Morphometric analysis of Lycorma delicatula was performed to confirm whether local individuals had a geographical difference in their wing variations. The L. delicatula individuals were collected from 10 localities in Korea, China, and Japan, and 14 morphometric characteristics selected from the forewing were analyzed. The Korean individuals were similar to the ones from the northern area of the Yangtze River, but less similar to the others from the southern area of the Yangtze River. The individuals from Seoul and Buan were very similar to those from Shanghai. In case of wing spots, the individuals from Beijing had relatively small spots, while the ones from Linan had big spots. The Japanese individuals had a relatively large wing size.

This paper aims to discussion the characteristics of location and spatial organization on Hongneung and Yureung(royal tomb) in Namyangju through the interpretation of traditional oriental philosophy including Feng-Shui theory. To do this, we studied in two ways; analysis of the present conditions and photographing research materials about the form of physical structure and review of historical document. The result of analysis in sight of the location and spatial structure was good matched. Main finding of this paper are as follows: The location and landscape structure was characterized by the harmony with natural following traditional thinking and the Korean view of nature, while maintaining the dignity of the King. The spatial organization were placed in a straight line following the hierarchy of metaphysics by order of Neungchim(Tombs Vicinity) - Changmyungdeung(Stone Lantern) - Chungjakak(Pavilion) - Hongsalmun(Gate for Heavenly Gods) and was based on the Confucianism value, the natural contour and inner value. Through this study, we find the principles made it possibles to re-evaluate nature in modem society and provided us with new ways to conserve nature with the help of environmental theory.

The probability of landslide hazards was predicted to natural terrain around the stone relics of Jinjeon-saji area, which is located in Yangyang, Kangwon Province. As the analysis results of field investigation, laboratory test and geology and geomorphology data, the effect factors of landslides occurrence were evaluated, and then the landslides prediction map was made up by use of prediction model considering the effect factors. The susceptibility of stone relics induced by landslides was investigated as the grading classification of occurrence probability using the landslides prediction map. In the landslides prediction map, the high probability area of landslides over 70% of occurrence probability was 3,489m3, which was 10.1% of total prediction area. If landslides are occurred at the high elevation area, the three stories stone pagoda of Jinjeon-saji (National treasure No.122) and the stone lantern of Jinjeon-saji (Treasure No.439) will be collapsed by debris flow.

For the safety of vessels sailing Marine Transport Facility announces sea route, reefs or shallow water. Photovoltaic, independent power system, installation in the general Marine Transport Facilities to be used in the marine lantern. Due to install of communications, controls, power consumption inceases. And the weather of cloudy day or rainy, generation of electricity is decrease. Recently, power system of marine facility using a hybrid generation system, photovoltaic generation system and wave power generation system. But increase of adhered shellfish inside the water column, is the cause of the reduction of efficiency. So study was conducted to Single channel AFS(Anti-Fouling system). In this paper we offer the Multi channel AFS for Marine Transport Facility and have simulated. Improve the accuracy of the research, we using the result of anode, in the experiment were actually in the buoy, is based on simulation. The experimental results is shown every anode's, in the Marine Transport Facility, ionization was conducted identically.

The cDNA of a firefly luciferase from lantern mRNA of Lampyroidea maculata has been cloned, sequenced and functionally expressed. The cDNA has an open reading frame of 1647 bp and codes for a 548-residue-long polypeptide. Noteworthy, sequence comparison as well as homology modeling showed the highest degree of similarity with H. unmunsana and L. mingrelica luciferases, suggesting a close phylogenetic relationship despite the geographical distance separation. The deduced amino acid sequence of the luciferase gene of firefly L. maculata showed 93% identity to H. unmunsana. Superposition of the three-dimensional model of L. maculata luciferase (generated by homology modeling) and three dimensional structure of Photinus pyralis luciferase revealed that the spatial arrangements of Luciferin and ATP-binding residues are very similar. Putative signature of AMP-binding domain among the various firefly species and Lampyroidea maculata was compared and a striking similarity was found. Different motifs and sites have been identified in Lampyroidea maculata by sequence analysis. Expression and purification of luciferase from Lampyroidea maculata was carried out using Ni-NTA Sepharose. Bioluminescence emission spectrum was similar to Photinus pyralis luciferase.
A light buoy is equipped with lighting functions and navigation signs. Its shape and colors indicate the route to vessels sailing nearby in the daytime, with its lights providing this information at night. It also plays a role in notifying the presence of obstacles such as reefs and shallows. When a light buoy operates in the ocean, the visibility and angle of light from the lantern installed on the buoy changes, which may cause them to function improperly. Therefore, it is necessary for the buoy to have stable and minimal motions under given environmental conditions, mainly waves. In this study, motion analyses for a newly developed lightweight light-buoy in waves were performed to predict the motion performance and determine the effect of the developed appendages for improving the motion performance. First, free decay tests, including benchmark cases, were performed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to estimate the viscous damping coefficients, which could not be obtained using potential-based simulations. A comparison was made of the results from potential-based simulations with and without considering viscous damping coefficients, which were estimated using CFD. It was confirmed that the pitch and heave motions of the buoy became smaller when the developed appendages were adopted.

