GIS를 이용한 농지 잠재생산성평가 (Appraisal of Farmland Potential Productivity Using GIS)

  • 이 연구는 지리정보시스템(GIS)로 구한 토지생산성지수(FPI)와 노동생산성지수(LPI)를 적용하여 농지의 잠재생산성지수(PPI)를 산정할 수 있는 모형을 개발하였고, 최근 경지정리사업이 완료된 지구에 적용하여 개발된 모형의 적용성을 검토하였다. 토지 생산성지수(FPI)는 분석대상지역의 토양 특성 Poly Grid를 중첩하여 결정하였으며, 노동생산성 지수(LPI)는 직접생산비중 GIS Network 분석으로 구한 통작거리와 논지분포에 따른 노력비 추가분을 전체 직접생산비에 대하 비율로 환산하였다. 마수지구와 원천지구의 개별 농지에 대한 전체생산성지수(PPI)는 각각 0.967∼0.712, 0.986∼0.780으로 비교적 큰 변이를 나타낼 수 있어 농지 평가에 대한 객관적인 자료로 적용할 수 있을 것이다. 농지의 잠재생산성지수를 경지정리 사업의 환지사업, 농민상호간에 농지교환 및 합병사업에 적용함으로써 농지의 규모화 및 집단화을 유도하고 농지생산성을 극대화할 수 있을 것이다.

Analysis of BRD Components Over Major Land Types of Korea

  • The land surface reflectance is a key parameter influencing the climate near the surface. Therefore, it must be determined with sufficient accuracy for climate change research. In particular, the characteristics of the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) when using earth observation system (EOS) are important for normalizing the reflected solar radiation from the earth's surface. Also, wide swath satellites like SPOT/VGT (VEGETATION) permit sufficient angular sampling, but high resolution satellites are impossible to obtain sufficient angular sampling over a pixel during short period because of their narrow swath scanning. This gives a difficulty to BRDF model based reflectance normalization of high resolution satellites. The principal objective of the study is to add BRDF modeling of high resolution satellites and to supply insufficient angular sampling through identifying BRDF components from SPOT/VGT. This study is performed as the preliminary data for apply to high-resolution satellite. The study provides surface parameters by eliminating BRD effect when calculated biophysical index of plant by BRDF model. We use semi-empirical BRDF model to identify the BRD components. This study uses SPOT/VGT satellite data acquired in the S1 (daily) data. Modeled reflectance values show a good agreement with measured reflectance values from SPOT satellite. This study analyzes BRD effect components by using the NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and the angle components such as solar zenith angle, satellite zenith angle and relative azimuth angle. Geometric scattering kernel mainly depends on the azimuth angle variation and volumetric scattering kernel is less dependent on the azimuth angle variation. Also, forest from land cover shows the wider distribution of value than cropland, overall tendency is similar. Forest shows relatively larger value of geometric term ($K_1{\cdot}f_1$) than cropland, When performed comparison between cropland and forest. Angle and NDVI value are closely related.

매립지 가스 발생량 평가 - 청주권 광역생활폐기물 매립장 사례연구 (Assessment of Landfill Gas Generation - A Case Study of Cheongju Megalo Landfill)

  • Methane is a potent greenhouse gas and methane emissions from landfills have been linked to global warming. In this study, LandGEM (Landfill Gas Emission Model) was applied to predict landfill gas quantity over time, and then this result was compared with the data surveyed on the site, Cheongju Megalo Landfill. LandGEM allows the input of site-specific values for methane generation rate (k) and potential methane generation capacity $L_o$, but in this study, k value of 0.05/yr and $L_o$ value of $170m^3/Mg$ were considered to be most appropriate for reflecting non-arid temperate region conventional landfilling, Cheongju Megalo Landfill. High discrepancies between the surveyed data and the predicted data about landfill gas seems to be derived from insufficient compaction of daily soil-cover, inefficient recovery of landfill gas and banning of direct landfilling of food garbage waste in 2005. This study can be used for dissemination of information and increasing awareness about the benefits of recovering and utilizing LFG (landfill gas) and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.

