This study was conducted to analyze the impact of industrial park development on the livelihood of people living around the industrial parks in the Central region of Vietnam. The data was collected from 394 households living around these industrial parks; using the data, the authors employed a quantification model among factors affecting the income of families living in the surroundings of industrial parks and they calculate the adaptive capacity of households to consider the impact of the development of industrial parks on people's livelihood. Research findings show that industrial park development has both positive and negative impacts on the livelihood of people living around the industrial parks. Specifically, the factors that positively affect the income of households living around industrial parks include the area of land acquired due to the construction of industrial parks, the transportation system after the industrial park has located there, and the number of jobs available when the industrial park is being built. The factor that negatively affects the income of households living around industrial parks when they are under construction is the number of unemployed laborers. The study also calculated that the adaptive capacity of the people after the industrial park development is a coefficient of 0.376.

This study is based on an empirical study on consequences of emotions and emotional labor in the food-service industry. It analyzed the effect of emotional labor on emotions of emotional laborers and the effect of emotional labor on communication skills. Data used for analysis were collected through the questionnaire surveyed on the various samples including employees of family restaurants, Korean restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Japanese restaurants, etc. The result of data analysis indicated that only the efforts for emotional expressions among the factors influenced affirmative emotion(P-value=0.042). It also showed that the factor of the efforts for emotional expressions by researchers had a positive effect on both language communication skills and non-language communication skills(P-value=0.000). This study was valuable in the aspect that emotions and communication skills were first selected as dependent variables of emotional labor and it verified causality between emotional labor and these variables. However, it also has some limitations that its sample size was small and it depended on convenience sampling.

This study is to make legal suggestions concerning the legal status of the physical therapists and the their clinics io Korea. This study compares the legal status of the physical therapists with that of the optical and dental technicians, and reviews the current system of the American physical therapeutic clinic. 1. Under the supervision of the doctor or dentist' in Article 1 of Law concerning the Medical Technician should be deleted or changed into 'by the request of the doctor or dentist'. A new independent law should be mode only fer the physical therapist from the general law that stipulates the legal status of other similar medical technicians. 3. The legal status of the physical therapeutic clinic should be stipulated in the regulations for the application of the law as that of the dental technician does. The modification of the medical services, the medical expences, waiting time, the easy access to the clinic of farmers, fishermen, urban laborers, and handicapped people, and the development of the area of the physical therapy.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has experienced tremendous economic and industrial growth in the petroleum, airline, maritime and construction sectors, especially since the discovery of oil reserves. Mass recruitment of low skilled or unskilled laborers from less-developed countries has been utilized to satisfy the manpower demands of these fast paced industrial developments. Such workforce recruitment has created an unusual populace demographic, with the total UAE population estimated at 8.3 million, composed of 950,000 Emiratis, with the remainder being multinational expatriate workers, with varying educational qualifications, work experience, religious beliefs, cultural practices, and native languages. These unique characteristics pose a challenge for health and safety professionals tasked with ensuring the UAE workforce adheres to specific occupational health and safety procedures. The paper discusses two case studies that employ a novel multimedia approach to raising health and safety awareness among a multinational workforce.

Background: As the impact of climate change intensifies, exposure to heat stress will grow, leading to a loss of work capacity for vulnerable occupations and affecting individual labor decisions. This study estimates the future work capacity under the Representative Concentration Pathways 8.5 scenario and discusses its regional impacts on the occupational structure in the Republic of Korea. Methods: The data utilized for this study constitute the local wet bulb globe temperature from the Korea Meteorological Administration and information from the Korean Working Condition Survey from the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute of Korea. Using these data, we classify the occupations vulnerable to heat stress and estimate future changes in work capacity at the local scale, considering the occupational structure. We then identify the spatial cluster of diminishing work capacity using exploratory spatial data analysis. Results: Our findings indicate that 52 occupations are at risk of heat stress, including machine operators and elementary laborers working in the construction, welding, metal, and mining industries. Moreover, spatial clusters with diminished work capacity appear in southwest Korea. Conclusion: Although previous studies investigated the work capacity associated with heat stress in terms of climatic impact, this study quantifies the local impacts due to the global risk of climate change. The results suggest the need for mainstreaming an adaptation policy related to work capacity in regional development strategies.

