  • This paper presents a potential for application of Inductive Power Transfer(IPT) to the light railway vehicle system. IPT system allows for a vehicle fitted with existing or new generation batteries to park over a small charging unit and commence charging immediately. Regular charging will allow for smaller batteries to be used in vehicles. In this paper, IPT system uses a full-bridge LLC resonant converter and is possible for the regenerative braking which is an energy recovery mechanism.

  • This paper applies a structural technique with uniform parallel switch characteristics in gates and power loops to minimize the ringing and current imbalance that occurs when a general discrete package (TO-247)-based power semiconductor device is operated in parallel. Also, this propose a heat sink integrated switching module with heat sink design flexibility and high power density. The developed heat dissipation-integrated switching module verifies the symmetry of the parasitic inductance of the parallel switch through Q3D by ansys and the validity of the structural technique of the parallel switch using the LLC resonant converter experiment operating at a rated capacity of 7.5 kW.

  • In this paper, we deals with the digitization of high frequency sine wave power supply using power source of high frequency surgical equipment and RF device. High frequency surgical equipment has been using commonly on medical surgery because of its merits such as programmable depth of incision, availability of incision and coagulation in the same device, increasing the usability on surgical side. However, the core part of the device is consists of vacuum tubes which are expensive, not ease to use and must be imported, therefore it is inevitable of high prices, forces to develop the fully digitized alternative technology. The fully digitized high frequency sine wave power supply for surgical device is proposed and verified by experimental results.