뉴로-퍼지 모델을 이용한 항공다중분광주사기 영상의 지표면 분류 (Land Surface Classification With Airborne Multi-spectral Scanner Image Using A Neuro-Fuzzy Model)

  • In this paper, we propose and apply new classification method to the remotely sensed image acquired from airborne multi-spectral scanner. This is a neuro-fuzzy image classifier derived from the generic model of a 3-layer fuzzy perceptron. We implement a classification software system with the proposed method for land cover image classification. Comparisons with the proposed and maximum-likelihood classifiers are also presented. The results show that the neuro-fuzzy classification method classifies more accurately than the maximum likelihood method. In comparing the maximum-likelihood classification map with the neuro-fuzzy classification map, it is apparent that there is more different as amount as 7.96% in the overall accuracy. Most of the differences are in the "Building" and "Pine tree", for which the neuro-fuzzy classifier was considerably more accurate. However, the "Bare soil" is classified more correctly with the maximum-likelihood classifier rather than the neuro-fuzzy classifier.

Chronological Changes of Soil Organic Carbon from 2003 to 2010 in Korea

  • Chronological changes of soil organic carbon (SOC) must be prepared by IPCC guidelines for national greenhouse gas inventories. IPCC suggested default reference SOC stocks for mineral soils and relative stock factors for different management activities where country own factors were not prepared. 3.4 million data were downloaded from agricultural soil information system and analyzed to get chronological changes of SOC for some counties and for land use in Korea. SOC content of orchard soil was higher than the other soils but chronological SOC changes of all land use had no tendency in differences with high standard deviation. SOC contents of counties depended on their own management activities and chronological SOC changes of districts also had no tendency in differences. Thus, Korea should survey the official records and relative stock factors on management activities such as land use, tillage and input of organic matter to calculate SOC stocks correctly. Otherwise, Korea should establish a model for predicting SOC by analyzing selected representative fields and by calculating SOC differences from comparing management activities of lands with those of representative fields.

Adaptive Reconstruction of Harmonic Time Series Using Point-Jacobian Iteration MAP Estimation and Dynamic Compositing: Simulation Study

  • Irregular temporal sampling is a common feature of geophysical and biological time series in remote sensing. This study proposes an on-line system for reconstructing observation image series contaminated by noises resulted from mechanical problems or sensing environmental condition. There is also a high likelihood that during the data acquisition periods the target site corresponding to any given pixel may be covered by fog or cloud, thereby resulting in bad or missing observation. The surface parameters associated with the land are usually dependent on the climate, and many physical processes that are displayed in the image sensed from the land then exhibit temporal variation with seasonal periodicity. A feedback system proposed in this study reconstructs a sequence of images remotely sensed from the land surface having the physical processes with seasonal periodicity. The harmonic model is used to track seasonal variation through time, and a Gibbs random field (GRF) is used to represent the spatial dependency of digital image processes. The experimental results of this simulation study show the potentiality of the proposed system to reconstruct the image series observed by imperfect sensing technology from the environment which are frequently influenced by bad weather. This study provides fundamental information on the elements of the proposed system for right usage in application.

  • 본 논문은 CDMA PCS 이동통신 시스템의 망 설계를 위하여 거리에 따른 신호 감쇄 현상 분석 모델(변형된 Hata path loss model) 및 통계적 신호 강도 분포 모델(Log-Normal 분포)을 제시한다. 제시된 모델에 대구 산적동 및 수성동 지역의 측정 데이터를 적용하여 이들 지역에서 신호 강도의 세기가 임계치를 초과하는 지역의 백분율을 산출하여 망 설계의 기본 자료로 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.