Historically, children have inevitably been under different treatments depending on their circumstances. In noble families, overprotection rather damaged children; in general, children undergoing important stages of life were exploited as laborers and not cared for. In order to help these children grow whole and healthy, pediatrics has provided information on the right environment and medical treatments for children. In traditional Korean medicine, it is said, "the reason I put gynecology and pediatrics in the first chapters $\cdots$ of this book (Chapter on Pediatrics, Euibangyoochui) is to show my intention of respecting the origin", emphasizing the significance of children as the basis of a person. This is distinguished not only by philosophical implication, but also by its practical contribution to children's health. Euibangyoochui 醫方類聚 is the major book of 15th-century Korean medicine, compiled medicine until Joseon. Through Chapter on pediatrics, which collected medical theories and treatments on children, this paper studies how children had been perceived in traditional Korean medicine, and how it was followed by corresponding medical treatments.

COVID-19 pandemic has made the economy in Indonesia sluggish, especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Simultaneously, the SMEs existence in Indonesia is fundamental and considered important by the government since it is able to assist numerous laborers and become an income source for the lower and middle classes of the community. The productivity of SME in a region will undeniably influence the availability of job and, of course, reduce the number of unemployed. Therefore, in this study, the researchers looked at how to improve SMEs performance to continue to exist amid the COVID-19 pandemic, by identifying the relationships between product characteristics, market competitive strategies, and the performance of SMEs. The research was done on SMEs in West Java, Indonesia. The example employed was Batik SMEs in Cirebon with at least 10 years in existence, and the total number of these SMEs was 165. As the basis of a quantitative approach, this study employed survey instruments by distributing a questionnaire. In analyzing the data, it utilized the structural equation modeling (SEM). The result showed a significant relationship between Product Characteristics, Market Competitive Strategy, and Price and Product Success Rate on SMEs Performance. This study's findings contribute to the SMEs performance literature.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and assess the family policy of the Lee administration and to suggest agendas for sustainable future family policy. Traditionally, families are a unique unit of production and reproduction of family members and social laborers. In addition, families are the social safety net help people survive in a society. Therefore, family policies play an important role in contemporary society. In this context, we review the literature related to family and social policy, and the contents of Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs, which is the main authority in Korea. The results are as follow: Firstly, the Lee administration ignored the data showing that family policy should be a unique policy, and not a sub-division of welfare policy. Secondly, there is no difference between the active welfare policy of the Lee administration and policies of past administrations. Finally, this study suggests that subjects of future oriented family policy should focus on co-developing programs for the individual, family, and society, to develop problem-prevention and family needs- ordered policy, and to make integrated family policy through laws and delivery systems such as Healthy Family Centers.

As the construction project gets bigger in scale, the actual construction itself is becoming more complex. The construction accidents occupy 26.18 percent of total death disaster according to the accidents report in 2007. It is the highest figure among the entire industry, and it shows how serious the construction accident is. In order to reduce accidents occurred in the construction industry, we should find the accident characteristics of construction workers by age. In this study, we investigated 589 cases of fatal accidents, and classified them by trades, type of works, the things that caused the accident, how they occurred, and size. We then identified accident characteristics for each group by analysing them in accordance with workers age. The result of analysis showed that in carpenter and common laborer, the number of death accidents increased as the workers age increased. Another characteristics were that the number of death accidents increased as the age increased in finishing work and reinforced concrete construction and in a smaller-scale businesses, respectively. Common labor was the trade with the highest number of death accidents and the laborers of 50 age or higher in age in finishing working type were the most vulnerable to death accidents.

After the construction participants system is abolished, expectations are high for its consequences such as liquidating paper-companies, holding back low price contracts, and improving multi-stepwise subcontract structure. However, the professional construction firms have been took responsibilities and obligations as businessmen employing the chief workmen and construction workers. For this reason, it is expected that they will be charged a great deal of expenses such as increase in labor management services and laborers, the occurrence of an retirement grants, insurance fees, etc. Since the hold on power of field managers are getting weaker toward the construction workers, it is most likely to have loss in efficiency of production in the long term. Therefore purpose of this research is to analyze difficulties and the point at issues with which professional construction firms are undergoing after abolishing the construction participants system by investigating on the actual condition in the field management. For this research, we got a grip on the actual condition and analyzed the rise of a primary factor on reinforced concrete construction.