This paper presents information about the examples of the design on Illumination of Structures(LED Light Pipe for lighthouse) in Korea. We have applied illumination by flood-lighting or facade-lighting in place of the 57 lighthouses (offshore structures) and 4 beacons. The ways of illumination of structures are using direct illumination with LED, halogen lamps and metal halide lamps, and indirect illumination with LED non-neon lamps. The illumination of structures helps a observer to identify the Aids to Navigation and w aterway. The fabricated LED Light Pipe is a transparent acrylic round bar and easy to install. The Light Pipe is arranged in two rows of L ED (78ea). It can be connected in series. It has 4 colours(Red, Green, Yellow, White). We analyzed and the horizontal divergence angle of the LED light pipe is defined as the range with 50% of maximum luminous intensity. Also, we evaluated the conspicuity on the origin al lantern and LED Light pipe for lighthouse. The field experiment was conducted in 'Yeosuguhang lighthouse' in Yeosu-city (Korea). F rom the experimental results, it was confirmed that the fabricated LED Light Pipe is clearly distinguished.

This study is to find out the plan intention of the central space through visual analysis on the east and west stone pagodas relative to a main Buddhist hall, and the relation between the stone pagodas in Hwaeomsa.(華嚴寺) According to the analysis of it in this study, we make conclusions as follows; 1) The east and west stone pagodas was arranged with overlapping each Daeungjeon(大雄殿) and Gakhwangjeon(覺皇殿) for the view of a specific viewpoint, on the right of Bojeru(普濟樓). 2) The centering around a compositive axis which connect Gakhwangjeon, stone lantern, and stairs, the axis of two stone pagodas is not coincident. 3) Courtyard in Hwaeomsa is separated by high a stone wall for reinforcement, but it is integrated into visual perception owing to height of two stone pagodas connected visual line to Daeungjeon and Gakhwangjeon.
In October 2018, a large fire occurred after an explosion in an internal floating roof tank (IFRT) that stores gasoline by wind lantern in Goyang city, Gyeonggi-do. Although there was no casualty damage, the fire inside the tank lasted for 17 hours, and caused a great wave socially, and it was a chance to review the safety of the atmospheric storage tank. In this study, the necessity of installing a flame arrester at peripheral vents was examined through the calculation of the size of ventilation pipe and ventilation rate of internal floating roof tanks in terms of the function of the peripheral vent. Next, the necessity of the emergency shut-off valve linked with the high-level alarm to prevent the overflow of the atmospheric storage tank was confirmed by LOPA. Finally, safety measures to prevent overpressure, flame propagation and overflow which cause major accidents in atmospheric storage tank are suggested.
The objective of this study was to analyze the characteristics of traditionality expressions at modernized Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. As a case study, the study examined 12 modernized Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong. The gathered data were categorized and examined according to the ways of traditionality expressions, which included reproduction, transformation, and reinterpretation of traditional components. Each of the components was measured for the amount of traditional or modernity expression on a five-point scale. The five-point scoring system put an emphasis on heritage; 1 point was given to principal modernity(modernity: 90-100% + tradition: 0-10%), 2 points were given to principal modernity + auxiliary tradition(modernity: 70-90% + tradition: 10-30%), 3 points were given to the same ratio between tradition and modernity(modernity: 40-60% + tradition: 40-60%), 4 points were given to principal tradition + auxiliary modernity(modernity: 10-30% + tradition: 70-90%), and 5 points were given to principal tradition(modernity: 0-10% + tradition: 90-100%). The analysis performed according to those criteria and methodologies led to the following findings and conclusions: Traditional components were most reproduced in the ornaments placed all over the restaurant and applied to the chirography of the restaurant logos, walls, and windows/doors in a big number. The methodology of transforming tradition was evenly applied to each of the spatial components. With the most transformations occurring to the lattices, there were many different ways to transform tradition including the partition, chirography, pattern, red lantern, furniture and ornament, and traditional materials that were turned into modern ones. Few examples of reinterpreting tradition were observed in the restaurant titles, inside floors, and ceilings, but plenty of examples were found in the walls, windows/doors, lighting, and furniture in a range of ways. Most of them reinterpreted the traditional forms and added altered patterns to them to remind customers of tradition. In short, all of the three ways of expressing tradition were actively applied to each component in an array of ways.