Atmospheric Correction of Sentinel-2 Images Using Enhanced AOD Information

  • Accurate atmospheric correction is essential for the analysis of land surface and environmental monitoring. Aerosol optical depth (AOD) information is particularly important in atmospheric correction because the radiation attenuation by Mie scattering makes the differences between the radiation calculated at the satellite sensor and the radiation measured at the land surface. Thus, it is necessary to use high-quality AOD data for an appropriate atmospheric correction of high-resolution satellite images. In this study, we examined the Second Simulation of a Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum (6S)-based atmospheric correction results for the Sentinel-2 images in South Korea using raster AOD (MODIS) and single-point AOD (AERONET). The 6S result was overall agreed with the Sentinel-2 level 2 data. Moreover, using raster AOD showed better performance than using single-point AOD. The atmospheric correction using the single-point AOD yielded some inappropriate values for forest and water pixels, where as the atmospheric correction using raster AOD produced stable and natural patterns in accordance with the land cover map. Also, the Sentinel-2 normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) after the 6S correction had similar patterns to the up scaled drone NDVI, although Sentinel-2 NDVI had relatively low values. Also, the spatial distribution of both images seemed very similar for growing and harvest seasons. Future work will be necessary to make efforts for the gap-filling of AOD data and an accurate bi-directional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) model for high-resolution atmospheric correction. These methods can help improve the land surface monitoring using the future Compact Advanced Satellite 500 in South Korea.

북한지역 토지자산 추정에 관한 연구: 프레임워크 개발 및 탐색적 적용 (Estimating Land Assets in North Korea: Framework Development & Exploratory Application)

  • 본 연구는 북한당국이 발표하는 지역별 토지가격이나 토지의 특성에 관한 자료들이 없는 조건에서 북한지역의 토지가격과 토지자산의 규모를 추정하는 방법론과 모형을 제시하고 이를 이용하여 북한 시가화지역 전체를 대상으로 시장가격 기준의 토지자산 규모를 실험적으로 추정하였다. 우선 관련 사회경제적 변수를 이용가능하면서 최근의 북한과 소득수준의 격차가 상대적으로 크지 않았던 것으로 평가되는 남한의 1970년대 중후반, 그리고 도시화 수준이 유사했던 1980년대 초반 남한의 시, 군, 구별 실거래가격을 기준으로 시가화지역 토지에 대한 지가결정함수를 도출하였다. 다음으로 북한지역에 대한 지리정보분석을 통해 도출되는 지가결정요인의 대리변수들을 대입하여 2015년경 북한 시가화지역 토지의 시, 군, 구역별 상대가격비율을 산출하였다. 더 나아가서 최근 북한지역 일부 도시들을 대상으로 조사된 주택거래가격과 본고에서 추정한 상대가격비율을 결합하여 북한전역을 대상으로 시가화지역의 토지자산 규모를 추정하였다. 추정결과 북한 시가화지역의 토지가격은 시, 군, 구역별 상대가격비율로 볼 때 평양시 동대원구역이 100으로 제일 높고 양강도 풍서군이 1.70으로 가장 낮은 것으로 평가되었다. 한편 시가화지역의 토지자산 규모는 2015년 기준 216억 달러로 추정되었는데, 이는 동년 북한GDP의 1.2~1.3배에 달하는 규모이다. 이 비율은 남한의 1978~1980년과 비슷한데, 해당시기의 남한의 경제성장률이 평균 6%인데 반해 북한은 1%대 수준인 것을 고려하면 상당히 높은 것으로 보인다.

UrbanSim을 이용한 부동산 가격 모델 - 서울시 용산구를 사례로 (A Land Price Model using UrbanSim - Focusing on Yongsan-Gu in Seoul)

  • 도시 계획의 중요성이 부각되면서 다양한 도시 통합 모델의 개발이 이루어져왔으나 기존 모델들은 거시적 측면의 토지이용의 변화만 다루는 한계점이 있다. 본 논문은 토지이용 변화뿐만 아니라 다양한 사회 경제 지표를 반영하여 미시적인 분석이 가능한 UrbanSim 모델을 사용하여 사례연구를 통한 국내 도입 가능성과 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 수치지적도, 건축물 대장, 개별 공시지가 등 다양한 시공간 데이터를 이용하여 $150{\times}150m$ 그리드 셀 기반의 입력 데이터베이스를 구축하고 UrbanSim의 Land Price Model에 적용하였다. 향후 보다 현실적인 모델 수행을 위한 다중 스케일 및 Synthetic 데이터 구축 방안과 접근성 측면의 교통 통합 모델로 확장이 요구된다.
