Roll-to-roll 시스템에서 인쇄전자 생산을 위한 댄서 시스템의 LQG 정밀 장력 제어에 대한 연구 (A Study on the LQG Precision Tension Control of a Dancer System for a Production of Printed Electronics in Roll-to-roll Systems)

  • For mass production of printed electronics in roll-to-roll fashion, precision tension control is important to reduce register errors. Register error should be minimized within several to tens of microns for many electronic devices to be manufactured through printing technology. In order to achieve this goal, tension disturbance must be attenuated before printing process within a certain range. In this paper, a certain tension range which allows maintaining register error within 10 micron was defined with specific operating conditions. A LQG controller was proposed instead of the conventional PI controller for precision tension control using a multivariable feedback. A guideline to determine design parameters for calculating LQ gain was proposed. The proposed LQG controller was compared to both PI controller and LQ regulator with white noise by numerical simulations. Results showed that the proposed LQG controller was effective for attenuating tension disturbance with white noise.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to develop methods of designing robust LQR/LQG controllers for time-varying systems with real parametric uncertainties. Controller design that meet desired performance and robust specifications is one of the most important unsolved problems in control engineering. We propose a new framework to solve these problems using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMls) which have gained much attention in recent years, for their computational tractability and usefulness in control engineering. In Robust LQR case, the formulation of LMI based problem is straightforward and we can say that the obtained solution is the global optimum because the transformed problem is convex. In Robust LQG case, the formulation is difficult because the objective function and constraint are all nonlinear, therefore these are not treatable directly by LMI. We propose a sequential solving method which consist of a block-diagonal approach and a full-block approach. Block-diagonal approach gives a conservative solution and it is used as a initial guess for a full-block approach. In full-block approach two LMIs are solved sequentially in iterative manner. Because this algorithm must be solved iteratively, the obtained solution may not be globally optimal.

  • The LQG and LQG/LTR compensators have the same structrues in dynamics. The only difference is the values of the design parameters in the two compensators. The design parameters of the LQG and LQG/LTR compensators are selected in the sense of the least-squares error minimi- zation and loop shaping, respectively. In this paper, the LQG and LQG/ LTR design methods are applied to the helicopter in hover which is modeled as a SISO fourth order system. The dynamic characteristics and the perfor- mance of the two control systems are analyzed by the computer simulation. It is found that the LQG/LTR design method is systematic and has good performance in comparision with the LQG design method.

  • Loop shaping techniques are developed for the LQG/LTR controller design of singular multivariable sytems. One approach is to use the mode form of plant and the other is to replace the eigenvalues at 0 by ones at .epsilon.(.rarw.0). These two concepts for the target filter loop design are applied to a flight autopilot. And it is shown that these techniques are effective ones for the desired loop-shaping of singular multivariable systems.

납고무받침의 비선형성을 고려한 벤치마크 사장교의 복합제어 (Hybrid Control of a Benchmark Cable-Stayed Bridge Considering Nonlinearity of a Lead Rubber Bearing)

  • 본 논문에서는 지진하중을 받는 사장교의 진동제어 기법 개발을 위해 제공된 벤치마크 사장교에 복합제어 기법을 적용하였다. 이 벤치마크 문제는 2003년 완공 예정으로 미국 Missouri 주에 건설중인 Cape Girardeau 교를 대상 구조물로 고려하였다. Cape Girardeau 교는 New Madrid 지진구역에 위치하고 Mississippi 강을 횡단하는 주요 교량이라는 점 때문에 설계 단계에서부터 내진 문제를 중요하게 고려하였다. 벤치마크 문제에는 사장교의 상세한 설계도면에 기초해 교량의 복잡한 거동을 나타낼 수 있는 3자원 선형모델과 각 제어기법의 성능을 평가하기 위한 18개의 평가기준이 제시되어 있다. 본 연구에서 적용한 복합제어 기법은 지진하중으로 인해 구조물에 발생되는 하중을 줄이기 위한 수동제어 기법과 상판변위와 같은 구조물의 응답을 추가적으로 제어하기 위한 능동제어 기법이 결합된 제어 방법이다. 수동제어 장지로는 납고무받침을 사용하였고 Bouc-Wen 모델을 사용하여 비선형 거동을 고려 할 수 있도륵 모델링 하였다. 능동제어 장치로는 이상적인 hydraulic actuators 가 사용되었으며 제어 알고리듬은 $H_2$/LQG 를 적용하였다. 수치해석 결과 제안방법의 성능은 수동제어 방법에 비해 매우 효과적이며, 능동제어 방법에 비해서는 약간 좋은 제어성능을 나타내었다. 복합제어 방법은 수동제어 부분 때문에 능동제어 방법에 비해 보다 신뢰할 수 있는 제어 방법이다. 따라서 제안된 제어방법은 지진하중을 받는 사장교의 제어를 위해 효과적으로 사용될 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a linear stocastic dynamic system with norm - bounded plant perpurbations and norm - bounded noise covariarice is studied. Instead of Bellman-Gronwall inequality used in previous study, Lyapunov stability theorem is used to derive stability condition. The new condition is of more compact form than the previous result.

  • A LQG/LTR(linear quadratic Gaussian/loop transfer recovery) controller with an integrator is designed to control the electro-hydraulic positioning system. Without considering the nonlinearity in the dead-zone, computer simulations are performed and show good performances and tracking abilities with the feedback controller based on the linear system model. However, the performance of the closed loop hydraulic positioning system shows big steady-state error in real system because of the dead-zone. In this paper, the feedback controller with a nonlinear compensator is introduced to overcome the dead-zone phenomenon in hydraulic systems. The inverse dead-zone as a nonlinear compensator is used to cancel out the dead-zone phenomenon. Experimental tests are performed to verify the performance of the controller.

  • In this paper, two plant models, of which one is newly developed and the other one is the conventional one, of the focus servo system of DVD drive are presented and a two-degree-of freedom controller consisted of Inverse dynamics feedforward and LQG/LTR feedback controller is designed. The newly developed plant model is used to design the feedforward controller and the conventional model is used for the design of feedback controller. The output of newly developed model is the displacement of objective lens and the output of conventional model is the focus error of the DVD focus servo system. The displacement of the objective lens is estimated by the dynamics model of the DVD focus servo system. The disturbance rejection performance of the two-degree-of freedom controller is compared with that of an LQG/LTR one.

  • A road-adaptive LQG control for the semi-active Macpherson strut suspension system of hydraulic type is investigated. A new control-oriented model, which incorporates the rotational motion of the unsprung mass, is used for control system design. First, based on the extended least squares estimation algorithm, a LQG controller adapting to the estimated road characteristics is designed. With computer simulations, the performance of the proposed LQC-controlled semi-active suspension is compared with that of a non-adaptive one. The results show better control performance of the proposed system over the compared one.
