode coefficient is designed via Ackermann s formula. Then a linear controller is designed to enforce sliding mode such that the resulting closed loop yields the desired eigenvalues. As we use a linear control instead of nonlinear control, chattering is nearly eliminated. Simulation and experimental results are included to show the effectiveness of the proposed method for Laser Marking System.

원발성 국소 후두아밀로이드증 2례 (Two Cases of Primary Localized Amyloidosis of Larynx)

  • Primary localized laryngeal amyloidosis is an uncommon disorder of unknown cause that occurs in the absence of systemic amyloidosis or associated disease. There is a risk of either missing concomitant systemic amyloidosis or exhaustively investigating for this when it is not present through failure to appreciate the nature of the disease. We present 2 cases of primary localized laryngeal amyloidosis in supraglottic region. Biopsy of the mass of patients revealed findings consistent with amyloidosis, which were Congo red reaction with a apple green birefringence in polarized light fluorescence microscopy. An extensive workup for systemic amyloidosis was negative. All of two cases were treated by vaporization via $CO_2$ LASER using "Swiftlase Flshscan" for creating a wide, shallow char-free treatment site by precisely controlling ablation depth without causing residual thermal damage to tissue. The postoperative recovery of all cases was uneventful with good vocal quality and no aspiration. At the present time, the patients have no evidence of disease, recurrence and complication.

Eutectic Ceramic Composites by Melt-Solidification

  • While high-temperature ceramic composites consisting of carbides, borides, and nitrides, the so-called ultra-high-temperature ceramics (UHTCs), have been commonly produced through solid-state sintering, melt-solidification is an alternative method for their manufacture. As many UHTCs are binary or ternary eutectic systems, they can be melted and solidified at a relatively low temperature via a eutectic reaction. The microstructure of the eutectic composites is typically rod-like or lamellar, as determined by the volume fraction of the second phase. Directional solidification can help fabricate more sophisticated UHTCs with highly aligned textures. This review describes the fabrication of UHTCs through the eutectic reaction and explains their mechanical properties. The use of melt-solidification has been limited to small specimens; however, the recently developed laser technology can melt large-sized UHTCs, suggesting their potential for practical applications. An example of laser melt-solidification of a eutectic ceramic composite is demonstrated.
